Nicolette sashayed over to her father and kissed his cheek. "Good morning, daddy."

Cole smiled, hugging her. "Hey, little princess. You making breakfast again?"

Nicolette nodded, smiling. She was the chef in their household, since her mother was always away on business trips and her father couldn't cook for shit. "Bacon and eggs, probably.  Nothin' too fancy." She rummaged around for a skillet before starting to cook.

Cole hummed gently. "Sounds good... Hold on, I'm getting a call, it's probably your mother..." He left the room, picking up his phone.

Nicolette sighed and after a while she finished cooking. She set breakfast down and listened to her father still talking, who sounded stressed on the phone. Either one of his clients was making an excuse to not perform, or her mother was nagging him again.

Wait a minute. She listened harder.

"What? Lloyd, are you stupid? My prin- Nicolette doesn't know a single thing about fighting! Besides, I can't have her away from school! She's a star student, she's popular, hell, I think she has a boyfriend! And you want her to train with you?"

Nicolette gripped the wall, her stomach churning. What on earth is daddy talking about? She thought. I don't even have a boyfriend...

"...You just don't give up, do you? Fine, I'll... I'll bring her over to the monastery if you want... But it's her decision, just to let you know. Whatever my princess wants..."

My princess gets.. Nicolette finished for him, smiling to herself. You could call her a spoiled little diva, but Nicolette was extremely famous in Ninjago, well known for dancing and singing. No one would dare argue with her.

"See you soon, I guess.." Her father ended the call and Nicolette dashed away before he could notice she was eavesdropping.

Cole grumbled and scarfed down the breakfast, turning to his daughter. "Pack a bag for a couple nights... We're going to a monastery to train you to become a ninja or something..."

Nicolette nearly choked on her eggs, laughing. "A ninja? Daddy, that's the stupidest thing that's ever come out of your mouth. There's no such thing as ninja..."

Cole raised a bushy brow at her. Nicolette swallowed. Perhaps he wasn't kidding...
