(Nya's POV)

I enjoyed feeling the wind go through my hair as I rode on Jay's dragon, holding onto Jay's waist as tight as I could. I like feeling this close to Jay, it makes me feel safe and warm, hopefully these feelings develop into something more, perhaps even a relationship? But that's not important right now, what's important is finding the last 2 Golden Weapons 

"Do either of you feel anything?" Sensei Wu asked me and Kai 

"Not right now Sensei" I responded to Sensei 

"Yeah I don't feel anything either" Kai said to Sensei 

"You both need to relax, close your eyes and concentrate on tapping into your elemental power, only then will your Golden Weapons reach out to you" Sensei Wu explained to us

Taking Sensei's words of wisdom me and Kai both closed our eyes, I began to relax myself and forget all about the worries I may have had. All I could see was black until suddenly visions started flashing before my eyes, I could see what looked to be an underwater temple, presumably where my Golden Weapon was being kept 

I gasped as I opened my eyes, pulling myself away from the visions as did Kai, we both caught our breath 

"So where are your Golden Weapons?" Sensei Wu asked us both 

"I can feel the fire burning, it's quite far away from here" Kai told Sensei 

"I'm pretty sure mine is just a little bit away from here, it's underwater so it was a little hard to tell" I said to Sensei who nodded 

"Then we'll search for your's first Nya, just point us in the direction and stop us when you feel the weapon reach out to you" Lloyd told me, I nodded and pointed east, then we were back to flying above the Ninjago ocean on elemental dragons  

"Stop! I feel something" I shouted out at the others, Jay, Cole and Zane immediately told their dragons to stop

"D-d-do you feel your G-Golden Weapon N-N-Nya?" Jay asked me looking over his shoulder

"Yes I do, it's right under us!" I told Jay and the others 

"How are you gonna get it Nya? It's underwater!" Kai asked me with worry and concern in his voice 

"Y-y-yeah, unless you're w-wearing scuba g-gear under your uh um n-n-ninja suit, it's gonna be impossible to g-g-get it!" Jay said to me 

"Nya will not be needing scuba wear Jay, for her elemental power will help her" Wu said to us all

"And how will that work Sensei?" Cole asked Wu

"Nya's elemental power is water, making it easier for her to swim underwater, and even be able to hold her breath for longer" Sensei explained to us 

"So that's how you won all those swimming contests when you were younger!" Kai said making me a little embarrassed, I forgot all about those contests I would do. I would really only do the contest if I knew I would win, I was never good at losing 

"Good luck with obtaining your Golden Weapon Nya" Zane said wishing me luck 

"Thanks Zane, oh Jay can you do me a favour please?" I asked Jay who suddenly became a lot more nervous 

"Oh uhhh m-me? O-okay" Jay stuttered out, I went ahead and untied my ponytail and handed Jay my hair band once again, he instantly blushed when he saw my hair down 

"Can you please hold on to this? I really don't want to get it wet" I asked Jay, he looked at me for a few moments, trying to find some words to say, but instead he just nodded. I smiled at him and let go of his waist, I carefully stood up on his dragon and dived right into the ocean below us, creating a small splash 

The ocean was beautiful, it was full of colourful fish and other various types of aquatic life. I continued to swim down until I reached the underwater temple, I placed both of my hands onto the large doors of the temple like I saw Zane do before. The cracks in the door were filled with water and the door creaked open, the temple was soon flooded with water as I was pushed in through the door by the ocean, once I was inside I heard the door slam shut behind me stopping more water from coming in. No turning back now 

Nya Smith. Welcome to the resting place of your Trident of Water. To obtain your Golden Weapon and unlock your true potential, you must complete 3 trials. You may now begin 

Wow the guys were right, the First Spinjtzu Master sure has a powerful voice, and they were definitely right about the 3 trials. Hope they aren't too long, otherwise the others will be waiting on their dragons for awhile. Putting aside my worries about the others just flying away, I began walking through the hallway of the temple, admiring all the water symbols on the walls and the beautiful architecture with all the white pillars and other decorative items. I reached the end of the hallway and saw a door waiting for me, I opened the door and stepped into a new room 

I closed the door behind me as I glanced around the room, the walls were practically made out of water! I was standing on one of the many pillars stopping me from falling into the deep waters below me, once I was finished looking around at my surroundings the First Spinjitzu Master's voice called out to me again 

You have entered your first trial, this trial will be about proving your worth and showing me you are a capable ninja and are worthy enough to wield a weapon of mass creation. You may now begin your first trial 

Just as the First Spinjtzu Master finished his sentence, 3 human like creatures shot out from the water and landed on the pillars and looked right at me. I could see they were creatures made entirely out of water, luckily they had no weapons so this should be a piece of cake!

The first water warrior lunged at me from their pillar, I easily moved to the side letting the warrior crash right into the door I walked in from, I picked the warrior up and tossed them right back down into the water. The second water warrior summoned a small ball of water and shot a stream of water right at me, it landed a direct hit and I was slammed into the door, I picked myself up and jumped from pillar to pillar until I reached the warrior, avoiding all their water blasts, I landed right behind them and kicked them down into the water like I did the last one. But I had no time to celebrate as the third warrior surprised me and managed to shoot me in the back with a blast of water, I went flying into one of the pillars smacking into it and almost falling into the water below, luckily being able to grab on to the edge just in time. Pulling myself up onto the pillar I looked at the warrior that had almost done me in, they stood there with water at the ready. I decided to try and use the water to my advantage, it is my elemental power after all, I concentrated as hard as I could, but for some reason I just couldn't use my powers. While I was trying to connect with the water the warrior had jumped into the air and was about to knock me clean off my pillar, using my ninja reflexes I barely dodged out of the way and grabbed the warrior's arm and threw them over my back right into the water. I took a moment to catch my breath, why didn't my powers work? Am I missing something? 

Well done Nya, you have finished your first trial. You are now welcome to pass through the next door and begin your second trial 

I ignored my previous thoughts and decided to continue my journey through the temple, stepping through the next door I found myself in a completely empty room with only weird drawings on the walls 

Welcome to your second trial, in this trial you must not use your ninja abilities, but your intelligence. If you get the puzzle incorrect, the room will quickly become flooded with your element, you may not be able to escape if this happens 

Cole never mentioned these trials being dangerous! I studied the weird drawings on the walls closer and they looked like if they were arranged correctly they would form some sort of symbol, but I didn't want to try find out what that symbol was. So taking the First Spinjtzu Master's words in a different way, I decided to use my intelligence to try and cheat the system and find away out of the room without worrying about failing the puzzle and possibly drowning

I started by climbing up the rocky like walls and examined the rough ceiling, the room looked like it was ripped right out of a cave, there was definitely no way I was getting out via the ceiling, especially since I left my spear behind with the others. I examined the walls for cracks and other ways I would escape and wasn't very lucky, there was a slight crack in one wall though. Unfortunately it was way too small for me to crawl through, and with no spear I couldn't make the crack any bigger. I gave up on the whole breaking down the walls idea and just looked for the door out, but another problem came up. There was no door, I looked over at the puzzle with dread, I HAD to try the puzzle to get out of here, and these drawings on the wall looked like nothing I've ever seen before!

I took a step back and looked at the drawings, trying very hard to make the symbol in my head. It took me a few minutes but I think I finally figured out what the symbol was supposed to be, so I stepped up to the drawings and began sliding them into different places. It was hard but my training came in handy, I stepped back to admire my work, it looked pretty good, and I'm positive that it's the right symbol! 

But suddenly I could feel something coming, I looked at where I felt the sudden attack coming from and my eyes widened. Water began shooting through the wall and quickly began to flood the room, how did I get the puzzle wrong?! I was sure it was right! I wasted no time in swimming up to the top of the room to stay alive, I looked down and was terrified. The water was rising quickly and my air supply began to run out, the only chance I had at survival was to dive back under and try the puzzle a second time, but what if I messed up again? It would most certainly be the end of me then! Now I wish I left the guys something more than just my spear and my hairband 

I took in a deep breath and dove down under the water, I looked at the puzzle again and was shocked. All of a sudden the drawings were all glowing blue under the water with a clear indication what the actual symbol was, I swam over to the wall where the drawings were and slowly but surely put them into the right order. I swam back to make sure it was actually correct and saw the symbol was a sort of phoenix, all of a sudden the water slowly began to drain out of the room. I began panting for air as I was finally able to breathe again

Good work Nya. You have passed your second trial. I now invite you to continue your journey through the temple and begin your third trial 

After the First Spinjitzu Master finished his sentence one of the walls suddenly faded away and a new path was opened up to me, I finished catching my breath and walked down the newly formed path to begin my third and final trial  

I stopped walking when I saw a bright and blinding golden light, I squinted and could make out a  sort of weapon creating the blinding light. Just as I was about to walk towards it I heard a loud roar come from behind me, this must be the dragon the others warned me about, if this is the same dragon that talked to Jay that way I am for sure going to rough them up! I looked behind me determined to beat this final trial, water began dropping down from the ceiling which soon formed a dragon which looked at me with it's dark red eyes

I have to admit the dragon looked beautiful, it had elements of maroon mixed in with it's main colour of aqua. The legs were all aqua with maroon claws, the wings were also all aqua with maroon ends, the tail started off in aqua and slowly changed to maroon as it approached the tip of the tail

"That old Sensei Wu must be out of his mind recruiting a little girl to be a ninja!" The dragon snapped at me, the dragon looked beautiful but it's words were far from beautiful 

"A girl like you couldn't even beat a peg legged snake!" The dragon growled at me 

"I could beat you with my eyes closed and my arms behind my back!" I snapped back at the dragon 

"Ooh you're a feisty one, who knew a girl could actually fight" The dragon said as it snaked around me 

"I'm more than just a girl!" I shouted at the dragon 

"Sure you are gorgeous" The dragon scoffed at me, making me furious 

"I'm a strong and independent woman!" I yelled at the dragon who finally began to back away startled 

Suddenly the dragon just evaporated into the air! I did it, I beat the dragon! The trials were finally over! 

Well done Nya, you have completed all three trials. You completed the first trial and proved you are worthy of wielding your Golden Weapon. You completed the puzzle and learned it is okay to fail, for failure is the greatest teacher. Finally, you confronted your inner feelings about what people think of you. Now you may step forwards and claim your Trident of Water and unlock your true potential

I did as the First  Spinjtzu Master told me to do and stepped forward to claim my Golden Weapon, once the blinding golden light vanished I admired the weapon in front of me. It was a golden trident with beautiful engravings all across the handle, I reached out and grabbed the weapon. I immediately felt my body become 10 times stronger and could feel my elemental power surging  throughout my body, my body was practically turned to water as I suddenly shot up into the sky 

I blasted right up through the ocean and floated in the air until I summoned my elemental dragon, I swooped down on my dragon to join the others, startling them a bit once I pulled up right beside them 

"Hey guys, sorry for the long wait" I said to the others who all eased up 

"Boy am I glad you showed up when you did Nya, I definitely would've lost our little rock, paper scissors contest" Lloyd chuckled 

"Zane is just too hard to beat!" Cole exclaimed

"I am a nindroid after all, it is pretty easy to detect a pattern" Zane told us 

"H-hey umm N-N-Nya?" I heard a familiar voice say from behind me, I turned my head and saw a shy looking Jay 

"Uhhh h-here is your ummm h-h-hairband b-back" Jay stuttered out as he handed me back my hairband, I smiled at his adorable face as I took it from his hand and tied up my hair back into it's iconic ponytail 

"Well now that Nya has her weapon, it's finally time I get my Golden Weapon!" Kai interrupted eagerly 

"Yes Kai, it is time for you to get your Golden Weapon" Sensei Wu chuckled along with the rest of us 

"I can't wait to get my own elemental dragon! Then I won't have to cling onto Cole anymore!" Kai said making us all let out a laugh 

"You know I can just drop you right into the water below us right?" Cole jokingly said to Kai who immediately stopped talking, Kai absolutely hates water and wouldn't dare fall into it 

"So where to Kai?" Lloyd asked my brother who pointed south 

"South it is! Come on slowpokes!" I shouted out as my dragon raced ahead, once Kai gets his Golden Weapon we'll be coming for you Lord Garmadon!

Here's an early Christmas present for you all! I hope you all enjoyed this chapter as the next chapter will be the final chapter of the ninja hunting down the Golden Weapons, and after that who knows what will happen next.
