(Y/N) POV

Macy and I were watching Ava looking for Jestro's traces, when the guys approached us.

"Hmm...I can't track the signal of forbidden powers, but I am detecting a strange atmospheric current sweeping across the kingdom,"- Ava informed.

- Who cares about the weather? Let's focus on Clay.- Axl said.

"Now it's...a difficult situation, but Clay's not gone, he's locked in his body, so let's act as if he's still with us." -Merlok said.

- What?! How is it possible?! We have no commander, no successes, no plan! We have to do something! -Macy hollers angrily.

"You're right Macy...so it's time for your new commanders to reveal themselves. -Merlok informed.

I tensed at that and looked at Aaron with a worried look, which he returned.

- Yes! I deserved it, because...who else? -Lance asked proudly.

Merlok cleared his throat and straightened.

- Come on, brave knights!

,, Knights? Wait a minute, does he think that I... am a knight from now on?!'' - I asked myself in my mind.

Aaron and I looked at each other once more before we stepped forward. Others gasped in disbelief.

- What? (Y/N), Aaron?- Macy asked, surprised.

Aaron shrugged, smiling.

- Together with Clay we prepared (Y/N) and Aaron for leadership. Aaron is brave and resourceful, but commanding knights is new to him. He can think outside the box... and nothing is impossible for him. (Y/N) is calm on the battlefield, not emotional and has her leadership skills and we thought, they would complement each other well.

- It's not fair. -Macy complained.

- I agree with you, sister.- Lance said.

- Macy, you are brave and fair, but as heir to the throne you cannot risk your life commanding at the front.- Merlok said to her.

- I can command. - she resisted.

- And it will be useful to you someday, maybe not among the Nexo Knights, but you will rule the whole kingdom. -I said to her.

- Chill Macy, I think we should give Aaron i (Y/N) a chance. -Axl said.

-Until Clay returns, Aaron and (Y/N) are best placed to lead.- Merlok said.

"Okay, let's give them a chance. - Lance agreed.

- Commanding you is the greatest challenge in my life ... but I promise you, that we will rise to the occasion. -Aaron promised, as we looked at each other.

Suddenly we heard an alarm.

- Hey hey hey! It's a Monstrox cloud, but it's bigger and it's headed straight for one of the cities.- Ava informed.

"Okay knights to the vehicles, we're going there and defending the kingdom. -Aaron ordered, hopping onto the shield.

3rd person POV

The Knights left Fortrex in their vehicles a (Y/N) on her elemental dragon. The Cloud of Monstrox was attacking the village and it's residents with fiery lightning bolts, that spread a great fire. The defenders stood on the hill watching the chaotic cloud.

- The cloud is responsible for this mess.- said (Y/N).

- But how do you stop her? -Axl asked.

- ... I have no idea, but you have to come up with something. It's best to observe his power for a moment, maybe it has a weak point? -the yellow ninja asked.

- Maybe.- Aaron agreed.

Behind the knights the laughter of the jester could be heard, as well as the shouts and screams of the stone monsters.

- Jestro wants to attack us from behind. We have to fight. -Axl said.

"Jestro attacks Knighton ... again.- Macy said.

- Yes, but why? I know they have a plan, but what is their purpose? -Aaron asked.

- Knowing Jestro ... complete demolition. - Macy said. 

- He wants to set fire to the whole kingdom! -Lance worried.

- Axl and Lance, you fight on the ground and defend the people. Me and Macy will focus on the cloud. (Y/N) you put out the flames. -Aaron ordered.

Everyone agreed. The dragon (Y/N) grabbed the water from the city fountain and started putting out the great flames. Axl and Lance fought off the monsters while Macy and Aaron tried to fight the cloud.

= Skip time =

After extinguishing the flames (Y/N) followed the cloud and the knights, extinguishing another fire along the way with ice. Soon she reached a place, where there was a great wall of fire, that blocked Axl and Lance's ride, the dragon used the power of the earth and extinguished it.

- Where are Aaron and Macy? -she asked.

"They followed the cloud, that is flying Knighton.- Lance said.

She looked ahead, seeing the path of fire everywhere.

- So what are you waiting for? Go ahead, and I'll put this hell out.- she said and got to work.

They agreed and left.

= Skip time =

Before the walls of the castle, already prepared for battle, there was a huge horde of Jestro monsters with a hellish cloud. Aaron tried to attack Cloud, but it did not and it destroy his jet, Macy caught it and mounted it in the armor. 

The cloud was not idle and revived two great stone monuments representing a king that attacked the inner defenses of the castle. The stone monsters' reinforcements hit the two knights when Lance and Axl rode on them. The gargoyles picked up the smaller monsters and flew over the wall.

- They are over the wall! -Macy shouted.

- Axl, Lance! Stay here and guard the gates. Me and Macy are gonna try to stop them beyond the wall.- Aaron ordered.

- Hey, where is Buttercup? -he asked.

- She...-  Lance began.

- I'm here! - (Y/N) called, flying to Macy's mech.

 - It's nice that you finally came. - Lance said sarcastically.

- I'm glad it was for that very reason... but no matter, I know what the cloud is up to. I figured it out, when I was putting out the flames. The Three Brothers took a sword-shaped pendrive and the cloud has the power of burning flames so... he wants to destroy the deep memory of Merlok, which is in the library in the castle. - she informed.

- It makes sense.- Macy said.

- Okay, but enough of a chat, let's defend this kingdom ... again.- the yellow ninja said.

They agreed and started the attack. Three knights... I mean two knights and a ninja, began to hit and destroy monsters in full force, including Merlok, which, thanks to the Minitrex, is headed to the library. Macy, with the help of a club, which was on the tail of the dragon mech, gracefully hits the monsters and had a lot of fun at the same time.

"Wow... why isn't she in charge?- Aaron asked himself.

= Skip time =

Merlok and Robin got to the library. The boy connected the cable to the machine on which Merlok was located to transfer the memory. Unfortunately the cloud, that blew up the roof of the library prevented them from achieving success and laughed ominously. Everyone (Aaron, Robin, and Ava.) was preventing the wizard from making backups and fighting the cloud at the same time. 

Although now almost everyone asked the old man for powers (except Macy and (Y/N)). Aaron kept asking for nexo power, but Merlok warned him it was dangerous, until the yellow ninja arrived and used his power to repel the cloud. 

Monstrox looked suprised for a moment, tried to defeat the ninja, but he couldn't. He feel... magic... powerful magic, almost like Merlok from her. The girl repelled his lightning bolts and he screamed in surprise and shook his head.

- She has the power...almost like you Merlok ... but I am more powerful!! -he shouted and summoned the lightning again.

The wizard and the green knight were still arguing, when (Y/N) fought him for powers. Merlok finally agreed, and Fox smiled.

- (Y/N)! Try to push him away again! - commanded the knight.

She was just gasping, teeth clenched.

- You think that...it's...so...simple?!- she asked.

- Remember, nothing is impossible. -he replied.

The girl took a deep breath, squeezed her eyes shut and focused all her strength on the power and repelled the power of the cloud, slightly pushing him away. The yellow ninja dropped to her knees from lack of strength and calmed her breathing.

- Prepare for the nexo scanner!-  Merlok shouted.

= Skip time =

Monstrox got his way, set off an explosion that... destroyed the Merlok. Everyone gasped in disbelief. The cloud laughed victoriously and Aaron had a "brilliant idea" and flew inside the cloud and destroyed it from within, and the cloud... exploded. The cloud returned to the book, without power and the monsters retreated. 

(Y/N) tried to get up, but she couldn't run out of strength, her body muscles ached mercilessly, she barely lifted the mask to make it easier to breathe. A brown-mane lion burst into the room and gasped at the sight.

- (Y/N)?! Everything's all right? -he asked fearfully, running up.

The girl lay on her side, breathing hard and saying nothing. The lion sighed and lay down next to her.

- It's all because of Fox ... I'll kill him. -he said, growling.

- R-revenge ... n-nothing ... will not work. -she said weakly.

- You're not mad?! You made the most of your power, can you barely move?! And it's all because of him!- he asked incredulously.

"It's... n-no... his... fault. -she said, panting heavily.

= Skip time =

In the evening, everyone gathered in the remains of the wizard's library, (Y/N) felt a little better, but she was still weak and sat on the back of Saber, who was looking at the green knight with daggers and thinking how to kill him, so that his death would be slow and painful.

- You did well, Aaron. We are proud of you.- Axl said proudly.

- Thank you, but ... I think I failed. Clay is a stone, Merlok is gone and... -the knight began.

- And (Y/ N) is barely alive . -Saber said with venom, (Y/N) slapped him lightly on the head.

Macy sighed, as she removed the knight's helmet.

- It's too much for me. There's no Merlok or Clay ... or no hope. - she said.

The yellow ninja took a deep breath.

- A-always ... there is ... hope.- she said looking at each of the knights with a tired look.

As if on cue, the minitrex began to glow and Merlok appeared on the screen.

- I am Merlok! -the wizard cried in a high, squeaky voice.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

- The wizard returns to the great game ... or rather mini-game. -Ava said.

- Cool! But I have one question ... why is Merlok a... baby Merlok now?- Aaron asked, as he walked over and lifted the minitrex to an upright position.

- Please, don't treat me like a child! I've been living for almost 300 years... Ava, why do I have a voice like a squirrel? -Merlok asked.

"Relax, wizard ... wait until I fix your interface ... if it's possible.- Ava said looking at the tablet. Macy walked over to her and picked her up, hugging her.

- Positive news at last... fantastic, Ava! -Macy said joyfully.

- Very nice... but put me down-. she said, what the red knight did.

The lion yawned and looked at everyone except Aaron.

- Okay, guys and girls ... we'll go to Fortrex ... (Y/N) barely has his eyes open. Good night.- he said, heading for the exit.

Before walking through the door, he looked at the archer and with his paw made a gesture at his neck that said "You are already dead.''. Aaron swallowed, as the lion walks through the door.

= Later = 

(Y/N) was asleep, while Saber was lying next to her and staring into space, thinking, when he heard a light knock on the door.

Saber lifted his head from his paws and looked at the door.

- Who's there?

- It's me, Aaron.

Saber groaned annoyed. - Do you know, what time it is, idiot?

- It's only midnight. I want to talk, can I come in?

- If you insist. - rolled his eyes the lion. 

The door opened and Aaron entered the room. Saber squinted at him.

- Are you bored? Don't you have anything to do?

Aaron rolled his eyes and sighed.

- I was doing the last board ride before bed, and you? I don't think you're asleep.

- I was thinking about how to kill you while you were sleeping. But you disturbed me. What do you want?

- Listen. I want to apologize for (Y/N) using too much of her abilities and now she doesn't feel well. - He explained and sat down on the floor by the bed.

- I'm mad at you for that.

- I know, but if it wasn't for (Y/N) and her help, Merlok might have been destroyed. She was the key to defeating Monstrox.... for a while.

- Yes, yes. I saw that... sacrifice on your part. To go inside the cloud and fight it... what does it have inside? Are you crazy?

- I've always come up with crazy ideas. Since I was a kid... even me and my brothers built a rocket and I flew on it and hit the holographic tower. Then my parents enrolled me in the Royal Academy and I trained to be a knight.

Saber looked at him in wonder and glanced at (Y/N).

- I must admit, that you and (Y/N) are similar. In some ways.

- What do you mean?

- When it was six in the morning.... (Y/N) summoned her dragon and flew around on it, non-stop. She would fly and perform all sorts of strange acrobatics and tricks together with him. Loops, sharp turns, barrels and the like. She enjoyed being free and outdoors. Away from others and quarrels.

- Woah... amazing.

- Yes, it is. Listen... if you didn't mean anything wrong, I forgive you. But on one condition.

- Sure, what is it?

- Tell me, what you...feel for my friend.

- What?

- Don't lie to me. I saw the looks you gave her. I know these kinds of things, I just need confirmation. You directly flirted with her. 

Aaron's eyes widened and he fell silent, and Saber smiled.

- Admit it... you love her.

- Shut up, she'll hear you.

- Calm down, she sleeps like she's dead. I won't tell her anything, you can trust me.

Aaron glanced at the sleeping girl with hesitation and looked at the lion and sighed.

- Okay... I fell in love, okay?

- Ha, I knew it. And good, eventually she will find a boyfriend.

- What?

- Yes. In Ninjago, a lot of people fell for her, but she was too blind to notice. But... At your place, maybe it will work out for her. She's also into you.... has a crush on you. Keep doing that, and maybe you will succeed. What am I saying... of course it will work out. 

- Are you serious?

- Absolutely. You just have to make an effort.
