But it turns out that living on a flying ship was not as bad as he thought, at least no one bothers him anymore, nor do they steal his personal things every day or bother him like when he lived in the Dark Boarding School for Villains, Lloyd was glad at least sleep well the first night without having to wake up with red ants stinging their skin, and to have decent food, since in the boarding school the meals were dry, cold and sometimes the children themselves had to make their own meals in the kitchen area from the Boarding School, which was very inappropriate and unhygienic, and Lloyd couldn't believe that they hired an inept chef from the Kryptarium. Tasting Zane's food for the first time, it looked like he was going to gobble up the entire breakfast by himself, but he had to curb his hungry instincts on the first day of breakfast with the others.

Lloyd's life took a 360 degree turn in a radical way, he did not think that his uncle would give him a good home, a comfortable bed, food, and give him his own things, (well, they even had to go to the old room shared from Lloyd so they could retrieve their boarding school things, but some of their teachers apparently got rid of some of them when Lloyd ran away), still, he didn't understand why he received his uncle's affection after making many mistakes, and It was even weirder to receive the ninjas' sincere apologies for leaving it hanging on the Jamanakai sign, but Lloyd thinks he brought it on himself.

Still, the days passed normally for Lloyd, but there were good and boring days, so to entertain himself he did what he should do for fun: play pranks on people. He only did them when he had nothing better to do with his free time, he didn't spend much time drawing on his wall with the crayons Cole had given him or the comics donated by Jay , besides, he knew Zane had put in a good effort hide the cookies and sweets that were in the kitchen, at least stealing Jay's sweets from his hiding place was easier, also thanks to Nya he already knew how the Ship's systems worked, but he was already bored even handling the Ship's rudder .

So he started playing pranks on the ninjas, simple pranks, but only when they weren't doing something, since he knows very well that sometimes they would arrive at the Ship tired and sometimes injured after their fights with the serpentines or some other criminal that he didn't know either reptilian or bony.

It started with little jokes, like; swapping the wires on Jay's training robots again, taking bites out of Cole's cakes, dyeing some of Zane's white clothes pink, and swapping Kai's hair gel for hair paint. The only one she didn't tease was Nya , and Uncle Wu especially, not Nya because she was the first to accept him on the Ship, and her uncle was excluded from her teasing since he was good enough to Don't fall for their childish pranks. Of course Lloyd wasn't trying to get on Kai 's nerves in a bad way, he already knows that he should put limits on his jokes to the Fire Ninja since the first time he witnessed his "true anger" was when Jay modified one of the robots training, which ended up making a mess in the entire training area inside the Ship, and which also almost killed Kai since he was the only one who did not flee from the place and spent almost an hour trying to destroy the robot, then from that he took out all his anger with Jay and, literally, the Sensei Wu normally asked Cole and Zane to take Lloyd far away this time while Nya searched for a fire extinguisher plus a first aid kit.

But still, the days passed and Lloyd continued with his helpless jokes, even though the ninjas were somewhat tense according to the topic of the mysterious Samurai X.

But everything changed one day, and that was when Lloyd witnessed for the first time how one of the boys ended up seriously injured after a mission as a Ninja.

And unfortunately, the injured one turned out to be Kai...

Everything had happened so fast, she still remembered the moment when she was quietly in the kitchen reading one of her comics while eating the cookies that Zane had prepared for her, Wu was also there, but in her meditation room and Nya had not seen her in the corridors of the Ship but he assumed that she was working in the engine room since lately she has been stuck there all the time doing things that Lloyd had not yet discovered. But the commotion started when he heard the cries for help from Jay, Cole and Zane who burst into the main hallway of the Ship while Cole and Zane dragged Kai on each side as he was bleeding from the left side of his body. Or at least that's what Lloyd got to see, because when he went to see with his uncle what had happened, he saw in horror how Kai was fainted while being held by Cole and Zane.

His uncle quickly ordered him to go to his room, and without hesitation he obeyed him, just at that moment he saw how Nya came out of nowhere and helped the boys take his brother to the ship's medical room. Lloyd ran to his room and locked himself in as he sat on his bed and pulled his legs close to his chest and buried his face in it, silently praying to his grandfather, the First Master, that Kai was okay.

- Lloyd? – A thick and calm voice snapped him out of his trance as he felt a hand on his shoulder. Lloyd hadn't realized that he had been in this position for a few hours already, surely he fell asleep and didn't realize it, but when he looked up he saw his uncle Wu sitting on his bed while standing next to him with a worried expression but calm at the same time.

- Uncle Wu...? – Lloyd felt confused but even so, he didn't forget the recent events with the Red Ninja – Wait, Kai is... -

- Calm down, nephew, Kai is fine for now, but he will need some time to recover from his wound, it was unfortunately serious in my opinion, but I assure you that he will be fine - Affectionately, Wu caressed Lloyd's head to be able to offer him a consolation of that everything was going to be alright.

After those events, things changed for Lloyd like the day he came to live with the Ninjas, from what he understood, a criminal, ( luckily not serpentine ), tried to carry out a robbery in a small food business in the city of Ninjago, luckily the boys were in the area and managed to scare off the attacker in time before he started hurting the civilians involved in the business, but not before quickly hitting the cash register manager and stealing all the money out of the box and running out of the place, Kai was the one who decided to go after him and managed to chase him into an alley but as soon as he tried to take the money and stop him, Kai didn't count on the guy pulling out his gun and shooting him a couple of times only to feel one of the bullets go through a part of his abdomen, but the guy was low on ammunition and with the adrenaline he still had left Kai managed to knock him out in one hit and leave him lying on the ground.

As soon as the others arrived with Kai the first thing they noticed was the blood on Kai 's uniform, they wasted no time and took him back to the Ship leaving the attacker and the money in the alley thinking that maybe the police would take care of the rest of the matter.

Zane was the one who performed a quick operation on Kai and luckily he managed to remove the bullet that was embedded inside his wound, and Kai was lucky that the caliber of the weapon was not so powerful since the bullet did not make it through a vital organ. Since then they have left him in the medical room and it is Nya, Zane and Wu who monitor his condition. Even so, Lloyd also wanted to see Kai , but all he did was watch him being taken care of from the corner of one of the corridors that led directly to the medical room, there he could see from afar how everyone took care of Kai's condition except the because he was just a kid.

But the days passed and Kai seemed to be getting better, even a few days ago he opened his eyes and kept insisting that he was fine. But even so, Nya and the others confined him to the medical room until he fully recovered, it was good to at least see the ninjas and Nya supporting each other like a teenage family.

But even so, Lloyd did not dare to cross that door, he was still afraid of how Kai's reaction would be.

But then the day came that changed everything...

Lloyd hadn't played pranks on the others since he saw Kai hurt, but being somewhat depressed and bored he thought that a little prank on Jay might entertain him a bit, he filled a bucket with green paint and placed it in the kitchen doorway, as Jay, after a mission, would go straight to the kitchen for a drink or snack. Satisfied with his mischief, he turned to climb up on the table and reach for some cookies so he could better enjoy Jay's reaction once the bucket fell on his head. But his serious miscalculation was that he didn't count that Kai was still on the Ship still injured, nor did he think that it would occur to him to get up from his bed, (in which he was severely confined by Nya and Cole), and go to the kitchen. As soon as he heard someone slide the kitchen door he saw in horror how the bucket fell on Kai's head and the paint stained both his head and some parts of his body, Kai fell to the ground in pain as he was still weak from his gunshot wound, even his bandages were stained with paint, the hit from the bucket must have hurt him even more as he even went down on his knees on the ground while holding the area of his wound and doubled over in pain.

- Kai! – Lloyd shouted worriedly and jumped off the table and immediately ran over to Kai to take the bucket off his head - I'm sorry, I'm sorry! It was supposed to be for Jay, I didn't think you'd walk into the kitchen! I'm really sorry, Kai! – Lloyd hurriedly began to apologize as he watched as Kai straightened up and tried to process what had just happened.

- Hey, wasn't that pudding Jay's? Kai said as he raised an eyebrow and pointed to the pudding Lloyd had.

- Maybe - Lloyd says innocently as he begins to eat the pudding.

- Well, try not to catch up later - he says as he settled a little on the bed without caring that Lloyd was there.

- I can always blackmail him with showing that picture of him kissing a pillow to Nya -

- Did you keep it? – asks Kai jokingly, since the others had promised Jay that they would hide that embarrassing photo of him ridiculously kissing his pillow while he slept. But somehow Lloyd managed to find the photo in the hideout where the boys slept.
