(Kai's POV)

"How long are these Serpentine going to be flying?!" I complained while lying down on the Destiny's Bounty wooden deck "It feels like we've been following them for hours!"

"If you wish to know how long we have been following their Rattlecopters then the answer to your question would have to be exactly 5 hours, 25 minutes and 12 seconds" Zane turned around and answered me, I groaned in frustration at how long we've been after these snakes!

"Why don't you just relax Kai?" Skylor asked while she walked over to me

"I can't exactly relax with all of this water around" I told my girlfriend as I begun to stand up 

"Why? Isn't it relaxing being on the water?" Skylor asked as she took hold of my hand, a slightly worried expression on her beautiful face. Letting out a nervous chuckle I knew it was time to tell her my greatest fear 

"Well you see" I scratched the back of my head, getting embarrassed "I'm very afraid of water"

My confession was met with quite a few chuckles and giggles, making me really earn my red Ninja rank

"I-Ironic that the F-Fire Ninja is afraid of w-w-water!" Jay laughed loudly, but a quick fiery glare from me snapped him out of his laughing and immediately sent him behind Lloyd 

"Well don't you worry hothead, with me at your side you'll forget all about your fear of water" Sky pecked me on the cheek, which really helped me forget about the whole water fear fiasco

"Ugh, you two are so gross" Nya puffed with her arms crossed and her back turned to me and Sky 

More laughs were let out at Nya's childish behaviour and Sensei soon joined us on the deck, he gave us a confused look before stroking his iconic white beard 

"It seems to be getting a little late" Sensei told us, looking at how dark it had become "I have sent Zane to the kitchen to prepare a meal for us, in the meantime I want you all to head into the ship and prepare for bed"

"Bed!?" Cole shouted out, jumping off the crate he was jamming out on "But Sensei we have to follow the Serpentine!"

"Do not worry Cole, we will continue to follow them" Sensei calmly told Cole "I will continue to sail the ship whilst you all rest"

"But don't you need rest too Sensei?" Harumi asked the old man, who chuckled at her question 

"As long as I have my tea I will be perfectly fine" Sensei replied to the white haired girl, quickly revealing a small wooden table with plenty of tea out of thin air, he sure does love his tea 

All of us looked at each other with the same thought before shrugging our shoulders and making our way into the ship, which was filled with the scent of Zane's cooking, a very welcomed scent after having to deal with Cole's cooking last week. Jay was unusually quiet that day

We took turns getting dressed in the small bathroom aboard the Destiny's Bounty. Once we were all changed into our colourful pyjamas with our symbols sewed on to the right chest pocket Zane presented us with our meal he prepared, which looked absolutely amazing! 

"Zane this food looks delicious!" Lloyd complimented the chef while we all sat down at the small dining table  

"Thank you very much Lloyd" Zane brightly smiled towards the green pyjama teen before joining us at the dining table

"T-T-This is way b-better than C-Cole's cooking!" Jay happily munched on Zane's fantastic meal, glad his mouth wasn't glued shut 

"Hey!" Cole shouted towards the eating blue pyjama Ninja "I didn't hear you complain when I asked if anyone had any problems with the food I made"

"T-That's because my m-mouth was g-glued shut!" Jay shouted back at Cole, making the water Ninja beside him giggle 

"Alright you two let's leave the arguments for after dinner" Skylor tried to calm down the two Ninja

"Yeah, we don't exactly need a food fight happening right now" I spoke to the freckled and shaggy haired Ninja 

"Although a food fight does sound pretty fun....." Harumi mischievously smiled, picking up a bowl of dumplings ready for throwing 

"Put it down Harumi" Nya looked at the mischievous Ninja with a slight chuckle "As much as I would love to see my brother's hair decorated with various kinds of food, I would prefer to eat this meal Zane has made for us"

"Yeah, Nya's ri- WAIT WHAT?!" I gasped at my sister's comment towards my beautiful spiky brown hair, perhaps Harumi was right about a food fight.....

"Okay okay let's all just drop this food fight conversation" Lloyd interrupted my thoughts of throwing a bowl of noodles towards Nya "Sensei wouldn't exactly approve of us doing something like that"

We all nodded in agreement, the last thing we want to do on this trip is make Sensei mad at us. So for the remainder of our dinner nobody began any fights, it was quiet with only a few conversations being shared here and there

After Cole finally finished his 10th bowl of ramen and dumplings, all of us lent a hand in helping Zane clean everything up. Once every dish was cleaned and the table was no longer covered in Cole's drool we spent some time in the bathroom getting ready for our sleep on the Bounty. I brushed my teeth and made sure my hair was looking extra good before exiting the small bathroom 

Walking down the wooden hallway of the ship brought me to the door of the shared sleeping quarters, I am not looking forward to Cole's snoring tonight. I slowly and quietly opened up the door to the shared sleeping quarters, my head peaked in to see if any of the other Ninja were asleep and my eyes saw all of them awake, except for a loudly snoring Cole and quietly sleeping Jay  

Carefully closing the brown door behind me I stepped in and joined the others in the sleeping chambers, making sure I didn't wake the snoring rock and pillow hugging nerd. Looking at what beds weren't already occupied my eyes were caught by a nice looking red bed, which was the bottom bunk of the previously mentioned snoring rock. Letting out a tired sigh I laid myself down onto the comfy red bed before Lloyd switched off the lights and slumber soon consumed me 

Sleeping on the Bounty wasn't exactly ideal, whether that be because of the uneasy waves or the impossible to sleep through snores of the Earth Ninja. Thankfully Zane brought along some ear plugs for some odd reason so we were all able to get to sleep even with Cole's impressively loud snores. Surprisingly Jay was able to sleep without the use of Zane's ear plugs, despite him being startled by every noise imaginable he is probably the deepest sleeper I know, followed by the log that slept above me 

Once I had let out a yawn and stretched my arms out, I carefully stood up from my bed, making sure not to bump my head on the top bunk

"Good morning Kai, I do hope the ear plugs helped you sleep" Zane smiled at me, leaving his charging port 

"They really helped out Zane, thanks" I returned the smile while I handed him the ear plugs back 

"Yeah Zane, these things did wonders!" Harumi told Zane "There was no way we would have gotten any sleep with Cole's noises"

"Well Jay managed to" Skylor spoke up, directing our attention towards the peacefully sleeping Jay, who had half his bottom half on the bed while his poor top half was sprawled across the wooden floor 

"So who's going to wake him up?" A tired Cole suddenly cut into the conversation, rubbing his eyes as he jumped from the top bunk and onto the sleeping quarters floor with a loud thud

"Ooh Ooh I want to try!" Harumi energetically hopped up and down with her right arm raised 

Lloyd chuckled at his girlfriend's childish and mischievous behaviour before giving her the nod of approval. Harumi quickly reached for Jay's pillow and raised it high above her head, with a swift woosh the blue pillow came down fast and smacked Jay right in the face, and of course Jay was still sound asleep 

"Huh, I really thought that would work" Harumi scratched her head in confusion, maybe we'll have to upgrade to using Cole as the pillow 

"Do we really have to wake him?" Nya asked us "We should just let him sleep, he looks peaceful"

"Giving your boyfriend special treatment huh?" Skylor teased the bright red Nya 

"N-No!" Nya crossed her arms in embarrassment "I'll wake him up myself!"

The black haired Water Ninja paced over towards the peacefully sleeping messy haired teen, she quietly bent over so she could talk into Jay's ear 

"Jay" Nya whispered into his ear "It's time to wake up"

As soon as Nya finished her little whisper in the Blue Ninja's ear the auburn haired teen slowly began to awaken, much to our surprise

"Huh? W-What time is i-it?" Jay asked as he scratched his head

"Time for you to wake up" Nya smiled at the confused Ninja before leaving us all behind in the sleeping quarters, just as confused as Jay was 

"Alright sleepyhead let's get you ready for the day" Cole laughed as he helped Jay onto his feet

"Ugh why does my head hurt so much?" Jay groaned with a hand on his head as Cole led him out of the room, Harumi let out a chuckle before joining us in leaving the sleeping quarters 

"Ah good morning students" Sensei Wu stepped into the kitchen, with a hot cup of tea in his hand as usual 

"Did you sail all night Sensei?" Lloyd asked his Uncle with a yawn and a stretch  

"Of course I did Lloyd" Sensei replied to his Nephew, not a sight of tiredness was on the old's man face "I had to make sure we did not lose those Serpentine"

"B-B-But how did you s-s-stay awake a-all night?!" Jay asked the calm white bearded Sensei 

"With my tea of course" Sensei smiled towards Jay "Something it seems you may need some of" Sensei chuckled at Jay's tired form and confused state 

"So did you catch up to them Sensei?" I asked our Sensei as I swallowed a portion of my wonderful breakfast, cooked by Zane of course 

"Yes I did Kai, the Bounty is currently docked right in front of where the Serpentine were flying off to" Sensei informed us all, taking a quick sip of his tea 

"Has Pythor and the other Serpentine managed to retrieve the third Fang Blade yet Sensei?" Zane asked Sensei as he put away some freshly cleaned bowls 

"I do not believe they have Zane" Sensei told the pink apron wearing Nindroid "They have yet to emerge from the Fang Blade's location with it in hand"

"Then let's beat em to it!" I jumped out of my seat at the table with a fist in the air, I'm really getting pumped up about this! 

Everyone else at the table nodded in agreement and we ran onto the deck of the bounty while spinning around in our bright and colourful Spinjitzu tornadoes, getting changed out of our bright and colourful pyjamas, into our also bright and colourful Ninja attires 

Once we were all on the deck of the Bounty and were no longer spinning around, I took a moment to look around to see where this little voyage had taken us, and what I saw was very familiar. The Bounty was docked right in front of the giant volcano the Fire Temple was on! Well where the Fire Temple used to be, before I burnt it down trying to get my Sword of Fire....

"H-Hey isn't t-this the place w-w-where Kai got his G-Golden Weapon?" Jay asked our Sensei who nodded in response 

"But Sensei I never saw a Fang Blade in the Fire Temple" I stated to the old man in white 

"Perhaps the Fang Blade is underneath where the Fire Temple used to stand?" Zane brought up 

"And the only way to find out is to climb up to the top and start digging!" Harumi excitedly said to us before jumping off the Bounty and landing on the small wooden pier at the foot of the large rocky creation 

Joining the excited Harumi on the wooden pier we all looked up at how high up we would have to climb to reach the old resting place of the Fire Temple, I really do not remember it being like this to get to the Fire Temple! Did I burn down the stairs to the top two?!

"Alright then, let us get to climbing" Sensei said casually before putting his staff securely onto his back and easily beginning to scale the volcano in front of us 

All of us at the bottom shared a look of pure shock as the old man quickly climbed his way up the wall in front of us, I guess you really can do anything with a good cup of tea. Shaking my head and getting into the zone for climbing I was about to step forward and follow in Sensei's footsteps before a hand on my shoulder stopped me. Turning around to see who the hand belonged to made me face to face with a slightly annoyed Skylor 

"Um hey Sky? Is something bothering you?" I worriedly asked my red headed girlfriend who just crossed her arms and pouted at me

"A true gentleman wouldn't allow his girlfriend to climb all the way up a volcano like that" She turned away from me with her arms still crossed

With a slight grown I turned around and bent over to allow Skylor to ride on my back as I climbed up to the top, she immediately dropped her annoyed act and happily jumped onto my back and wrapped her arms around me

"Ooh Ooh I want to ride on your back too Lloyd!" Harumi pleaded with her green eyed boyfriend, giving him her best puppy dog eyes which Lloyd couldn't refuse 

I shot Lloyd a sorry glance as Harumi hopped onto his back and wrapped her arms around him just like Skylor did to me

"I-I-I'm sorry guys, b-but there is no w-way I'm c-climbing all the way u-up there!" Jay rubbed his right arm nervously while looking down

"Well I'm not carrying you up too" I chuckled with Skylor holding onto me tightly 

"And neither am I" Lloyd chuckled along with me 

"Y'know i-i-it's probably b-best if I uhhh just s-stay here with the ummmm B-B-Bounty" The stuttering Ninja nervously smiled at us, he quickly spun around and tried to walk back onto the Bounty but was stopped by a hand on his slightly shaking shoulder 

"Come on Jay! You can't turn back now!" Nya tried to convince the nervous teen, her gloved hand on his shoulder 

"I-I-I don't know N-Nya" Jay frowned, looking away from the Water Ninja "I'm not r-really the best w-with heights"

Nya stood with her hand on the Blue Ninja's shoulder for a moment, thinking of a way to solve Jay's fear of heights problem. It didn't take long for her to come up with an idea which was sure to work 

"I've got it!" She suddenly spoke up "How about you just close your eyes while we go up to the top!"

"B-B-But then I wouldn't b-be able to c-climb up the v-volcano!" Jay pointed out, but Nya's idea didn't really require the freckled wreck to scale the volcano 

"And that's where I come in!" Nya told the confused teen, as Jay looked at her confused Nya turned around and motioned for him to hop onto her back. Reluctantly he stepped forward and held onto Nya, with the both of them blushing all the while 

"I hope you're not expecting me too carry you up too" Cole looked towards Zane who shook his Nindroid head 

"I am perfectly capable of reaching the top by myself Cole" Zane smiled at the muscular teen 

"Alright let's get to climbing!" Skylor exclaimed enthusiastically, of course she's enthusiastic, she doesn't actually have to climb up the volcano! 

Lloyd and I both let out a sigh before making our way towards the rough wall in front of us and began to scale up the large volcano, with our girlfriends holding onto us as tightly as they could

As we were climbing up the terrain I took a moment to catch my breath and see how everyone else was doing, Cole was unsurprisingly already at the top, probably enjoying a cup of tea with Sensei. Glancing to my left I could see Lloyd and Harumi were a little behind me, at least I won't be the last to get to the top. Just as I was about to start climbing up again a sudden blue and grey blur quickly climbed past me and Sky, looking up at the blur I saw Jay clinging onto my sis for dear life with his blue eyes shut as she quickly scaled the volcano. How is she doing this so easily?!

Seeing Nya whiz past me really gave me an extra boost of strength and energy, so I started to pick up the pace in climbing to the top. Skylor's hold on me grew tighter and tighter as we were about to reach the top. Finally after what felt like hours of climbing me and Sky reached the top and I was so relieved that it was over, as soon as Sky was off my back I collapsed onto the ground and started panting heavily 

"Well that wasn't so bad" Skylor sat down beside me, a slight grin on her face 

"That's.....easy.....for you.....to say" I barely managed to say to her, Skylor looked at me and giggled before giving me a quick peck on the cheek as a sort of thank you which I gladly accepted 

Sky and I's romantic moment was cut short when more heavy breathing filled the air, taking a moment to look at where the sound was coming from I could see Lloyd and Harumi had reached the top too. Just like me Lloyd collapsed onto the ground and started panting, but at least Harumi rewarded him with a peck on the cheek also

"Took you guys long enough" Nya smirked at us, drinking a cup of tea alongside Sensei, Jay, Cole and a Zane who was charging up with some solar panels he brought along 

"Ugh let's just get this over with" I groaned as I finally got off the hot ground 

"Wait a minute, Zane I never saw you climbing?" Lloyd suddenly pointed out to the nodding Zane

"That would be because I decided to not climb to the top" Zane informed us "Instead I thought it was best to use my Elemental Dragon to fly up here"

Lloyd and I's jaws dropped. How did we not think of that?!?! And how did we not know that Zane did that?!?!?! I was going to start yelling at the Nindroid for not suggesting we do the same but I think it's best I save the energy I still have for chasing after that Fang Blade 

"Alright then you slowpokes" Sensei stood up with a chuckle, brown staff in hand "We shall now venture after the Serpentine"

And with that Sensei led us into the hole those Serpentine dug to go after the third Fang Blade, after climbing up that damn volcano we're all pretty determined to not let those snakes get their scaly hands on this Fang Blade, because if we don't then we basically just climbed up that scorching rock for nothing! If we don't get the Fang Blade at least I got a nice peck on the cheek from Sky.......
