"Pah, up to the shoulders...", Cole put on an annoyed face and tried not to burst into laughter, since acting wasn't really one of his talents.

But it worked.

"Oh, now don't be offended," said Kai surprised and angry at himself.

He scurried through Cole's silk, black hair and looked into his perfect face in the meantime.

Then Cole burst out laughing and gently pushed Kai away from him.

"You are such an idiot Kaiii", he giggled and Kai finally noticed that his lover had just been kidding him.

It was a wonderful autumn afternoon and the couple walked through the forest, heard the birds chirping their song, saw the brightly colored leaves fall from the trees and enjoyed the warm rays of the sun on their skin.

The fire ninja grabbed a handful of leaves and came up to his friend with it.

Cole grinned and ran away screaming and laughing, Kai rushed after him.

So they rushed through the dense forest until Kai finally managed to catch up with Cole and pour the full load of leaves over his head.

"Heyyyy," Cole gasped and wiped it off his body.

A beautiful orange leaf that he hadn't noticed was still hanging in his hair and the sight made Kai laugh.

"What?", Cole asked confused and grabbed his head.

With a red face full of shame, he felt the leaf and plucked it from his head.

The earth ninja looked at it and twisted it between his fingers.

Stroked gently along the slight grooves. "What are you looking at? Asked Kai, confused, and came closer.

"Look here," said Cole, trying to hide his grin, and held it up to his spiky-haired boyfriend.

"What? ...", the moment when Kai had his head very close to the leaf, Cole pushed it into his face, gleefully at his revenge, and waved the damp leaf around in it.

Cole would have fallen directly on him, but the black-haired man still managed to support himself with his hands on the floor.

"I'm sorry," Cole muttered and he blushed with shame.

"By the way, thank you, I really like having leaves wiped in my face, how did you know that?" Asked Kai theatrically and ironically.

"Oh, just had that feeling you would, you know, I ...", the black ninja got no further, because pecked him several times in the ribs, which made him squeak.

Kai laughed. He loved to tease his lover, because he knew how much Cole hated to be tickled.

Finally, the earth ninja could no longer hold on and fell completely on his lover.

"You're such an asshole Kai," he mumbled offended.

"I'm a what?", Kai asked teasingly and continued tickling Cole.

He laughed and pushed himself away from Kai so that he was lying next to him.

"St-stop it," he grinned and took Kai's hands in his.

"Only if you take it back," Kai insisted.

Kai also blushed because his lover just looked too cute as he sat, beaming over both ears, rosy red in his face, happily snuggled into his jacket.

Then suddenly Cole sneezed.

And again.

Kai looked at him worried. Cole sneezed again.

"Okay Cole, we should go back now, otherwise you'll catch a cold" decided Kai, who was very careful about his friend's health.

Cole protested, he didn't want to give up this beautiful moment for anything, but then he felt his nose start to run.

And he had to admit that it would actually be better to go home now.

Because if he got sick now, he would have to go without Kai for a while.

And that was still worse than just giving up being alone with him now.

"Come on, honey," sighed Kai and took Cole by the hand.

Cole blushed and giggled. Kai also had to smile.

Because he loved to hold Cole by the hand like a little child.

So now they walked hand in hand through the autumn-colored forest and no one said a word, only the leaves rustled under their feet. And they both smiled and loved each other as they couldn't more.
