Kai sat in his cop car whistling while he kept an eye on his surroundings. His gaze narrowed as he spotted a drug deal in a nearby ally and got out of his car. He slowly approached with his gun ready and stopped when he saw who the dealer was, growling before busting the guy and his buyer swiftly.

When Kai got both guys locked up in the police station he wrote out his report and walked out, heading back out on duty when the guy at the desk stopped him. "Oi! Kai! Apparently some chick is in your office!" He exclaimed and Kai gave him a look. "Sorry, Agent Kai, someone is in your office. Is that better?" And Kai rolled his eyes in annoyance before giving him a stare. "Detective Smith, Jonny. I am Detective Smith." He said before walking up the stairs to the second floor where his guest was waiting for him in his office.

In the office, Kai came face to face with Nya. "N-Nya?" He said in surprise and Nya grinned. "Kai! I have the greatest news!" She said in an excited, and very country accented, tone while grinning widely. "Wh-what is the news?" Kai asked as he sat back in his office chair, Nya taking one of the two seats in front of his desk. "I got excepted at NU!" She answered as his eyes widened. "I was wondering what you were doing in the city." He replied with a chuckle. "Congratulations on the accomplishment. Ninjago University is really hard to get into." He added with a prideful smile.

"I know! That's why I had to borrow Mr. Jim's truck to come out and tell you in person! I was also wounderig if my dear elder brother could help me with housing?" Kai laughed at that and shook his head. He'd been living in the city so long, he'd nearly forgotten what a redneck sounded like, but that was his family. A bunch a rednecks from out in the boondocks. Now he couldn't believe his sister was leaving the country life behind as well, though it could just be for college. He knew he didn't have any plans to go back. He quite prefered the fast paced city life for whatever reason. Didn't mean this redneck boy don't miss some good home brewed southern style sweat tea and fried chicken with a side of moonshine though.

"Sure, I actually have an extra room in my apartment that's unused so you can just move in. You can pay rent by keeping your grades up and making me some fried chicken every now and again." He replied to her and she grinned in excitement before launching herself over his desk to hug him. A gesture he gladly returned. He missed his little sister.

Later that night, Kai drove his truck to a night club and walked in, the bouncer tipping his hat at the officer. Kai then made his way to the office and knocked on the door. "Who is it?" Came a tired voice from the other side. "It's Kai." Replied the brunette male. "Come in." Sounded from the voice.

Kai walked in and grinned at the very tired looking Coleman Hence, owner of the most popular night club in Ninjago City and the head of one of the cities biggest drug dealing operations, only countered on that front by the Anacondrai Mafia.

"Sup, Cole." Kai said as he leaned against the wall. "What do you want?" Cole asked in annlyed tone that only made Kai chuckle. "I popped some dealer that works for that... Uh... What was his name again? Lenny? Leo? Leroy? Whatever his name is, I popped one of his guys that thought he could sell in your territory." He answered the tired looking business man. "Good." Cole replied and dug in his desk, pulling out a wad of cash. "As promised." He said as he handed the cop the cash. "Pleasure doing business with you My friend." Kai replied as he counted the bills, his former country accent coming out in his small laps of excitement.

Cole grinned at the slip and shook his head. "We do have a deal. You protect my men and handle those who don't know their place..." He started with a smirk. "And you pay me handsomely with money, free goods, and tips when I need 'em." Kai finished and the two chuckled.

"Gotta split." Kai suddenly said as he looked at the time. "What do ya mean?" Cole asked in confusion. "You usually hang around to enjoy yourself a bit afterwards." He added and Kai chuckled. "I gotta prep my place. My lil'sis is gonna stay with me when the school year starts in the fall." He answered and Cole nodded. "Got it."
