Cole POV

We were on top of the rooftop, Yang recovered himself as I slowly walk towards with a sword in my hand. Yang said infuriated, "Just give up already....""No I'm keeping you here till the eclipse end and the rift closes....Your evil will never return to Ninjago"I said bluntly. We battle each other so that I could prevent him from leaving, giving all I got to stop him. While I was fighting, Yang began to remind me.

"WHy are you even fighting for? Your friends have abandoned you...."He beat me as I was thrown to the side as he let out an evil cackle, "Your master has abandoned you, you are all alone."

"No!!!!!"

I jumped at him and he jumped as well but he manage to beat kick me. I raised my sword to defend however he used the Yinblade to slice my sword bit by bit until I was defeated. I said in despair, "I'm alone...."

"Yes yield.....Soon I'll be gone and you'll remain forever departed, destined to haunt this temple forever as the new master of the house"He said as he let an evil laugh. I notice I couldn't see my body clearly, "I'm fading away"

"Just one lonely ghost, *turn his back* not a friend in the world."

His evil laugh echoed around me and I knew it was hopeless. He was right I am alone and my friends have forgotten me, they didn't come for me. I closed my eyes and felt I'm fading away almost entirely. This the end of my journey, No one will remember me. As I was about to meet my end until I felt both hand on face and a voice.

"Cole calm yourself....You mustn't let your fear control you."

I looked up to see it was Rava and was horrified that she's a ghost like me. Yang turned to her, "Sinha...so you've returned, it seems fate had befallen you as well. Don't worry you will soon join him."Rava ignored his taunt as she turned to me, "Cole.....you mustn't give up, you cannot end it like this."

"Rava you can't stay here, if you do....."

"Y'know I can't do that, not without you"

"Why? Everyone has forgotten me, I'm alone....."

"Y'know that's not true.....think about the times you've had, the times you've spend through and I know you'll overcome many obstacles."

"But I'm alone my friends....."

"Cole Listen to me, Do you remember our education in the forest? I told you before that we'll get through this together and I know what's it like to be forgotten, alone. But we both know that we're not alone, you're here, I'm here and we're .....all here for you."

"How do you know?"

"Becoz deep down you know that no matter what happens we'll always be there for you and a ninja never leaves their side."

I stared at her reassuring smile when we heard a voice calling my name in the sky.

"Cole!!!"

We turned to see the Yang turning his direction in the sky, "what whose that? *Gasp*"

I couldn't believe my friends did came for me. Rava reminded, "See Cole, your friends are here and they came for you.......we're all here for you."I was inspired of my friends and Rava's encouragement. I felt the confidence and courage all coming back to me, I was no longer fading away anymore. "My friends....."I said as I put on my hood on and kick Yang. Rava was about to join in but I stopped her, "No Rava this is my fight....."Rava stared at me and understood as she stand aside. "Ghost or not I'm gonna do what I came here to do Yang"I said with confidence as I renewed my battle by attacking Yang without a weapon but with my bare hands.

Jinmay POV

The winds that flew with the bounty, pushed them back as they tried desperately to reach the temple. Nya struggled to keep the ship steady while the rest of them tried to hold on tight, as they looked ahead over the side. I held my gut once more, as pain spread throughout her entire being. Truly, magic was in the air. A dark, powerful magic. When all hope seemed lost, a voice echoed through the winds that guided them. It said, "Alone."

"Cole!" Nya shouted out. No doubt that voice was their brother's. It was true, as the roof of the temple came into their line of sight. Cole stood opposite from the fearsome, Sensei Yang in battle. Vatu said with surprise, "Wait Is that Rava? She's a ghost...."I guess Rava was right to worry so that's why she gone ahead after Zane told me that he saw her in Birchwood Forest.

"We have to help him!" Kai shouted." I can't bring it any closer!" Nya said. "The wind's too- too strong!" The bounty was pushed, almost flipped over, by the wind's force. Vatu turned to me, "JInmay, Can't you control the wind?"

"With that strong current, I don't think so....."

From what we could see, Cole struggled in battle against Yang. Blows were thrown, many were dodged throughout the chaos. The rift above them grew smaller, making the winds around them grow stronger. When all hope seemed lost, I notice Cole's fists glowed with power. He used the opportunity to punch Sensei Yang, and break the Yin blade! The result seemed to affect the rift greatly, as the winds got even stronger.

Rava POV

I watch Cole battling Yang as they were pushed back. Cole said ominously, "' Your wrong I'm not the whose alone....YOU ARE?!"Yand said defiantly, "No I have my family."pointing at his student.

"No you have prisoners that's not family....that's captivity"As he punched Yang, Cole looked at his hand, "Woah I f-feel different like I can punch through ANYTHING"

I felt something inside him as well and I knew he finally found it. His heightened vigor changes his arms to become rock-solid - a sign of his humanity being restored - which he uses to shatter the Yin Blade. With its spells broken, Yang's students were free as I walk towards Cole who was surprised. Cole said, "What was that just now?"

"You have found your balance and for that its a sign that you overcome your expectations"I said proudly at him as he smiled at me. Yang said disbelief who was lying on the roof, "NO no you broke my spell...."Cole told them, "The Rift...if you hurry, you can free from this place forever." Using Airjitzu, they make it through the rift and become human again, as the rift starts to close.

"The rift is almost closed!" I heard Wu's voice coming from Bounty

We were about to leave when Yang said in distraught, "M-My students...leaving me, I-I've failed."Cole said who was about to do airjizu, "Yeah you did..."

"I always failed....."

"Yeah you...wait what?"

I was surprised when he said that, what did he mean that he always failed? So we walk over to Yang as he spoke, "I dedicated my life to study the martial arts...alone, I got arroggant I wanted to live forever."Cole asked, helping him stand up, "Why? No one lives forever...."

"Becoz I knew the day I was gone no one will remember me."

I was shocked by that fact, I had no idea all this time he dedicated his life alone and was afraid of being forgotten. He realizes the mistaked he's been through, he's just like me who was afraid being forgotten. I said, "all of this..... Just so you won't be forgotten."

Vatu POV

It was almost over, but Cole and Rava was in no rush. They walked over to Yang and just stood in front of him. No attacks, no weapons were used. It just looked like a civil conversation in the midst of chaos

"What are they doing?!" Jay cried out. "A-Are they talking to Yang?!"

"The rift can not be opened again until the next yin yang eclipse," Wu warned.

"Which according to my calculations, won't happen for 3,721 years." Zane concluded. Woah that's really long so I turned to Jinmay who was holding on, "Jinmay, Can't you use your portal to hold rift from ever closing?"

"Are you crazy? I can't do that....If I do that, I might torn apart this realm."Jinmay said to me. WHich it was a bad idea. "Cole!" Kai shouted over the winds. "The rift! You gotta pass through the rift!"

Cole POV

Yang said, "You must have think I'm a fool for such a petty desire."I understand his desire and assured, "No I get it believe me I get it, I know what's it like to be forgotten....alone heh it hurts. But Master Yang your already be remembered forever."

"Really?! How?!"

"You created Airjitzu?!"

He places his hand on his face, not realizing that he was already remembered to be the creator of Airjitzu. Rava stepped closer and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You were so blinded by your desire that you have forgotten what was important right in front of your eyes. It's true you maybe forgotten but your teachings will live on within the students you have taught. Beside, Your not the only who makes mistakes, I was just like you but now I was given a second chance even you."Rava said, as she hugged him in comfort.

"Cole! It's now or NEVER!"

I said, "Now C'mon there still time to get through, Three of us."I carried Yang on my back as I used Airjitzu followed by Rava behind me. "No I'm afraid that's impossible....the curse of the temple requires that at least one ghost remained behind as master of the house."Yang mentioned. Rava came up to me and said, "He's right when someone was cursed, their spirits were bound to the earth."

"If its true then.....One of us has to stay here."

"It must be this way..."as he grabbed me and Rava, struggling inside the Airjitzu sphere.

"Master Yang---!?"

"Uhh hey what are you doing?!"

" settling my debts....."Yang said as he lets go of us, falling to the temple while we made it through the rift as it closes.

Jinmay POV

Finally they used airjitzu and went towards the rift. They stopped for a moment and was then suddenly flung into it. Did they make it? No one could tell as the rift closed in and released a blinding light. A high pitched whirring sound was heard and grew into an explosion, pushing the bounty with all its might.

I was about to fall off deck however Lloyd manage to grab my hand and let me clutch on to something even Vatu too. "Brace yourselves!" Wu said as we all clung to the ship. "It's going to be a rough landing!"

After a bumpy landing on the ground of where Yang's temple previously resided, We got off one by one."Is everyone alright?" Asked Misako."Nothing a tightening and few screws can't fix," Zane answered as he observed his arms. "MAn, Talk about a bumpy ride."Vatu answered as well. "Tell me about it..."I said, agree with him. Lloyd followed behind while holding his head. "I'm okay. Where's Cole?"

"Oh, no."

"Did he make it?"

"He was too late!" Jay said, and sounded close to the edge of sobbing. "He's gone forever! I'd give anything to have him back!" A few tears started to slip out from his eyes, he wiped it away as a voice spoke.

"Anything?"

"ANYTHING!"

"Even the Sonic Radar Jet?" We turned around to see- "Cole!" They ran towards him as he hopped of a rock. They quickly hugged him and gave him a little lift. He was back, and we mean back.

"You're not a ghost anymore!"

Nya grabbed the now human Cole and playful shook him. "You look good as new!"

"Yeah, pretty much. Thank you, Nya."

"But where's Rava?"I asked, which caught everyone's attention. We looked around and see no sign of her. What if she didn't make it? What if she's gone? I was on the verge of sadness until....

"Jinmay I found her...."

I turned to see Vatu holding Rava unconsciously in bridal style, she was back to being mortal again. I asked, "What happened?"

"I don't know I just found her unconsciously but she's not waking up."Vatu said as he placed her on the ground. I try to shake her but didn't work as Zane said, "My scan indicates that her heart is still beating but merely fainted from the fall."Jay said, "Well somebody better give her a mouth to mouth."Without hesitation, Cole crouched down to her with their face inche closer as he placed his hand on her cheek then planted a kiss on her lips passionately while everyone watched them in awe which is not how Jay and I pictured

Vatu noted, "That's not the mouth to mouth I was hoping for."Cole slowly pulled away before finishing the kiss as she slowly opened her eyes and a smile growing slowly across her face. "Do you have to do that?"She said. Cole replied, "Hey just wanted to be sure....."

"Ehem!"

Their moment was broken as they saw that they didn't know we were staring right at them. "OH! Uh . . . sorry." Cole mumbled as he helped get on her feet."it's . . . okay." She replied as they both blushed a bit. Vatu asked, "Are you going to be alright from now on, Rava?" Rava gave a reassuring smile, "Do not worry.....I'm going to be ok, I'm just being me." I chuckled, "Well, I'm glad that both of you are good as new."

"Speaking of good as new..." Everyone's eyes fell where Kai pointed to. They all gave a soft gasp at the sight before them."The temple of the airjitzu master has been returned to its original condition." Said Wu."It's-it's beautiful." Zane spoke. Vatu stated, "I guess this place has been purified huh?" I replied, "You bet...."

"I sure it is...."Rava answered.

"You know," Cole said aloud, "that would be a pretty cool place for a ninja to train"

~~~~~~~~~ The Next Year ~~~~~~~~~

Not long after Cole finished his story, he cheered at his storytelling skills. "Woo-how! And was I right or was I right?" He looked up from the campfire flames, and looked upon his friends faces. Among them were Jay's parents, his own father, and Dareth playing the air guitar to a soft melody only he and Vatu could hear. Not only that Hunter and Uncle Earl is here too. "Ugh, yes! You were right! Are you gonna retell this story every Day of the Departed from now on?" Jay whined. "Only until you admit you didn't want to move in because you were scared it was haunted!" Cole shot back, getting a laugh from everyone."I wasn't scared! I was- cautious. Okay, fine. I was scared. And wrong. There's no more ghosts here!"

"Nope, no ghosts." Although he confirmed this with the rest of his team, Cole looked behind his shoulder and saw him gave a wink. From the shadows of the temple, a light winked back at him which turns out that Yang was there watching. I smiled when Jay turned to me, "Jinmay, Your the Spirit Master, Are you sure you don't sense any ghost?"I was about to say something until Rava answered in a calm manner, "Jay, Jinmay can assure that there is no ghost, Isn't that right?"

I realize that Rava knew Yang was there so I guess she wanted me to keep a secret. "Yeah no spirits at all....Not only that, I can't believe Hunter your here."I said.

Hunter said, "Hey, when I heard that your in Ninjago so I thought I might come and celebrate my childhood friend."

"Also I'm gald your here too Uncle Earl, I guess this is your first time in Ninjago City and floating on a temple."

Uncle Earl said, "Well Its a good thing, I asked permission to the Elder to come since you invited me. I hate to admit I'm impressed they used technology which is similar to our way. *whisper* plus I had no idea that Zane which you accept him as our family is a nindroid." pointing at Zane who was beside Hunter and Wu.

"*whisper* Hey, he may be a robot but he has a heart of a brother."

" I see......Not only that, I get to meet the green ninja who was the master of spinjitzu master and now I understand why you like him."

Wu said, "It is privileged of meeting a villager from the hidden valley." Misako said, "I've heard that village was hidden in a mist where invaders can't find them. I find it astonishing...."Uncle Earl shrugged with shyness, "Well i'm glad to be here in the day of the departed."Then, Misako and Uncle Earl began to have a friendly conversation. Lloyd said softly, "I can't believe they're talking...."I replied, drinking a soda"Yeah families has their own way...."

".....I never knew my little boy winds up to have such a wonderful girlfriend. Lloyd never lets go of her."Misako said. "Y'know if they don't want to be apart, why not just get married?"Uncle Earl suggested which cause me to spurt my drink. Misako replied, "Perhaps.....after all they do make a lovely couple."

Lloyd said, with cheek blushed, "Mom......"

I said flabbergasted,"Uncle.....Don't say that, your embarrassing me."I hit him on the should which cause everyone to laugh. Hunter chuckled, "Perhaps we should made this conversation a little overwhelmed ." Wu replied, "Indeed..."

Yang POV

I was watching them from the window, Cole winked at me as I winked at him back. I watched as they prepared lighting the lanterns that was brought by the girl with orange hair. I've learned the errors of my ways that I hadn't realize it at first from the begining.

"there was a time when you make mistake, you have to learn from it. I told you before, didn't I?"

I recognize that voice behind me as I turned to see it was Zecora, the first spirit master. I was surprised at first as I turned to the window where the girl who was with the green friend then at her. "Its you but how? I thought....."I said confusing.

She walked up beside me near the window. "Actually I'm actually not here just departed, I'm only an essence of what was left when the seal is broken in order to speak to you but I'm afraid I can't maintain in this world for short time."She turned to me, "I see you have finally found your missing piece. I knew that someday someone will save you from your mistake and I'm glad it is them."

I realize that she was referring to Cole and Sinha (Rava). I said to her, "You know what's going to happen? That's why you took the Yinblade and didn't destroy it."

"I know the outcome becoz I've seen the future. If you hadn't curse those two, they would have passed down your teachings to them. What was passed down to them may now past down to each generations. You maybe forgotten but your teachings will always lived on."

"*sigh* I should have listen to you back there if I hadn't met you sooner, I might have repeat my mistakes all over. "

"But you are no longer alone, aren't you? When you met someone who understands, then you are not alone. After all, Its true every story has a sad ending....but every story has a new begining"

"You really do have way with words...."

She smiled at me and turned to the window. "It would seem my time in this world has ended, I wish I could help you.....however I'm no longer here anymore and the curse has made you bound to this temple which I wasn't able to purify it since you are the one cast it."I lowered my head in depression then a demure smile as I replied, "Its better this way....after all I am the Master of the house and the creator of Airjitzu. Beside, I'm already remembered by everyone."

She turned to me and smile blissfully, "I see.....Then take care of yourself, may you find peace."I bow my head to her and said, "Happy Day of the Departed, my spiritual firend."And with that, her body disappeared with a smile on her face into tints of purple lights like fireflies. I watched as it flew outside the window and into the sky.

Rava POV

I watched those surrounding the fire are lighting up the lanterns when I felt a farmilar prescence as I got up from my seat and went beside the temple where the window is until I saw a tint of purple lights as it disappeared into the night. Vatu said, walking up to me in concern, "Hey Rava, Is there something wrong?"

"Huh oh nothing Its just....*looked up in the sky* I felt a farmiliar presence since Lady Zecora's departure."I said. Vatu stood beside me and said, "Listen do you remember the villains that escape from the departed realm back then."I gave him a confused look as he added, "....Well, they're not the only ones that came back."

I stared at him for a second then I realized what he was refering to. I walked towards him and said, "Morro was there, wasn't he?"He gave me a sad look and nodded at me. I lowered my head that Morro came back and I felt disappointed that I couldn't see him. Vatu said sympathetic, "I'm sorry you didn't get to see him during the eclipse ended but he wanted me to delivered this message to you on the day of the departed."

I looked up to him as he said aloud, "He said, 'I may not be able to see you, but just to let you know that I'm proud your stepping in my role as the new Master of Wind. I heard you've been stressing yourself but its not your fault, it was fate. You don't have to worry about it. No matter how far you are, wherever you go I'll always be with you. Just like the wind is a part of us and I'll watch over you in the sky. I'm glad to be part of your family. Take care of yourself, Birdy My sister."

My eye's welled with tear what Morro said that me also he even called me his sister even we're not related. Vatu placed his hand on my shoulder in comfort, "I know its hard for you..... maybe one day you'll meet him again somwehere in the sky, just like how I met my old friend. After all, you find him and he finds you."I wiped the tears from my eye and said, "Your right, He might be out there somewhere but I believe he'll always be part of me."Vatu smiled at me as he patted me on the back when we heard Jinmay calling us that it was time loose the lanterns. We nodded at each other as we head back to where they are.

With the moon rising high in the sky, they all pulled out their lanterns and we let them loose into the night sky, concluding our celebration. I watched as the lantern float in the air, I placed my hand below my neck which I hold something precious inside that will be remembered forever. While I was gazing at the lanterns when Cole went closer to me. Cole called, "Rava...."I turned to him as he continued, "I just want to say thank you for being there for me. If you hadn't been there, I would have been departed."

"Of course after all I will never forget you becoz we both shared in common and our struggle."I said to him. He looked at me and smiled as I felt his hand clutched into mine. He said, "Happy Day of the Departed Rava!"

I turned to him and replied, "Happy Day of the Departed Cole!" as we turned back to watched the lantern float in the sky. It was the greatest celebration I ever had.
