Lloyd sighed as he reclined in his chair. He watched his old friends drink the refreshments he had Thomas pour for them and catch up with each other.

"Thomas seems like a nice boy." Nya smiled, turning to Lloyd. "He's very sweet. Beautiful eyes, too."

Lloyd chuckled softly. "His eyes seem to be what everyone notices most. When I adopted him, I knew there was something special about him; he harnesses the same elemental powers as me. Perhaps that's why his eyes are so unusual." He looked down. "I started training him immediately. That's why I brought your kids here to train as well, you know, just in case they have your guys' powers too."

The other ninja nodded solemnly and returned to talking with one another.

Zane sighed and looked at his glass. "I hope Micro does no harm to the others. He is a bit... Violent..."

Jay refilled his glass. "I noticed. Why's he like that anyways?" Nya punched his arm discreetly.

Zane shrugged. "...Perhaps we sheltered him too much. But he is a delicate experiment, and he is still weak. His mainframe could be easily hacked at any moment; we had to keep him inside Borg Industries, run multiple tests on him..." He looked down. "There are times I worry we ruined his life..."

Cole put a hand on his shoulder. "He's going to be fine here, frosty. Don't worry."

Kai leaned back. "Cole, your daughter... She's a singer or something, right?"

Cole nodded. "Singer, actress, and dancer. She's an excellent chef too. Hopefully she'll be as good as I was, ninja-wise. I'm proud of her... Sometimes her vanity can get a little out of hand though... Maybe it's my fault for spoiling her so much."

Nya smiled. "I'm sure she'll be an asset to the team, Cole. You shouldn't worry." She then smiled proudly. "Edward is a varsity swimmer, top of the team by a long shot. He talks a lot, however, just like his father." She nudged Jay, who rolled his eyes and smiled. "I hope he won't be too much of a nuisance." Nya mumbled.

"Amy's real quiet." Jay sighed. "It's hard to get stuff out of her. She hides her feelings a lot too. Sometimes I'm scared she'll hide too much one day..."

"Ebony's real aggressive. She can be moody and headstrong, too." Kai sighed. "But she does have a good heart. Very dedicated and passionate."

Lloyd listened to his friends talking about the positive and negative qualities of their children. It made him feel embarrassed, thinking that Thomas was the image of perfection, a perfect child with no flaws. It also made him feel ashamed; he knew next to nothing about any of Thomas' negative qualities. Practically all he knew was that Thomas was powerful, obedient, and important.

Lloyd cleared his throat. "Thomas is... Quiet. But he's very obedient... He knows right from wrong... He's a gentleman... Uh, he reads a lot..."

The other ninja nodded and smiled politely. "That's wonderful." Zane smiled.

Lloyd chuckled nervously before looking down. He really didn't know anything about his son.
