(Jay's POV)

"So what do you think Master Wu is gonna say when he sees what Garmadon did to the Bounty? You think he'll lose it?" Kai asked while leaning against the railing of the ship, of course taking the time to snap a selfie of himself high above the city "I don't think my uncle is gonna go crazy all just because my father painted his ship a different colour" Lloyd said to Kai with a slight smirk as he and Harumi enjoyed the breeze on the Bounty's deck

"I feel like we should be less concerned about what Master Wu thinks about the condition of the Bounty and more concerned with the condition those pirates left the city in" Nya spoke from her position steering the ship towards the warehouse, making it sure that no news helicopters were able to follow the Destiny's Bounty

After hearing Nya say that I had to somewhat ignore my fear of heights for a moment as I very carefully peered over the side of the ship, taking in the sight of a pretty damaged Ninjago City below, thankfully it was nowhere near as bad as when the Great Devourer attacked but I can only imagine how upset the mayor is about how much money it'll take to fix everything. Thank the First Spinjitzu Master there's no way she can bill us for all of the destruction this city sees every month.........can she?

I turned around from the destruction below us and couldn't help but share some of my thoughts with the other Ninja "Ummm g-guys? I-I can't help b-b-but feel terrible a-about all of the destruction d-d-down there, I feel l-l-like we should r-really do something t-to try and help fix it a-a-all" I told the rest of the Ninja who seemed to listen attentively, nodding along with what I was saying

"It does feel pretty bad to just look at the city being destroyed and not really do anything about fixing it" Skylor agreed to what I had just said "It is certainly a very good thought Jay, what would you perhaps recommend we do in order to help aid in the reconstruction of Ninjago City?" Zane asked me with a curious tone, making me incredibly nervous as I was suddenly put on the spot with everyone's eyes looking at me, especially Nya's beautiful eyes

I gulped nervously before attempting to voice my thoughts to the other Ninja "Uhhh umm well h-h-how a-about some uhhh k-kind of c-c-charity e-event? We c-could umm do something t-to help raise m-m-money for f-fixing the city?" I anxiously suggested, looking at my feet while fidgeting with my gloved hands as I spoke. Tilting my head up to see the reaction of the other Ninja I was greeted with all positive faces, especially Zane with his sometimes unsettling large smile

"Hmm, not a bad idea" Harumi commented "But what sort of charity event would we be doing? If it has anything to do with just picking up disgusting trash you can count me out" The white haired girl scoffed in disgust with crossed arms, clearly not willing to do any kind of physical labour. "I don't mind helping with any kind of heavy lifting, it'll give me a great chance to show off my latest gains" Cole was the exact opposite of Harumi, flexing his two muscular arms to show us what he was talking about

"Maybe Jay, Zane and I could run a vehicle fixing service for charity, surely after everything Soto and his crew did a lot of people need their cars and other vehicles fixed and the three of us are more than capable" Nya suggested an idea that immediately made my heart and mind race with possibilities, Nya and I spending time together fixing stuff? That would be the best thing ever! But knowing me I would be too nervous to even ask her to pass me the wrench......at least Zane would be there to fill in the awkward silence

Zane agreed with Nya's idea before turning his head towards me "What do you think about Nya's proposal Jay? I believe it is quite an excellent idea" The Nindroid asked me, like before I could feel everyone's attention on me, especially feeling the watching gaze of Nya who I couldn't bring myself to look at while answering Zane's question "Uhhh y-y-yeah it ummm t-t-totally sounds like a t-truly awesome idea!" I loudly blurted out, silently cringing to myself over the usage of the words 'truly awesome'

Thankfully none of the other Ninja seemed to care much about my embarrassing choice of words as they were too busy rattling off their own ideas for charity events, some of them sounding pretty good but there were a few that I didn't quite think would work, but I didn't want to crush any of Kai's dreams so I decided to stay quiet as usual. Remaining quiet for the rest of the journey to the warehouse which I could see we were getting closer to reaching, being able to see all the colourful shipping containers and the large grey building we call a secret base

Nya decreased the speed of the ship and carefully flew it down towards the wooden dock in front of the warehouse, disengaging flight mode as she perfectly landed the Bounty into the water followed by a large splash "We have now reached our destination, thank you for flying with Nya airlines today" Nya announced as if she had just landed a plane, making me let out a small chuckle as we all got off the Bounty and onto the wooden dock

The eight of us made our way towards the warehouse, and just as we had reached the large building the two massive doors slid open, revealing the cluttered interior of our secret base along with the person actually reasonable for the secret base "Greetings my students, I must congratulate you all on your victory over a certainly very interesting group of enemies" Master Wu said to us, sounding somewhat confused

"Thank you Master" Lloyd thanked his elderly uncle with a respectful bow "And you'll be glad to know that we haven't arrived empty handed" The blonde teen told our teacher who looked at the Green Ninja with a raised eyebrow "Oh? What is it that you have brought to me?" He asked curiously

"Why don't you just come and see for yourself" Lloyd told his uncle with a slight smirk, beginning to walk towards where Nya had docked the Bounty, Master Wu looked at us with a questioning gaze before following Lloyd as the rest of us followed behind him, all eager to see what his reaction would be to getting the Bounty back

Lloyd proudly stood in front of the reclaimed Destiny's Bounty as Master Wu was able to see that his beloved ship had finally been returned to him "Surprise! We managed to get the Bounty back from my father and the Serpentine!" Lloyd happily told our wise teacher, we all looked at Master Wu with smiles on our faces expecting to see the same from him, but our smiles quickly turned to confused faces once we saw Master Wu's angry expression under his conical hat

"MY SHIP!!!!" Echoed throughout the entire docks as Master Wu yelled at the top of his lungs, I couldn't help but jump behind Zane at the extremely loud noise, I bet my parents over at the junkyard even heard him yell. It looked like Cole's headphones came in handy as he and Zane were the only ones not clutching their ears in pain "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SHIP!?" Master Wu continued to shout at a noise level that would have surely shattered glass, making us all clutch our ears in pain once again

"I take it you don't like the new look?" Lloyd groaned as he held his ears in pain, looking like he was about to fall over. Master Wu cleared his throat before thankfully lowering his voice to the usual volume "I apologise for the loudness my students, I rarely let my emotions take control over me like that" He gave us an apology which didn't really help get rid of the ringing in our ears "Uhhh d-don't worry about it M-M-Master, it's t-totally fine" I stuttered from behind Zane, hoping he wouldn't become angrier as right now I was feeling terrified of our teacher

"The Destiny's Bounty means a lot to me and to see what my brother has turned it into fills me with the most rage I have ever felt in my extremely long life, needless to say I will certainly have more than just words to share with that brother of mine when we next meet" Master Wu spoke to us in a softer voice as he took in the sight of his once proud ship, now the colours of Lord Garmadon "Well we can always help you repaint it and make it look like it used to" Skylor offered our help to the old man

Master Wu turned to the red head with a much nicer expression than before, giving the Orange Ninja a thankful nod "That would be greatly appreciated if the eight of you could help me restore the Destiny's Bounty back to its proper appearance" Master Wu told us, one second he's the most terrifying man in all of Ninjago and the next he's the nicest

"Uh sorry Master, but we might need to help you out another time" Cole spoke up, gesturing towards the time on his phone "We've been gone for a pretty long time and I think Seliel might start getting worried" The Earth Ninja reminded us, causing us all to enter a state of panic

"Super sorry about this Master I promise we'll help you when we get back!" Lloyd blurted out before beginning to rush to the school building as fast as he could, with the rest of us following behind him at an intense speed "I will remember that promise!" We could just barely hear Master Wu's voice shouting after us as we scaled the many shipping containers and set our sights on making it back before Seliel or anyone else began to question where we've been all this time

The school hallway was filled with the sounds of the eight of us heavily panting as we stumbled towards Mr. Saunders' classroom, all of our legs feeling so extremely worn out, except for Zane's Nindroid legs those were perfectly fine. Lloyd swung the wooden classroom door wide open, with us all thankful to see that Mr. Saunders and everybody else were too busy looking out the dusty windows to notice us enter the classroom, giving us a little bit of time to make ourselves look like we hadn't just ran across the entire city in five minutes to be here

Acting like we weren't all incredibly out of breath, we slowly walked over to join Seliel and everybody else in looking out the window, seeing how much damage Captain Soto and his crew had done. Of course with everyone panting and looking like we had ran a marathon Seliel immediately noticed us all, instantly giving the eight of us an extremely confused look "Where have you all been? And why do you all look so out of breath?" Seliel was quick to question, looking us all up and down

"Uhhh there was umm a very large line for the bathroom" Lloyd swiftly answered the suspicious Seliel, all of us hoping she would buy his excuse "And we just had to rush back to catch the action" Nya added onto Lloyd's lie, hoping to explain as to why we were all so sweaty and out of breath

"Well whatever you guys say I guess, just make sure to text next time if you guys end up taking longer, I was starting to get a little worried" Seliel thankfully dropped her questions and found herself wrapped around one of Cole's arms, with Mr. Saunders finally being able to get everyone away from the windows "Alright class the scary scary pirates are gone now, everyone may now return to their seats for the remainder of the class" The grey haired man ushered us all back to our wooden desks, everybody reluctantly taking their seats

Before Mr. Saunders could say another word however our ears were graced by the beloved sound of the school bell ringing, telling us that Mr. Saunders' class and the school day as a whole had finally reached its end, as usual everyone immediately stood up and bolted out of the door, several of the ancient relics displayed in the classroom almost being broken in the process. The other Ninja, Seliel and I left the classroom a little less hurriedly, mostly because our legs could barely handle walking

It took us all a while but the nine of us eventually reached the exit to the school and walked out into the natural sunlight, taking in as much as the somewhat fresh air as we could, hoping that our lungs would recover from our intense rush across the busy city. We bid our farewells to Seliel as she had to hurry for her bus to Nom, before shortly having to say goodbye to each other as we all had to go our separate ways, unfortunately helping Master Wu will have to wait until tomorrow as we're all just too tired. Except for Zane, but I suppose even a Nindroid would need to recharge after what we did

Usually I wouldn't have much of a problem getting home, but right now I'm feeling completely drained of all my energy and my legs feel extremely wobbly so the usual walk home isn't looking too favourable right now. So instead I took a minute to check some of the nearby bus routes to see if any would help, and sure enough a bus stop not too far from where I was had a bus that would bring me close enough to the junkyard, I summoned the last of my strength and began heading towards the bus stop, with the only thought on my mind being flopping onto my nice and fluffy bed

Thanks to the destruction from Soto and his jolly pirates the bus took a lot longer to reach my desired stop but I did it, I finally reached home, never before in my life have I ever been more happier to see the junkyard and our trailer home. Walking across the sand I reached the entrance to the trailer home and opened it slowly, hoping my parents wouldn't notice me coming home at such a late time "Jay sweetheart is that you?" I could hear the voice of my mom call out from the kitchen, so much for all those Ninja skills Master Wu taught us......

"Y-Y-Yes Mom" I stuttered out as I entered the trailer home, walking into the living room area to find my dad relaxing on the couch in his usual brown apron "Well now there you are son, how was school today?" My dad asked with a kind smile on his face, a little bit of oil present on his dark tan shirt "I-I-It uhhh w-was fine, n-nothing too ummm s-s-special like always" I told him with a weak smile, just wanting to get to bed

Before I could sneak away to my bedroom however a pair of arms were quickly wrapped around me as my mom had joined us in the living room, almost crushing my lungs with how hard she was hugging me "Oh Jay I'm so glad you're okay dearie, we saw those horrid pirates on the TV and were worried you had gotten hurt as you hadn't called" My mom said to me in a relieved tone, but not as relieved as me once she finally let me go

"Oh ummm s-s-sorry, my uhhh p-phone ran out o-o-of battery" I quickly made up, feeling like I myself had run out of battery "Good thing we have those Secret Ninja Force people out there helping us" My grey haired dad pointed out, filling me with a little bit of pride, even if I sort of cowered behind Cole at times "Uhh y-yeah, g-g-go Secret N-Ninja Force!" I gave an awkward chant of support to my own team

"You must be so hungry, let me go and heat up your dinner" My mom told me as she headed into the small kitchen area, unwrapping what looked like lasagna "S-Sorry Mom, but I'm feeling really t-t-tired so I think I'm j-just gonna head to b-bed now, is that o-okay?" I asked, not wanting to be rude as I had already upset the poor woman enough today "Well okay dearie, I'm sure you've had a long day, but please at least take a little bit of food with you" She gently said whilst handing me a small piece of reheated lasagna on a paper plate

I won't lie the lasagna was certainly smelling tempting, perhaps a small bite before bed wasn't such a bad idea "T-Thanks Mom, goodnight y-y-you two" I wished the both of my parents a goodnight before taking the lasagna with me as I entered my small room, immediately tucking into the small portion of lasagna as I hadn't eaten anything in a long while

Now with a slightly fuller belly, I wasted no time in changing into my slightly embarrassing Starfarer themed pyjamas I got last year and throwing myself onto my blue coloured bed, almost knocking poor Mister Cuddlywomp onto the floor. I opened the Secret Ninja Force group chat to spend a little bit of time texting the other Ninja before I finally let myself succumb to the tiredness I had been feeling, my eyelids became heavy and I was soon fast asleep

And so with everyone's favourite Blue Ninja snuggling his childhood plushie this chapter of Ninja Life has right about met its end, now I feel like I could go for some lasagna.

Will the Ninja actually help Master Wu in restoring the Destiny's Bounty? What kind of charity event will the Ninja choose to do?! And will Edna ever make another lasagna throughout the rest of the Ninja Life story!? Well as usual you'll just have to wait an unreasonable amount of time for the next chapter of the story to possibly find out the answers
