Kai walked into his apartment after work and immediately noticed Wu sitting in his living room. "To what do I owe this visit?" He asked as he walked into the kitchen to grab a cup of sweet tea. "To give you a proposition I believe you'll jump on." Wu answered calmly.

"And what is that?" Kai asked him while pouring a glass of water. "A team to help you find Misako and your sister." Wu responded and Kai raised a brow while coming out with the drinks. He handed Wu the glass of water and sat back in his old wooden rocking chair. "I'd give ya some tea, but you only like that asian crap. Not the actual good stuff." He said as he eased into the chair. "More like you only like that redneck crap and don't like the good stuff." Wu countered with a small smirk, both knowing it was all in good fun.

"Either way, how did you know about my sister? Did Cole tell you?" Kai asked as he sipped from his glass. "No, Lloyd." Wu answered and Kai's eyes widened. "Seriously? Are you how he knew to ask about my other life?" He questioned and Wu chuckled. "I may have clued him in on it. Look on the bright side though! Now you don't have to lie to him." Wu said and Kai rolled his eyes. "You're lucky he didn't straight up dump my ass over that shit!" Kai said in annoyance as he rubbed a hand down his face.

"And about this team. I already have one. The police. No one can find anything." Kai said while looking to Wu. "Yes, but the force wasn't hand picked by me. You know my judgment is trustworthy." Wu said after taking a sip of water.

"Who's on the team?" Kai asked in curiosity. "I obviously plan to recruit you and I've already added Cole, Zane, and a friend that has some much needed talents. This is a team that won't be limited by the law. People who can operate outside of the rules and regulations. What do you say?" Wu explained and Kai seemed to think.

"Alright. I'm in. Just get my sister and Misako back. Alright?" Kai lamented and Wu grinned. "With pleasure."

Wu then set his cup on the coffee table before walking towards the door. "One thing of note." Wu said as he paused with his hand on the door. "What is it?" Kai asked as he took their glasses to the sink. "You don't seem as stressed as I expected. Have you finally learned how to control that temper of yours?" Wu asked and Kai bit his lip with a blush, happy Wu couldn't see his face right now. "Uh... Sure!" He responded nervously.

Wu then backed up when he felt someone unlocking the door and smiled when he saw Lloyd walk through the door. "Uncle Wu?" Lloyd said as he noticed the man. "Lloyd! I'm in here!" Kai called out and Lloyd grinned as his eyes glinted.

Wu stayed quiet and watched his nephew skip into Kai's kitchen. He then frowned when things went quiet and slowly approached the kitchen. He pressed his lips together awkwardly when he saw Lloyd pinning Kai to the counter to kiss him.

When Lloyd started kissing down the side of Kai's neck Wu gained a knowing smirk. "Now I know why you aren't throwing any fits. My nephew must be keeping your... stress... under control huh? Much easier to control ones temper when someone releases you, huh?" Wu said with a chuckle and Kai blushed. "Uncle Wu!" Lloyd shouted at the man. "I'm leaving." Wu said and left with a smirk on his face.

Jay walked to the back entrance of Cole's club where he met up with Kai, Zane, and Lloyd. "Uh... Are you the other members?" Jay asked and they nodded. "Now just to see when Wu shows up." Zane said dryly.

"Come on in guuuuuys-" Cole said as he opened the back door, pausing when he saw Jay. "J-Jay... Uh... Welcome." He said nervously while mentally kicking himself. Since when did he care if Jay was around or not. Jay was just another target. A new name to add to his list of conquests. Right?

Jay smiled when he saw the black haired male. "Hey... Uh... It's nice to see ya Cole." Jay responded and Cole nodded in reply. Zane quirked a brow at the interaction and Kai looked between the two. "Jay, you and Cole know each other?" Kai asked the smaller male. "Yeah. We met in town." Jay answered him. "You know Cole?" Jay then asked and Kai nodded. "Yeah, I met him back in my Uni days." Kai answered.

"Either way, let's get inside guys. Wu is waiting in my office." Cole said and the others followed suit.

Once Cole got everyone in his office he sat back in his desk chair after locking the door and turning on the rooms soundproofing. Zane sat on one of the comfy chairs and pulled out his binder. Kai decided to lounge on the couch and Lloyd decided to lay ontop of Kai, using his chest as a pillow. Kai chuckled and wrapped his arms around Lloyd in response and the two shared a kiss.

Jay smiled at Kai & Lloyd's sweetness and sat on the loveseat. When Cole saw where Jay sat he got up and went over to sit beside him. Jay looked to Cole with a raised brow. "Uh..." Jay said and Cole shrugged. "What? I can sit where I want." Cole responded as he put an arm behind Jay on the back of the seat. Jay looked at the out stretched arm and rolled his eyes with a smile before letting himself lean into Cole, resting his head on Cole's shoulder and making the man smile widely, almost in a goofy manner, with a small blush.

Kai noticed the interaction and gave Cole this knowing smirk that made Cole roll his eyes as if he understood the wordless message Kai was sending him and denied it, making Kai chuckle like he didn't believe him.

Wu stood off to the side until they all settled down and walked over. "I have gathered you all here for a shared goal. Finding and protecting my sister-in-law and Kai's little sister, Nya. Each of you has a unique skill set that can help accomplish this goal." Wu started off as everyone turned their attention to him.

"Kai Smith, the best detective in the country and an expert with a gun who has connections inside the law due to his day job as a cop." Wu said while looking to Kai.

"Dr. Zane Julian, the best forensic anthropologist and biologist in the country. Honestly more so best medical doctor in the country. If it has to do with the human body he's your best opinion. Making the choice to operate as a back alley doctor gives him trust in the underworld and many connections as well. He also specializes in weaponry and has a keen eye." Wu went on while looking to Zane.

"Coleman Hence, owner of the best club in Ninjago City. He also runs the biggest drug trafficking gang in the country. With the amount of men under his control he has a mini army at his disposal." Wu continued and Jay looked to Cole in surprise. "Wait, what?" Jay asked and Cole bit his bottom lip nervously. "I'll explain later." He said and Jay scooted away a bit, making Cole's heart skip a painful beat.

"Jason Walker, a college student from abroad who has amazing tech skills. Here to study robotics, engineering, and other tech related topics. He has one of the hieghest IQ's in the world and is well known in the scientific journal for his amazing works in robotics which if I recall is his true love according to an invervew a few years back." Wu said while looking to Jay. "And don't judge Coleman to much. He as a good heart. Hear him out later." He added and Jay just simply gazed at Cole in hesitation.

"Last but not least, Lloyd Garmadon. Youngest member of the Garmadon family and with his skills in acrobatics he is capable of feats none of us are. There's also no way he's letting us look for his mother without him so no complaints." Wu finished and Kai chuckled as Lloyd pouted. "You guys so much cooler then me!" Lloyd whined and Kai kissed his forehead. "Don't worry babe, I think you're pretty awesome." Kai said and Lloyd smiled before cuddling into him again.

"The six of us will use our unique skills to bring them back home and take down whoever is behind all this." Wu then said and the boys all raised their fists in the air.

When everything was over, Cole let the others help themselves to his kitchenette while he lead Jay out to the balcony. "Look, I know finding out just who I am must have come as a shock and I understand if you don't want to me to contact you again." Cole said while leaning against the railing and looking out over the club. He couldn't figure out why he felt so scared right now. Since when did anyone have such an affect on him?

"I'm not sure really. I mean... I don't know what to think to be honest." Jay said as he placed his hands on the railing. "You're a criminal. I guess everyone here is really, but I came here expecting to keep my nose clean and go to school. Not get mixed up with your countries underground." Jay said and Cole sighed. "I know."

"Why do you even do this?" Jay asked and Cole looked to him. "To be honest? I kind of just fell into it really. You remember how I told you about my dad, right?" Cole said and Jay nodded, remembering the story. "Well, I was so desperate to avoid him that I often didn't even want to go home. I would sleep in alleys some nights because it was better then facing my dad at home. One night this guy offered me a deal. If I helped him sell drugs to the students in my school he'd let me keep a cut of the money to buy food with since my dad let me fend for myself. Until then I would beg my friends at school for bits of their lunch to eat." Cole explained and Jay drew in a breath.

"I was so desperate for food money that I agreed to the deal. Soon enough I was raising in the ranks and met the guy in charge. All I know is he preferred to go by Sensei Yang. He took me under his wing and trained me to take over his circuit for him since he didn't have any children of his own. He was a father to me really. He always made sure I had food in my stomach and I could always go to his place when I was scared to go home. He was more then just my boss to me. More then just the boss to his entire gang really. The gang was family. It wasn't loyalty through fear, it was loyalty through respect. True loyalty. Ya know? I would do anything for him." Cole continued to explain as Jay watched his expressions. Jay smiled as he saw the look in Cole's eye as he talked about his old savior.

"Yang eventually passed away though. Around the time I graduated highschool." Cole said as he frowned and Jay looked to him worriedly. "When he died, he passed the whole operation to me. I wasn't expecting this to become my life, but I don't regret it either. I run things with true loyalty to. Most of the members either migrate their way to us like I did or are born into it due their parents being members." Cole added with a shrug. "I would never abandon them. Not ever."

Jay then kissed his cheek. "I guess I can understand that." He said and Cole smiled. "You're to trusting Jay." He said with a chuckle. "More like I know you're not lying. It's a feeling." Jay replied and the two just smiled at each other for a bit before Cole placed a hand on the side of Jay's face, cupping it, while grabbing a hold of one of Jay's hands. Jay leaned into the touch and held his hand back with a soft smile and the two kissed.

Just want to clarify something. Jay and Cole are not actually a couple. Jay let's Cole take him out and they kiss & flirt and stuff, they are not committed to each other as of yet.

Jay is commited to Cole though and is well aware of his growing feelings for everyone's favorite earth ninja, but Cole is quite obviously still in denial of his true feelings and has never been in love before so this is all new to him.

Just wanted to clear that up in case anyone was confused.
