(Seliel's POV)

I looked at myself from head to toe in my bedroom mirror, since Cole invited me to a rock concert it was only right to dress the part. I decided to go with an outfit consisting of white boots that left me almost the same height as my boyfriend, black ripped jeans similar to Nya's but with some added chains, a red sleeveless shirt with a skull design along with the word metal written above it in Ninjargon, and I finished my outfit off with a few black wristbands on my arms 

After running a brush through my purple and blue hair, I quickly made sure I had everything for the date, slipping my phone into my pocket followed by a little bit of cash before I stepped out of my room and closed the dark wood door behind me

Hopefully I can rush out of the house before my father sees me, he totally wouldn't approve of my outfit, he always says that the daughter of a mayor should look presentable, and I don't think he means presentable for a rock concert. My feet raced down the wooden stairs with loud stomping noises until I reached the front door, reaching a hand out to twist the doorknob, only to be stopped by the very voice I wanted to avoid 

"Seliel? What's the meaning of all that ruckus? Come in here please" The voice of my father came from his office

With a defeated sigh I walked away from the door and slowly headed into my father's round office, standing in front of his clean wooden desk "Please refrain from roughly running down the stairs like that Seliel, Greg just got done cleaning them" He made sure to scold me before looking up from whatever document he was signing, an immediate look of disapproval appearing on his moustached face as he looked at what I was wearing 

"What in the name of the First Spinjitzu Master are you wearing?" My father questioned in a harsh tone, placing his reading glasses onto the wooden desk "Ugh I already told you, I have a date with my boyfriend today" I crossed my arms with a groan 

"Dressed like that? I don't think so" My brown haired father shook his head "The daughter of a mayor should look presentable" Ugh, there he goes saying that again "And you missy do not look very presentable in that wannabe rockstar outfit, I advise that you go and change" He finished berating me, returning to the papers on his desk 

Argh why is he always like this?! "Oh come on dad! It's not like I'm going to an opening ceremony for the town!" I complained "All I'm doing is going to a rock concert with my boyfriend, I'm meant to dress like this!" I tried to reason with my strict father  

My father sat still at his desk, stroking his brown moustache as he thought of a response "Hmm, I suppose I should let you be a rebellious teenager once in awhile" He told me with a small smile "Go on and have fun with that boyfriend of yours, please make sure you stay safe" My father finished speaking to me, burying his head back into his paperwork like usual 

"I will! Promise! Thank you!" I happily said to my dad before hurrying out of the door and leaving our moderately sized home in the middle of the town, beginning to make my way to the bus stop at the front of the small town, hopefully the bus to the city isn't running late

As I walked down the pebble path I admired all the hard work my father had put into making the town better, ever since my mother......passed away, he has buried himself in his work to make the town the best it can be, sort of a tribute to my mom. The two of them grew up in Nom and eventually fell in love with each other, so he really wants to make the town perfect 

Upon reaching the small bus stop outside of my hometown, I was met with the surprise appearance of my boyfriend himself waiting for me on the stop's wooden bench "Cole? What are you doing here?" I asked the black haired teen surprised, but also with a huge smile on my face 

Cole stood up from the bench and happily wrapped his muscular arms around me in a tight hug that I gladly embraced "I know we agreed to meet up in the city but I just couldn't help myself, I want to make sure I spend as much time with you as I can" My boyfriend told me with a grin, making my heart flutter 

"Well I'm looking forward to cherishing every moment too" I gave Cole a wink along with a small kiss on the cheek, we pulled apart right as our bus to the city pulled up at the stop 

Cole hurried in front of me and boarded the white bus, turning around and presenting his right hand to me "Your carriage awaits you m'lady" He told me with a bow as if I were a princess, making me chuckle as I grabbed his hand and joined him on the bus. Our hands remained intertwined as the two of us found a seat and enjoyed a scenic ride to the city, with Cole talking about how excited he was to see one of his favourite bands perform live 

"Wow, reconstruction in this city is fast" I said as the two of us walked down the city streets, everything looked basically brand new despite the Devourer destroying everything just a few days ago "It sure does" Cole agreed as he admired the tall buildings around us "The concert is being held in the park at Severin Street, it shouldn't be too far now" He excitedly said 

Soon enough we arrived outside the park and joined a line to enter, thankfully the line didn't take too long to move and before we knew it Cole was presenting our two tickets to the security and we were let into the park, getting a full view of the concert venue 

All around the green grass of the park were many different food stands and trucks, along with stands full of merchandise for the band performing, you certainly wouldn't get anything like this in Nom. The park was crowded with what felt like thousands of fans, guess this band is pretty popular "Here, take my hand" Cole told me, presenting his hand to me which I gladly accepted and followed him as we snaked our way through the many other attendees 

After weaving our way through a crowd of sweaty fans for what felt like an eternity Cole and I finally reached the sunlight and were greeted with a front row look at the concert stage, it was still being set up with speakers being placed onto the stage along with some technicians making sure that everything was working

"Looks like we're a bit early" Cole smiled at me "Wanna grab a bite to eat?" He asked me "Sure!" I happily agreed, the smell of all those different foods are really making me hungry, and I'm sure Cole was hungry too by the way his mouth was drooling at the sight of all the food stands 

We went stand to stand and picked out something to eat, with Cole choosing something from every stand while I was content with a hot noodle dog and sushi taco, the two of us found some seating and enjoyed our meals in peace, well it would have been peace if Cole wasn't hungrily shoving his food into his mouth, creating a lot of crunching noises. Somehow he managed to finish his feast before I got done eating my hot noodle dog 

As I finished eating my sushi taco, the many speakers scattered around the park emitted a loud shriek before a voice boomed through them "Attention to all concert attendees, the concert will be beginning soon, now is the time for you to make your way to the stage" 

"Alright! This is gonna be awesome!" Cole sprang out of his chair as if he didn't just eat an entire family meal worth of food, quickly grabbing my hand and pulling me along with him as he hurried towards the large stage in the middle of the park "Ah! Cole slow down!" I yelped as I almost fell over multiple times on our way to the large stage 

Upon reaching the stage and becoming surrounded by all the other fans, the lights above the black platform lit up, illuminating the stage in a red light as the speakers came to life "Ladies and gentlemen! It is time for the show to begin! Put your hands together for the pop-rock band sensation sweeping the nation, The Fold!" 

Thunderous applause erupted from the audience as four platforms rose up from the stage, a band member standing on each one along with whatever instrument they played "HELLO NINJAGO CITY!" A band member with black spiky hair wearing a red shirt shouted into his microphone, I guess this guy must be the main singer "ARE YOU ALL READY TO ROCK?!" He yelled, pointing the microphone to us with Cole and the rest of the audience cheering loudly "THEN IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S TIME TO ROCK AND ROLL!" 

The black haired band member looked behind him to the other members and with a nod of his head the three of them started to play their instruments, with the lead singer joining them as he grabbed a nearby electric guitar "It's time for training and we're getting started" The lead member began to sing 

"You're in for a real treat Seliel!" Cole shouted over the sounds of the audience "This is like their best song!" He told me excitedly, getting pumped up along with the other members of the audience, I would be lying if I said I wasn't getting pumped up too 

"It's on, you know
and we wanna see you whip and shout it
we rock,
you roll"

The audience around us sang along with the words being sung by the lead member with Cole of course joining them, urging me to join in too despite me not knowing a single word to the song 

"They say, go slow
and everything just stands so still
we say, go go!
We're ready for the fight, we know the drill
Monday morning and we feel defeated,
seems so long ago"

I might not know the lyrics but I sure can relate to that one 

"Tuesday's comin'
we just keep on beatin
'til we're in our zone

we say, go go!"

The band members built up a beat that got Cole and everybody else around us hyped up and looking ready to explode with energy 

"You're gonna see us rip into it,
just jump up kick back whip around and spin!
And then we jump back, do it again
Ninja-Go!"

Just like I thought Cole and the rest of the audience exploded with energy, jumping up and down while singing the tune of the song, with Cole continuing his efforts to get me to join in which I decided to do, as the song was actually pretty good 

"Ninja, come on, come on, come on
we're gonna do it again,
we just jump up kick back whip around and spin!
And then we jump back, do it again
Ninja-Go!
Ninja, come on, come on, come on
and do the weekend whip yeah!"

Not the biggest fan of the Ninja part but Cole is right, this has got to be their best song! Cole and I danced side by side to the beat of the song, our eyes connecting with it feeling like it was just the two of us with large grins on our faces rocking out together, our heads banging to the awesome song being played

jump up kick back do it again and spin!"

The song eventually came to an end, with us all erupting into loud cheers for the band, with each member graciously accepting our praise with a bow "Thank you! Thank you!" The lead singer spoke into his microphone "That was just our warm up! Now it's time to really kick it up a notch!" 

That was their warm up? Now I'm really looking forward to what they play next! The lead singer placed his microphone back onto its stand and gave the other band members behind him a signal to start playing a beat very different from the previous song

Song after song Cole and I continued to rock out together, jumping up and down as our hair wildly moved with us, the both of us having large smiles as we happily laughed together, the electric atmosphere of the concert giving us more and more energy to continue our rocking out 

Unfortunately our intense rocking out had to come to an end as the band soon finished playing their final song, they sure did sing a lot about Ninjas, must be huge fans of the Secret Ninja Force I suppose "THANK YOU NINJAGO CITY!" The lead band member yelled into his microphone as the platforms they were standing on began to descend back into the stage, everyone cheering for them as the four band members disappeared from sight

"So what did you think?" Cole turned to me with a smirk, already knowing my answer "That was awesome!" I replied as the two of us joined the rest of the audience in leaving the park "How come you never told me about them before?!" 

"Eh, I didn't think they would be your style" Cole shrugged his shoulders, resting his hands on top of his black shaggy hair "They are now!" I joyfully told my boyfriend "Ooh! Ooh! When is their next concert?! Can we go!?" I excitedly asked Cole as I latched onto his arm

Cole chuckled "Sorry Seliel, but I don't think they'll be back in Ninjago City for awhile, their next show is at some place called Shintaro or something, after that I think they're taking a break" He told me "Oh great! I get interested in a band and then they go on break!" I pouted in disappointment, with Cole just laughing at my sorrow 

The two of us walked down the newly repaired city streets and took in the pretty sight of the city lit up in the dark, all of the neon signs lighting our way to the bus stop we sat down at for a few minutes, of course talking all about my new obsession. Soon our bus arrived and we quickly found a set, sharing a pair of earphones and listening to some more rock music from The Fold as the bus drove pass the bright city and towards Nom, keeping myself warm by snuggling up to Cole and resting my head on his shoulder 

And so with Seliel now being hooked on The Fold, this chapter of Ninja Life comes to a close. Will Cole and Seliel get to see The Fold perform live again? Did The Fold give me permission to feature them in this chapter?! Am I going to be sued!? 

Hopefully that last question gets proven false, I don't think I can handle another lawsuit.....

I guess we'll just have to wait and see until next year as this will most likely be the final Ninja Life chapter of 2022, thank you all for continuing to read and support this story and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy holidays and a happy New Year and a happy Easter along with a happy birthday!
