Emma's 'Gift'

Disclaimer: I don't own Ninjago, just the story and my OC's.

Important message at the bottom!!!

"Justin!  Justin!  Wake up!  Justin!"

Justin slowly opened his and saw his girlfriend's worried expression.  She sighed in relief.   "Thank goodness."

"Rosie?"  He sat up and looked around.  The rest of the team was huddled around him and he was slightly confused until the memories of what had happened came flooding back.  "Where's Alex?"

"We don't know," Juliet said.  "We all just woke up still on the roof.  She knocked us all out and left us here.  I worked with Mason to turn Rosie back on and then she turned Felix back on."

"It would've been a lot easier if you were conscious at the time," Mason commented.

"You just have to flip the on switch," Justin said.

"But we didn't know where it was.  You're the one who's good with tech."

Mason and Zeke went to each side of Justin to help him stand up.  "Thanks," he said.

"So, what do we do now?" Harper asked.  "Our leader is missing and our second-in-command just attacked us!"

Justin saw the person that he saw when the fight had first started.  Whoever they are, they're still watching the team.  "Head back to the monastery," he instructed.  "There's something I need to check out."

"You got it, Justin," Mason said.

"Please be careful," Rosie said.  "Don't do anything stupid."

"When have I ever done anything stupid?" Justin asked and Rosie gave him a 'Really?!' look.  "Yeah.  Don't answer that."

Justin started chasing the person he saw while Mason led the rest of the team back to the monastery.

When the team got back to the monastery, the entered with their heads hung low.  They were defeated, badly.  They never expected one of their own to turn on them and it had caught them all of guard.

"What happened?" Cole asked as the team entered the kitchen.  All of the parents were in the kitchen and noticed the defeated look on their kids' faces.  No one answered.  Cole walked up to his son and put a hand on his shoulder.  "What happened?"

Mason took a deep, shaky breath.  "Alex attacked us," he said.

The other parents were all shocked.

"Alex wouldn't do that!" Jay yelled.

"She wouldn't do that!" Nya echoed.

"We never expected it to happen, but it did," Juliet interjected.  "She attacked us."

Jay and Nya still couldn't believe that Alex would do such a thing, but they noticed that there was someone else missing.  "Where's Justin?" Nya asked.

"He said there was something that he needed to check out," Rosie spoke up.

Meanwhile, Justin was still chasing the person that he saw.  They were wearing a hood, so he couldn't tell who it was.  He already chased whoever it is to Ninjago High School.  "STOP RIGHT THERE!!!" he yelled as they entered the hallway.  The person just kept running.  Justin used his lightning speed to get in front of the person and cut them off.  "Not so fast," he smirked and pulled the hood off.  Who he saw was, honestly, not really much of a surprise to him.  "Emma!  Ha!  I knew there was something I didn't like about you."

"You caught me," Emma said and put her hands up in a mock surrender.  "Now what, blue ninja?"

"What did you do to Alex and Max?"

"What could you possibly mean?" Emma smirked.

"What did you do?!"

"You don't think you're the only people with special powers, do you?"

Justin was confused by the question.  "Well, I know there's other elemental masters and the Oni and people with magic-"

Emma cut him off.  "Trust me.  There are more.  I can manipulate emotions, but they have to already be feeling whatever emotion I want to manipulate.  I can make those emotions stronger and project them onto anyone or anything."

"You used your power on Alex and Max," Justin realized.

"Yes.  In order to get Max to kiss me, I had to make him talk about Alex.  He really loves her.  That also made them both vulnerable to my powers.  With Max so upset, it was easy to convince him to run away.  Then, at the party, Alex was angry about the whole thing which made it easy to get her drunk and make her dark side come out.  The closer I am to someone and the longer I'm with them, the stronger the effect my power has and the more hold I get over the person."

"You got Max alone when you got him to kiss you...and you became friends with Alex and got her alone at the party."  Justin was starting to get mad about everything Emma did to them.

Emma took notice.  "Good.  Get mad.  My master will be pleased if I could turn both the twins."

Justin took a few deep, calming breaths.  "No," he deadpanned.

Emma couldn't believe that Justin was starting to resist her.  "What do you mean no?"

"I mean, I will not let you manipulate me."

"No one has ever resisted my power like this before!"

"I guess I'm just more stubborn than anyone else you've dealt with."  Justin took a few steps back as a massive headache started forming.

Emma also noticed that.  "You know, resisting me can cause pain.  Just let go."

"Never," Justin growled and continued to back up, remembering what she said about her powers being stronger the closer she is.  Although, his head was still pounding.

"You and your team will lose.  You're already two members down."

"My parents and their team did the impossible.  We can too."

Emma laughed.  "I don't think so.  My master knows all the tricks your parents used."

That statement peaked Justin's interest.  "And who is this master of yours?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?"

"I would.  That's why I asked."

"I'm not telling."

"You won't get away with this."

"That's the beauty of it.  I already have."

Justin got out of there and his headache started feeling a little better as soon as he got away from Emma.  He went back to the monastery.  He still had a headache, but it wasn't as bad.  When he got back, everyone immediately noticed and stood up to figure out what he had been doing.

"Justin, are you alright?" Rosie asked.

"Yeah," he responded.  "Just let me sit down and I'll tell you what happened."

They all moved out of the way to let Justin sit down on the couch.  He told them what happened and his conversation with Emma.

"I can't believe this," Juliet said.  "She tricked us."

"But Justin's instincts about her were dead on from the beginning," Mason said.

"She's been trying to divide us," Harper said.

"And she has a master who apparently knows you guys," Zeke added, gesturing to their parents.

"Do you have any idea who it could be?" Felix asked.

"Not sure," Lloyd said.  "We've dealt with so many villains before that it could be any one of them."

"Whoever it is will be no match for you guys," Kai said, but the team didn't seem very enthusiastic.

"How's your headache?" Nya asked her son.

"It feels better now that I got far away from Emma," Justin replied.

"Why don't all of you go to bed?  It's getting late and you need your rest.  You can come up with a plan in the morning."

The team all went to their rooms and left the parents in the living room.

"Someone from our past is coming after our kids!" Cole exclaimed.

"You really have no idea who it could be," Seliel said.

"It could be any villain we faced who's still at large," Jay said.  "Pythor, Clouse, Nadakhan, the Time Twins-"

"We really have all those villains that we haven't locked up?" Cole asked.  Jay nodded.

"Whoever this Emma girl's master is, the kids will have to be ready," Lloyd said.

A/N: I hope you enjoyed!  Emma's 'gift' has been revealed.

Important message time!

First, I will be starting a Ninjago High School AU.  I'm working on the first chapter and I will hopefully post it soon.

Second, I currently have 39 followers (Thank you to everyone who currently follows me) and I want to get to 50.  If I get 50 followers, there's another book that I have an idea for with a returning villain that I'll start writing.

I really appreciate the people who have been reading this story, so thank you so much and again, I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
