"Who be ye lot?" Captain Soto angrily asked in his heavy pirate accent, pointing his sharp silver cutlass towards Lord Garmadon and his army of snakes, Soto's crew standing behind him with menacing scowls on their faces as they grunted at the Serpentine "And what be with ye extra arms?" Captain Soto asked Garmadon, jabbing his cutlass into Garmadon's armoured upper half 

"I am the reason as to why you and your jolly pirate crew here are breathing among us right now" Garmadon introduced himself to Captain Soto, swatting the pirate captain's sword away from his upper torso "If it weren't for my totally cool and awesome Mega Weapon, you and your crew would still be dead" He explained to the out of time pirate, flashing his large golden weapon

Captain Soto scoffed at Garmadon's words "That be the most stupidest thing I ever heard! The Destiny's Bounty crew be the best pirate crew to ever sail the sea! No other crew could sink our proud ship!" Soto laughed with his crew, No-Eyed Pete's red parrot squawking loudly along with them 

A pirate with a black conical hat and brown eyepatch approached his captain, scratching the black moustache on his scarred face while adjusting the brown belts slung across the dirty white tunic he wore "Erm Cap'n? Last I remember we was drinking away all our rum while No Eyed Pete steered the ship, and ye know how bad he be at steering the ship" The pirate spoke to Soto, painting a picture of what was their last few moments alive 

Soto groaned, his golden hook for a left hand holding his forehead as the pirate captain grew frustrated "So ye be tellin me that No Eyed Pete here was in charge of sailing me beloved Bounty and is the reason for our crew sinking to the bottom of the sea" 

"That's right!" No Eyed Pete's parrot squawked, confirming the unfortunate fate of the Destiny's Bounty crew "That be the most embarrassing way for a pirate crew to end their voyage" Captain Soto sighed, looking down at the wooden deck in disappointment 

"Well it doesn't matter how you died in the past because thanks to me you're back now" Garmadon said to Soto, gesturing to himself with two of his four hands "And what be the reason for us comin' back then?" Captain Soto snapped to attention as his cutlass was once again pointed at Lord Garmadon and the Serpentine "If ye want the glory of defeating the Destiny's Bounty crew in a fight ye won't be getting it!" Soto angrily yelled as his crew behind him got ready for a battle 

Garmadon shook his head "Oh no, I wouldn't dare challenge the great Captain Soto and his mighty crew to a duel, I would be such a fool to do so" The four armed warlord spoke to the pirate captain who lowered his sword upon hearing the flattering words "I used my totally wicked Mega Weapon to bring all you pirates back in hopes of forming an awesome team up, with my many Serpentine and your savage pirate crew, my enemies will stand no chance against our overwhelming forces!" Lord Garmadon explained his master plan to the somewhat confused Captain Soto

"Aye, if ye be needing help getting rid of a Djinn we be the crew for the job" Soto proudly told the warlord in front of him, the rest of the pirates cheering with their weapons in the air "A what? No, I need your help to defeat a much stronger group of enemies. The Ninja!" The ruler of the Serpentine told the peg legged captain

"Ninja? What in the world be a Ninja? Do it have even more arms than ye?" Captain Soto asked Garmadon who looked at the pirate captain surprised "It appearssssss that our new crew matessss weren't around for the age of the Ninja" Fangtom's left head spoke in his vampiric voice 

"No matter!" Lord Garmadon quickly stated, turning away from the two headed Fangpyre to face Soto and his band of pirates "All you and your crew need to know is that the Ninja are a group of six very colourful and very annoying warriors, they have a very strong move called Spinjitzu that you'll want to look out for" Garmadon explained to the pirates as he showcased his own purple Spinjitzu, completely bewildering Soto and his crew 

Captain Soto was almost at a loss of words after witnessing Garmadon's Spinjitzu "What kind of Djinn magic did ye just do?" He questioned the warlord in front of him "That my dear captain was Spinjitzu, a very powerful martial art that the Ninja will no doubt use against you and your crew" Lord Garmadon said to Soto "Well what be in this for me and me crew? If we be fighting these Ninja then we best be getting something good out of it!" Captain Soto told Garmadon, his crew of course agreeing with him "Squawk! Will work for crackers!" No Eyed Pete's parrot could be heard saying from his perch on the blind pirate 

"I feel like bringing you lot back from the dead is a worthy enough payment but I suppose I could offer you a little more" Garmadon mumbled, rubbing his chin in thought as he tried to work out an offer the pirates would accept, settling on an idea that the sea loving pirates surely couldn't say no to "If you and your crew join me in taking out those pesky Ninja once and for all, then I shall return to you your greatest treasure, the Destiny's Bounty" 

"And how do ye plan to do that?" The eyepatch wearing captain laughed "Me beloved ship be at the bottom of the Endless Sea!" Soto challenged Garmadon who just smirked at the pirate captain "Are you sure? Why don't you take a look around" He grinned, receiving a raised brow from Soto who began looking around at the ship he was standing on, finding a lot of it to be very familiar "It be feelin' like I been on this vessel before" Captain Soto remarked, his crew nodding their heads "Squawk! Very familiar!" 

"It should, as the ship your wooden peg leg is standing on right now is your beloved Destiny's Bounty" Garmadon revealed to the band of pirates who all gasped in shock, looking around the ship to see if the warlord was telling the truth. The pirates recognising the shape of their ship and the once red dragon head at the bow of the vessel now turned a dark black, becoming confused with all of the technology they could spot added to their once proud pirate ship "What have ye done to me ship!?" Soto shouted at Garmadon as he waddled around the deck, taking in the state of what was once his Destiny's Bounty, peering over the edge of the railing to see that they've been flying over the ocean this entire time 

With a loud yell of terror Captain Soto stumbled back away from the railing of the Black Bounty, falling back into his crew with his black bicorne hat almost falling off "If me one good eye not be deceiving me then we be flying in the sky!" The startled captain said as he adjusted his hat, the rest of the pirates just as shocked as their captain once they saw the Endless Sea miles beneath them "So this be how it feels to be a parrot" A pirate with a shiny gold tooth spoke "Squawk! Welcome to the club!" 

"You can thank those Ninja for the flying part, all I did was make this thing look awesome" Garmadon told the one eyed pirate as he approached him "So, do we have a deal?" The warlord asked, extending one of his four hands out to Captain Soto who looked at him for a moment before making a decision "Aye, ye have yourself a deal four arms" Soto agreed to Garmadon's proposal as his golden hook shook Garmadon's hand

"Excellent, it will be most honourable to fight alongside the legendary Captain Soto" Garmadon slyly grinned before releasing Soto's hook from his grasp, returning to the Serpentine generals as Soto and his crew continued to look around their old ship in amazement "Are you ssssseriousssss?! We can not jussssst give them back their ship! We need it!" Skales hissed at Garmadon in a low angered voice 

Lord Garmadon just shook his head at Skales' words "Don't get your tail in a twist Skales, those filthy pirates won't be getting their ship back, once they help us fight the Ninja we'll simply toss them overboard and let history repeat itself" He informed the Hypnobrai general in a hush tone, making sure the pirates couldn't hear 

"Right now would be the perfect time for a world ending threat to happen" Kai leaned over in his chair and whispered to Harumi, the white haired teen simply rolling her eyes "Really? You're one of the Ninja who protect this city and you're wishing for something bad to happen just so you can get out of doing a test?" Harumi scoffed at the brown haired teen dressed head to toe in bright red 

"I wouldn't say I'm wishing for something bad to happen, I just wouldn't mind ditching this test to suit up and save the day" Kai replied to Harumi as he leaned back in his chair with a smirk on his face

That smirk however was quickly replaced with a frown once Mr. Saunders passed by Kai and Harumi, placing a copy of the very lengthy looking test on each of their desks, doing the same to every other student the old man walked past "I hope you all studied for this test, the best way to improve your understanding of our great great history is to study study and more study!" Mr. Saunders spoke to his class of unenthusiastic students as he made his way behind the wooden desk at the top of the history themed classroom, taking a seat as he observed his students beginning the pirate focused test 

As Kai didn't study one bit for this test, he was having a pretty hard time with basically every single question, except for what his name was, he got that one instantly. Harumi was doing a little better than Kai, being able to answer half of the questions on the first page. All the way at the back of the class Cole wasn't too bothered with the test, just filling in whatever he could remember while jamming out with his headphones as usual. Skylor and Lloyd weren't doing half bad, while Jay, Zane and Nya were the first out of the entire classroom to finish the whole four page long test. Seliel was doing just fine, getting stuck on a question every fe-

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

An extremely loud set of explosions could be heard coming from outside the classroom, everyone immediately dropped their tests and rushed over to the dusty windows to see what was happening in the city "Now now class, return to your seats and do not panic" Mr. Saunders tried to get his students under control but failed as the teenagers continued to crowd around the windows to see the latest threat to the city 

"Well looks like you got what you asked for" Harumi mumbled to Kai who couldn't help but smirk a little, knowing he wouldn't have to finish the test after all. Zane used his Nindroid vision to zoom in on the threat currently raining explosives down onto the city, getting a clear image of a very familiar vessel "Using my enhanced vision capabilities, I can confirm that attacking the city is none other than the Destiny's Bounty" The Nindroid told the other Ninja, his voice output turned almost to zero

"You mean our Destiny's Bounty? The ship that was eaten by the Great Devourer?" Lloyd questioned the white haired Nindroid who simply nodded "I am not sure how, but it does appear that our Destiny's Bounty has returned and is now being used to rain havoc on the city" Zane told the Ninja huddled in a small group away from the other students, Seliel too distracted by the danger outside the window to notice 

"Sounds like a job for the Ninja" Nya confidently said to the group of teens with her fists clenched, ready to go stop whoever was flying their old ship "Alright! No more test!" Kai happily cheered as he and Cole high-fived 

The other Ninja rolled their eyes at how excited the two teens seemed to be that the city was under attack, probably not the best look for the Secret Ninja Force. Lloyd gave all of the Ninja a nod to get ready, a nod that each of the Ninja returned with a prepared look, except for Jay, he was looking as anxious as always

"Can I have a bathroom pass?" All eight of the Ninja quickly stood up and asked Mr. Saunders in unison, confusing the old teacher who was busy with keeping his students from making a big scene "Eh? Bathroom pass? All of you? Okay okay, but be quick quick quick" The grey haired teacher told the group of teens before going back to calming down the rowdy students, letting the Ninja grab several of the history themed bathroom passes as they bolted out of the classroom door and down the hallway of the school. Seliel too busy watching the Destiny's Bounty attack the city to notice them leaving 

Lord Garmadon stood proudly on his Black Bounty, arms held behind his back as he overlooked the destruction beneath him. The civilians of Ninjago City ran for safety as a ship that once helped protect them filled the sky with cannonballs, creating massive explosions that Captain Soto's crew loved to watch "Oh it's glorious" Garmadon said to the Serpentine generals who stood to his side, watching the pirates destroy the city "Before you know it this entire city will be levelled and rebuilt in a much more awesome style to match its new ruler! The mayor won't know what hit her!" Lord Garmadon declared, swinging the Mega Weapon through the air 

"Don't get ahead of yourssssself now Garmadon" Skales began to speak up, already agitating his four armed leader "The Ninja will surely be here any moment to put a ssssstop to your plansssss" The Hypnobrai general reminded Garmadon who just snickered "My son and his little friends might be surprisingly good combatants, but we more than outnumber them with manpower. Not to mention using their own ship against them" Garmadon spoke to Skales with a wicked grin 

"Ssssssspeaking of manpower, what'ssssss with thosssse piratesssss?" Acidicus slithered across the wooden deck of the flying ship, taking note of the lack of pirates on the deck "They're ssssssupposssssed to be helping usssss and yet they choosssse to stay within the ship" The Venomari general pointed out "Oh give them a break Acidicus, they were just brought back from the dead and are now flying high above the seas in a strange version of their old ship, that's sure to be a frightening situation. Even for those supposedly ruthless pirates" Lord Garmadon said as he continued to look down at the city below, spotting a pilates studio that would be perfect for a Garmadon centric building 

As Garmadon and all of the Serpentine were distracted with the beautiful destruction of the city, Captain Soto laughed with his crew, handing over the wheel of the Black Bounty over to First Mate before carefully heading out onto the wooden deck of the ship. Making sure that his golden hook was firmly latched onto a railing before giving First Mate and his crew a special pirate signal 

"Sure be an interesting world ye have" Captain Soto began to speak to Garmadon and the Serpentine generals "With all the pretty lights and magic machines, but it do make me yearn for the old pirate days" Soto gave a crooked grin, adjusting his hold on the railing 

"It must be hard for you pirates to grasp that those swashbuckling days are over" Garmadon spoke to the previous captain of the ship, unaware of the one eyed man's plan "Unfortunately it seems that besides from the occasional Day of the Departed dress up, our world has mostly forgotten about you pirates" Lord Garmadon pointed out, certainly not pleasing Soto and his crew 

Captain Soto smirked as he looked back at First Mate steering the ship, knowing exactly what his ruthless captain wanted him to do "Ah it really be a shame, but perhaps us pirates can do something about it" Soto declared, confusing Garmadon and the Serpentine on the deck

Suddenly the entirety of the Black Bounty began tilting to the left, the Serpentine and Garmadon beginning to lose their balance and cling onto whatever part of the ship they could to safe themselves. Garmadon dug his Mega Weapon into the deck of the ship as the Serpentine generals did the same with their golden staffs, keeping the five of them in place enough to not lose their balance as the Black Bounty continued to tilt more to the left 

"What is the meaning of this!?" Lord Garmadon shouted in anger as he avoided getting hit by the many Serpentine who were unlucky enough to slide off the Black Bounty's deck and began plummeting down to the city below, all being lucky enough to land in the many bodies of water 

"This be our ship and we be taking it back!" Captain Soto yelled at Garmadon and the Serpentine generals who were starting to lose their footing on the tilted deck "Ye should have known to never trust a pirate!" Soto laughed, holding onto his black hat as he watched Lord Garmadon and the Serpentine generals finally slip off the wooden deck of his ship, Garmadon roaring obscene words at Captain Soto as he fell through the sky. Unfortunately not being as lucky as the Serpentine, landing in a filthy trash filled dumpster with the four generals, at least it broke their fall for the most part 

First Mate returned the Black Bounty to its normal flying position, allowing his captain to unhook himself from the railing of the ship and join his crew within the cabin, all of the pirates cheering that they finally got rid of Garmadon and the Serpentine, reclaiming their beloved Destiny's Bounty 

"With our vessel being ours again we be setting our eyes on the treasure of this here Ninjago City! We not be stopping until all those pretty lights be gone and all is pillaged!" Captain Soto said to his crew with a cutlass raised in the air, his crew loudly cheering and squawking with their own weapons drawn ready to seek out the treasure they all desired 

"Woah, what's going on up there?" Kai pointed at the Black Bounty flying over the city from his position on the high rooftop, the Ninja being able to see what looked like several figures being dropped from the intimidating looking ship. Zane stepped closer to the edge of the building and zoomed his Nindroid eyes in on what used to be the Ninja's boat "It appears as though Lord Garmadon and the Serpentine have been removed from the Destiny's Bounty" The Ice Ninja informed the others 

"So who's the one flying our ship?" Nya asked Zane who unfortunately did not have an answer for the Water Ninja crouching on the rooftop vent "Whoever it is sure has to answer for all the destruction they're causing, not to mention making the Bounty look terrible" Lloyd remarked before starting to make a move towards the Black Bounty, hopping down from the high rooftop to the lower buildings of the city, running across the damaged buildings as the other Ninja followed behind

As the Ninja grew closer to their old ship, the anchor of the Black Bounty suddenly shot down and crashed right into the middle of the city, tearing through the roads and destroying anything in its path. Civilians running for safety as the tyrants responsible for the attack began sliding down the chain of the anchor, revealing to the Ninja a very surprising enemy 

"P-P-Pirates?!" Jay stuttered out in disbelief, so shocked that he almost slipped right off the awning he was standing on "Wow, you sure don't see this everyday" Cole stated with his bushy eyebrows raised while watching the resurrected pirate crew wreck havoc on the city streets 

"How are there pirates attacking the city?!" Harumi asked in total confusion "I thought all those guys were supposed to be long gone!" The Jade Ninja exclaimed, arming herself with her two silver sai "I'm betting it was my dad and his fancy Mega Weapon, if he was able to bring back a creature like the Grundle a bunch of pirates should be a piece of cake" Lloyd told Harumi, making Cole somewhat drool under his mask from hearing the word cake 

The Orange Ninja slotted an arrow from her quiver into her crossbow, taking aim at the several pirates down below "So any plans on getting rid of these pirates? I'd hate for them to ruin my father's restaurant, even if it meant I would get a day off" Skylor brought up, firing an arrow at a pirate harassing a poor market vendor, knocking the cutlass right out of their hand and scaring them off 

"I think the best way to handle these pirates is to split into two groups, one group fighting them on the ground while the other heads up to the Bounty to stop them from causing any more major damage" Lloyd suggested to his team who all accepted the plan "I-I-I volunteer f-for the ground t-t-team!" Jay quickly raised his hand, not being a very big fan of heights

"And I volunteer for the Bounty group! I wanna make sure I strike them right at the source!" Nya eagerly put herself forward with her spear at the ready "If my sis is going up there then I want to go up too!" Kai joined his sister's side, having a cocky look under his mask while drawing the two silver katanas from his back scabbard "Those pirates destroyed my favourite makeup store, this is personal now! I'm heading up there to give em a piece of my mind!" An angry Harumi decided to join Kai and Nya's group 

"I'll be leading the group heading up to the Bounty, so everyone else should join Jay in defending the civilians, sound good?" Lloyd asked Zane, Cole and Skylor "Affirmative" The Ice Ninja replied as he got his bow ready for battle

Cole swung his large hammer over his shoulder before giving Kai a fist bump "Good luck up there you guys, make sure you get our ship back, even as a big fan of the colour black I gotta say it's really not the Bounty's colour" The muscular Ninja spoke to the group of four warriors who all gave the Earth Ninja a nod "You heard him, let's get our ship back! NINJA-GOO!" Lloyd shouted loudly with his dao blade held up in the air

All of the Ninja hastily leaped down from their rooftop perches and down to the city streets, instantly spinning into Spinjitzu in order to knock out as many pirates as possible. Jay, Zane, Skylor and Cole continued to fight off the pirate crew as Lloyd's team hurried after the Black Bounty, the Green Ninja leading the others as he grabbed onto the chain of the destructive anchor and began carefully climbing up the steel chain while Kai, Harumi and Nya followed after 

The four Ninja had to be extremely careful as they climbed their way up to the ship, the long chain was incredibly hard to stay onto as Captain Soto's crew certainly didn't pay attention to the traffic laws of the city, the steel chain swinging violently with every harsh movement of the Black Bounty. The Ninja had to make sure they kept a good grasp on the chain at all times, or else they would suffer a very painful fall, something Kai almost experienced as he let the steel chain slip from his hands for a mere second, luckily only falling down a little bit 

"You would think for a bunch of pirates they could fly the ship a little better" Nya complained as she slowly climbed up the constantly moving chain, pausing every once in awhile to ensure she didn't lose her grip "Now I'm wishing I chose to stay on the ground...." Harumi mumbled with her eyes focused on the city way below them, suddenly having a fear of heights is a very real deal 

Lloyd was the first to reach the top of the long chain and quietly climbed over the golden railing surrounding the edge of the ship, stepping foot on the wooden deck and making sure he wasn't in the eyeline of any pirates watching the destruction aboard the flying ship. Nya eventually reached the top as well, jumping over the railing and crouching with Lloyd as Kai just about managed to claw himself onto the deck, helping Harumi join the three of them as she finally got to the top of the extremely hard to climb chain 

The four Ninja tried to stay silent while they observed the rowdy pirates, enjoying the spoils of their pillaging as their peg legged captain stepped out of the Black Bounty to join them, surprising the Ninja with his appearance 

"Wait a minute, that's Captain Soto!" Nya pointed at the pirate captain, keeping her voice down in order to remain hidden from the crew of pirates "You mean that old guy Mr. Saunders has been yapping about the past few days?" Harumi asked the Water Ninja "Looks like Mr. Saunders' teaching will actually come in handy for once. Thank you Mr. Saunders!" Kai celebrated to himself as he fist bumped the air, almost alerting the pirates of his presence behind the pillaged goods

"But last I remember Mr. Saunders didn't teach us an exact weakness for Captain Soto and his crew of pirates" Lloyd brought up to the group "Ugh! Damn you Mr. Saunders!" The Red Ninja shouted in frustration while punching the wooden deck below him, something that didn't go unnoticed by Soto and his laughing crew 

Captain Soto and a few members of the crew stopped their pirate celebrations upon hearing the faint noise of Kai's frustration towards the front of the Black Bounty "Did ye hear that? I be thinking we have a stowaway on board!" Soto spoke to First Mate and the rest of his crew, drawing his silver cutlass as he started to walk towards the source of the noise, followed by his band of pirates

"Great going bro!" Nya scolded Kai with a punch to the shoulder "Looks like there's no point in trying to surprise them now" Lloyd muttered, taking his dao blade off his back and preparing for a battle 

The four Ninja suddenly jumped out of their hiding place and got into battle stances, aiming their weapons towards Captain Soto and his crew who all looked very confused by the reveal of the multicoloured Ninja "Squawk! Weirdos aboard! Weirdos aboard!" No Eyed Pete's parrot squawked 

"Weirdos!? Us?! That bird better zip it before I make it!" Harumi angrily shouted at the speaking parrot, one more insult away from using Spinjitzu to send the parrot flying overboard "What be the meaning of this? Who be ye? Some kind of......pyjama men?" Captain Soto confusingly said, keeping his sharp cutlass pointed at the Ninja "And pyjama women!" Nya corrected Soto with an offended scowl under her silver mask 

"Ah it don't matter what ye be!" Captain Soto stomped his brown peg leg "Ye four be on me ship! Only me and me crew be allowed onboard so ye better get to walking the plank!" Soto yelled loudly as he began walking towards the Ninja, his crew following behind with their weapons at the ready 

Kai scoffed at the pirate captain and his approaching crew "Your ship? Look pal, you and your little band of pirates have been gone for years, and under the rules of you snooze you lose, this ship belongs to us!" Captain Soto and his colourful crew didn't seem to agree with the Red Ninja's idea, all grunting as they continued their march towards the four Ninja 

"If it's a fight for the ship they want, then it's a fight for the ship they'll get!" Nya declared as she twirled her spear around before launching herself right at the pirate crew, striking down two pirates as she quickly blocked a cutlass with the wooden shaft of her spear 

Captain Soto loudly yelled as he waddled forward and took a swing at Lloyd, only for his weapon to be met with the Green Ninja's silver dao blade, locking the two in a fierce one on one sword fight, Soto proving himself as a worthy captain with his cutlass skills. Harumi kicked and slashed her way through as many pirates as she could, handling herself pretty well until a stronger member of the crew picked up a barrel near the mast, hoisting it up over his head before tossing it right at Harumi and striking the Jade Ninja head on, sending her tumbling backwards with a painful groan 

Kai rolled across the deck as he dodged one of First Mate's golden daggers, knocking away two other pirates as he lunged for First Mate, blocking several daggers with his katanas before a sudden surprise attack from the left knocked him onto the ground. Not one to stay down the Fire Ninja sprang to his feet and swiftly took revenge on the pirate that attacked him, striking the pirate right in the chest with the handle of his sword, ending the short fight with a roundhouse kick that sent the poor pirate crashing into several other members of the crew

A confident smirk was underneath the Water Ninja's mask as she easily held her own against the many pirates aboard the Bounty, having no problem with taking on more than one at a time, showing just how well she has been able to master her weapon of choice. She hadn't even spun into her blue coloured Spinjitzu and the deck was already covered with worn out pirates groaning in defeat, a pirate sporting a black beard thought they would finally be the one to take out the Water Ninja, charging towards her with a devilish grin. Nya didn't even think twice as she ran towards the pirate, meeting their knife attack head on with her spear, quickly knocking the sharp knife overboard as the tasseled end of her spear connected with the pirate's face, gaining a loud yell of pain as he fell backwards 

"Squawk! Weirdo approaching!" No Eyed Pete's trusty parrot warned him about Harumi making her way towards the grey haired pirate, infuriating the Jade Ninja "Oh you're totally gonna get it now!" She shouted as she pounced at the blind man, only for the talkative bird to tell their owner to step to the left, completely avoiding Harumi's sai attack. Harumi swung her right sai at No Eyed Pete but yet again the annoying parrot kept the pirate out of harm's way, this just made the Jade Ninja angrier as she began unleashing a flurry of slashes that thanks to the parrot all missed the blind man, who was even able to land a hit or two with his mop 

"Let's see you talk your way out of this one!" Harumi cried out before spinning into her jade coloured Spinjitzu, slamming into No Eyed Pete which gave her the perfect chance to finally shut the annoying parrot up by grabbing the loudly squawking bird and placing her gloved hand over its beak "Oh how I love the sound of silence" Harumi taunted the parrot as she finally got it to be quiet, much to the parrot's dismay 

Soto panted heavily as he and Lloyd continued to be stuck in a duel, no matter how many dirty tricks the captain tried to pull the Green Ninja seemed to always come back and strike him back with an even stronger blow "Ye be good with a sword I give ye that" Captain Soto couldn't help but praise Lloyd "Trust me, you haven't seen anything yet!" Lloyd told the peg legged captain as he jumped back and placed his dao blade onto his back, confusing Soto as the Green Ninja stood completely still in front of him, striking some kind of stance with his two hands forming a ball shape 

"What in the world do ye be doing?! We be in the middle of a duel!" Captain Soto hollered at Lloyd, stomping his wooden leg in frustration. Lloyd didn't respond to Soto, instead staying completely silent as he closed his green eyes and tried his hardest to focus on unleashing his powers "Come on powers I kind of really need you to work with me here" Lloyd muttered to himself as he struggled to tap into his green coloured element

As he was distracted with trying to summon his element, Captain Soto grinned as he saw this as the perfect chance to win their little duel, as quietly as he could Soto moved towards the still struggling Lloyd and raised his cutlass, preparing to deal the final strike 

Deciding that he wasn't ready to use his powers, Lloyd sighed in defeat as he finally opened his eyes, just in time to see Captain Soto's devilish face right in front of him with the captain's sharp blade coming towards him. The Green Ninja shrieked and tried to defend himself with his hands, which to Soto and everyone else's surprise actually worked as a small but powerful green blast shot out of Lloyd's right hand, sending Soto flying across the deck and painfully crashing into a set of stolen crates at the front of the ship. Knocking the mighty pirate captain out cold 

Lloyd stood frozen for a moment in disbelief, eyes wide as he looked down at his hand that sent Soto flying with a powerful green blast, a small confident grin forming under his black and green mask. Kai was the first to celebrate Lloyd's usage of his power as the Red Ninja practically jumped onto Lloyd, slinging an arm around the surprised teen's neck "Woah dude that was so awesome! You've got a cannon for an arm!" The Fire Ninja cheered for Lloyd as the Green Ninja chuckled 

"That truly was something Lloyd" Nya spoke as she and Harumi approached the two teens, stepping over members of Captain Soto's crew "I'm sure with a power like that your father will be trembling in his boots" Harumi laughed with the other three Ninja as the four of them made their way to the control room of the Black Bounty, stopping the ship from causing anymore harm as Nya slowly brought it down to the ground below, being very careful of the surrounding area and citizens 

With the Black Bounty now safely situated on the ground, Jay, Cole, Skylor and Zane headed over to reunite with the other Ninja, hopping onto the black and red ship covered in unconscious pirates "Wow you sure did a number on these guys" Skylor commented as she stepped over No-Eyed Pete "It does indeed appear you four have done a fantastic job at dealing with our Captain Soto problem" Zane's robotic voice said, the Nindroid gesturing to the knocked out captain 

"All thanks to Lloyd here tapping into his power" Kai made sure to tell the other Ninja as he gave Lloyd a pat on the back "Great going bro" Cole congratulated Lloyd with a playful punch on the arm "Thanks, but now what are we gonna do with all these pirates?" Lloyd asked, looking across the deck of the ship at all the dazed pirates 

"The best course of action would be to simply leave them all here for the Ninjago City Police Department to arrest and then place within Kryptarium Prison" The Ice Ninja explained to the Ninja "S-S-Sending a b-b-b-bunch of out of t-t-time pirates resurrected b-by magic to p-prison, that sounds n-n-normal" Jay couldn't help but awkwardly chuckle at the absurdness of the situation 

The Ninja quickly got to work in getting rid of Soto and his crew along with everything they stole, dragging and carrying the many pirates off the Black Bounty, making sure they couldn't escape before Harumi's father and the rest of the Ninjago City Police Department arrived by tying them all to a set of lampposts. Complete with a 'You're Welcome' note signed from 'The Secret Ninja Force'

"It's gonna be so great to finally have the Bounty back under our control" Nya spoke as she and the Ninja boarded their old ship, noticing everything that Garmadon had changed "Ugh we've really gotta do something about the colours, they just do not look good at all" Harumi scoffed in disgust, already planning so many ways to fix the Black Bounty 

"Eh, I kind of like the black" Cole voiced his opinion, casually leaning against the railing of the ship, surprising nobody with his answer. The Ninja's moment of relaxation would be shortly lived as in the distance they could hear a certain somebody approaching the ship "Hurry up Vinny! Quickly we have to get them before they're gone!" The all too familiar sounding voice of Ninjago's most nosey reporter could be heard racing towards them, her poor cameraman trying to keep up 

"Uhhh we better get out of here before Gayle reaches us, I am not in the mood for her annoying questions right now" Lloyd said to Nya who wasted no time in starting up the Black Bounty's thrusters, perhaps if Gayle got too close Lloyd could use his powers to scare her away. Just before Gayle could overwhelm the Ninja with a million questions, the Black Bounty lifted off the ground and quickly began to fly away from the city, leaving the reporter behind with her favourite bright pink jacket now covered in black soot. Thankfully for Vinny he kept his laughter to himself, avoiding a terrible firing 

And so with the unfortunate ending of Gayle being covered head to toe in black soot, this Ninja Life chapter reaches its end, can't say I feel too bad for Gayle though. Feels like karma for all the nosey reporting she's done 

What will each of the Ninja get on their history tests? Will Captain Soto and his jolly band of pirates adjust well to the prison life? And was Garmadon going to replace the pilates studio with!? I wouldn't exactly bet money on any of these questions being answered in the next Ninja Life chapter, I also wouldn't bet money on it releasing the same year as this one if this books track record is anything to go by
