(Jay's POV)

"So what now?" Lord Garmadon suddenly asked, ruining the short lived silence we were all enjoying, turning our heads we looked at the uninvited passenger with extremely annoyed stares. Oh why did he have to come with us?! 

"Well I think that the first thing we should do is drop you off right back at Ouroboros!" Kai aggressively told Garmadon with his arms crossed "It's either that or we drop you into the Great Devourer's mouth so take your pick!" 

"Whoa whoa whoa calm it down there hair gel!" Garmadon addressed Kai's sudden outburst towards him "I hate to tell you this kid but I ain't going nowhere, as stated in the previous chapter I am rightfully deserving of this ship and I will not be letting a group of teenagers take it from me!" He snapped back at Kai 

P-Previous chapter?! What is he talking about?! We need to get him off the Bounty before his craziness gets to us all! 

"Even if you're next in line to inherit this ship there's no way we're gonna let you have it!" Skylor joined in on the ongoing argument "You would just use it to enact all your evil plans and as Ninjago's protecters we can't let that happen!" She shouted at Garmadon who showed no signs of giving up "You kids may be the self proclaimed protecters of Ninjago but even the greatest of heroes stand no chance against a team of totally not corrupted lawyers! Just you wait until my top notch legal team hears about this!" He threatened us with legal action, the Earth Ninja scoffed at Garmadon's threat 

"Ha! You in the court of law?! That's the funniest thing I've heard all week!" Cole laughed at the four armed warlord's attempt at intimidating us, it may not have worked on him and the others but its certainly working on me! What if Garmadon was telling the truth?! What if he really did have an elite team of lawyers ready to go?! I guess that would explain why the mayor has yet to bill Garmadon for all that damage he's done to the city.....and what if those same lawyers manage to get us locked up behind bars for taking away something Garmadon is rightfully next in line for?! I wouldn't last a single day in prison! All of the crooks we've been putting away in there will be after us right away! Oh no what if I drop the so-

Shaking my head I snapped out of my prison thoughts once I heard Garmadon's menacing voice speaking again "Oh really? Because I think that man bun of yours is the funniest thing I've ever seen in all of my 174 years!" He snapped at Cole who was about to jump right at him but Nya managed to just about hold Cole back from assaulting our possible new crewmate "Easy there macho man, those four arms of his give him a huge advantage over just your two arms" She tried to calm down the struggling Cole who eventually got out of Nya's grasp and stared down the grinning Lord Garmadon, taunting him with all four of his arms calling the Earth Ninja over for a fight  

The two powerhouses stood still on opposite sides of the Bounty's deck and looked right into each other's eyes, Garmadon sporting a smug and taunting expression while Cole's face showed nothing but anger, it was kind of hard to tell though from my current position of cowering behind Kai. Everyone was standing by waiting for one of them to make the slightest move toward the other

The moment finally came but instead of an all out brawl between Cole and Garmadon the black haired Ninja instead simply turned away from the evil warlord and muttered a "whatever" before throwing on his headphones, keeping himself calm with some music 

Honestly Cole is the last person I thought would have a stand off against Garmadon, the first person that comes to mind would have to be Kai with his often impulsive behaviour, Lloyd a very close second. I guess the sudden loss of Sensei has kind of gotten us all acting a little on edge. Especially since one of the main causes for it is currently grinning at us right now, I would be lying if I said I didn't also want to knock that stupid helmet off his smug face but I know I would just end up making a fool of himself by tripping over a loose board of wood or something even more embarrassing 

"Too afraid to fight me I see" Garmadon tried to mock Cole but the black haired Ninja's headphones blocked out the mocking words "It seems to me that the Secret Ninja Force is just a bunch of cowardly teenagers playing dress up, why am I not surprised?" He continued his aggressive mocking now targeted at us all. What is his problem?! We just saved him from being devoured by the problem that HE caused and now's insulting us on OUR ship!? 

Thankfully I wasn't alone as Harumi stepped forward to voice my thoughts without me having to risk a four armed punch to the face "You better start watching those words that come out of your mouth!" She shouted and pointed at the menacing Garmadon, all the while Lloyd just stood beside her silently "We saved you from that thing you helped unleash and none of us will feel any sort of guilt about feeding you to it if you don't behave!" Harumi finished with the blonde Ninja still remaining silent and still, just looking at his father from across the wooden deck

Garmadon being Garmadon groaned at Harumi's words with his arms being crossed, looking very unamused with the Jade Ninja's attempt at making him behave "I will say whatever I wish to say young lady! Last I checked I was the only adult aboard this ship so that means I can say whatever I wish AND I get to boss all you Ninja around too!" He told us as he tried to assert some sort of dominance over us with a foot stomping on the deck, but just like Garmadon being Garmadon us teenagers will be teenagers and rebel against whatever parental figure is present 

"You bossing us around? Yeah right!" Nya laughed at Lord Garmadon, clearly not wanting to take orders from the warlord "I would much rather let the Great Devourer eat us then have to deal with you in charge" She told him with a glare. Wow, she's so brave for talking to Lord Garmadon like this, but I'm not sure I'm exactly with her on this one, don't get me wrong she is definitely right! I don't want to take orders from Garmadon either! It's just that I think she might be.....a little dramatic, surely it wouldn't be that bad serving under Lord Garmadon right? Any option that doesn't involve being eaten by that giant snake is the best option to me....

One look at Lord Garmadon showed that he was definitely not happy with what the others were saying to him, he growled as his terrifying red eyes inspected us all, probably taking note of who to attack first, but his eyes stopped upon looking directly at me. I gulped nervously as I felt my heartbeat increase with sweat for sure beginning to drip down my forehead, things got infinitely worse once Garmadon's angered expression changed to a mischievous grinning look when he noticed my fearful state "Well what about you Blue Ninja? Care to join in on the conversation?" He asked me, his voice laced in malice and a sense of mockery 

"M-M-Me?" I stuttered, pointing at myself from behind Kai, Lord Garmadon nodded his head, unfortunately confirming that he was indeed talking about me. I really wish there was another Blue Ninja! "Of course I'm talking to you! There's no other Blue Ninja aboard the ship is there?" He talked to me in a very condescending and mocking voice, almost knowing that I wouldn't be able to properly tell him what I thought about him ordering us about 

I couldn't help but look over at the others in hopes that one of them would jump in and start yelling at Lord Garmadon for me, instead I was met with serious and somewhat encouraging nods.....oh boy. Well I guess I have to answer him by myself then......so taking a deep breath from behind Kai and trying to tell myself the most encouraging words I could think of, I slowly stepped out from behind the spiky haired teen and looked Garmadon in his bright red eyes before beginning to speak 

"W-W-Well, I-I uhhh t-t-think that ummmm uhh t-t-tha-

"HAHAHAHA!" My quiet sounding voice was easily interrupted and silenced by Lord Garmadon's cackling "Do you Ninja really think that you can stand against me?! That one can't even speak a proper sentence!" He laughed while pointing directly at me, making me instantly return to my position of hiding behind Kai, holding back tears from both Garmadon's mockery and embarrassment that I made a fool of the others as well as myself. I don't know why I thought he would listen..... 

"Alright that's it!" Nya suddenly stomped toward the still laughing Garmadon "You're getting thrown into that snake's mouth whether you agree with it or not!" She shouted before coming face to face with Lord Garmadon "Go for it little girl! I could use the workout" He snarled at the black haired Water Ninja with a grin plastered on his face

"Now now that is quite enough" A voice cut into Nya and Garmadon's yelling, standing between the two angered warriors, breaking up their fight before it even happened "I agree with you all that Lord Garmadon here isn't exactly what we would consider an ideal member of the team, but with our current situation we will be needing all the help that we can get" Zane explained to us as he kept Nya and Garmadon away from each other, finally leaving the control room and joining us on the deck 

As much as I want to disagree with him I hate to say it, Zane is completely right. There's no way we'll be able to stop the Great Devourer even with our Golden Weapons! We're going to need a little bit more brute strength if we want to either cram that giant snake back into it's hole under the ground or donate a new exhibit to the Ninjago Museum of History

Once Zane had finished talking and Nya was calmed down by Skylor, the eight of us looked at each other with looks of "Are we really about to do this?" and "Man Nya was so brave standing up to Lord Garmadon back there" okay well maybe not all of us were thinking that last one but I'm sure I wasn't the only one! 

A reluctant sigh from Lloyd filled in our silent conversation with the Green Ninja making his way over to the impatiently waiting Garmadon, he sighed again before telling his father the verdict we had reached "For the time being it looks like you'll be joining us until this problem you've caused is over" Lloyd mumbled quietly, but Lord Garmadon had no problems hearing what his son was saying and seemed to be very happy with the decision even going as far as to shake Lloyd's right hand with all of his own hands "Haha that's my boy! I knew you would put in a good word for me!" Garmadon smiled widely as Lloyd finally managed to get his hand away from his father's grasp "But you have to promise to be on your best behaviour" The blonde teen warned Garmadon

"Oh yes! Only the greatest of behaviour from me!" He promised us, most likely planning to break that promise once it's in his own interest, backstabbing us to nobody's surprise "Now dibs on Wu's room!" Garmadon shoved Lloyd out of his way and went racing inside the Bounty, the sounds of shattering tea cups and tea pots coming after. This was a terrible idea...... 

Lloyd looked down and groaned "I'm already starting to regret this...."

"At least it's only temporary until we can sort out the Great Devourer" Harumi said to the Green Ninja, rubbing his back in hopes of making him feel a little better about the whole Garmadon roommate situation "If that's the case then we better start coming up with a good plan fast so we can get rid of that four armed menace" Cole removed his headphones and joined the conversation "No offence Greenie" He quickly said to Lloyd who looked like he didn't really care, the blonde just shrugged it off 

"If we are to formulate a plan to stop the Great Devourer the first task at hand should be figuring out the creature's biggest weakness" Zane informed us as he rubbed his chin in thought "Ooh one of its weaknesses could be its massive size!" Skylor raised her hand into the air to get our attention "It can't really sneak up on us with how large it is, we'll hear it coming from miles away" 

Skylor seems to be onto something, we nodded in agreement but then looked at each other puzzled in how to use this against the Devourer "Okay how are we going to use its size against it?" Harumi asked the red headed Ninja "Zane kind of already tried something like that and it didn't really work out as well as he had hoped" She told Skylor who kind of just looked blankly at Harumi for a moment before releasing a soft laugh "I'm not really sure, usually I'm not exactly the smart one on the team" She sheepishly admitted with a slightly reddened face 

"What?! You are totally smart babe!" Kai embraced Skylor from behind as he paid her a compliment and a quick kiss on her left cheek, Nya groaned in the background at the sight "Get a room you two" She looked away from her brother and his girlfriend sharing another quick kiss, it took a lot of my strength to hold in my own chuckle upon watching Nya's reaction. Now that I think about it, if this is how she reacts to her brother being in a relationship how would she feel about us- I mean her being in a relationship! It doesn't have to be me! I never said me! Haha who said it would ever be me!? Oh Jay...... 

Cole cleared his throat and grabbed our attention "Speaking of rooms" He pointed to the Bounty's doorway, pointing at a certain warlord who looked like he was almost skipping out of the ship's interior with something in his hands, something he definitely stole from Sensei's room 

"Wow! You guys never told me you had a Sacred Flute on board!" Garmadon said as if he were a child receiving the best Christmas gift he could have ever wanted "Uhhhh because we don't really know what that is?" Kai looked extremely puzzled like the rest of us, all of us except for Zane of course "It is said that the Sacred Flutes held some sort of power over the Serpentine, supposedly being able to weaken or limit their abilities while somebody was playing one of the Sacred Flutes" The white haired Nindroid informed us before giving us a scolding look "If you all just payed a little more attention during Mr. Saunders' history class you would know a lot more about important artefacts like this Sacred Flute"

Kai groaned after hearing our history teacher's name "Ugh, thanks for reminding me that I have a 10,000 word essay I have to hand in to him next Thursday"

"You are most welcome Kai" Zane said happily, clearly not picking up on the Fire Ninja's obvious sarcasm

"If my absolutely flawless memory is continuing to be absolutely flawless I believe that this is the last remaining Sacred Flute, I should have known my stupid brother would be the one to have it" Garmadon told us as he examined the wooden flute in his hands, if it is the last one of its kind we should really get it out of Garmadon's hands before he somehow manages to break it "I remember Wu and I along with the other Elemental Masters using a couple of these to drive those dreaded Serpentine into their tombs, now those were the good old days" He seemed to reminisce with a sigh, I guess back then Lord Garmadon wasn't much of a Lord and more of an actually good person alongside Sensei 

"Wait you helped seal the Serpentine into their tombs?" Harumi asked in almost disbelief "Oh yes I did, I have to admit that it was actually quite an awkward moment when I ended up releasing them" He told Harumi "It took them awhile but they eventually forgot all about our little Serpentine War tussle" 

Zane saw this as another chance at making us pay more attention in class instead of day dreaming about Ny- I mean being totally awesome Ninja! "You would already know this information if you more closely listened to Mr. Saunders' lessons involving the Serpentine" Multiple groans went off at yet another mention of our history teacher's name, I couldn't help but nod though. I wouldn't exactly admit it but I would say that I'm a little bit of a history nerd, and I uhh guess a little bit of a nerd in general too I guess......... 

"But how is this tiny thing supposed to do anything against the Great Devourer? It's massive! There's no way the sounds from this would reach that thing's ears.........that is if the Devourer has ears of course" Skylor mumbled the last part "Hey how about I give you kids a little demo of what this bad boy sounds like? I'm sure I've still got my skills from back in the day to play this perfectly!" Garmadon praised himself before raising the large circular part of the wooden instrument up to his mouth and beginning to play the ancient artefact 

I wish I could say how the flute sounded but unfortunately I think it made me go deaf! As soon as  Lord Garmadon started playing it my ears started ringing in pain! I wasn't the only one to think so as almost everyone put their hands over their ears to try and save some hearing with the Nindroid Zane just watching us all suffer from Garmadon's terrible flute playing! 

Thankfully Lloyd managed to endure the worst of his father's musical abilities just enough to be able to swipe the Sacred Flute from Lord Garmadon with his right hand, finally stopping the devastating assault on all of our ears "I think I'll just hold onto this for now" Lloyd winced as he stuffed the wooden instrument of pain into the green sash around his waist 

"I t-t-think my ears a-are b-bleeding" I whimpered quietly to myself in fear of Garmadon not appreciating my criticism of his musical skill. Or at least I thought I was being quiet, I looked up and managed to hear Nya's giggle, with a red face I sheepishly laughed and made sure to avoid Lord Garmadon's gaze. Even with the potentially permanent ear damage from that crazy four armed warlord I can still hear Nya's angelic voice.......

A plan was certainly being formed, but whatever that plan was I could not tell you. I think I got lost around the "Alright time to make a plan" part, it's not that whoever was thinking of a plan wasn't captivating enough oh no, if anything they were too captivating. Instead of paying attention to the plan currently being made my eyes took it upon themselves to just focus on the plan maker herself, the gorgeous Water Ninja. 

I know I should really be paying attention to the important battle strategy being planned out by everyone right now but my eyes just won't let me! Maybe Garmadon's flute playing really did do something to my ears because the only thing that seems to be working right now are my eyes and somewhat my mind, but I feel like if Nya flashes me one more smile that too might short circuit. This trance seems to happen quite a lot, even if she isn't in the same room as me I'll feel myself drifting off to another plane of existence just to think about how wonderful Nya is, I should really try and limit the amount of times this happens because I've often forgotten homework or even walked right into a pole because of it 

But why would I ever want to stop thinking about Nya? She's.......amazing. It's not just her stunning appearance that grabs my attention but the way she's never afraid to step up and face someone who's in her way just like she did with Lord Garmadon, if I were the Great Devourer right now I would be slithering back into the hole I came from because I would really hate to face Nya's wraith. Especially since I can't really face Nya without becoming a stuttering blushing mess.....

"Pssst, Blue Ninja, what did the girl Ninja mean by that?" A low whispering voice asked me a question that brought me back to the reality I was currently in, looking to where the whisper came from I jumped back at the sight of seeing Lord Garmadon so close to me "Geez kid, I was just asking you question about whatever that Water Ninja was saying"

Embarrassed by my reaction to a harmless question I couldn't help but apologise to the warlord that had previously insulted me almost to tears "Ah I'm s-s-so s-sorry! I didn't m-m-mean to jump a-a-away from y-you like that Mr. L-L-Lord Garmadon S-Sir!" Wait, did I actually just call him Mr. Lord Garmadon Sir? 

"Ah it's fine kid I understand" Garmadon reassured me as he casually leaned against the Bounty's golden railing "Y-Y-You d-d-do?" I stuttered nervously, am I really that obvious!? "Yeah I totally get it, these four arms and my wickedly awesome and strong appearance  can be pretty scary for someone like you" He flexed his four arms for me. Phew, alright that's good, for a second there I thought he caught onto my daydreaming about Nya holding me in her strong arm- OKAY JAY ENOUGH NYA TALK! 

The mention of his four arms actually got me thinking, how did he ever get those four arms he loves so much in the first place? Sensei never really told us and I highly doubt that he was born with them, that would have been a nightmare for- actually never mind, that is one thing I do not want to think about. Surely he won't mind me asking him right? "H-H-Hey ummm Mr. L-Lord Garmadon S-Sir? W-W-Would it be uhh a-alright if I asked you a q-q-question about your f-f-four arms?" I asked, ready to run behind my nearest teammate 

"It's just Lord Garmadon to you kid, and sure, why not, I'm not even paying attention to whatever's happening with that plan so ask away" He replied with a sigh of relief about me keeping my face leaving my almost shaking body "Uhh okay, d-d-did you always h-h-have four arms?" I finally managed to ask him the burning question a few of us wanted to know "I was bit by a snake" He nonchalantly told me 

Wait a snake? How would that work? Snakes don't have arms! Or maybe this one did? "S-S-So the snake h-had a bunch o-of arms? A-A-Are you sure it wasn't a s-s-spider?" I asked him to which he just shook his head "Oh no it wasn't any ordinary snake, it was actually the Great Devourer back when it was much much much smaller" WAIT HE WAS BITTEN BY THE GREAT DEVOURER?!?! "T-T-T-The Great D-D-Devourer!?" I stuttered out in disbelief

"Yep, I was bitten by the Great Devourer, which was actually bitten by a spider moments before biting me. I watched the whole thing happen and it was pretty weird to be honest" Garmadon almost laughed upon telling me some of his history with the massive Serpentine we were trying to defeat "S-S-So the G-Great D-Devourer is what m-m-made y-y-you ummmm l-look like you do n-now?" 

Suddenly Lord Garmadon's face went from a laid back look to a more dramatic expression "Yes Blue Ninja you are correct, the Great Devourer bit me as a child and turned me into the warlord I am today. It's venom took years to fully corrupted me and as the years went by my skin began to rot away because of the venom coursing through my veins, before I knew it I had become a shell of the handsome man I once was and all my thoughts were consumed by evil" He eventually finished explaining to me, getting a little too close to my face which certainly made me feel a little uncomfortable. I scooted back away from Garmadon's face and couldn't help but feel kind of sorry for him, he was just a kid when he was bitten by the Devourer and was forced to end up being a ruthless warlord without having much of a choice 

I also couldn't help but let my eyes occasionally drift over to look at Nya whilst Lord Garmadon and I were having our short little conversation, and judging by the now smirking look on his no longer dramatic face Garmadon noticed "Ah so that's why you were so jumpy at the start of our talk" He laughed whilst I looked away embarrassed, how could I have let him find out?! At this rate everyone but Nya will know! "It's fine kid I don't really care to tell her, actually you remind me of me and Lloyd's mother back when we were young" 

My head instantly spun around to look at the warlord after hearing what he just said to me, there's no way that Garmadon was ever like me! "R-R-Really?" I asked with a shimmer of hope, if he managed to end up with Lloyd's mom then that must mean that me and Nya will end up together right?! "Oh no definitely not, I was just trying to be nice" He crushed all my dreams with a slap on the back "You oughta get yourself a pair of fingerless gloves kid, I hear chicks really dig those things"

"G-G-Geez, t-thanks" I muttered, but yet again I underestimated the loudness of my voice as everyone suddenly turned to look at me "What was that Jay?" Nya asked, instantly making me turn as red as Skylor's hair along with becoming incredibly flustered "I-I-I was just s-s-saying thank y-y-you for such a w-wonderful plan!" I just about managed to lie, but it looked like nobody was buying it 

"If you like it so much why don't you break it down for us?" Harumi asked me with her hands on her hips, seeing right through my lies. My mind raced to think of something that would be somewhat convincing but in the end I had to admit defeat, so with an ashamed sigh my head hung low "I-I-I-I'm sorry, I uh zoned o-o-out" I confessed, wanting to bury my face into my orange scarf 

"Well I suppose we could run through the plan just one more time" Lloyd sighed, Kai and Cole's groans being heard behind him "Alright so as Nya said our be-" 

However, the Green Ninja's voice was drowned out by a loud and sudden quake coming from beneath our barely flying ship, everyone instantly went silent upon hearing the threatening noise, even Lord Garmadon shut up. Cole cautiously peered over the golden railing to see what was causing the shaking underneath us, it couldn't be right? We lost it! R-R-Right?

The Earth Ninja was knocked onto his back when the sand under us tore apart with the Great Devourer spiralling out of the destroyed sand with a deafening roar, it's mouth wide open and the massive Serpentine's fangs finally biting into our beloved ship, almost crushing it in one bite with us all hanging on for our lives 

"Forget the plan! Abandon ship!" Lord Garmadon yelled as his four arms let go of the broken mast he was clinging onto, sending himself rapidly falling towards the ground "Uhhh h-h-he doesn't h-h-have a secret p-p-parachute d-does he? D-D-DOES H-HE?!" I shouted out in a panic, even if I don't particularly like Garmadon I really don't think my stomach could handle watching him- okay my stomach is already getting a little upset thinking about it! 

"Ugh I'll go get him!" Kai said as he and Skylor both jumped after the sky diving warlord, just as the two Ninja managed to reach Lord Garmadon Kai quickly summoned his dragon and with Skylor holding onto him tightly commanded his fiery dragon to grab our new team member with it's claws in which it did just in time to safely land on the ground with all three of them safe 

"Lloyd you're with me! Zane will take Harumi while Jay and Nya will make their own way down!" Cole yelled at us over the sound of splitting wood, I barely had any time to nod in agreement as Lloyd and Cole let go of their railing and began their free fall towards the other three safely on the ground. At the half way point of their fall Cole did the same as Kai and quickly summoned his rough looking dragon and with Lloyd hanging onto the dragon's tail the two of them landed right beside Kai, Skylor and an out of breath Garmadon 

Nodding at each other Harumi and Zane were next up and without any hesitation the both of them leaped off the Bounty, with an almost blinding bright white flash Zane summoned his icy cold dragon letting Harumi cling onto him as he masterfully flew the dragon away from the Great Devourer, landing the beast perfectly on the sand 

I looked over at Nya as my body was almost frozen stiff from fear to see her getting ready to join the others down on the ground down below, she turned her head to face me "You can do it Jay" She calmly spoke to me with an encouraging smile before shooting down after Zane and Harumi with her water dragon appearing moments after her jump from the ship 

Okay Jay no need to panic, you're just the only one left on board a currently being eaten flying ship that if you don't jump off of in time you'll end up in the belly of Ninjago's biggest Serpentine along with the said flying ship! Carefully looking down to see how far away the ground was my face became even paler than it usually was, I could barely see it! With the sound of the Devourer's fangs splitting the Bounty into pieces I didn't have much time to think of another option so with my eyes closed and multiple deep breaths being taken I yelled loudly as I finally let go of what I was holding onto and began my plummet to the ground below 

My gloved hands frantically grabbed for my Nunchucks of Lightning and they thankfully managed to form my Storm Fighter without an issue, noticing that I was no longer falling I opened my eyes and began to breath heavily as I slowly flew the jet beside the other Ninja and Garmadon with us finding refuge under a large rock that hid us from the Devourer's view 

We helplessly watched as the Great Devourer bit down on our beloved flying ship one more time, finally swallowing the Bounty with absolutely nothing but a few small parts of the ship being left behind. As the Devourer swallowed the ship my eyes widened at the sight of the monster growing even bigger after swallowing the Destiny's Bounty, thankfully the large beast didn't stick around to search for some Ninja and Garmadon dessert, instead it just sunk back into the hole it sprang out of and slithered away from us 

"Oh that was way too intense! All that action really made me thirsty!" Lord Garmadon panted as he flopped onto the sand in exhaustion "We mustn't take time to rest, our first priority should be warning people before it gets any bigger" 

"B-B-Bigger? Bigger!? That t-t-thing crushed our entire ship! W-W-We need to find s-somewhere to hide f-f-from it!" I started rambling on in a state of terror and panic, sweating like crazy "Ooh w-what about t-t-the Serpentine's t-tombs?! They're underground a-a-and away from t-that massive s-snake and I d-don't think the Serpentine will m-m-mind us using them!" I finally stopped to catch my breath, with everyone just looking at me with worry 

There was a moment of silence with multiple confused looks until Lloyd stepped forward "Sorry Jay but we're not going to do that, Sensei wouldn't let us and neither will I!" The Green Ninja told us with a serious determined look that somehow managed to calm me down a little bit, I know that if I were the Green Ninja we would all be running for those tombs right about now "Zane is right, we need to warn everybody that the Devourer is loose and out to eat anything in it's path, with the use of the Golden Weapons we should be able to do it before the Devourer can reach any sort of civilisation" 

Wait a minute, this rock we're hiding under looks a lot like the rock that's just a few miles away from.......AH! IT IS! IT'S THE ROCK THAT'S ONLY A FEW MILES AWAY FROM MY PARENTS' JUNKYARD! OH NO OH NO OH NO I HAVE TO WARN THEM FAST! QUICK QUICK QUICK I HAVE TO GET OUT MY PHO- oh wait, my parents told me they would be visiting some old friends and family in a village somewhere in the north. Huh, well that's convenient

A sigh of relief left my body as I started to calm back down, yikes that was quite the scare, I focused my attention back onto Lloyd and saw everybody looking at me with questioning looks "What was that about Jay?" Harumi asked me, referring to my sigh that I really should have kept inside my head "O-O-Oh sorry, I uhh j-j-just remembered t-that my parents a-a-are away from the J-Junkyard right n-now so I umm was just a l-l-little relieved that's all" I told Harumi and the others, I noticed Lloyd's eyes widen 

"My mom!" He suddenly shouted out, looking very panicked like I was before "Argh I have to go get her out of the city! That place is going to be like a buffet for the Devourer! Zane you're in charge until I get back with my mom! Call me and tell me where you guys are" Lloyd frantically said to the Nindroid who graciously accepted his place as our new temporary leader as our current one quickly pulled on his mask and began running as fast as he could towards the city 

"Wait for me L-Loyd! I want to save Koko too!" Lord Garmadon took off after his son to go save Lloyd's mother with him, at least that gets rid of him for now "For once I'm glad my dad is off doing another tour far away from here" Cole leaned against the large rock completely relaxed, how can he be this relaxed right now?! 

"Well I'm not as lucky as you two but I think the rest of my family can handle themselves without me running to grab them out of the city" Skylor spoke proudly about her family "Same goes for my family, my dad is one tough cookie and that snake will be slithering away from the city once he looks into it's purple eyes" Harumi chuckled 

"If we do our part then the Devourer won't even reach the city" Nya told us with the same determined look Lloyd had before running off with Garmadon "Yeah! Let's stop that overgrown snake way before it can even leave the Sea of Sand!" Kai joined his sister in pumping us up to stop the Devourer, which I won't lie was really starting to work 

Zane directed his attention away from the sibling duo and over to me "Jay, you said that your parents are currently far away from their Junkyard correct?" He asked, "Uhh y-y-yeah" I replied, why does he want to know that? 

"Excellent, then we must hurry there" He told us before summoning his Snowmobile, revving the vehicle's engine and shooting off in the direction of my parents' old and beaten Junkyard, the rest of us doing the same and following after him "Why are we going there Zane?" Skylor asked from behind Kai on his Blade Cycle

"I have come up with a plan!" 

What lovely final words from Zane to finish this chapter of Ninja Life, will the Ninja be able to enact whatever plan Zane has come up with? Will Lloyd and Garmadon be able to save Koko before the Devourer reaches the city? And will Jay get those fingerless gloves like Garmadon suggested?!
