Only

Lloyd was sitting in his dimly lit room, his face buried in his hands. He wanted to talk to someone, but he didn't want to wake anyone up. Besides, it was only his fault that he didn't have anyone to talk to.

Hadn't he told them not to worry? Hadn't he been the one who gave them that convincing smile and told them he was fine? Yes of course. And surely he had lied to them.

He was not well. Sure, he wanted to be okay. But that's not the same, is it? I had already thought about it a moment ago. Maybe that was the way it was. If he wanted to be okay, he could just ignore that he wasn't. No one was going to know.

Except for him, and that didn't really count. As long as no one else knew. He could pull it off, right? He could act like everything was fine, maybe he could even act like everything was fine.

He played with thought a bit.

Why do not do it? Why didn't you do that a long time ago? If he really tried, he could probably pull off a credible act. A perfect act

Then everyone would like it. It would no longer be just the green ninja. Or Garmadon's son. It would be Lloyd Garmadon, the boy who was completely fine.

He would be kind, understanding, caring, helpful, but more importantly, he would never have a problem when it came to him.

He would never cause trouble, he would never hurt anyone, he would never ruin anything ...

But hadn't he already tried?

He did it. And it had worked very well. Very good. They had all been so happy, because he finally seemed to feel better.

Everyone thought that, because he just kept the act. Even Lloyd thought he was doing well. I thought I was happy. Until it all fell on him on nights like this and he realized that he had fooled everyone, including himself.

He massaged his forehead, trying to figure out where this all ended and how the lie began. I had no idea. It was quite difficult to understand.

I wanted to talk to someone, but what would he say? I couldn't tell them it wasn't okay. He was supposed to be okay! Why wasn't there then?

He blinked, trying to make the stinging sensation in his eyes go away, but as soon as he realized the tears, it seemed like they just wouldn't stop.

Tears ran down her cheeks as she tried to stifle the sob that escaped her lips. He couldn't risk anyone listening to him. He couldn't risk letting them find out.

She hugged herself tightly as more tears fell, trying to calm herself. But it seemed that the more he tried to stop crying, or at least to stop crying, the worse it got.

Lloyd jumped. Someone was at the door. He didn't want to be seen like that. What the hell should I do?

"Just act." The voice in his head screamed. He would just have to pretend he was happy again. No problem.

He opened the door and prepared to walk out with his best smile.

- Lloyd? Are you okay? - but of course, it was Kai. He had found out with that fake smile. After all, Lloyd had been crying seconds before.

- Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine - she gave Kai what she hoped was a reassuring but believable smile - Why are you asking? -

"Oh, I just wanted to see you and see if you were really okay." Kai gave him the same look that Lloyd often reminded Nya of when he was worried about him, but Lloyd couldn't understand exactly what he was supposed to mean on this subject. I've been acting weird lately and we're, well ... I'm a little worried about you, we all are - Kai paused for a moment, looking almost looking for something on Lloyd - Are you sure you're okay? -

"I'm totally fine," Lloyd tried, but his voice trailed off. He bit his lip. Kai really looked worried. Maybe I should tell him?

Kai put a gentle hand on Lloyd's shoulder and once again, everything collapsed on Lloyd.

Before he knew it, he was crying into Kai's shirt. Telling him everything. Kai just listened as he rubbed Lloyd's back. He didn't say much, but he didn't need to. Because in that moment, Lloyd knew he was not alone.
