Today in all Ninjago was a special date, because today was June 17, Father's Day. Children and parents spent all their time together playing, sharing things and celebrating in their own way.

In Ignacia the children spent quality time with their parents except for two children who lived in the "Cuatro Armas" smithy. Kai and Nya Smith did not have a father to celebrate with on this good day as they had lost both parents on the same day when they were 7 and 3 years old. They were now 13 and 9 years old. Since that day Kai started working as a blacksmith in the workshop of his family to continue the legacy of his father, and to tried very hard to keep all her younger sister Nya, who was now all he had left.

Nya, being even younger, could not work with her brother, but she always helped him with the deliveries and accounts for the products sold. She could also see that Kai became more responsible and more mature since she knew that he had tried so hard for both of them.

Kai had now grown into an adult at a young age as he put aside his childhood in order to get on with the job. Nya could see that Kai looked a lot like his father, he was responsible, protective, a bit impulsive, kind, loyal and sometimes wise. He could see a perfect image of both of them, of course except for the hair color.

Kai already behaved like father and brother at the same time, every time she had any doubts about life she always went with Kai to find an answer, and luckily he knew how to differentiate good from bad about things and people. And though are experienced difficult times have always been able to manage both.

The 9-year-old girl was still in the living room while her brother was still working in her father's workshop. Sometimes she wished she could have her father back so she could celebrate this holiday, but she knew that all of this was impossible and she knew it. He had left.

The day passed and night fell and Nya was still in the living room playing with her things or drawing whatever comes to mind. But then his brother came in knowing that it was his time to sleep.

- Nya, come on, it's time to sleep, little sister - he answered as he approached his sister who already looked very sleepy on her face.

- But ... - a yawn interrupted her - I still want to be here with you, brother - her eyelids felt heavy and she rubbed them with her hand to stay awake.

With a sympathetic giggle, Kai approached his sister and took her in a hug while Nya's head settled on his shoulder.

- Nya, remember that good girls respect their bedtime - he said as he took her to her room and laid her on her bed and tucked her in.

- You are not going to sleep? - Asked sleepy.

- I still have to finish the job, but I promise to come up soon -

- This well -

- Good night, Nya. Have sweet dreams - he said as he turned off the lamp on the nightstand that was next to his bed.

"You are a good father, Kai," she said as she fell asleep. Kai paused for an instant but then continued on his way.

When it was late at night Nya woke up around 11 at night and could still see the light downstairs on, which she knew Kai was still working on. Leaving his room under the stairs and there in the workshop he could see Kai already asleep while he was sitting and resting his upper body on the work table.

From his condition he could see that he tried hard, as always. He really seemed like a father to her. When an idea occurred to him, he could see on the clock that it was still Father's Day, so he quickly took a sheet of paper and colors and began to draw and write. And when he finished, he put the sheet to one side of Kai's hands, careful not to wake him up, taking a blanket that was on the sofa, he covered him with it. Then he went back to his room and fell asleep again.

When it was already daylight Kai woke up uncomfortably on the work table, stretching a little he had not noticed the sheet with which he had been covered that fell to the floor and when he looked at the table he could see the sheet of paper.

Taking it he could see that it was a drawing of him and Nya together smiling, he carried a sword that he raised victoriously over him and said: "My hero". And below it said: "To the best brother and father in the world. Happy Father's Day"

Smiling tenderly, he put the drawing in his work apron and then went up to Nya's room and when he entered there he could see her still asleep covered with her sheets. Approaching her, he leaned down and gave her a kiss on the head, symbolizing that he loved her as much as his sister, as his daughter at the same time.

He knew he had to protect her and help her as much as he could, because that is what parents and siblings are for. And she would not let anyone hurt her and would always support her in everything and that she will always be by her side.

"Thank you, Nya," he said in a whisper as he stroked her hair, and smiled at his sleeping sister.

With the city saved from the evil Great Tyrant and finally living in peace, the ninjas celebrate Father's Day with their respective parents. Cole along with Lou. Jay with his father Ed (and of course also his mother Edna). Zane along with Dr. Julien and Lloyd alongside Garmadon who was finally purified from evil.

Kai and Nya of course did not have a father of their own with whom to celebrate this day. But Nya did not care, as she always liked to spend this day with her brother, as she considered him as a father.

But today the two senseis Garmadon and Wu had something special planned for the two Smith brothers.

Wu knew that Kai and Nya always spent this day alone without a father, but when he recruited Kai to be a ninja, he felt a paternal relationship with him since he always supported the two brothers in all their problems, so he considered both like their children.

Garmadon knew the father of both brothers very well. And every time he saw Kai he reminded him a lot of his old friend. Of course, he did not know his son, the fire ninja, well, but he did know that he had the same attitudes as his father. Apart from that he was very grateful for the times that he has protected and cared for his son Lloyd while he was still Lord Garmadon. And since he saw that his son greatly admired Kai, he and Wu decided to do something to the two brothers.

- Kai, Nya. We want to tell you something - Wu spoke as he saw the two brothers somewhat confused by the sudden visit of the senseis.

- Sure, what's up sensei Wu? - Kai was the first to ask.

- You see we know that you two spend this day alone. But I would like to invite you to the meal that Misako prepared for everyone for this Father's Day - Garmadon said.

- U.S? T-It's nice of you, but how are we going to go to a parenting meal without even having one? - thought Nya.

- Well if you accept, you could be our children for this day - Wu replied.

- U.S? ... their children? - Kai said somewhat surprised.

- Of course. You two have done a lot for my son Lloyd who sometimes talks about you and considers you as the older brothers he has never had - declared Garmadon cheerfully.

- And I've always been there for you two when there were difficult situations. It's what a parent would do, right? -

Kai and Nya knew the senseis were right, Wu always helped them and Garmadon always thanked them for taking care of Lloyd and in them they could see two good father figures. So the two agreed.

- Sure, sensei. We would love to be your children this day - Kai replied with a smile, as did Nya while the senseis only showed joy in their person.

And so that Father's Day Kai and Nya were able to have two very good and loving parents for that day.

After beating the hands of time Ninjago was at peace again, but at a cost, Wu had to sacrifice himself in order to save Ray and stop Acronix and Krux.

Kai and Nya were devastated by it, but they still hoped to find it. They have already lost their two parents Garmadon and Wu. But now they got their real father back and that was all that mattered.

They had found and recovered their parents Ray and Maya who had been kidnapped by Krux long ago, all to protect the two of them.

After Ray and Maya settled in their old house, they had the opportunity to start their lives anew, even though their children had grown up, they still considered them their beloved children. Whenever they could, they went to visit them and vice versa, so they did not pressure them so much since they still had the mission of protecting Ninjago and finding Master Wu.

But when Father's Day arrived, Ray was somewhat pensive, he knew that before he spent all his time with his children on this day, but, now that they are of legal age, he still wondered if they had not forgotten those pleasant times.

Maya always told him not to put too much pressure on them since they were older and had their own responsibilities. But it was still hard for Ray to let them go. They have spent a lot of time apart from them and I wanted to make up for lost time.

But while he was in his thoughts he heard someone knock on the door so Maya went to check who it was. But when he opened it he saw that it was Kai and Nya.

- Kids! - Maya greeting happy to see her children while hugging each one.

- Hi mom, how have you been? - Kai greeted his mother happily as he and Nya entered the house.

- We're fine, son. And you? -

- We're fine too, mom. There haven't been so many crimes these days - Nya replied.

- Yes. The city has been calm and peaceful -

- I am glad to hear that -

- And dad? - Kai asked knowing he didn't see his father.

- Here I am children -

- Hello Dad. I'm glad to see you well -

- My son too - she said while hugging Kai, and gave Nya a kiss in front of her - Should I ask why this visit is due? -

- Well, me and Nya were thinking, if you would like to go eat with us to celebrate Father's Day? Of course, if you want -

Ray inside him was very happy to hear that invitation, it seems that his children have not forgotten him on this day.

- Y-Sure! I would love it very much, children -

- We're glad to hear that, dad -

In that, the family went to celebrate in their own way the rest of the day, reliving everything they did in the past with their father and finally they became a family again.
