Kai let out a sight, flopping onto his bed. Cole letting out a grunt as he landed on his own sleeping area. Both of them were sore from the last mission, which was an utter disaster. They had to actually sleep in a hotel when they split up with the others. Taking the ground while the others took the air with the Bounty. Why them tho? No idea. (Kai is pretty sure Nya had her fingers in it. She has been telling him to confess his little crush on Cole.) He would just lay down for a moment before sitting up, beginning to take his shirt off as usual. They smell... A lot after missions.

As for Cole, he would be just as exhausted. Rolling onto his side as he let out a little groan. He is pretty sure Jay had set them up on this. Ever since the incident with Nya he realized he has probably been crushing on the wrong Smith Sibling. (almost Twin. One could never tell at first glance those two were actually a few years apart.)The blue Ninja beeing the only one who knew after he confessed it. He blinked when he heard movement from Kai's side of the hotel room they were staying at. It was small but quiet cozy. Old school too. He could almost immediately feel his Cheeks warm at the sight of the other teen taking off a dirty shirt. Of course getting rid of all the belts, wrappings and whatnot first. No wonder really, it was dirty and sweaty as this part of Ninjago is pretty cold, meaning the hotel was overdoing the heating. Luckily they actually turned that off... tho heat doesn't usually bother Kai as much. He disquized it with a tired sight. Flopping on his back as he turned his head towards him. Face hidden under his arm.

"Geez. Not hot enough in here for ya?" the idiotic pickup line came out of nowhere. Surprising both himself and Kai. Who stopped mid way from taking off the undershirt he wears under the yakuta top. A bit of silence and, was Kai's face getting red?, after a minute Kai replied.
"You don't seem to mind judging by the way you're eyeing me." the Master of Fire let out in a teasing tone, making the blush on Cole's Cheeks darken as he sputtered. "Said the one who looked like a deer in headlights when I got out of the shower the other day!" It was Kai's turn to turn deep red. Spluttering before he suddenly got a glint in his eye, a smirk playing on his lips. A devilish one. Oh boy what is happening?!

"Wow there Rocky, you should ground yourself. You could float away with that smugness."

OH God. "Sure thing there hot stuff. But last i checked I am pretty down to the earth, tho you seem like you might need help with it."

Kai only grinned. Cheeks as red as before if not a bit more. "We'll isn't it cold down on the earth then?" He asked before suddenly Cole found himself with a lapful of a blacksmith. "Maybe I should turn on the heat."

Cole could only smile lopsidedly. Pulling the younger teen closer.

"Maybe you should."

Cole felt like he could die happily right there and now, honestly so did Kai. Who knew bad puns could lead to such great situations? He had no idea who leaned in first but suddenly his lips met Cole's darker ones. The more burly male holding him close as his Cheeks got red. Hopefully he won't actually set anything on fire.... He closed his eyes. Leaning into it as Cole took the lead. A tongue prodding at his lips, Kai opened his mouth. Letting Cole in. He tasted like peppermint and.. Cake? Of course. He wrapped his arms arround Cole's shoulders, the older teen's arms tightening arround his waist. After a minute more they separated. Each red and gasping for breath as Kai opened his now dazed golden eyes. Cole's dark brown ones were equally glazed over. Staring at the smaller male.

"... Wanna do that again?"

The black haired male asked, dazed as Kai nodded. Cole giving a goofy grin as he dragged him into another kiss. Huh. Maybe this mission was not such a disaster after all.

Cole confirmed after waking up in the morning with an armful of the brown haired male. Feeling good and rather proud of himself when the other one winced as he walked.

He might have deserved that pillow in the face after laughing too.
