The Emerald Monastery
Micro stomped up the multitude of stairs to the giant green and silver monastery on the mountain, angrily listening to music. First of all his parents tell him he's going to become an ice ninja or some shit, and now he had to walk up these stupid ass stairs.
He looked down at the tiny world below. At least he wasn't stuck at home anymore...
He smiled a little, but then he quickly scowled again. He couldn't let his parents know he was at least a little bit happy for a change.
Ebony grumbled as she walked next to Edward. They were almost to the top, and their parents had eagerly dashed all the way to the top and made it through the gates already. Amaya absentmindedly read as she walked a couple steps ahead of them.
"Hey Ebony, how much longer you think we got?" Edward huffed, crossing his arms and looking up.
"Shut up." Ebony growled. "You'll have more energy if you shut your goddamn mouth..."
Edward rolled his eyes and caught up to his sister to talk to her instead.
Nicolette sighed and looked up, trying to spot her father. They had arrived late, due to a bitchy client, and Nicolette was stuck at the bottom of the millions of stairs.
Her father had done the unthinkable; he mountain climbed all the way to the top and went through the the gates in a matter of seconds!
Nicolette complained on her phone to her friends. "I know, it's stupid! My dad's taking me... on a dumb trip!" She remembered she couldn't tell anyone where she was going. "Hopefully I'm only gone for a year... Yeah, well I gotta go. I'm telling you, this shit is stupid. I bet I won't even have service. Talk to you later, if I can.."
Micro couldn't find his parents past the gate. All he saw was a scenic courtyard in the center of the massive monastery. He marveled at the dark green vines growing on the black and silver walls, the emerald columns shining brightly, black and silver dragons painted on them. He was automatically inspired by this place, and wanted to get inside and draw already.
He was so focused on the scenery that he automatically bumped into someone a few inches taller than him.
"Ow.. Fuck, dude..." Micro muttered, looking up.
There stood a handsome guy holding a book in his hand, practically shimmering in the sun. His eyes glowed an almost unnatural green behind his thick wire-rimmed glasses (these things were seriously glowing, like toxic waste). His dark hair was slicked back professionally and he was wearing something only a ninja would wear...
... So my old man was right. I am becoming a ninja...
The boy shrank back instantly "Oh.. Oh dear, I didn't mean to... M-My apologies..." If it wasn't for his idiotic stuttering and dumb-ass slouching, Micro would have instantly fallen for him from that British accent. Those stupid glasses turned him off too.
The boy cleared his throat. "My name is Thomas Garmadon. You must be Micro Roberts, Zane and Pixal's son..." He held out his free hand formally.
Micro rolled his eyes and hesitated before he shook it. He hated touching hands with people; they always complained about-
"Gosh! Strong grip you've got there!" Thomas let out a dorky laugh and his glasses slipped off his nose. "And your hands are so cold..."
Micro ripped his hand away. "Well, fuck! It's almost like I'm a robot or something!" He stormed past him and sat down on a bench near one of the waterfalls.
He isn't like his parents at all... Thomas bit his lip and stormed off to his room to read.
He hated this whole plan in the first place. He hated the fact that he had to meet new people and make friends with them, become their teammate. Problem was, he didn't want to be apart of a team...
It was only supposed to be him saving the world, alone, after all.
