(Harumi's POV)

"Hurry! They're getting away!" Lloyd shouted behind him, turning the corner and keeping on the trail of his father and the slimy Serpentine, it's getting pretty hard to follow them in the dark 

"Come on Zane bring that light back!" I yelled out as I chased after my boyfriend, almost running into a lamppost. I hate to admit it but I'm having some serious difficulty keeping up with Garmadon and these snakes "Ugh, is it just me or have these guys gotten a lot quicker?" Kai panted as he ran 

Kai's right, did Garmadon use that Mega Weapon to give them all super fast sneakers? With all of our Ninja training we surely would have caught them by now

"Anyone else feel like they're already out of breath?" I asked the other Ninja as I breathed heavily, ugh damn these masks! Sometimes it's very hard to breathe with them on, especially when running after insanely fast Serpentine! 

"Maybe it's just me being tired, but it really feels like all of our Ninja training has just vanished" Nya jogged beside me, stumbling after Lloyd as the four of us turned another corner in pursuit of Garmadon 

We all suddenly came to a stop, as none of us could see Garmadon or the Serpentine anywhere, argh we were too slow! At least we can finally have a moment to rest.....

"They got away" Lloyd grumbled, putting his sword onto his back and walking over to the rest of us, looking just as tired "Wait, where's Zane?" Lloyd asked, pointing out that the Nindroid wasn't even with us 

"He must be lagging behind" Nya suggested "Come on, let's go get him and head home" She said, beginning to walk back to the museum "Lagging behind? That doesn't sound like Zane" I couldn't help but say, usually he's the one at the front, I mean come on he's a Nindroid! He can't get tired! I think...

As the four of us made our way back to the museum hoping to run into Zane, I had the strangest feeling that everything was......bigger? Probably just my eyes struggling to see in the dark, now I really want to find Zane so I can actually see what's going on! The flashlights on our phones will have to do for now I suppose

We grew closer to the large yellow building of the museum and still we saw no signs of Zane, maybe he couldn't keep up so decided to just go home? Ugh, it's too late for all these questions! Where are you Zane?! Usually you're the smart one but right now you're not quite acting like it! 

"Hey guys! Check this out!" Kai snickered as he stood in front of a cracked mirror leaning against the alleyway, gesturing for us all to come look at the thrown out junk "It's like one of those mirrors at a funhouse!" He laughed as the rest of us looked at the mirror, gazing at our funny looking reflections

"We all look so small" I giggled, becoming slightly embarrassed by how high my voice sounded, thankfully I don't think any of the others noticed. Kai moved around to try and make himself look even weirder in the mirror but his reflection stayed short "Aw man, I wanted to see myself all tall and wide" He groaned in disappointment 

Nya playfully punched her brother in the arm with a laugh "Don't worry bro, with a little more hair gel you can be as tall as you want" 

"Okay I think that's enough looking at mirrors" Lloyd told us, I could tell he was suppressing a laugh under his mask "We've really got to focus on finding Zane" My boyfriend said as he continued towards the museum

"Uh can we maybe take a moment to rest first?" I bashfully asked my boyfriend "That chase really tired my legs out" I told Lloyd while trying to give him my best puppy dog eyes, but with all the sweat underneath my mask it probably looked like I was crying 

After looking at me with his arms crossed, he let out a sigh and finally gave into my cuteness, or my ugly crying "Fine, we can take a few minutes to rest" Lloyd said to us, I know that he wanted a break just as much as we do "Nobody should be able to see us here, so it's safe to unmask"

We all let out sighs of relief and dropped to the ground, feeling our bodies loosen up and relax with our breathing, I'm so exhausted I don't even care about how dirty this alleyway is! Actually maybe I do, now I wish I brought a picnic blanket or something to sit on....

I was the first to unmask myself, practically ripping it off as I finally got to breathe fresh air again after chasing the Serpentine, well, almost fresh air, we were still sitting in a grungy alleyway in one of the worst areas of the city. Fixing my perfect white hair I couldn't help but notice that everyone was staring at me with pretty shocked looks, either they completely agree about my perfect hair or something disgusting is on my face

"What? Is there something on my face?" I asked in a state of panic, frantically taking my phone out and looking at myself in the front camera, only to let out a loud scream before almost dropping my phone in shock "W-W-Why do I look 10 years y-younger?!" I struggled to yell, unable to comprehend what in the world was going on! 

"Okay so it isn't just my tired eyes seeing this" Nya stated in surprise, rubbing her wide eyes before unmasking herself too, revealing that she too looked incredibly different. Her iconic ponytail gone and her hair now much shorter in a bob cut 

Kai loudly gasped upon seeing his sister's much younger look "Nya! You look just like when you were five years old!" He pointed out, taking off his mask to properly look at his sister, showing us that he suffered the same fate as Nya and I. The scar that was usually over his right eye had vanished but that same old white bandage was still on the top left of his forehead. But most shockingly of all was the one thing Kai loved more than anything and anyone, his hair. His once tall and proud hair was no more, replaced with a mess of short spiky hair, barely any gel in sight 

"And you look just like when you were seven!" Nya shouted back at her brother, making Kai rush back over to the cracked mirror and look at himself, waking up half the block with his loud scream "M-M-MY HAIR! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BEAUTIFUL HAIR?!"

After seeing how Kai reacted to becoming ten years younger Nya and I's heads snapped towards my boyfriend, wondering if he had suffered the same fate as the three of us. Already knowing what we wanted to see, Lloyd reached up to his face and removed his black and green mask, Nya and I couldn't help but snicker at the sight before us

"You have a bowl cut!" I burst into laughter with Nya, with her brother joining in once he saw someone with even worse hair than his own, all Lloyd did was let out a groan and put his mask back on "Ugh, I forgot that my mom used to cut my hair when I was six" He mumbled beneath his mask as he wandered off, probably trying to distract himself from his terrible haircut by searching for Zane 

"Now that we've laughed at both my brother's and Lloyd's hair, what are we gonna do?" Nya asked, all I could do was shrug my shoulders as I had absolutely no clue as to how we even ended up like this, if only Zane didn't disappear, he would totally figure out what to do 

"Better question is how did this happen to my glorious hair and how do I fix it?!" Kai shrieked, trying to style his hair back to normal with his hands, only to end up making it worse "Nobody can see me like this!" He hissed before throwing back on his mask "If I had to bet I would say it has something to do with that fancy weapon of Garmadon's" Nya brought up "We did kind of interrupt his little spell so maybe it rubbed off on us?"

"Hey uh guys? I think I found Zane" Lloyd suddenly spoke as he walked over to us, making the three of us gasp at what he had found 

"Alright, I've sent a text to my dad saying I'll be staying at a friend's place for a bit, hopefully that'll be enough time to fix this aging fiasco" I said to the other Ninja as we took refuge in Lloyd's apartment, all enjoying the cookies Koko had given us 

"Well I don't think you need to fix anything, you all look adorable!" Koko happily told us as she smothered Lloyd in a tight hug, the rest of us chuckling at his predicament "B-B-But Mom we're Ninja! W-We can't protect the city if we're l-l-like this!" Lloyd could barely gasp out as Koko's tight grasp continued, much to our dismay she did eventually let her son free 

"At least let me get a quick picture of my sweet little Green Ninja" Lloyd's mom cheerfully said before quickly grabbing her phone and snapping a photo of Lloyd, looking quite shocked by the large flash from Koko's flower covered phone

I might have to ask Koko for that photo later, her son does indeed look adorable, even with his terrible bowl cut. It somewhat adds to the cuteness in a way, gives him a more innocent look

*KNOCK KNOCK*

"Oh great, that must be the other three" Kai mumbled as Koko left to answer the apartment door, just in case it wasn't Jay, Cole and Skylor "Really not looking forward to more teasing about my once wonderful hair, I hate for Sky to see me like this" He groaned with his higher pitch voice 

Looking over at the black door that led into the apartment, with Koko in the way I could barely see the familiar outfits of Jay, Skylor and Cole as they walked in, damn these short legs! Koko motioned for the three of them to join us, with Kai, Lloyd, Nya and I all dreading the responses we were going to get. We didn't exactly tell them what Garmadon did, it was just too embarrassing at the time and right now it's even more embarrassing! 

As soon as the other three Ninja saw us they all froze in shock, their mouths slightly open, with their eyes darting between the four of us "Well I'll just let you all do your Ninja business in private" Koko told us before leaving the living room 

"Huh, so this is what Garmadon did" Cole was the first to speak, his bushy eyebrows raised and looking pretty surprised, but his usual smug grin soon returned "Well if it isn't the mighty Green Ninja, now pint-sized and sporting a bowl cut" He chuckled while bending down to ruffle the younger Lloyd's hair

Kai tried to avoid Skylor's gaze as the redhead walked over to the much smaller Kai, sitting beside him on the couch "Well this is certainly a surprise" Skylor spoke to Kai who continued to avoid eye contact "I'm sorry you have to see me like this, without my wonderful hair I am no longer the same Kai you love" The surprisingly smart sounding Kai said to Skylor, when it comes to his hair that brain of his finally wakes up 

"Oh don't be silly Kai, I don't care about your hair" Skylor gave her boyfriend a warm smile "It sure is magnificent, but I really love the Ninja underneath the hair, no matter what shape it takes" She finished telling Kai "Really? Because I thought my hair was my best quality" Kai smirked as he ran a hand through his brown hair, getting a giggle out of his girlfriend 

"H-Hey umm, w-what about Z-Zane?" Jay suddenly piped up, looking around the small apartment for the Ice Ninja "Where is h-he? Did he become y-y-younger too? I'm not quite s-sure how that would a-actually work..." He nervously chuckled, fiddling with his orange scarf 

Lloyd, Nya, Kai and I looked at each other with concerned looks before nodding, the others deserve to know what happened to him, I think they can all handle it. Without saying a word, Lloyd reached behind him before presenting to Jay the blueprints of Zane

*THUNK*

Judging by the fact that Jay just fainted, not all of them could handle it

After waiting a little while for Jay to wake up, we explained everything that happened to the other Ninja "And maybe Zane wouldn't have become a set of blueprints if everyone had shown up!' Nya threw a little shade at the other three with her arms crossed, she's pretty upset that in her younger state she can no longer drive her motorcycle

"Hey don't look at me, I already told you guys that I had a late shift at the noodle house" Skylor defended herself with her hands in front of her, clearing her of any blame 

"Okay you're off the hook, but what about you two?" Nya asked with a stern look as she pointed at Jay and Cole "What was so important that you couldn't help out? And don't think fainting will get you out of this one Jay!" She shouted up at Jay, the auburn haired teen hiding behind Cole with a frightened chuckle, he seems more afraid of child Nya than the regular Nya 

"Well I was too busy jamming out" Cole told us, pretending to DJ "With my awesome mix playing at full volume on my headphones, I just didn't hear the alert" The shaggy haired teen shrugged, stepping out of the way so Jay could explain himself 

"Ummm, and I-I-I uhhh k-k-kinda slept through the uhh a-alarm...." Jay sheepishly admitted, looking down at the ground as he rubbed his arm in embarrassment, I can't say I'm really surprised 

With everyone's reasons for not showing up out of the way, the seven of us sat down and began brainstorming on how to revert this aging spell, we were getting nowhere until Lloyd stood up with a snap of his fingers "I've got it! Let's just go to Master Wu!" He said to us, how did we not think of that? "Surely he'll know what to do!" 

"That seems like our only option" Skylor agreed with the much shorter Lloyd "Not sure if he'll know what to do with Zane though" She brought up, reminding us of the pair of blueprints on the table, feels kind of wrong to just have him laying around like that, those blueprints used to be our friend 

"Eh, if Master Wu can't help with Zane then we can just use the blueprints to rebuild him, no biggie" Kai casually stated, everyone snapping their heads to look at the Fire Ninja with offended looks "What? I think it's a good idea!"

"T-That umm d-d-doesn't quite feel r-r-right" Jay stuttered "I-I-If we were to uhhh r-rebuild Zane with t-t-those umm b-bluepri-

"Okay we can have a conversation about the complexities of Nindroid identity later" I abruptly cut the nerdy Lightning Ninja off "Can we just focus on the aging spell? Right now I really wanna go back to normal, being like this is humiliating!"

My frustrated outburst seemed to get everyone on board. Skylor, Jay and Cole quickly spun into Spinjitzu to change out of their casual outfits and into their matching Ninja gi, with the seven of us fully suited up, we carefully snuck out of Lloyd's apartment and headed towards the warehouse where hopefully Master Wu could fix this aging problem 

Yikes, poor Zane, being turned back into blueprints is way worse than just becoming 10 years younger. How will the Ninja revert the aging spell? Will Kai's hair ever recover from such a tragic event? And will the complexities of Nindroid identity be discussed? Unfortunately you'll have to wait for the next chapter to see if these questions are answered
