(Lloyd's POV)

After a not so very long wait, the day is here, Ninja Day. A day made to honour us Ninja and hopefully inspire more people to be like us, always standing for what is right and protecting those who can't protect themselves, I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about it all, I'm probably gonna have to give a speech to the entirety of Ninjago City! If that happens I gotta make sure whatever I say is absolutely perfect, the last thing this city needs is an incompetent Green Ninja that can't even give a speech.....

Last night my mom and I stayed up a little late coming up with potential speeches, but none of the speeches we wrote really felt right to me, I don't want to ask the other Ninja for help as I certainly don't want them of all people to think I'm incompetent, I'm already the only Ninja on the team who hasn't unlocked their True Potential so I don't need another reason for the others to not take me seriously as their leader 

My feet graciously landed on the ground outside our massive warehouse secret base and I casually strolled inside, trying to forget all about my self doubting thoughts so that the other Ninja wouldn't think something was up. As I walked into the warehouse I saw that all the other Ninja were already here, all looking to be getting ready for our big Ninja Day show with Master Wu calmly enjoying a cup of tea 

"There you are bro!" Kai cheerfully greeted me with a massive grin on his face, giving me one hell of a high five before slinging an arm around my neck "You excited about our very own day? This is gonna be awesome!" The extremely spiky haired teen excitedly said, I really wish I was as carefree as Kai is right now 

"Getting the day off school and being celebrated by everyone in the city sure isn't a bad way to spend the day" Cole nonchalantly spoke from his seat on the couch, watching Gayle Gossip reporting from the park "They really put a lot into this Ninja Day celebration" Skylor commented as she looked at the TV, seeing everything that was set up for our big day "I saw so many banners for the event on my way here, that mayor sure does work fast" I said as Kai finally let me out of his grasp, the Red Ninja going to grab something from the fridge 

As I looked at everyone pumped for the day ahead, Zane's large smile somehow looking even larger than usual, I still couldn't help but feel anxious about what might happen, running numerous different possibilities through my head, most of them involving my speech going horribly wrong. At least it looked like I wasn't the only Ninja having a tough time preparing for Ninja Day, as taking a look at Jay I could see something was wrong, he was nervously playing with his scarf away from everyone else 

While the others were distracted by the TV, I made my way over to the unmasked Blue Ninja, giving him a small smile as he noticed me approaching "Oh umm h-hey Lloyd" He greeted me meekly with a small wave, immediately going back to playing with his scarf "Hey Jay, uh everything alright buddy?" I softly spoke to the auburn haired teen as I sat down beside him

"Ummm w-w-well uhh n-not exactly......" Jay quietly admitted to me, his right foot bouncing off the warehouse floor at the speed of lightning "It's j-just that umm I-I'm a little uhhhh n-n-nervous about the whole ummm N-Ninja Day thing" He began to explain, making very little eye contact with me "I-I'm not l-like you guys, I uhh g-get very anxious and nervous with p-p-people and there's gonna be s-s-so many people around us that I-I-I don't know if I can do this. W-What if people a-a-ask for photos? What do I d-d-do? W-What if I mess up o-on something or let down the p-p-people of the city?!" Jay seemed to ramble on forever, his voice and movements becoming quicker and more agitated as he went on 

I placed a comforting hand on Jay's right shoulder, finally stopping the ramblings of the Blue Ninja "Alright slow down there Jay, everything about today will go perfectly fine" I began reassuring my nervous friend who still looked a little worried "You're not the only one nervous about today, just this morning my mom had to give me a little Green Ninja pep talk to get me out of the apartment" I revealed to Jay who looked a little surprised 

"R-Really? You're n-n-nervous too? B-But you're the Green N-N-Ninja! Our leader! You d-d-don't get n-nervous!" Jay almost shouted out loud "Geez thanks for reminding me" I playfully nudged the Blue Ninja "I guess even I get nervous sometimes, I mean how can I not? I'm supposed to be the leader of the team, that's a whole lot of responsibility and I don't wanna let you guys or the city down. What if I mess up during my big Ninja Day speech? Am I gonna make the city hate us? Unlike you guys I haven't unlocked my True Potential so why am I the one chosen to lead the team?" I couldn't help but ramble on myself, hoping that maybe Jay might find comfort in the fact he's not the only one feeling anxious about today 

"W-Wow umm w-well uhhhh your worries r-r-really make my ummm worries seem s-silly" Jay lightly chuckled, rubbing his left arm "Your worries are completely valid Jay, we all have our own struggles, but I'm sure that by sticking together and sticking with the others, you and I can overcome our issues" I confidently told Jay with a smile, the freckled teen giving me a small smile back "Wow, n-n-now that's a speech o-only a real l-leader can give, I feel like I m-might not pass o-o-out today now" Jay once again chuckled, making me let out a small laugh myself "Now I know t-t-that you're gonna d-deliver a great s-speech" 

"Thanks for the words of encouragement Jay, now come on lets go join the others" I said to the slightly less anxious Ninja before standing up and leading the both of us over to the rest of the Ninja, all still watching the Ninja Day festivities on the TV "Whoever made those banners did a perfect job, they really captured my elegant beauty with just my eyes" Harumi commented as the TV screen displayed one of the large banners hung up all across the city, a really cool art piece that showed all eight of us Ninja, I certainly wouldn't mind getting one to hang up in my room or even the warehouse itself 

Nya sipped on a can of soda before speaking to Harumi "Sure it's great to see our Ninja faces plastered everywhere but don't forget the real reason for this whole event Harumi, this is supposed to be a charity event to help the people of the city, not just to inflate our egos" The Water Ninja reminded us all, Master Wu walked over to us with his staff in hand seeming to agree with what Nya had just said "Nya is correct, do not forget the true purpose of this day, it is not just about celebrating your heroic acts but also to inspire others to be as great as you all have become, along with providing your services during this hard time for the people of the city" My uncle told us 

"We promise you Master, the true intention of this event will not be forgotten by us, my memory banks should be more than sufficient in reminding us" Zane said to the wise old man who simply responded with a nod before directing his attention towards the TV screen "I do believe that you have let the people of the city wait long enough, it is time you all make your way to Ninjago City Park for the event, leaving me here to enjoy my tea and martial arts movies in peace" Master Wu informed us as he took a seat on the red couch, switching the TV to that network that only ever shows old martial arts movies, Master Wu's favourites being the ones made with that Chan Kong-sang guy, gotta say he kind of sounds like Master Wu a little....

"Well what do you say guys? We all ready?" I asked the rest of the Ninja who all looked eager to get to the event, even Jay seemed a little excited about it, I put my hand in the middle of our huddle and one by one the others placed their hands on top of mine "Alright then, Ninja-Go!" I loudly shouted as our hands shot through the air, the eight of us threw on our masks and hurried out of the warehouse, climbing onto the top of the shipping containers close by and setting our sights on Ninjago City Park for the Ninja Day festivities 

Usually our rooftop journeys can get pretty boring, with everyone just focusing on manoeuvring from one location to the next with the occasional conversation, but the journey to Ninjago City Park is probably the best parkour journey I've ever had! All along the way towards the park everyone below was cheering for us, honking their horns and shouting their words of encouragement as we grew closer to the large park, I certainly could get use to this! Kai was for sure the one enjoying the attention the most, striking numerous poses for the people below who all loved it, I really wish I could have his confidence at times 

With the sound of thundering applause the eight of us at last had reached Ninjago City Park, taking in the amazing sight that was the park decorated in what looked like millions of Ninja themed decorations, banners, balloons and literally anything the mayor could slap our masked faces onto, they even had somebody painting the kids' faces to look like us! The eight of us elegantly dropped down from a sushi restaurant and perfectly landed on the string of Ninja themed lights that ran through the entire park, well almost perfectly, Jay would have fallen right off into the crowd of adoring fans if it weren't for Cole grabbing him in time 

"It appears that we are needed over by that red and blue gazebo" Zane pointed towards a wonderfully made gazebo, beside which was a wooden stage surrounded by speakers and lights set up by the mayor who was patiently waiting for us on the stage, along with what looked like Gayle Gossip bothering her with a million different questions "Oh great Gayle Gossip is here, and here I though that today was going to be perfect" Nya remarked as we made our way across the hanging lights, feeling like circus performers walking across a tight rope 

In unison we all jumped down from the hanging lights and perfectly landed in formation on the wooden stage, the crowd around us erupting in applause as we greeted them with waves and of course Kai going the extra mile with all of his poses. The mayor looked especially happy to see us as she walked over to us with a large somewhat strained smile, looks like Gayle was really getting to her "Ninja! There you all are! It is such an honour to have you all attend this event in honour of all of your hard work!" Mayor Constance greeted us as she shook my right hand, almost dragging me into the centre of the stage as we shook hands, the mayor making sure that every camera captured her being extremely friendly with the Green Ninja, the usual politician stuff I suppose 

The mayor eventually let my hand free and Gayle took this as her chance to berate us all with what must have been a billion questions, shoving her microphone in our faces as her poor cameraman shoved his camera in our faces as well "It's been too long since you've been on my show Ninja, what do you say about a second appearance? Maybe this time we can do it without those masks it would really boost my ratings! Any drama within the team the lovely folks at home should know about?!" Gayle continued waving her little microphone in our faces, with Nya and Harumi looking about ready to break the microphone into two 

"Gayle I please ask that you and your cameraman stop bothering the Ninja so we can get on with the official Ninja Day ceremony" Mayor Constance was thankfully able to get Gayle to shut up for once as she ushered the annoying reporter and her cameraman to the far side of the stage, far away from us which was a giant relief. With Gayle pouting in the corner of the stage, the mayor stepped up to the podium on the stage and began to speak to the people of the city, her voice being projected all throughout the city "Greetings Ninjago City, it is truly with great honour that I, Mayor Constance, declare that today shall be known as Ninja Day. A day to celebrate our heroic heroes known as the Secret Ninja Force, heroes that always rise to the occasion to save the people of this fine city from any danger that comes our way!"

I almost had to cover my ears because of the response the mayor received, it was literally the sound of every single person in Ninjago City cheering and clapping at the same time. It took a little while for the roaring applause to quiet down, but when it finally did Mayor Constance was able to continue speaking "And now it would truly be a great honour to hear some words from the leader of the Secret Ninja Force, the Green Ninja!" The mayor loudly spoke into the microphone, gesturing towards me which instantly made me feel incredibly nervous as I was put on the spot by the mayor herself 

Looks like that worry of having to present a big speech in front of the entire city is coming true, all of those thoughts of the speech going horribly wrong came racing back to me as I looked out onto the enormous crowd, the nervous feeling being intensified by all of the large screens across the city broadcasting my masked face. I looked back at the other Ninja and they all gave me looks of support, Jay giving me a small thumbs up from behind the Nindroid body of Zane. With the encouragement of my friends making me feel a little better about delivering a speech to every person in Ninjago City, I forced myself to slowly walk across the stage and step up to the podium holding the microphone, hoping that my practice with my mom would all pay off 

I cleared my throat and somewhat calmed my nerves before beginning to speak to the too big to count population of Ninjago City "Uhhhh g-greetings people of Ninjago City, I can umm truly say that being here today is a great pleasure, for me and the rest of the Secret Ninja Force. To be honoured in such a way by such wonderful people is an honour for us all" I started off what would hopefully be a great speech, trying my best not to sound nervous "I speak for myself and the other Ninja when I say that being the protectors of Ninjago City and its fantastic people has been a true privilege" The people of the city cheered and applauded, somewhat quelling my nerves as it seemed they were liking my speech 

"This event was made to honour us Ninja, plastering our faces all across the city, but that's not all this event is for. Ninja Day is not only for celebrating our heroic and awesome acts, but also to inspire others like yourselves to be just as brave and strong as we the Ninja have become, not only helping yourself but making sure to look out for the people around you, protecting those who aren't able to protect themselves. Always being there to support the people you're close to, along with lending a helping hand to anyone who needs it, and I hope that by the end of today everyone will feel motivated to be a Ninja in their own way" I finally finished my speech, looking at the enormous sea of people which was completely silent, the only time in history that Ninjago City was ever quiet 

"YOU RULE GREEN NINJA!" What sounded like Chad Park shouted from the crowd, ending the unnerving silence and starting another deafening round of clapping and cheering, I can't believe that I'm actually glad to hear Chad Park's voice of all people. I somewhat stumbled away from the podium and rejoined the other Ninja, all of them looking pretty satisfied with my speech "Way to go bro, you made a speech that wasn't totally boring" Cole told me with a hint of pride, certainly high praise from the guy who seemed to get bored easily. When the other Ninja were done congratulating me on such a flawless speech, Jay snaked his way over to me "S-S-See? It wasn't s-s-so hard after a-all" He softly spoke, I gave him a smile from underneath my mask as I patted him on the back "I guess not" I told him as the two of us walked over to join the other Ninja in waving to the people 

The mayor once again took a position at the podium, fixing her red glasses before once again using the microphone "Thank you Green Ninja for such a wonderful speech, and so with the Green Ninja sharing some heroic words, let the Ninja Day festivities officially begin!" Mayor Constance announced to the entirety of the city, some of the balloons above the park popping open to drop confetti of all our Ninja colours, creating a very colourful scene. I sure hope we didn't sign up to clean this whole place up after today, I'm still tired from helping restore the Bounty.....

With Ninja Day officially kicked off, the mayor quickly ushered us off the stage and into the massive crowd of people, her security guards surrounding us as we were led through the sea of adoring fans, thankfully getting away from Gayle Gossip before she could pester us. Even with the mayor's security forming a large distance between us and the people I couldn't help but feel a little bit claustrophobic, finding it slightly hard to breathe properly, the mask of course didn't help things much, poor Jay was clinging onto Zane for his life as we were moved through the swarm of people 

"Alright Ninja you asked for this whole event so I hope you're all ready to deliver one heck of an experience to all these people, no pressure or anything but I do expect this event to boost my votes for the next election" We could barely hear Mayor Constance say over the thundering crowd "Lightning Ninja, Ice Ninja and Water Ninja, you three wanted to play mechanic right? Well lucky for you three I've got a line as long as Lord Garmadon's felonies waiting just outside the park for your vehicle expertise so go on and follow these two gentlemen and they'll bring you to them" The black haired mayor gently nudged Jay, Zane and Nya in the direction of two security guards that began leading the three Ninja away from us, the three of them disappearing into the horde of citizens 

"Now for the rest of you, Fire Ninja and Earth Ninja you two are gonna be on clean up duty, lending a hand with cleaning up the city streets, getting rid of rubble and all that stuff I don't want in my lovely city" Mayor Constance told Kai and Cole who didn't seem to mind their appointed duties, being escorted away from us by another set of bodyguards "Orange Ninja and Jade Ninja, I take it you ladies aren't up for intense manual labour so I sorted you two out with the simple job of entertaining the people, answering questions and telling them some Ninja stories y'know stuff like that. My esteemed bodyguards here will show you two to your booth" The fast talking mayor told Skylor and Harumi who were quickly taken away by two bodyguards, Harumi and I only getting to share a wave before she was taken away 

Now it was just me and the mayor making our way through the crowded park, the bodyguards doing a good job of keeping the people from mobbing the two of us "And now for you Green Ninja, the most important Ninja of them all" The elegantly dressed woman began speaking to me "Well actually we're all more like equals on the team, nobody is more important than somebody else" I just had to interrupt the mayor, not exactly liking how she disregarded the other Ninja "Yeah yeah whatever keeps the team together, I haven't really assigned you a specific duty during this event, I more so want you to just walk around the place, taking photos with the people, signing autographs and anything else that'll make the people happy" The mayor finished telling me what I was meant to do during this whole event "I would really love to stick around for Ninja Day believe me, but the mayor of the largest city on the island never rests, everyone else may have gotten the day off but I sure didn't. If you'll excuse me I've got a ton of paper work that needs doing" Mayor Constance excused herself before abruptly leaving me and heading towards a helicopter landing just outside the park, with her she took her numerous bodyguards which unfortunately meant I was left by myself surrounded by way more people than I could count, even Zane would have difficulty counting them! 

It kinda felt like a zombie movie as all these people began coming towards me from every direction, thinking quickly I leaped into the air and grabbed onto a string of lights, perching above the people that all looked excited to see me "Uhhh hey everyone, I'm more than happy to say hi and chat with you all but I please ask that we form an orderly line right by the stage, that way everyone can get a chance to meet me" I explained to the people, a few looked disappointed but the majority seemed to agree with the arrangement, and I quickly began making my way back to the wooden stage before it could become overrun by rapid Ninja fans 

Taking the podium off the stage and flipping it onto its side, I used it as a sort of divider between me and the people, it's not like I hate the people of the city it's just that I've seen some pretty crazy Secret Ninja Force fans online and I don't quite fancy getting swarmed by them, and also I would be lying if I said I didn't like my personal space. One by one I began to interact with the people, so many of them wearing incredible cosplays that looked pretty much identical to our very own suits, if it wasn't for my green eyes it would be impossible to tell who was the real Green Ninja. I really had to channel my inner Kai when people asked for photos, trying my best to appear like I wasn't incredibly overwhelmed by the amount of people and attention as countless selfies were taken, one couple even wanted me to take a photo holding their newborn baby which felt a little weird 

Even after enduring hours of training from Master Wu, my hands were aching after signing what felt like a million autographs, there were multiple times I had to stop myself from actually signing my real name, quickly correcting whatever I wrote to simply say "Green Ninja", that would probably be the worst way for my identity to be revealed. I really wanted to go check up on the other Ninja but the people just kept coming, I just accepted that this was all I was going to be doing for the rest of the day, the mayor could have at least given me a chair....

I said my goodbyes to a very nice pair of fans before facing the next person in line, being caught off guard by how tall the person was, they easily towered over me and everyone else in the park, I tried to make it look like I wasn't staring as I looked them up and down. Their eyes were covered by a pair of flashy golden framed sunglasses that somewhat matched their combed tan hair and they wore a large dark orange office shirt, completed with a long black tie. I think I'm getting really tired because it kinda looked like his shirt had extra holes for two more arms, as soon as this Ninja Day event is over I am crashing out on the sofa at the warehouse 

"It is truly an honour to be meeting you today Green Ninja" The tall man said to me, his voice sounding a little familiar to me, but then again I've heard so many people today so I guess they're all just starting to blend together "I would be very grateful if you could sign this picture for my son" He told me as he handed over a photo of me leaping across a city rooftop "Of course, not a problem, what's your son's name?" I asked the large man as I began to sign the picture with a green marker, being cautious not to write my own name 

"Lloyd, spelt with two l's" The man told me with a bit of a snarl, huh what a coincidence, that's my name as well. But then suddenly something in my brain clicked, hearing the somewhat familiar voice of this man say my name, made me think something awful, slowly looking up from the photograph I made eye contact with the tall man and the realisation hit me like one of those Chen's Noodle House trucks 

As I looked up at the face of the man, he gradually lowered his sunglasses and let me see his bright red eyes that were all too familiar, his pointy teeth now giving me a gut wrenching smirk as all the pieces came together. I instantly dropped the photo and marker before drawing my dao blade and flipping backwards, putting some distance between me and the man "Everyone get out of here now!" I loudly shouted to the people around me, the civilians all beginning to run off in panic 

"Is this how you treat all of your fans? No wonder I'm much more of a Garmadon fan" The large man commented with a grin before he tore off his disguise, revealing exactly who I thought it was, my father. As soon as my father revealed himself sirens all over the park began going off, warning the people that Lord Garmadon was attacking "I was really hoping to get an autograph from the Green Ninja" Garmadon pointed his Mega Weapon right at me

"Guys! My fath- I mean Lord Garmadon is here! I have him right here at the stage, come quick!" I communicated to the other Ninja using the coms device in my mask, making sure not to spill my family secret as I was surrounded by cameras and thousands of people running for their lives "I wouldn't go calling on your little friends, I have my Serpentine dealing with those other annoying Ninja" My father said, stepping closer to me as I could see Kai fighting the Hypnobrai general in the background "I think it's about time for some father and son bonding time!" Garmadon cackled before lunging towards me 

Without thinking twice I leaped over my father's pointy helmet and went straight for a kick to his back, sending the four armed warlord tumbling forwards into the wooden stage. He just had to choose today as the day to attack! Putting all of these innocent people at risk! Well I guess us Ninja have to take some accountability for that, this whole event was our idea after all....

I didn't get much time to think of who to properly blame as my father rushed right at me, better make this quick as to not risk people getting hurt. I spun into my green Spinjitzu tornado and knocked my father away from me, making sure that everyone around us had managed to get out of the park before our fight really kicked off. I jumped towards Garmadon and my sword clashed with his Mega Weapon, I put all of my strength into pushing my father back with my sword but Garmadon effortlessly pushed me back, swinging his Mega Weapon at me and striking me right in the face, knocking me into a small patch of grass 

With a groan of pain I steadied myself, even with my vision being blurry I could see my father coming right at me, unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to roll out of the way which gave my father the perfect chance to grab me with two of his arms and toss me right into the red and blue gazebo, destroying the wonderful work of whoever made it. I shook my head as I stood back up, picking up my dao blade from the ground covered in broken wood and once again focusing my vision, I hate to say it but the Green Ninja doesn't seem to be winning this fight, I've really gotta get my head in the game 

"I think this place would look a whole lot better with your stupid Ninja faces replaced with my own handsome and gorgeous face!" Lord Garmadon said to me, using his Mega Weapon to tear up a nearby Ninja Day advertisement with my masked face on it "Lord Garmadon Day! Now that has got a ring to it!" He maniacally laughed, destroying another Ninja Day poster with great pleasure 

Jumping out of the broken gazebo I managed to land a pretty good hit on Garmadon, slashing his upper torso and leaving a mark on his armour, my father not looking very pleased with the damage on his favourite armour. He loudly yelled as he swung his golden Mega Weapon at me, but using my faster reflexes I flipped over the weapon and while in the air grabbed hold of the hanging lights above my father, ripping them down and quickly spinning around Garmadon in my Spinjitzu, the string of lights being tightly wrapped around my father once I was done 

"That should keep you from ruining Ninja Day any further" I confidently spoke to Lord Garmadon with a grin under my mask "Now call off the Serpentine, you and your pet snakes have been beaten by the Secret Ninja Force for the hundredth time! The perfect end for Ninja Day!" I talked to my father with my dao blade pointed right at him, he struggled with the lights wrapped around him but kept his evil smile 

"Do you really think that these lights will hold me?! I am Lord Garmadon! Ninjago City's rightful ruler!" My father loudly shouted as he used his strength to rip the lights off his body pretty easily, I gotta admit that maybe it wasn't my best idea but it was sure worth a shot. Now free from his constraints Garmadon wasted no time in grabbing his golden Mega Weapon and swinging at me, I was able to slide under the weapon and deliver a decent kick to my father's right side before promptly spinning into my Spinjitzu

As my Spinjitzu vortex raced towards Garmadon I could just about see him spin into his own Spinjitzu, slamming into me and easily overpowering my green tornado, sending me crashing onto the ground and making several tears in my gi. Right now I think my best chance at winning this fight is getting that Mega Weapon out of his hands, especially before he gets the chance to use it

Just as I picked myself back up and began thinking of a way to get the large Mega Weapon out of my father's grasp, I could see the weapon starting to glow a bright golden colour, meaning Garmadon was getting ready to use the weapon. Having no idea what he was trying to do with it I couldn't waste any time and quickly raced towards my father, he tried to swat me away with the Mega Weapon but I gracefully avoided the attack and wrapped my own hands around the weapon, trying to pry it out of my father's hands 

But as soon as my hands made contact with the weapon my entire body was overcome by a feeling of both pain and power, every part of my body instantly became numb but also full of immense strength, I let out a blood curdling scream as I was blinded by a bright golden light, everything then turning dark as I felt myself slip out of consciousness 

"You think he'll wake up anytime soon? He looks pretty banged up" A voice seemed to speak near me, but my body didn't seem to have the strength to open its eyes "I'm sure he will, there's no way he won't wake up!" Another voice spoke close to me, my eyes and entire body continued to be unresponsive "I am certain that Lloyd will wake up, we must give him his space and he will wake up by himself" An older sounding voice was picked up by my ears 

"Well until he wakes up I'm not leaving his side!" A familiar sounding voice cried out, and I could feel what felt like a hand grab onto my own, a touch that seemed to give me the strength to finally pry my own eyes open and regain control of my no longer numb feeling body. I suddenly shot upwards with my eyes wide open, looking around to see I was lying down in the warehouse with the rest of the Ninja and Master Wu looking at me with looks of relief and shock 

Looking to my left I could see Harumi holding my hand, her face displaying nothing but happiness as she wasted no time in smothering me in an extremely tight hug "Oh thank the First Spinjitzu Master you're alright!" She joyfully said to me, decorating my face with kiss after kiss after kiss "Uhhhh yeah I'm glad to see you awake too bro, but don't think I'm doing all that" Cole commented with a chuckle

Harumi finally stopped attacking my face with her kisses and let me properly sit up, not that I wasn't enjoying her kisses but it was kind of nice being able to breathe. I spotted my reflection in a nearby mirror and saw that my iconic Green Ninja gi was torn to shreds, half of my chest being exposed and an entire sleeve missing from the gi, I really don't think my mom is gonna like me coming home like this, especially since she's the one who's gonna have to repair the suit 

"What in the world happened?" I asked the Ninja and Master Wu, not quite sure as to how I ended up in such a state "The last thing I remember was me and my father fighting in the park" I told my friends and uncle "Oh dude it was so awesome!" The enthusiastic voice of Kai shouted, hurting my ears just a little "You like totally beat your dad and sent him and the Serpentine running!" The spiky haired teen informed me with a massive smirk on his face 

"H-H-Here, take a l-l-look" Jay handed me his phone that was playing the news broadcast of what had happened between my father and I, watching the shaky footage I could see myself grab onto Garmadon's Mega Weapon which seemed to cause a massive golden light explosion to happen, sending both of us flying in different directions, the broadcast ended with the other Ninja arriving and taking me away from the park, along with the Mega Weapon wrapped up in a Ninja Day poster "Well that ummmm was certainly something" Was the only thing I could think to say after watching the footage, handing the phone back to Jay 

"It appears that you grabbing the Mega Weapon somehow managed to allow you to tap into your Golden Power, something that should not be possible until you unlock your True Potential" My uncle wisely began explaining to us "This could be because the Mega Weapon was created by combining the five Golden Weapons of Creation, weapons that are very much tied to Golden Power itself" Master Wu told the eight of us "Speaking of the Golden Weapons, now that we have the Mega Weapon are we gonna be getting our awesome weapons back? I really wanna use that cool Sword of Fire again!" Kai excitedly asked, eager to get his Golden Weapon back 

My uncle shook his head in response "It would not be wise to separate the Mega Weapon back into the five Golden Weapons, the combined powers of the Golden Weapons is too much for an attempt to be made, for now it shall remain as the Mega Weapon" Master Wu spoke to us, stroking his white beard as he looked at the Mega Weapon on a nearby table "So what are we gonna do with the weapon? Make it a fancy ornament?" Nya questioned my uncle who picked up the Ninja Day poster holding the Mega Weapon, making sure that his bare hands weren't making contact with the golden weapon 

"I shall take the Mega Weapon myself and put it somewhere for safe keeping, a place that for now only I shall know" Master Wu said to us before walking away with the weapon "Besides my father and the Serpentine attacking, this was actually a pretty good Ninja Day, and we even took my father's fancy toy away from him too" I commented as I stood up, feeling a little shaky but thanks to Harumi I didn't fall flat on my face 

"Y-Y-Yeah it ummm w-w-was actually k-kind of f-fun" Jay's stuttering voice spoke from beside the Ice Ninja who seemed to agree with what the freckled teen was saying "I bet being called cute by a load of fangirls made the day a lot better" Kai teased Jay as he swung an arm around the shorter teen's neck, ruffling his already messy hair, a blush appearing on his face as he became slightly flustered "I-I-I guess t-that was n-n-nice" The Blue Ninja chuckled nervously, anxiously rubbing his left arm 

"As long as Garmadon doesn't attack the next one, I'm already looking forward to next year's Ninja Day, especially if people bring me lots of food again" Cole's mouth looked to be watering as he remembered all the food he ate during the event "I'm totally gonna ask the mayor to set up a massive buffet for next year, every kind of food you can imagine!" Cole continued on, no doubt making himself hungry as he headed over to the kitchen area of the warehouse 

With my legs feeling more stable and the rest of my body feeling rested enough, I decided it was a good time to head home and get some proper rest in bed "I'm feeling pretty beat so I'm gonna start heading home, I'll see you guys tomorrow" I yawned out to the others "Are you certain that you are healthy enough to do so Lloyd?" Zane asked me, the Nindroid's usual large smile replaced with a look of concern 

"I'm feeling just fine Zane, I'm sure I can make it home okay" I reassured the white haired Nindroid before starting to walk out of the warehouse "I hope you're not planning on heading home looking like that" Skylor pointed out my horribly torn up suit, my mask doing very little in keeping my identity a secret "Oh right, I suppose changing first would be a good idea" I sheepishly admitted 

I quickly spun into my Spinjitzu tornado to put my casual attire atop my Ninja gi, hiding my torn up suit underneath my black jeans, white shirt and green hoodie. Checking myself out in the mirror I still looked as if I were caught in some sort of explosion, so after fixing my hair and cleaning my face a couple of times I was finally ready to head home and enjoy a well earned nap

Harumi and I shared a quick embrace and small kiss before I said my final goodbyes to the rest of the team, once outside the massive warehouse doors locked behind me, I put in my earphones and listened to the really awesome band The Fold to keep myself awake until I reached home, I'm really looking forward to face planting onto my bed but I'm sure not looking forward to what my mom has to say about my suit.......

And so with poor old Lloyd's suit being tarnished, this chapter of Ninja Life comes to a close, it sure was an exciting Ninja Day, who would have guessed that Lord Garmadon and the Serpentine was going to attack? It's not like they do that every day or anything! Things sure do seem to be getting interesting for Lloyd, could he soon be able to harness the full powers of his elemental power? Only future chapters of Ninja Life will tell!
