Reflection
Lloyd clapped his hands after everyone was finished with dinner and grinned. "That was an amazing dinner, Zane. I've missed your cooking, I'll have to admit." He chuckled.
Zane smiled proudly. "Thank you, Lloyd. I've missed cooking for all of you... and my precious pink apron."
As their parents laughed over the old memory, the next generation turned to Micro in confusion.
Micro huffed and raised his eyebrows. "It's not complicated, guys. He was a badass ninja warrior that also liked to wear frilly pink aprons when cooking. Doesn't take a genius."
"Uh, correction, Zane still is a badass ninja warrior." Jay smirked. "We all are, in fact. Ninja 'til death, yo!"
Edward groaned. "Dad, please don't refer to us as 'yo' ever again."
Nya laughed. "I'll have to side with Eddy on this one, Jay."
Jay rolled his eyes. "I bet everyone else thought that was cool."
Cole snorted. "No, no we did not." He patted Jay's shoulder. "But I am glad to know that you haven't changed a bit, Mr. Walker."
"I don't think any of us have." Kai added. "Eh, well, except for Sensei Lloyd over here. How cool is that?"
Lloyd chuckled and turned to the kids. "How about you all split off into your pairs and reflect on what you've learned. Us old people'll leave you kids alone."
Thomas nodded and moved the others into different rooms. He patted Amy's back and motioned for her to follow him into the garden.
Nicolette and Micro walked into the living room, closing the door behind them. Nicolette walked around the room and fluffed some pillows while Mike slumped onto the sofa.
Nicolette gracefully seated herself next to him and batted her lashes. "So~"
"So."
"You and Tommy?"
Micro sighed heavily and looked her in the eyes. "Nick, I need to be honest with you. Can I trust you?"
Nicolette crossed her heart. "Whatever happens will not leave this room."
Micro nodded and looked down at his lap. He smiled slowly and laughed lightheartedly. "Nick... I'm in love. From the day I bumped into Thomas, I fell in love. Sparks flew. Angels sang in a choir." He blushed and giggled, covering his face.
Nicolette squealed in delight. "That's so... adorable! Right out of a fairy tale!"
Micro attempted to cover up his bliss, but for once, he couldn't wipe the giant smile off of his face. "My god, Nick, I love him so much... he makes me feel so warm and happy inside. He makes me want to get out of bed just to see his face... to hear his voice.." He giggled again, covering his mouth.
Nicolette smirked. "I'm sorry, am I still talking to the grumpy, filled-with-hate Micro? Because he's just been replaced with giggly, lovey-dovey Micro. And let me tell you, this one's a lot more pleasant to be around with."
Mike laughed and pushed her. "Shut up." He cleared his throat and smiled softly. "Alright, so now that the big secret's out, we have to talk about what's been going on. Powers-wise, not your weird love-triangle thing."
Nicolette sighed and nodded. "Right, yeah."
She sighed and glanced at the ceiling. "Y'know, sometimes it's hard to remember we're the new protectors of Ninjago, and not normal kids with crushes anymore. I wonder if our parents ever felt that way."
Mike looked away and clicked his tongue. "Honestly? I doubt it. They sound like... they liked it so much. I wish I could try to feel the same way, just for them."
"Yeah. Me too."
