Kai's POV

The guys and i were walking on Ninjago streets and had a great time. Until i saw him.
The Kill Jaw.

Let's just say.. i don't have a good history with that guy.. when i was the Red Shogun i had to battle him.

Legends say that nobody could or can defeat him.
I thought this was a piece of cake, but it was the opposite. So i ended up in broken legs and a blue eye. Since then i tried to avoid him, or else he'll make fun of me. And no way that's gonna happen if my friends are here.

We are walking on the streets. The Kill Jaw walked towards our direction.
I quickly hide behind Cole hoping he wouldn't see me.
"What are you doing?!" He almost yelled.
"Can't you just shut up?!" I whisper yelled. Almost panicking because the Kill jaw came closer towards our direction. But it was already to late..

"Well well well.. isn't it the red shogun." He taunted while facing me.
"Good to see you too." I muttered under my breath.
"What do you say Smith? Why so shy? Oh i remember , it was since the 'Accident' isn't it."

"Which accident?" Jay interrupted.

"Oh so you didn't tell your friends Smith? Well i'm gonna explain it with lot's of love.. he lose from me in a battle and since then , your first place is gone. As your pride." He smirked.
"Shut up." I said annoyed.

"Why so big mouth hot head? I should be careful if i was you" he taunted while 'playfully' punching my shoulder.

"Hey! He's not a hot head! And if i was you , i should shut up your ugly mouth before Kai burn you into crisps!"
I turn around to see my best friend defending me.
"Lloyd.." i warned.

"Oh is that so?" Kill Jaw taunted.
"Yes! He'll kick your butt if you two have a fight again!" Lloyd almost yelled.
I face palmed at what he just said.

"Okay then, tomorrow 3 o'clock AM .. see you there Smith, oh and good luck, you probably need that." After that he chuckled darkly while walking away.

"Lloyd are you nuts?! How do you think i'm gonna win?! I have just one day to train! That isn't enough!" I panicked while yelling at him.

"Don't worry Kai, we'll all help you. And besides you have gone through much , i think you can beat that guy." Cole said.

But after that he said that. We saw Kill Jaw punching a men so hard that he was flying a few feet away. He landed as we all winced.

"Okay.. i doubt that now.. But we'll help you anyway." Cole finished with an unsure smile.
I just gulped still looking at the men who doesn't move. "I hope so.."

The next day i had a lot of training. And with a lot i mean a lot. Cole sat on my back while i had to do 500 push ups. I had to run 10 km. And and lots more.
I'm exhausted, my whole body ached and i think my left feet is numb now. I laid lazy in my bed not even worrying about tomorrow.
My energy is just up.

"WAKE UP KAI!" Lloyd yelled while holding pans and slashing them together.
I yelled as i fell from my top bunk with a loud thump. I just groaned still laying on the ground.
"KAI IT'S ALMOST TIME! IT'S 2 AM YOU OVERSLEPT!" He yelled.

"2.. am.." I mumbled first, but then I realized something  "oh shoot!" i quickly put on my ninja gi, brushed my natural hair, eat Cole's last peace of cake, brushed my teeth, and came running back to Lloyd.
"Woah 10 minutes , your fast Kai." Lloyd said almost amazed "But i was kidding , it's half past 10"

I had the urge to slab Lloyd's teeth out of his mouth but he already run away.
I suddenly hear someone yelling "OKAY WHO EATE MY CAKE?!" I bet that would be Cole.

We all were on the place where I have to fight Kill Jaw..
i feel like throwing up, but who cares?

I'm just wearing my ninja suit waiting on the side line as my friends were encouraging me.

"You can do it Kai! Just use your skills and everything will be okay." Lloyd said.
"Yeah! And besides you have gone through a lot more than him!" Jay almost yelled.

We all shushed him as the other people looked at him.

"I believe in you-" Nya said but to be cut off by little earthquakes.
Well.. earthquakes?

It were more like heavy footsteps. How heavy is that guy?!
Kill Jaw walked into the area as my friends began to leave "You can do it Kai." Zane said for one last time.

"What?! Look at him! I bet not even Lloyd can-" Jay began but to be cut off by Cole slapping at his head.

"Ready Smith?" Kill Jaw taunted while stretching his neck and knuckles.
I just chuckled nervously "Yeah, of course! Why wouldn't I be.. heheh.." I have to admit that guy is so much taller than me.

"The undefeated Kill Jaw. Versus. The red shogun! Ready?!" The announcer yelled 3.2.1! Fight!"

Kill Jaw reacted immediately. He lunged at me as I side stepped. He tried to kick me but I dodge.
He was like a raging animal. How am I supposed to defeat that thing?!

I tried to punch him but to be only caught by my wrist. He swirled me around as I landed on the wall with my back.
I let out a groan of pain before I quickly recovered.

Kill Jaw run up to me but I jumped in the air and kick him in the back.
He fell forward as he landed face fist with the wall.

I heard my friends cheering behind me.

But I saw something in his pocket it looked like.. I gasped.. No way..
before I could react Kill Jaw recovered and kicked me on my chest.
I coughed as I jumped out of the way before I was smashed by his big hands.

How am I gonna grab that thing if he's like a animal who wants to catch it's prey.
But then I realized something.

You have a fury soul Kai. It is sometimes good for in battles. But don't get to angry with your temper. Or else it will go wrong...

That's it! Fighting without fighting.. I just need to make him angry.
"What's wrong Kill dork, scared you can't beat me?!" I yelled at him.

The growled in response and raced towards me.
I slide under his legs as he crashed up to the wall. I took the opportunity to grab the illegal pills out of his pocket who were in a plastic little box.

I held it high in the air "This is why Kill Jaw won every battle! He used illegal growing pills to make himself stronger!" I yelled as I looked at all the people.

The whole crowd gasped "You traitor Kill Jaw!" One of them said as they all began to scream things.

"Well then I see the new winner and new champion! The undefeated Red Shogun!" He announcer yelled through the microphone.

My friends and the crowd cheered.  "Go Red Shogun! Go Red Shogun!"

It was awesome. Until I heard Kill Jaw yelling and run up to me. He literally smashed me into some electrified things. I don't know what it was. But there was one thing I could tell. It was extremely painful. I could feel the electricity through my veins as I let out a scream of pain. I heard everybody wince before everything became black.

I let our a groan of pain before I opened my eyes. I looked at my surroundings as everything became clear. It revealed that I'm in the hospital lying on a bed.
"Kai! You're awake!" I heard a femine voice saying beside me.

"Nya..?" I asked slightly dazed.
"Yes it's me, and the guys are here too." She said as she motioned to them behind her.
They al smiled.
"Glad you're back brother." Zane said.

"Kai, I'm so sorry.. I shouldn't let you fight that guy if I didn't do that . This wouldn't have happened-" Lloyd begun.

"It's okay Lloyd.." I interrupted with a smile "Because if you didn't do that. I wouldn't be the new official champion." I said as I smirked.

We all laughed at my little joke. Family is awesome, isn't it?
