INVITATION

This was the saddest in my entire life, i felt heartbroken that Zane sacrifice himself for all of us. In order to protect us from the Overlord's wrath, but now he's gone. I try to bring him back but backfired. Vatu felt the same as i do but Rava she doesn't understand how i feel, its almost like she doesn't care. I don't know what to do now and i don't think i'm fully ready coz i feel incomplete without him. He's like me, a big brother that i always wanted who shared my loneliness and feelings . I guess i don't feel like it, i'm writing this to you so that you know how i feel the loss of someone you want to protect..

Vatu's Pov

Centuries ago

I was wandering through the darkness. A world where people who do bad deeds and wind up in abyss called the Cursed Realm. I did something that i will never regret but i couldn't remember what it was. My mind is kinda blank when i first sent here and i had no idea how i got here, i only remember the half of it. No matter how hard i tried to run and escape is no luck. I sat on the ground staring at the dark sky and feel kinda ashamed of the crimes i did, i had lost hope of myself. I was a bit alone that's why they call me the lonewolf. I was on a brink of being surrounded by shadows until a light shone brightly.

I looked up and saw a lady dress in a silver and purple elegant kimono which has butterfly in it. I can't help but She looks beautiful and radiant. I notice the shadows were scared of her as she walk towards me. She stared at me in the eye and asked, "What's a boy like you doing in a place?"I blinked at her and wonder why would she ask me. "well your one to talk. I committed serious crime and i was sent here. I guess i deserved to be punished" I said. "Why would you committed a crime when you already save a person in need?"she mentioned. I stared at her, looking confuse on what she was talking about. She saw me reaction and continued, "After all, you made a promise to a friend a long time ago."I touched my head and try to remember making a promise to a friend but i don't who it was. She placed her hand on my shoulder and said, "you see, you may have made bad deeds but deep down i sense a pure heart within you. It means that you did something good in exchange. You save a friend who made a promise to you, and now your friend is waiting for you to fulfill that promise."

I asked her, "What did i promise to my...friend before?" "you will have to find out within yourself."She pointed at my hand as i looked at my palm, i was holding on to some kind of  white scale. I had no idea i was clutching to it. I felt my heart was tatter almost like someone important to me IS waiting for me of what she said. I sighed, "yeah but i don't think i won't be able to fulfill that promise since i'm a ghost. I just wish i can change my destiny but it won't coz i'm not worth living" She stood up and extend her hand to him. "Don't say that i see potential in you and you will do something extraordinary. Come with me, we can explore many things to see and someday you might find what your looking for. If you want to change destiny, i want you to pledge your loyalty to me. If you do, you will become my spirit guardian to serve and protect me, but i'm not forcing you. It is your decision to choose."I looked up to her and asked, "why?....Why would you help a ghost who committed a crime?"She answered to him, "Because everyone deserves a second chance, just like what you said to your friend you promised before. And after all, I could use a little companion on my journey."

My eyes is filled with tears of joys when her words stirred my heart. I felt happy that i was given hope of living . I reached out my hand and grabbed her hand. She smiled at me as she help get me on my feet. She start chanting ancient word and i felt my chest is on fire, what appears on my chest where 2 jade beads as it placed it within me. I opened my eyes and saw that my clothes has changed into my armor and i had two katanas behind me. I touched my hair kinda notice i had wolf ear and a tail which is kinda disturbing. I looked at her and gave a smile, she smiled back at me and pointed at me, "you have become my spirit guardian, from this day forward you are known as the Guardian of the Forest. You are now sealed with an enternal pledge, it may be a blessing but also a curse. Only i'm the one who can break it and turn you into human but only when you did good deeds." I said skeptically, "wait..is that mean i'm stuck being a guardian and only you can break the curse so that i can become human again. Ok that's just not playing fair."She laughed and gestured into the light, "Come now, this will become the beginning of your journey. I looked back at the cursed realm one last time and left with her. "one more thing, Who exactly are you?" i asked. She turned to look at me and smiled, "I am Zecora, the Spirit Master but you may know me as the master of spirit."

Back to the Present

I woke up from a memory sore and bruised that was long time ago since i remember becoming a spirit guardian, I tried to remember the others but didn't. I also tried to recalled of what she told me; about making promise to someone but for who exactly? i don't know.

As my eyes took awhile to get used to the darkness as i studied my surroundings. Where am I? I questioned myself but no sudden answer hit me.. I was chained to a wall, there was nothing else strange about this place, it kind of reminded me of a prison, with long steel bars covering the only window and looming cold bricks above me. I remembered that me and jinmay were following some strange people. Not only that we were shocked that Zane was alive but was taken away. We followed and went to some kind of island then we were caught. Then i panicked as i realized that we were captured and held prison on the island. I looked around and notice that jinmay isn't here with me. I hope nothing happens to her.

One thing i did know is that i needed to get out of here and find her. I saw my katanas were in front of me hanging. Even if i used ancient claws, i can't wriggle myself free. All i had is jinmay silver scarf that i was holding on which is not helpful, that's when i had an idea. I chant some ancient words to the silver scarf as it float in front of me.

Swift as the mist, silent as the forest

Become the fog which can't be seen

The scarf began to change form as it turned into a mist in a shape of a wolf cub. I watched as the mist wolf went through the walls, hoping Rava finds the message.

Rava's Pov

It's been a few months since I was soaring in the sky in my crow form, seeing how the ninjas changed after the loss of the ice ninja. People have grieved because of his sacrifice. Everyone has gotten jobs and moved on in their lives. I morphed into my human form as i landed at the park and stare at the statue of Zane. Vatu is the one who insisted me to see how the ninjas go since mistress was gone to a despair.

Flashback

During the memorial, we searched for her and found her on the rooftop of Borg's Tower. She was curled up on the roof she was sat on with her knee tucked to her chest, and her voice was void of any emotion. Vatu slowly walked over to her as he reached to her. "Hey...how're you holding up?" asked Vatu softly, kneeling down beside mistress and resting a hand on her shoulder slowly. She looked around at Vatu for a second, before her face went cold again as she looked down again, a few tears forming in the corner of her eyes before she could wipe them away."He's gone..." she whispered softly, though it was clear that her voice was shattered; her will had been broken, and her spirit was in tatters.

I realize she was shocked due to Zane's incident, I wanted to tell her to finish the lesson but she ignored me coldly. Vatu went over to me and asked, "hey Rava how come your not feeling grief? Don't you missed Zane?" "our priority was to protect her, after all we are her spirit guardian." I said to him. He sighed and said, "isn't there more than just protecting her?"i stared at him with a confuse look as he continued, "you should think about everyone's feeling for once in a while. It's like your hiding your feelings away. What is it that made you stop feeling it? Listen, If you don't convey your feelings to then ,they won't open to you." I looked down on the ground and thought about it, i was about to tell him but he stopped me and requested, "Look, why don't you check on the ninjas and lloyd you know trying to see how they go on with their life only for a month? I'm pretty sure jinmay would like that beside she needs to be alone time." i looked at mistress who is still heartbroken, i sighed and replied, "Very well then, stay with mistress Vatu and make sure she's alright." i morphed into my crow form and left Vatu in care..

End of Flashback

Ever since that time, I was thinking about what Vatu said to me that i was hiding my feelings. The reason is that i don't want to make the same mistake since Lady Zecora disappeared from this world, just like Zane. I failed to swore to protect her, in order not to not to repeat this from happening. I sealed my feelings and swear only to protect her. But instead of protecting her, i couldn't save her heart that was shattered. I had no choice it's the only way to protect her, i couldn't let my feelings held me down.

As i was about to head back, i notice something in the sky and it looks like a mist wolf cub. It head towards me as i reached out to it and turned back into scarf. I realize this is mistress scarf, The mist created some kind of image, it's like it was sending a message. It showed me the image of VAtu as he announce. "Rava, listen to me carefully and you won't believe this. Zane is alive, jinmay really did revived him...." my eyebrow raised up as i was shocked that the ice ninja lived, i continued listening to Vatu's message.

"....We were shocked at first, we were about to tell you but jinmay told me that we would follow them without you. They took him in some kind of Island, i have no idea who they are but all we know is the name in charge. He called himself Chen. I don't know who he is but i heard he works in a noodle shop. I don't what they're up to but you gotta help us..." as the message ended.

I looked at the mistress scarf and determine to save them. i kept the scarf around my neck and went to find Chen's noodle shop. It was now evening and the sun was just about to set. I finally made it to their destination; Mister Chen's Noodle House. It was a strange place, i cast an illusion on myself to disguise as a normal citizens and walked inside. I sat on the table and ordered a noodle. I saw the ninjas were here as well, 'They're probably having a meeting somehow,'i thought as i eat my noodles.

Suddenly, three thugs walked in the building. I notice they had snake tattoos and two wore toboggans while the other, the leader had a Mohawk. I watched as they stole all the money from the register and shoved the clerk onto a plate of food. "Excuse me," Cole said to them. "It's not polite to touch other people's food." Kai said, "I'd listen to him if I were you. He's no fun to be around when he's hungry." I watched Cole started to fight the leader with his chopsticks while Kai threw food at the other two. It would seem they are making a mess. The thugs escaped out the back door. "Let's get 'em guys!" they chased them out the back door. I got up from my table, payed for the food and follow the ninjas. I cast an illusion to make it look she wasn't there.

She saw the ninjas gathered on the table. Above the table on the wall was a picture of Zane. Lloyd took it off and read it. "It says... Zane's alive!" "I don't think those thugs were delivering a message to the noodle house." said Kai. "They were delivering a message to us." 'So he really is alive. Vatu was right.' i thought as i continued listening to their conversation.

"What do you mean it says he's alive?" Jay questioned skeptically. "Hey, I'm just telling you what it says." replied Lloyd. "Why would those thugs lead us here? Kai asked. "Ya know this has to be some kind of cruel joke, and I'm not laughing." said Cole. "Look. I think this was meant for us too." Lloyd pointed to the plate of fortune cookies. "Fortune cookies? How peculiar!" Jay commented."Shall we?" Lloyd asked. Without hesitating, Cole grabbed a cookie and shoved it in his mouth. All the others looked at him. "You do know there's a fortune inside right?" Kai said pulling his cookie apart to reveal a slit of paper. "Oh, so that's why they're called that!" replied Cole. "Listen to this." Lloyd read his fortune aloud. "Master Chen has personally invited you to participate in his Tournament of Elements.""Wait a minute. Are you saying that Mister Chen, the same guy filling my belly with delicious goodness is actually Master Chen?" Cole questioned. Then Kai and Jay read their fortunes aloud. "Secrecy is of the utmost importance. Tell no one or suffer the consequences." "If you ever want to see your friend again, meet on the pier at midnight and leave your weapons behind." Suddenly, Jay's fortune exploded followed by Kai's then Lloyd's. After a short pause, Cole then leaped up into the air and screamed. "Ah at least I know I was invited." He remarked. "You don't think." Lloyd started. Kai said, "It could be a lie, a trap to lure us in." Yeah, but what if it's not? What if Zane's alive?" "The Tournament of Elements. I'm starting to think this "Master Chen" makes more than noodles." Lloyd said. "You can forget about bringing in a new ninja, Lloyd. Let's go see about an old one."

As they left scene, i turned off my illusion and stared at the red table and said to myself, "Very interesting, so he is inviting them to this tournament of elements. It must be a trapped, this master chen is planning devious. If he has Vatu and mistress then they must be there. If i have to save them, I'll have to compete the tournament, if it means risking."As i head to the pier at midnight, hoping to save them.

The ninja arrived at the pier with a bunch of other people. Each ninja wore a different suit from previous times. "Ah I told you we shouldn't have worn them." Jay said. The Tournament of Elements. Do you think all of them have powers like us?" Kai questioned. Lloyd said how his dad got suspicious when he asked. "The fortune cookie said tell no one or else there'll be consequences." Cole replied. "Relax. We're cool." "We have to stick together." Lloyd informed the others. A big boat had just pulled up to the dock and a man with a long black ponytail and a moustache walked off. The man started to usher people onboard the ship. A girl in an orange cloak walked up to the ship. "Watch your step madam." He said. The girl looked back behind her and Kai saw her face.

Instantly he fell in love with her."We can't let anything distract us right, Kai?" Lloyd said seeing Kai's look. "Uh, sure whatever you said." Jay, Kai, and Cole all boarded the ship after Jay had his nunchucks confiscated. Just before Lloyd walked on the boat, Garmadon appeared. "Lloyd, wait! If you get on that boat, you may never return. Master Chen is a dangerous man who should never be trusted. Whatever he promised you do not believe him." Just then the man with the ponytail turned around and saw Garmadon.

"Lord Garmadon, it's been a while. I believe it's sensei now am I correct? I can't remember." "Clouse. I see Master Chen still has you running his errands." Garmadon replied."I have to go dad. This is about Zane. It's about family. If we're ever gonna be whole again, I need to get on that ship." Lloyd started to walk across the board to get on the ship. "I can't stop you, son. But I can join you." Two of Master Chen's henchmen started to pull the board onto the ship as Clouse said, "Sorry, no more room." But Garmadon did a front flip and landed on the board causing it to fly up in the air and knock the two henchmen overboard. Garmadon landed on the ship. "I stand corrected. There's room now." "Oh, don't worry. I'm just looking out for my interests." Garmadon said looking at Lloyd. Then the ship took off.

Upon entering the ship, they passed many elemental masters such as Gravis, master of gravity, Bolobo, master of nature, Jacob, master of sound, and Karloff, master of metal. Clouse walked by and Lloyd said to his father, "You know him. You said his name was Clouse." "Don't be fooled by his attire. He is a master of the dark arts and Chen's number two." "Huh, I thought Mister Chen's number two was an eggroll and fried rice." Cole said. "How come you and Wu haven't told us there were others with powers like us?" Kai asked.

They were the first Spinjitsu master's guardians: Each with an elemental power that has been passed down through generations." "If that's true, then so is my sister, Nya. But she can't do what I can." Kai said. "Can't she? Power lies in all of you. It just needs to be awoken. The fighters here serve no master and have managed to unlock their own true potential. For instance, that pail man," Garmadon said pointing to a man wearing maroon pants with a maroon jacket and a light green shirt under it. He wore a golden necklace that matched his golden sunglasses and a tan fedora hat. His face was invisible. "distant relative to the master of light. Watch closely and see how he stayed hidden all this time."

Then the pale man disappeared just like his head. Then a man with a white gi on with red features sped by them. The man had hair that looked just like Dr. Julien's but it was brown. He also wore red rose-colored sunglasses. "That's Griffin Turner, grandson to the master of speed." Then Griffin sped off like The Flash. "Master of speed? Phbt. That's not an element." "So asks the master of lightning." Garmadon replied. "Oh, he got you there." Cole said.Kai was staring at the girl he had seen at the docks. "And, uh who's she?" "I don't know. Most of these people I have not seen. You are ninja who fight with honor. Here that means very little." replied Garmadon. Just then a man with a black shirt and pants and a metal breastplate walked up to the girl. He started to push her. He had a black helmet and metal gorilla-like gloves. "Well, maybe honor means something to me." Kai said. He walked up to Karloff, the master of metal. The girl in the orange cloak said, "I can handle myself." Karloff said, "Karloff cold!" Karloff just want her cloak!" "You look like you have big enough mittens. Why don't you leave the gal alone?" "These not mittens! These crush ninja!" "I'd like to see you try." Kai argued. "Don't think Karloff afraid of you!" "No, you don't think much at all do you?" Kai said. Karloff picked him up by his shirt. Ah, just jump in when you feel like it." he said to the others. "You think Karloff not smart?" Lloyd stepped up and said, "I think Karloff's plenty smart not to start anything."

? Suddenly, Karloff put Kai down and then punched him all the way across the ship. "Whoopsie! Guess Karloff not smart!" "Kai started this." Garmadon said holding back Jay, Cole, and Lloyd. Kai caught his hands on fire and shouted, "Fire!" Karloff clapped his gloves together and his whole body turned metal as he charged at Kai. They started a full battle across the ship. After fighting for a while, Karloff finally pinned Kai to the ground. ?He was just about to punch Kai when a sudden grey blur grabbed Karlorf's wrist. When Kai could see her properly, a rather pretty, petite girl now stood between them, herblack emo hair, covering the left eye. She was wearing Grey Plunging V-neck, attached hood and Mask covers lower half of face, Grey interlock ties sewn to pant legs & to elbow-length fingerless gloves, Pants portion of black step-in jumpsuit is stretch knit; top is interlock and orange waist sash measures 7' long by 8" wide .Karloff scowled at her. "Little girl move. This between men." But she didn't budge, just stared at him with a sharp eye. Karloff's scowl darkened, and half a second later his other fist is about to punch her full force but was blocked by her other arm. She didn't even flinched, not even a pain. Karlorf stared at her as he broke free from her hand and backed away. She stood there glaring at him when she was touching her other arm.

Karloff charged towards her, his face and body turning a dull sheen of silver. His fist raised to strike-until she punched him on the stomach full force. Karloff was knocked backwards by her punch, he was surprised that he felt the pain even though he was covered in metal it's like she penetrated through his metal. He charged again, only this time she swiftly moved and clenched onto his wrist as she started to twisting Karlorf's arm. Karloff froze, his body mid-run, his eyes flicking around as she went closer to him. "if you continue to fight here, you'll sink the boat."She spoke. Karloff turned to face her as his body movements began to feel slowpainfully. She notice it as she let go off him and Karloff immediately relaxed into a standing position, but not without giving her a stunned look.

She warned, "I'm not allowed to harm anyone but If you fight here again..." She gave him a piercing gaze, almost like it was piercing through his mind. "I will show no mercy." Which made karlorf frightened when he saw her gaze as he walked away. Clouse was surprise by her action as he went to her. "Strange, I don't remember seeing you around. Your not even from the list, not even the invitation." She turned to him and question," Is that so? i wonder what happens if your master finds out you left one forgotten element behind? what will he react?......Dark Wizard."

He narrowed his eye at her as she stared at him with a cold eyes. Clouse asked, "And may i know the name of this forgotten element?"She faced in front of him and answered, "Rava, Master of Air." as she raised her hand, a wind breeze around them to prove she is controlling the air/wind. Clouse felt it even the ninjas and Garmadon as well( But what they did not know is that Rava just snuck aboard on a ship where no one is looking and blend in with the Elemental Master.). "Very well, i'll remember to add that on the list." Clouse said as he left. Rava turned to see Kai who was still on the ground. The woman apologizes to Kai and helps him up; she notice that unbeknownst to him, a strange energy flows from his arm and into hers. Kai turned to Rava and went to her. "you know i can handle him just fine."Kai reminded. She stared at him and said, "Pathetic." "What?" kai said who looks peeved. "Don't you know that it is your recklessness and arrogant that causes the fight. You fought almost like it was a child's play." Kai felt that she was insulting him, he wanted to tussle her but he couldn't as she continued, "I did not come here to make sympathy with all of you, i only come here to compete and test my limits."

As she push him aside and walk away from him. Kai looked at her in shock before scowling slightly and went back to his team. Lloyd noticed that her clear eyes clouded over with no emotions also he saw a silver scarf wrapped around her neck, reminded of someone. Kai complained, "Can you believe it? She just insulted me and blamed me." Jay said, "Well Yeah, you did started the fight also she's a bit hard core. She reminded me of you, Cole i mean she did said she wants to test her own limits." Cole said to jay, "oh please, i'm not like her. Y'know." Garmadon looked at her carefully until he recognize her face. "I know who she is now," Sensei Garmadon commented as the girl slowly walked to the railing, her strange hair wavering in the breeze. "She's the Archer i met from Borg's Tower. She was the one who protected you from pythor while you were inside the digiverse" The ninjas turned to garmadon with their jaws dropped. Lloyd asked, "She protected us?" Jay said, "Woah wait, if she protected us then why is she cold to us now?"Garmadon sighed and said, "i don't know her motive, but whatever it is she has a reason."As they were staring at her until an announcement was heard.

"We're here. Welcome to Chen's island." Clouse said as the ship stopped in front of a large island. Clouse hid behind some boxes and pulled out a phone to call Chen.

Clouse: Master Chen, Garmadon has returned. He says he will be "looking out for his interests".

Chen: Interesting. You worry too much Clouse. Everything will work out. Just wait and see.

"I swore to never return to this island." Garmadon said. "Ya know you should never swear. It's a sign of weak verbal skills." said Jay. "If Zane's on that island, we'll find him. We have to." Lloyd said. As they stared at the island, Rava who clutching on to the scarf and mumbled, "Don't worry, I'm coming."

On the island, Master Chen walked up to a prison cell. He looked through the window. "I hold all the cards." He said laughing maniacally. Inside the cell a familiar robot looked up and saw Chen. Behind him was a mysterious boy in hood staring at Master Chen.

ONLY ONE CAN REMAIN

The boat moved closer to the Chen's Island by each minute and they were looking towards the island.

"Look at that."

"Awesome."

"Let me see."

"Do you mind?"

Kai and Karlof got into battle positions once again, Rava shook her head disapprovingly. In just a few minutes, they have reached the island.Clouse was the first one to step off the boat and then was followed by Garmadon. "Welcome to Chen's Island. The Tournament of Elements welcomes its brave fighters. Master Chen will be pleased you've returned, Sensei Garmadon." Clouse explained, looking over at Sensei Garmadon.

"The pleasure is all mine, Clouse."

"I'm sure it is..."

A mysterious hood in red shirt and purple jeans (from the anime Kobato; like kohaku was wearing) appeared in front of him, he bowed his head as he greeted Clouse"Welcome back, Clouse. Master Chen will be expecting your arrival."he said. "Tell him, we will see to it" Clouse said to him. Garmadon saw him as he looked at him as well. "Oh i see you met Master Chen's pupil, Rajah. Rajah, this is Sensei Garmadon, the former pupil that my master spoke of."Clouse mentioned. Rajah turned to Garmadon as he bowed his head, "Then it is a pleasure to meet you, former pupil of master chen." he said politely, Garmadon watched as he head back. Behind them, Rava felt a farmiliar essence coming from him almost feel like she knows him. 'i wonder who he is....'

Jay suddenly appeared behind Garmadon. "Definitely feeling some tension between you two."Kai appeared as well. "Yeah, and how is it we're on an island I've never seen on any map?""And care to explain how the face to Ninjago's most popular noodle house is secretly assembling an underground fighting tournament?" Cole added."Master Chen used to be a friend. Now he's a traitor." Garmadon explained vaguely. "During the Serpentine Wars, Chen turned against his own kind and sided with the treacherous snakes."

The other elemental masters, along with their companions, were making their way off the boat. The group of ninja and Sensei then began to walk forward after awhile. As they did, Garmadon explained his past with Chen and the Serpentine Wars. As he did, Kai looked back to see the girl in the orange cloak once again. "Uh...ladies first." Kai said, pushing the others to the side to make way for the girl. Rava walked passed by as well looking annoyed. The group of elemental descendants had stopped in front of a large, closed door before proceeding to walk forward once it was opened.

Rava's Pov

The elemental masters were soon inside the large palace. They were seated in a large circle. It is my first time seeing lots of elemental masters when i heard the sound of a gong. Then the sound of music was heard."All rise for Master Chen." Rajah instructed as he gestured upwards. Everyone looked up, as we rose to our feet, to see what looked like a throne descending from the ceiling. Once the throne made it to the ground, the elemental masters could see a man sitting upon the throne, presumably Chen. 'so that's Chen' i thought. "Welcome to the Tournament of Elements. Now everyone can all die-!" Chen announced, receiving a gasp from the group in front of him except me i wasn't surprised."-rect your attention to me!" Chen finished before laughing. I gave Chen an unamused look, not caring if he saw them or not. I heard Garmadon's voice whispering to them. "I forgot to mention, he has a penchant for theatrics." Sensei Garmadon explained in a hushed tone while we sat back down.

Chen continued to laugh as he got off his throne and made his way towards the group of elementals."Never before have so many Elemental Fighters been under one roof." Chen explained."I see Master of Fire," Chen began to list, gesturing to the respective elemental master and their companion. I stared at Chen, wondering how he new about their elements."Earth, Shadow, Speed. Even a prophesied Green Savior. And a former pupil has returned! I see you met my new pupil. He was quite obedient isn't he?" Chen finished, staring at Garmadon. Then, Chen turned to look a me. "You must be the Master of Air. Funny, i haven't seen one around before. It's surprising that you appeared unexpected."

I said to him politely, "then my apology for coming here unannounced without an invitation sometimes it takes time for me to appear." Chen said with a glee, "well, No matter at least you were able to attend."as he turned away.

"This symbol before you is for the Anacondrai, fiercest Serpentine Warrior to ever roam this land." Chen explained, pointing the symbol that was located on the gong. "It's creed: Only one can remain." 'Anacondrai....Hmmm Vatu never mentioned that.' i thought. One of his...servants hit the gong, making the sound travel throughout the room. The gong suddenly spilt in two, pulling away, to reveal a series of brackets with each of the contestants faces on them."Good. Looks like we're each in our own bracket." Kai noted. "We won't have to face each other for a while..."

"Better find Zane before that happens." Lloyd suggested."Behold! A Jade Blade." Chen announced, gesturing to Clouse who was holding the object. "Here, it represents life. Obtain it, move on. Allow your opponent to take it...Loser!" Chen stated. "The rules are simple, every match will be different. No two fights will be the same. Your powers will keep you in the tournament. Use it or lose it!"All the elemental masters exchanged glances towards one another. "--It's a super fun happy place! Fun time on me!" Chen exclaimed, letting out a laugh. I frowned at his evasive words but said nothing."You will now each be shown to your rooms." Clouse explained and clapped his hands.

As the kabuki began to show them to their rooms, I watched as each of the ninja were taken to varying floors. One kabuki grabbed my arm and I jerked my arm out of the kabuki's surprisingly strong grip. "I'll help myself thank you..." The kabuki said nothing but ushered me to a room on the 7th floor. It was pretty nice- a large, comfortable-looking bed, and a TV. I sat on the bed wondering how will i find Vatu and Mistress on the island. While i was figuring out, the loudspeaker crackled. "I hope you all are enjoying your new rooms. Now, about the first event- there are sixteen Jade Blades hidden around the building. Whoever gets one, gets to move onto the next round, and whoever doesn't get one....loses. The first event starts... NOW!" Chen cackled. My' eyes widened when he started the game. Running out of my room, i looked around. No Jade Blades in sight... well, there were quite a few, but with the people fighting over them

I sighed and began to race around the building, my eyes flickering everywhere, until i spotted one on the ground outside. Judging by some triumphant shouts, i saw quite a few others had already gotten a Jade Blade, so I hurry if i was to get one now. The only problem was... the Jade Blade was in the courtyard...i leapt up before tearing down the staircase. I was in shape, and my waist sash didn't do much to hinder my movements, but I still nearly crashed into a wall before tearing outside due to my speed, which threw me off balance quite a bit. When I got outside, i collided roughly with someone and fell very graceful. I looked up at the person who i smashed into, who turned out to be... Kai. The fire ninja. He was holding one of the Jade Blades, however i could still see a glint of green in the courtyard, so evidently it wasn't that one. His scarred eyebrows went down as he scowled. "Watch it," he snapped. I said to him, "you should watch out yourself."He stepped around me and ran towards where Chen was waiting.

I watched him go before charging into the courtyard- and coming face to face with Karloff. My breath quickened slightly, but i had to get the jade blade if i were able to find them so i had no choice I'll have to do what I had to do. . "Back for more...." I said, my voice overly calm. Karloff glared at her. "Now we finish this!" he roared, and ran at me, I saw his entire body made of metal. I hesitated before running towards the Jade Blade, ignoring Karloff. As I stooped lower and lower until I was nearly parallel to the ground, I could sense Karloff running right at me. My hand flickered out and snatched up the Jade Blade, and in a swift movement i tucked my head and rolled, right past Karloff. I landed back on my feet and glanced back at him apologetically before taking off. I sense Karloff in close pursuit behind me. Somehow, I knew that even if I outrun, he would still catch up. After all, HE hadn't run down seven flights of stairs.So I decided to take a different, although more roundabout route to the area where Chen was waiting.

Lloyd's Pov

I watched Kai put the Jade Blade in, everyone's eyes on him, and then turned to watch the door. He felt himself hoping that Rava had gotten a Jade Blade- better her than that giant metal guy. Minutes ticked by like sand trickling through an hourglass. Suddenly, the big guy (Karloff, apparently) charged in, out of breath. "Is Karloff too late? Is tiny girl here yet?" he asked, between wheezing breaths. With a slight jolt of shock, i realized that she must've grabbed the blade and then run away. She must've taken a more roundabout way to get to the room though, as she had yet to arrive."No... she's not here yet," Kai answered. Karloff relaxed. "Good- then Karloff guard entrance."He turned around to face the doorway, his large frame blocking the doorway. I frowned at him. That HAD to be cheating. There was no way she could get through THAT.

Rava's pov

I turned the corner- thank goodness the shadows concealed me quite nicely. i looked at the doorway and my mouth opened in a silent. Karloff was blocking the doorway, his large frame almost obscuring all the light from the room. I paused before looking down at the Jade Blade in her hands, then at Karloff. When i had no choice so i entered the doorway were Karloff was guarding. "Karloff won't let you passed. Give Karloff the Jade Blade."

I knew he would say that so i smirked at him. He looked at me strangely, almost like i was planning. I showed him the Jade Blade and said, "you want it, then come and get it."As i lunged at him and summon the wind, pointing at him. Karloff was watching the me intently when something blurred in his eyes. As he turned to see what it was, a sudden wind tornado crashed into his side, making him spin wildly on the spot. My feet thudded on the floor like machine-gun shots, and went over to the wall, where the blade was embedded. Hastily, I yanked it out and jumped onto the stage, placing the final Jade Blade in it's place. I looked at Karloff who was caught in a tornado, I snapped my finger as the wind disperse. Causing the other contestants to cheer. "We have a loser!" Chen declared, causing the others to look back at Karlof "That's not fair, she cheated!" Karlof argued, pointing to the master of air.

"There is one thing you should learn; Never let your guard down."I reminded. Then, I saw Chen pressed a button on his throne, and Karloff fell screaming through a trapdoor. My eye's shot up when i saw it.

I was walking to her room from the dining room, where I had sat with Invizable, Griffin Turner, Neuro, and Skylor (which i wouldn't mind) when I heard the ninja in Kai's room. That's strange... they weren't allowed in each other's rooms. I knew They were talking about... finding Zane? Before I knew what I was doing, I head back to my room coz i should'nt meddle with their affairs. I should be searching for Vatu and mistress. While walking to my room, I went passed by the boy i met; Rajah chen's pupil who was standing there when he saw me. "Having problem trusting yourself?"he spoke. I stopped and turned to him as he added, "if you don't know how to trust yourself then how would you be able to open yourself to others..." as he left. My eye's widened that he knew what he was talking about as i went inside my room. 'Trust my myself...open yourself to others. What did he mean?' Without thinking, I slammed my fist into the wall-

It slid open. I gaped at this new development before hastily stepping into the new tunnel, with the door shutting behind me with a sharp slam. "i wonder where this path leads." i said to myself as I wandered through the tunnels until I came across what appeared to be some of Chen's cultists. As they turned to go, i cast an illusion on myself to disguise as a male cultists and keeping my head down as i followed them.

Soon, Everyone was now in an area where i saw Chen, Clouse, and Chen's followers were currently at, even Rajah was there as well. The followers seem to be chanting some words but i couldn't make out what it means. Chen, who was holding his particular staff. He then slammed it on the ground. A loud clanging sound was heard. In the back, I noticed the cultists lowering into a bow. So, i hastily did as well, noticing the ones beside me didn't quite do it with the others. I nearly jumped out of my skin when i heard the ninja's voices. "Stop licking your tattoos, Cole!" one of the ninja hissed."I can't help it- they're chocolate!" 'So, they found the secret passageway as well. I wonder what this place is for.' i thought

"Bring out the loser!" Chen ordered. Just then, I saw two of his followers walked in. Holding Karlof hostage. "Keep hands off Karlof!" The metal elemental exclaimed as he struggled against their grip. "Karlof wished he didn't sign up for this!" He was then dropped in front of Chen."What is chanting for?" Karlof questioned."They're saying: Only one can remain." Chen answered. Silence took over for a few minutes before Chen continued."Like I said, use it or lose it."The two followers then grabbed Karlof again as Chen pointed the staff he was holding towards the metal elemental, I watched as his powers were taken away. "What...happened to my metal ?" Karlof questioned."Your metal? It's mine now." Chen answered, letting out a small laugh. "And now, I'll let you go."

"Really?"

"To the factory!"

I looked at the staff, completely surprised. 'He used the staff that takes away his elemental powers, which means he must have taken mistress power as well. Including zane' I thought until.....

"Intruders!"

I looked to see that the ninjas are being chased out by Chen's followers. I quickly got up and went after them by making myself invisible where no one is looking. I quickly went through the tunnel and find the ninjas. I turned to see at least half of the crowd of cultists approaching. I quickly turned off my illusion as i notice the ninjas are lost. I looked around and saw an empty tunnel. So i sighed and had no choice but to help the ninjas.

While the ninjas are figuring out a way to escape until a girl's voice whispered to Jay's ear. "Follow me if you want to live....." Jay said who was startled, "Wait...huh"

Without a word, she grabbed Jay's wrists and started towing them down the hallway. "Hey! What are you doing?! HEY!" yelled Kai from behind, but she ignored that and towed the ninja down the tunnel. She heard a flurry of footsteps, which showed that the ninja were following- which was her intent. She skidded around a few corners until she suddenly realized that the OTHER half of the cultists were approaching them, as well as the group from before. Nearly swearing, she looked up at the stone ceiling and calculated their chances of surviving if she collapsed part of the ceiling. Not really very large, so that was out.

Suddenly there was a clicking sound. She whipped around to see one of the ninja with his foot on a tripwire. She coughed , only slightly, but her eyes widened when a GIANT SNAKE started to rise from the ground. She towed the ninja down the tunnels, the others following not too far behind until she saw a tiny shaft above her head. Without a sound, she leapt in and began to squeeze down a side-shaft, with the other ninja scrambling behind her, trying desperately to escape the giant snake's snapping jaws. Something clicked, and all five of them fell through the floor onto the bed in Kai's room. Cole accidentally landed on top of someone, and he could feel a spurt of breath hitting him as the air whooshed out of his lungs. "Is everyone alright?" Lloyd asked. "Yeah, I think i landed on someone."Cole said as looked to who it was. It was Rava who was on the ground. The looks on the ninja's faces were absolutely priceless.

Cole face turned red when he was staring at her which made it awkward. "Um...do you mind?"Rava suggest. Cole snapped out of it as he gesture leaned over to help her. "You again?! Are you following us or something?!" Kai snapped, flinging his arms up. As she was fixing herself and stared at him. "I see that I'm not the only one who found the secret passage."Rava said to them, ignoring kai's anger.

Kai glared at her and started towards her, his fists clenching slightly, but Rava didn't even flinched or stammered. "I just happen to found this tunnel in my room and I disguise as one of the cultists then I snuck in and then you happened to be in there and then they started chasing you and then I ran after you. I notice that you were lost in the tunnel, so I couldn't just leave you to be caught. If it hadn't been for me, you would have been captured or let a snake eat you. But it would seem you won't be thanking me since your fiery firend is not satisfied" Rava explained. Kai's glare faded, and Rava was aware of the confused stares fixated on her. Lloyd asked, "why...why did you help us?" Rava blinked at Lloyd's questioned. Rava thought back and tried to think why did she helped them. She was only made to followed orders but yet she acted by her own, almost like her body moved by its own. As she stared at the ninjas and said uncomfortably, "I....do not know."

Jay said with a confuse look, "Woah Wait....you saved us and yet you don't know why you help us." I closed my eyes then opened them when i turned to the ninjas, changing the subject. "you saw what happened back there. One of your powers will be taken away, there is chance for you to leave this island and return to where you came." She warned. They thought about it until Kai answered to her, "we know but we have a long lost friend here who is held somewhere in this island. And we won't leave the island without him."Rava's eye widened when he replied to her, yet she was surprised that they would risk their life just to save a friend. Reminded of herself trying to protect her but didn't do a good job. She doesn't understand any of it. She sighed and said, "I see...."as she head for the door and turned to them, "your willing to risk your life? To save your long-lost friend?" The ninjas stared at each other then to her. "Yes, we will do anything to save our friend." Lloyd said as his friends walked to him with their confident look.

"So, that's your answer....I guess i can't ignore that, i once had someone to protect before. I admired your bravery...."she said until she gave them a cold eyes. "....But be warned it won't be easy, someday you might let your guard down."She edged out of the room and head back to her room.

In Kai's room, "is that a threat, an insult or a warning? I can't tell." Kai asked. Cole gave Lloyd a look. "What do you think she meant by, 'i once had someone to protect before? Do you think she has a story?" "I don't know... Dad said that she has a reason to but i don't know what is her motive," Lloyd responded, looking equally confused. "I'm not sure why she wanted us to leave..."Jay spoke up, sounding sheepish, "Well whatever her problem is kinda a mystery. Oh...We forgot to thank her for getting us out of there, though..." Cole said, his voice sounding somewhat business-like, "Well, then tomorrow, we'll thank her. And Kai, you apologize for being rude at her. I think she might be frustrated." Kai's brow puckered slightly before he nodded. "OK- that works, I guess." As the ninja snuck back to their respective rooms, Cole thought. He remembered him landing on her, and staring into a pair of shimmering eyes. Her eyes looked like cut gems, they sparkled so much...

Inside a dream

The Past

Deep within the forest, a young boy hunting for surviving. He wears wolfskin hood so that no one sees his face, he's a huntsman or huntsboy and he lives alone in the wood. He likes playing around in the forest and hunting there for food and sometimes trade. While he was strolling along the path preparing to hunt, He saw something down beside river stream there as he slide down the slope. The boy wondered when he saw a hand behind the tree, "Is that a person?"as he went closer. He could not believe what he saw the first time; an Anacondrai (with a tail).

It was his first time seeing up close, he heard all the stories about the serpentine. But this one, He had never seen one before but what he heard that there were rumors that slayers slayed some of the serpentines, he hated slayers coz they have no honor just pride and elemination. To him, huntsman has honor compared to the slayer.He examined the serpentine and notice he swept away by a icy river and brought it on shore. He grabbed a wolf dagger fron his small pouch and wanted to kill it so that he could honor himself . As he raised his wolf dagger in the air to ready to strike but when he looked at the serpentine, he felt kinda pity for a hatchling. He wanted to kill it but instead he couldn't have the guts to do it, he couldn't bear to see a hatchlng dead. He sighed and was about to leave but he couldn't leave an injured hatchling behind. He remembered his deceased father who was a huntsman once told him. 'every living creature deserve a second chance, even for a young one.'

So he carried an Anacondrai to his hideout behind the waterfall so that the slayers cannot find them, since his home was on fire due to a bullies from the slayer kids. They think of him as the weak one. Inside, He treated its wound on the serpentine as he put medicine on its scale, he wondered if it works for serpentine usually it was used for people. As he finished treating it, he watched the anacondrai hoping if it wakes up. He doesn't have a rope tie it so he hold on to his wolf dagger just in case as he fell asleep.

End of dream

Vatu gasped and quickly opened his eyes. He looked around the room, still "What was that....it looks like dream but it almost look like a vision of the past...." Vatu continued to look around the room. Tilted his head to the side, he tried to got up but was brought back down by chains. He huffed and sat down. He asked himself, "I wonder who was that boy....and that serpentine look like an Anacondrai but why is my dream showing me of the past?"

He kept wondering and wondering until he felt an aura that he haven't felt for awhile. He recognized the aura. "Zane....He's ok. He must be held somewhere just like me." Vatu said relieved. "I hope jinmay is ok. I wonder what happen to her?"

Rava's Pov

It was morning now and the elemental masters were getting their breakfast. I saw the ninjas, talking to one another. They were discussing about what they had witnessed last night. "Could I have two extra of those?" I asked, having noticed Lloyd's father Garmadon didn't have any. The cultist squinted at me before adding two extra of the ice-cream-sandwich things to my plate. I smiled politely before walking over to where the ninja standing.

I stuck the two extra ice-cream-sandwiches onto Garmadon's plate. All of the ninja noticed this move and looked up at me in surprise. "Erm.. thank you," said Garmadon, looking down at his tray before back up at me. I nodded my head as i was about to head to the table until one of the ninja spoke. Kai gave me a slightly sympathetic look. "How was your sleep last night?" I turned to him, mildly uncomfortably. "It was ...quite relaxing." Kai let go of his tray with one hand to scratch at the back of his neck sheepishly. "Look, Rava right?....sorry about last night,....I just got kind of annoyed, I guess."

"It is i should be the one to apologize, Master of Fire" I said apologetically, before looking away."it is because of my insult that made your fire burned. My time in this land had made me harsh and rude. Forgive me." "Uh, its cool....you don't have to address us formally, y'know. We have names."Kai said. "It is natural for me to address whenever i encounter an elemental master and i must respect that." I insisted.

I sense that Jay, Cole, Lloyd, Kai, and Sensei Garmadon shared a look of what seemed to be worry about me. Lloyd asked, "By the way, last night.....what you said back there? What do you mean by, 'i once protected someone before?'" I looked up at him, blinking in surprise before i became silently.

I let out a low sigh and staring down at my tray, I couldn't answer them until they were distracted by Jay and Cole argument about something. I seemed to go into a daze thinking about why I said that in front of the ninjas. Suddenly, the loudspeaker crackled, very effectively shrugged in response as i out of my daze. I turned to look at the speaker and soon heard the intercom turn on.. "Hello!" came Chen's strangely cheerful voice.

"The Tournament of Elements continues...Fun time! Would the following masters please make their way to their assigned arena? speed, gravity, mind, nature..."

"Maybe all of us'll have a day off!" said Jay hopefully.

"Smoke, and... fire!"

I turned to them, All of the ninja looked shocked even for Kai, but Chen was not done talking.

"Oh, and two more... Poison and Air!"

I blinked in shock, now frozen. That I'm up against the master of Poison.

"Remember, only one can remain."

After Griffin Turner defeated Gravis, Neuro defeated Bolobo, and Kai beat Ash (to the ninja's  and surprisingly, Skylor's relief), it was Rava's turn. She took a deep breathe as she stepped out onto the field, which was essentially two tiny platforms with stepping stones over a huge ocean of water, the Jade Blade glimmering on one of the tiniest ones. Tox, the master of poison with her eerie green eyes and head of green hair, smirked at her from across the water, which Rava ignores her expression. "Let the fight begin!" shouted Chen. Rava watched as Tox began to jump from stepping stone to stepping stone, barely avoiding falling off, for a moment before suddenly remembering what she was supposed to be doing. She began to hum, under her breath. Slowly, the wind is telling her that a certain rock is sturdy more effectively than others. She quickly jumped to one of those before hopping to another one. Meanwhile, Tox was halfway to the blade when the stepping stone beneath her gave way and began to crumble into the water---

She grabbed a nearby stepping stone, saving herself from certain death. Rava felt disappointed- and then sickened by her train of thought. As she began to hop from the stepping stone she was on to another one until her eyes widened as a greenish fog began to spray from Tox's fingers, very quickly eating up the distance between Rava and the poisonous fog. Rava hesitated as she summoned her wind to cast the poison fog away, causing it to disperse. Immediately, she hopped from one stone to another, getting closer to the Jade Blade with each hop. Scowling, Tox clambered back onto the stepping stone before running to grab the Jade Blade....

The stepping stone beneath her crumbled, and Tox found herself falling towards the water, with nothing to catch her. Rava hastily blow into her hand as a tornado began to form, catching Tox mid-fall and throwing her back onto the nearest, sturdy stepping stone, although it was not too close to the Jade Blade. Stunned, Tox could only watch as Rav picked up the Jade Blade, feeling the slightly heavy hilt in her hands. "We have a loser!" Chen crowed, before hitting another button. A trapdoor opened below Tox, on her rather thick stepping stone, and Tox fell, screaming into it.

Rava stared at the jade blade who is not feeling guilty over the master poison. She turned around and left. The ninjas were impressed by her skills, even sensei Garmadon. Jay said, "she's good, despite of her creepy and gloomy attitude." As she stepped off the field, she turned to the ninja as she gave jay a piercing gaze. Jay stammered when he know she was looking at him. Kai stated, "I think she heard you." she looked away and she momentarily met Rajah's gaze. It was cold. Like a snake's. His eyes widened and he slowly turned away, focusing his gaze elsewhere for the moment.

A moment later, she bumped into someone. She looked to see who it was, turns out to be Cole as he turned around again, his expression sheepishly. "oh its you...well...um....good job...you know, i'm impressed by your agility. I gotta hand it to you. I guess your reaching your limit better as i do."Rava notice his cheeks were slight red as she asked, "Master of Earth, are you flattering me?" His eyes shot up and answered, "Me? Flattering you...well, I...." he didn't get to finish his sentense as Rava hushed him on his lip. "If i were you, I should be concern about your friends rather than me. Master of Earth."as she walked passed him. Cole turned around and noted, "It's Cole and don't you forget that. Could just try to call us in a normal way instead." Rava rolled her eyes and said, "Even if i do, it won't be respective." as she left the corridor.

At night, Garmadon was staring at the ocean wondering about Rava the way she fight is very skillful and honorable but yet he notice her eyes were cold almost like her heart isn't there. As he was about to head back until he sensed someone is following him. He peered over his shoulder to see that a stranger in black hood hiding behind the tree. He pretend that he didn't saw it as he went to the other side, the mysterious hood followed him when all of a sudden Garmadon came out of hiding as he grabbed the arm and twisted behind it. "WHO ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?" he demanded as he was about to reach for the hood. That's when the stranger did something unexpectedly. The stranger spun into a vortex causing Garmadon to be pushed back. He was shocked that stranger is doing spinjitzu, he notice the color is just like his. As the stranger stopped, he stood there where the shadow covered the face. Garmadon got into his fighting stance when the stranger spoke. "wait... I did not come here to fight but to give you warning." garmadon blinked at the stranger turns out to be a female voice, as he stand down.

"I want to know. Who are you and how did you learn spinjitsu"

" All in due time, but not today right now we have other matters to discuss. Listen, If you don't find a way to convince the elemental masters to help you, then all will be lost. Chen won't go easy when he has all the powers after the tournament is over."

Garmadon asked, "What? Why are you telling me this?"

"Because your the only one the ninjas trust, including your son."

"if you know something, maybe you can tell me what Chen and Clouse is planning."

"I don't know but what i believed is that they are planning to bring back something that was left in the past. Sorry, that's all i got.

"I see. I may not know who you are but thank you for telling me this."

"No problem, after all it is the least i can do since the last time we met."

"Last time.....?"

"Look i can't explained the details, right now i must go before i'm spotted."

She bowed her head and was about to leave, she halt and turned to as she forgot to

mentioned. "Oh...aslo you better find a way to keep your team together."

Garmadon gave a confuse look, "What? Why?"

She took a deep sighed and said, "Because tomorrow your team will be fighting against each other." as she disappeared into the night.

Rava's POv

Later that day, I saw the other elemental masters crowding around the place were the brackets were displayed. I looked confused and decided to see who is up against. I shouldered my way through the crowd, but when I finally see the brackets, my eyes wide open in shock for a full minute. Turns out the next tournament is: the Master of lightning is up against the Master of Earth. I carefully went came out, i saw the ninjas who were discussing who they thought were going to battle next.

'They're not going to be expecting this', I thought in a slight daze. I went over to the ninjas who saw me and asked who is up against "the next fight......?" I said calmly. "Master of lighting will be up against Master of Earth"There was a stunned silence until Jay shattered it with a disbelieving, "But- we're not supposed to be fighting each other! It... was supposed to be our day off..."

I said, "yes, I didn't think you would be up against one another for a while either, it would seem fate has interwined..." as i left the scene. I turned to the ninjas were discussing and finding away to prevent this from happening.

It was nighttime, I was at the courtyard still couldn't find where Vatu and mistress was held until i saw the ninja went to talk to one of the elemental masters to see if they would help them as i hid."We need your help, Neuro." Lloyd said. "You think I can get close to Chen so you can find your robotic friend and won't have to fight." Neuro said."And don't forget-" Kai began but was interrupted."You still need to know what Chen is up to because he's hiding something." Neuro explained."That's really impressive, Nerdo." Jay commented. Neuro turned to face the ninja. "It's Neuro, Master of the Mind and Cole thinks Jay won't last long in the fight." I was observing the ninjas as jay and cole began to fight each other much to their dismay. Lloyd explained the situation and Neuro who saw through lloyd's min as he agreed.

I watched as the ninjas went back and i came out of hiding, walking towards Neuro until he spoke. "I knew you were hiding there and you seemed to be concerned about the ninjas." he asked. "Not at all, Master of Mind in fact trying to see what Chen's plan is not easy to infiltrate." I said to him. "do you always call our respective names formally."He asked. I turned to him and gave him a little nod. I notice he was touching his head as though he was reading mind until his eye's filled with concern when he realize who i was. "Your not what i seemed you claim to be. However, your mind is clouded with emptiness almost like your heart wasn't there. "It would seem that i underestimated you. Your indeed correct I am not what i claimed to be but i did what i had to do. I will not leave until i got what i need because i was made to do."I said as i head back. Neuro said almost silently behind me, "your unfortunate person, your like a heartless puppet who only follows order. What will others think of you if you don't tell them how you feel?" before getting up off the rock and left the courtyard. I stoppred and thought what he said. It's just like what Vatu and Rajah used to say the same thing. I couldn't understand any of it of what they meant. Why would anyone care for someone if they can't prevent/ protect from happening?

Vatu's Pov

I whined as I struggled against the chains. I had been doing this for about five minutes now and was beginning to get tired. Letting out a huff, I gave up. Until, my eyes are getting heavy and lightheaded as i fell asleep. Again, i had the glimpse of the past.

The huntsboy woke up and notice a sharp object pointing on his neck, he looked up to see that an Anacondrai was holding his wolf dagger. He was paralyze until he notice his snake eyes is shuddering in fear as the hatchling looked at himself and realize he was wrapped in bandage that he treated then turned to him. "Why?...."

The boy blinked when he heard the first time that an Anacondrai spoke and turned out he's a boy. "Why...Why did you help me? Your my enemy.....You slayed most of our tribes but yet you spared me....." It ask, shaking the wolf dagger. He answered, "Relax...I 'm not going to hurt you. I'm not like those slayers, the ones who hunt you sepentines are called slayers. I'm just a huntsman or huntsboy to be exact." It stared at him carefully, still pointing the wolf dagger. "slayers...?" he said. " Look see i don't have a weapon, i'm defenseless. Your holding the only weapon i had" He said showing that he has no weapon (except theres a wooden spear but used for hunting/fishing).

He slowly put down the dagger until its stomach is making a grumbling noise. He noticed it and stood up but the anacondrai was still holding a wolf dagger. the anacondrai watched as the boy went into the boiling pot, cooking something, grabbed the bowls and placed them on the ground. The anacondrai stared at the bowl of soup then at the boy who started eating it. The boy notice the anacondrai wasn't eating it. He sighed and said, "Your hungry, right? It's fish stew and don't worry i swear its not poison. trust me." The anacondrai stared at the bowl of soup as it slowly picked it up, put down the wolf dagger and taste it. The anacondrai started eating it which made the boy smiled as took the wolf dagger from the anacondrai.He saw the boy taking the dagger and thinks he's going to strike him but instead he put it on his pouch, the hatchling looked confused. the boy notice it's bowl is empty. He politely asked, "Would you like seconds?" the ancondrai looked at its bowl and gave it to him. He grabbed the bowl and gave seconds to the hatchling

He keeps staring at the anacondrai until he asked a question. "Hey..Um...what is your name anyway?" the anacondrai stared at the huntsboy who was curious to know. "do you have a name." the huntsboy asked. The ancondrai didn't said a word so he decided. "Well, if you can't tell me your name then i'll just have to call you one. Hmmm....your a serpentine and you have sharp fangs so i think i'll call you kiba."the huntsboy said. The ancondrai blinked and spoke, "Kiba?....that is not my name...."

"why? Beside you wouldn't tell me your name so i called you by that nickname so bear with it. Kiba has a meaning, it means fang coz you have sharp teeth"

The anacondrai became speechless almost as if he was toying and asked, "Then, what is your name?"

"gee, i love to tell you but since you won't tell me yours so i guess i won't tell you my name as well.."

The anacondrai pouted at him and said, "so what shall i call you then?"

"In that case, call me Lonewolf coz i lived alone in the woods and hunt for survival like a wolf. "He smiled at the ancondrai which made it felt uneasy.

"So, where is your home? Do you have a family?" he asked. the hatchling looked away from him midly uncomfortable, staring towards the trees. LoneWolf asked, "Is it far?" the anacondrai was silent as if it doesn't want to tell him the location but lonewolf doesn't mind if it doesn't want to. He turned to see that it was night time, he got up and head to his bed (he made it look like a nest made with bushes). He yawned and turned to the hatchling. "you should get some rest after all you need to recover."He said. The ancondrai turned to him and said, " we ancondrai can recover very fast but how do you know i won't try to run or hurt you?"

"it's best not to coz every night the slayers put booby traps everywhere. So, you should wait till tomorrow morning coz I know a safest way to get past these traps. Plus, don't think of trying to harm me , i don't think my dagger won't help you coz it's with me." as he dozed off to sleep.

A minute later, he opened his eyes and notice the anacondrai wasn't there, he relized that He must have left. He hurriedly went out to search for the anacondrai before the slayers find it. As he was searching he heard rumbling sound, he head over there and saw a pit hole where there is sharp wooden stakes. He also saw the anacondrai was holding a grip on the edge to prevent him from falling but not much longer. the anacondrai's grip was about to slip as he was about to fell until the boy was quick and grabbed its hand. The ancondrai looked up to see that he grabbed its hand, the boy couldn't barely gripped hold long enough until he said, "Quick, Give me your other hand." as extend his other arm to the hatchling. The ancondrai looked at him worriedly as it felt scared that he might let go but..."Pls trust me, i won't let you fall," he begged. the ancondrai thought about it as it immediately grabbed his hand better than falling to its demise. He pulled the the hatchling up away from the pit hole as the anacondrai was pulled safely. The huntsboy panted as the anacondrai stared at him looking confused. Lonewolf turned to hatchling," See, I told you....there were booby traps everywhere....I was worried that you could have been snakesplat, its a good thing i came just in time." the anacondrai eye's is filled with curiosity that he was looking for him. He said, "I don't understand. You... saved me again. Why would you do that? " the huntsboy said, "Well, I don't know, I just did what my instincts tell me." as he stopped and saw a lights then turned to the anacondrai. "can you turn invisible?" it nodded, looking confused.

"Quick make yourself invisble"

"what?"

"Just do it ."

And it did what he was told, Lonewolf said, "stay hidden and don't make a sound." the huntsboy and turned to the flashing lights heading towards him. The 3 boys appeared holding their flashlights, one young man with dark brown hair walked as he saw the huntsboy. "Well Well...If it isn't the son of Lonewolf."

Lonewolf glared at him, "Gowli." Gowli went towards the pit hole then at the huntsboy, "Woooo, for second there if it hadn't been you down there. It might be messy." causing the 2 boys to laugh at him. The huntsboy felt an anger inside him, wanting to hurt him but instead he hold it in. "Well, says the slayers who can't even hunt their own food and fights with no honor ."lonewolf mocked. Gowli grabbed him on the collar and began to taunt him, "look who's talking big? Kid, If you mock me again, your gonna regret it and beside your daddy isn't here to help you since your alone in this lowly woods." the huntsboy turned away from him as Gowli let go of his collar and head back to the village.

Lonewolf watched as they are gone then turned to where he was standing. "ok the coast is clear, you can come out."he said in a low voice. The anacondrai appeared and slithered towards him. lonewolf said in relief, "phew, i thought for a second there he might have notice you. If he did, he would have slain you." the anacondrai looked at him shyly as it looked down on the ground looking ashamed. "I'm sorry about that...."the anacondrai apologethic. The huntsboy said, "its fine don't blame yourself, its my fault i shouldn't have let my guard down."the ancondrai stared at him with a depressed look. Lonewolf notice that it was homesick and was alone, wanting to go back to its tribe. He sighed and questioned, "Do you really want to go back to your so badly? Even though there were traps everywhere?" The ancondrai looked sad as he lowered his head, lonewolf gave a gentle smile and said, "ok, i know a way to safest place past these traps but....you have to stick with me and follow me, understand."the ancondrai looked up and felt surprised.

Underground

"I did not know there's a secret tunnel way underneath the waterfall. It's just like snake burrow."the anacondrai said with surprised. Lonewolf said, "Yeah my dad and i made this so that way we can sneak in any places, including used for hunting."As they made it through the tunnels, they reached the outside the cave. They were on the other side of forest on the cliff. It was still night time, the anacondrai turned to the huntsboy who was glad they made it. Lonewolf said, "Well, guess its goodbye. I hope you be careful and try not to get lost, ok." the ancondrai said in curiosity, "it's strange?"

"what?"

" I'm a serpentine and your a human. I tried to kill you and try to run away. Yet you saved me not once, but twice from that man who was called a slayer. Your not like the other humans. "

"*rubbing his head with his right arm* well, my father used to say that if you see a youngling, let them go coz it has a family and i asked him why did he spared it......"

The ancondrai stared at him with its' eye widened, as he continued.

"He said to me, "because everyone deserves a second chance. Everyone is a part of ninjago, even living creatures are a part of it as well."that's what he told me. Even though your a serpentine, your part of it as well. When i saw you injured, i couldn't bear to see you like that."

the anacondrai stared at him with disbelief that he was letting it go.The huntboy saw almost sunrise and told him.

"You should get going beside you have a family to go back home huh. So, you better get going. Don't worry i won't tell anyone about you."as he was about to head back, "Wait...."the anacondrai stopped him. As the huntsboy turned to him.

"How do i know you won't tell anyone?" "What do you mean?"

"I still don't trust you. Beside, the moment i go back to my tribe, you might tell the slayers where our tribe is. And you should know our tribe is the strongest compare to your slayers..."

"Then how do i convince you to gain my trust?"he thought of it then came to him as he removed something around his wrist, went towards the anacondrai and placed it on its wrist. The hatchling stared at it, it is a bracelet that has a tooth hanging.

"that is a wolf teeth, they say it symbolizes as an alliance to animals. I thought maybe you should consider this as my solemn promise to you."

the anacondrai looked at him sternly as it pulled out one his scale. "Here." He handed him the purple scale. Lonewolf asked, "what this?..."

"It is called a scale promise. When a Serpentine makes a promise, they pull out a scale and give it to the person they make a promise with. Since your human, I'll just have to take this *showing the bracelet with a wolf teeth* your word for it." the huntsboy looked down at the scale, then back at him.

"alright."

"I hope you keep your word because you see, when you make a promise to Serpentine, he must fulfill it, or else there might be consequences."

"...And that is."

"believe me you don't wanna know, i've seen broken promises before and it's not...."

"Oh ok so that means you trust me..."

"For now, promise you won't tell anyone, not even your family."

"hey, i don't think i won't be telling anyone, who could i tell. also i'm the only one lives in the wood."

The ancondrai gave him a confused look and asked in realization, "You mean...you have no family?"

"Not exactly..."        "Not even a mother"

the huntsboy lowered his eye and lowered his head. the anacondrai notice it and asked, "Don't...you have a father?"

"I do...but he left this world."        "Oh then your all alone."

the huntsboy turned to the anacondrai and said, "that's ok i'm fine being myself. You better go now and don't worry *he hold the purple scale in font of his face* I'll be sure to keep my promise. Take care yourself." as he head back to the cave. Leaving the anacondrai heading back to its tribe.

End the dream

I woke up so suddenly, breathing heavily. "what the? Again. Why am i seeing these dreams lately? And that purple scale haven't i seen it before, it looks  like the one i had before. Why did he has the same scale as i do?" i said to myself.

While i was thnking until i heard two men are coming, so i pretend to be asleep. The two men looked through the door to check on me. They began to talk.

"Is he asleep?"     "Yeah, he is "

"Have you heard? Those two are going to fight on the next tournament. Which one do you thnk who'll win?"

"the black one.....i don't like the blue one. "

'black and blue?.....that must be cole and jay. That means the ninjas are here on the island. They must be here for Zane' i exclaimed while listening to their conversaton.

"Anyway what do you think of the emo girl?"

"you mean that ninja of air. Yeah she's kinda hot and the way how she handle that poison girl , she seem to be one hard core."as they head back. I opened my eyes and hear that they left.

"emo girl?.....Rava! She must have found my message but....ninja of air really? Did she just partcipate in the game. She must be looking for me and jinmay, *sigh* I hope they don't find out who she was." I whiseperd worriedly.

Rava's pov

While i was heading for the stadium, I saw Cole who was heading there. I notice he looks determine to fight but deep down i felt a hesitation inside him. Cole saw me passing by. I asked him, "Do you really want to fight him that badly? Even though he is a part of your team?"

Cole answered, "even if i had to, beside i have to fight him even if it means winning."as he head to the stadium arena.

I let out a sigh and said, "If that's your answer, then i won't stop you. But you do know your letting your anger cloud your judjdement. I don't see why these feelings are needed."as i turned away from him.

"hey, if you were me, would you fight your own friend?"

I halted by his questioned and lowered my head, thinking about Vatu and mistress. I answered, "Depends, I'll do anything to fight for the one to protect. And I hope you do the same thing."

Cole stared at me surprisingly as if he doesn't know what i means as he watched me head for stadium. I reninded, "Good luck fighting the Master of Lightning, Master of Earth. "

In the stadium

Jay and Cole train for the match, each destroying a punching bag with a picture of their opponent. Neuro then approaches and tells Kai what he discovered: Clouse has a spell book where the page marked 149 has a spell that requires everyone's powers, though he couldn't find a way to stop the fight. Neither Jay nor Cole are unfazed by this, though Lloyd reminds the Black Ninja that Chen is their enemy and they have control over how they fight. Cole tells him that when Lloyd joined the Ninja, "Wu once said 'the best way to fight an enemy was to make them your friend,' but how are you suppose to defeat your friend?" As the fight begins, Garmadon tells his son and the Masters of Fire and Mind the rest is now up to them while Lloyd states they need to realize. Chen begins to announce the fight, though the two Ninja immediately begin fighting and trash talking each other. Amused his plan went better than he expected, Chen commands Clouse to get him popcorn.

While watching those two fight, Neuro then noticed Rava hanging by the railing, staring at the battle. He nudged the Master of Fire, who turned to look. Lloyd came over and saw the two of them regarding Rava silently.Lloyd walked over to Aria and tapped her on the shoulder. Rava twisted to face him, clouded eyes as her entire body slumped slightly. "Oh... it's just you." "Who else would it be?" asked Lloyd with a grin. Rava didn't return it, making Lloyd frown as she turned back to watch Cole and Jay fighting. Finally, he tapped her on the shoulder again. She looked at him. "Yes?"

"durng this mornIng, you haven't answered my question. You said you once protected someone before, Could it be......Did you really protect someone a long time ago?"

Finally, her cautious faded, but her regretful remained on her face. "I don't understand...." she said, before turning to face Cole and Jay

"huh?"

"Your friends are fighting each other but yet you tried to prevent them from fighting and failed. Still those two are determine to protect each other. I don't understand at all.....How could you protect someone when you are fighting one of your own? Do you have the answer, Green Ninja?"

Lloyd stared at her confusely and couldn't think of a way to answer her so he put his hand on her shoulder, making her tense slightly. "I don't know how to answer that but i do know they'll be fine because we're a team. No matter how we're separated, we'll always find a way to bring ourselves together," Lloyd said quietly. Rava gave him a curious look before returning to watching the two of them battle.

Later, after Cole lost, Rava watched as the ninja talked amongst one another in subdued tones. She turned around to leave. She couldn't stop thinking about lloyd's answer but deep down she felt bad for Cole. when she took the left turn before almost smashing headlong into-

Her heart jumped into her throat when she saw who it was, but she forced herself to say politely at Rajah. "sorry, i didn't see you" she said, with a cold face. Rajah stared at her in a way that made her head tingle. "Hmm, that's a nice scarf your wearing. made by silkworm thread , wouldn't you agree?" Rava didn't reply to her as he mused finally."Plus, I wouldn't have expected a weak and heartless girl like you to help the ninja."

"I wasn't helpimg the ninjas and i'm not one of them." she said. Rajah grin and said, "Also the way you stared at Cole, you seem so fixated on him.Oh well, I suppose opposites attract."He walked off, but all Rava was really aware of was the fact that her heart was pounding in her chest like a bass drum. And that her back was starting to tingle with pain, she couldn't quite help that something about him is making her feel cautious.

Rajah heads to the room where Clouse is, Clouse turned to him with a curious look. Rajah asked, "is something the matter, Clouse?"

Clouse said, "there's something mysterious about our uninvited ninja."

"You mean the master of air"

"Yes, I had a feeling she is not what she seems. Rajah, make sure to keep a close eye on her, I want to know what she was planing." as he left the door.

"As you wish" as he touched the bracelet from his wrist, as it morph revealing jinmay's shimu staff. As he smirked at the staff, as it morph back and went to investigate on this master of air.

NINJA ROLL

Rava was rushing around, searching around the temple roof without anyone seeing her. "Hmmm, why must they all look almost exactly the same?! At this rate, i won't be able to find them." she growled, looking around frantically. As she head back inside the temple smoothly, until she crashed into someone, forcing all of the breath from her body. "Oh ts just you, sorry," apologized a voice that she recognized. "hello master of fire, it seems your lost," Rava replied, regaining her balance. Kai's amber eyes widened slightly in surprise. " I guess we're the same, huh"Kai said. Rava glanced over at the temple they were next to. "Not exactly, I think we're here, you need to work on your sense of direction" she said quickly, and ka looked peeved by her attitude before he could say anything else she dodged inside. Kai began to make his way through the crowd towards his friends, stepping on everyone's feet in the process. She rolled her eyes. "careless," she muttered softly, slightly before turning her eyes to the match. It seemed to be the master of sound, Jacob and Skylor, the red haired girl.

"Ah, Skylor's fighting?" Kai gasped."Kai had a crush on her until he found out that they might be related," Jay informed Sensei Garmadon."She's not the Master of Fire- she's the master of Amber, the power to absorb other's powers," Sensei Garmadon said, sounding slightly disbelieving. Kai gasped and turned to Sensei Garmadon, his eyes wide with shock and- dare I say it? A little hope. "You mean we're NOT RELATED?!" he almost shouted. The battle ended with Skylor winning (to Kai's immense relief), and Chen stepped forward to announce that he was planning to give everyone jewels. Rava raised an eyebrow. 'strange, Chen didn't sound like that kind of person to say that. This had to be some trick,' Rava thought suspectectedly."But, due to Jay refusing to fight Cole yesterday, I've taken away all of your shiny jewels, and everyone is going to be sleeping in the chow house tonight." 'Ah, there was the trick,' Rava thought, letting out a sigh. "Way to go, Jay!" Kai snapped. Rava blinked and looked over at him. "I highly doubt Chen was actually going to give them jewels in the first place," she said dubiously to herelf until she heard Garmadon's interuption."If you don't make friends with the others," Sensei Garmadon interrupted, his voice low but filled with a tone that made all of the ninja look at him, "they will try to eliminate you by any means necessary."

As the ninja began to leave the temple, talking amongst themselves, Rava watched as Garmadon went with them. "Make friends, if only were that simple" she sighed.

At the Chow house, the elemental masters and protectors were resting. Well...mostly. Rava who is awake (Even she's a guardian of the sky, she's much of a nightsleeper) she was staring at the ceiliing wondering if she was able to find them until she heard a whisper in her head that she hasn't heard for awhile.

'Rava.....'

'Mistress (she meant jinmay)....is that you?'she blinked when trying to speak to her.

'Rava.......you....must..... help lloyd..... '

Rava notice her voice was somehow in pain almost as if she's in agony

' Mistress, what do you mean? Help lloyd?'

' To win the next......tournament....you're the only one i chould count on'

'Mistress, just tell me where you are. I'll come and get you.'

'no....agh....I haven't got much time....I'm using my last strength ....to speak to you.....Make sure llod stays in the next tournament....pls....Don't look for me i'll be fine.....ah! They're coming... hurry'as she went off.

'Mistress...mistress....are you ok?....answer me.' as she cleched her forhead trying to reach her but still didn't reply. "Do not worry, mistress i will find you. If that is your wish, then i shall follow,"Rava said in a low voice.

Suddenly the lights were on, as she quickly pretend to sleep. The sound of a gong had waken up the other contestants."Morning fighters, or that's right, it's the middle of the night." Clouse said. A group of Chen's followers began to place something on the contestant's legs.

She winced before struggling to sit up. "What is this?" she muttered, as some of the cultist/servants put roller skates on her feet. It was her first time seeing it coz she never seen shoes with wheels before. She got up off the bed, testing them out.They were good quality skates; not too bad also she's getting a hang of it really quick. While everyone else seemed rather good at (or at least all right) what they were doing on the skates, i notice Kai was having problems; he kept slipping and falling flat on his face. It seems he wasn't good with skates. She rolled her eyes and skated over to the elemental masters who were gathered around Clouse.

"Master Chen wants everyone in the Royal Arena, I wouldn't be late if I were you." Clouse said."If most of us have already fought, why are we all in skates?" Skylor questioned."The two of you will be fighting. But the rest of you will...affect the outcome." Clouse told her."Who's fighting? Tell us now!" Turner said, curious."The Green Ninja versus the Master of Form." Clouse answered before closing the door. The elemental masters began muttering after Clouse left.'So, Lloyd is going to fight the Master of Form, Hmmmm.' Rava thought. As she looked to her side, however, she notice Lloyd with Kai until she suspected he wasn't the master of fire in time, as skate over there. (She has a sharp eye beside she cast illusion, its the same thing as changing form so she can tell the difference between a fake and real ;) )

"Master of form? Who's that? Llyod asked. "You haven't heard? I hear she can lool like anyone. She'll be right under your nose, and by the time you've figured it out, she's already discovered all your weaknesses. Then, it's game over, but, your the green ninja, what weaknesses could you have?" Kai asked. Lloyd looked like he was about to say something, when Rava cut in. "Sorry to cut in but shouldn't you be elsewhere instead. Also you shouldn't be asking him that."Rava shot up in Kai's face. "Hey, I'm his teamate, i think i'm allowed to talk to him."Kai pushed her. Rava smirked slightly, "Is that so?..... So that you can use his weakness against him. Too bad, you may have fooled anyone, but not me."

"wha....what are you talking about?"

"Do not play coy with me, I can tell the difference between truth and lies hidden behind your face. So, I know when i see one" She crossed her arms. Kai narrowed his eyebrows, and his face heated up in anger. Lloyd thought for a second of what Rava said. 'What did she mean by that?'  he began to asked, "Hey, Rava What are you---?"

He never get to finished as Rava walked over to Kai, grabbed his hair and threw him to the floor and Kai let out a girlish scream. 'huh, Kai doesn't scream like that' Lloyd thought. "kai?" lloyd asked. He was taken aback when he saw Kai's hair turn purple and the rest of his body morphed into a different figure, a girl. Both lloyd and jay looked at the girl in shock as Kai came to see what was going on. Rava stand in front of her when she regained herself. Rava reminded, "So, shown your true identity., are uoy? You should learn to watch your back, Master of Form."She managed to dodge a punch that the master of form threw and twisted her arm behind her back. The master of form fell to the floor and Rava skated away, staring at the ninja in triumph.

"How...How did you know? She looked exactly like him"Jay asked. Rava replied, "I know the difference between real and fake. Also, it was simple because that one could skate." "Hey!" Kai shouted. "Uh, Gee thx Rava."Lloyd said. "Gratitude is not needed. I should also say the same thing to you, Green Ninja. You should consider watching your back from now. So, keep your guard up."She said vaguely as she skate away. Kai and Jay stared at her with their disbelieved look. "Ok, first she's rude, then she was not kind to us, and now she tells us to keep our guard up. What's her problem?" Jay said with surly look. Lloyd stared at her and wondered why did she gave advice to him.

The fighters skated to the arena, "I don't like the look of this,"Lloyd said worriedly. "Don't worry, we got your back. Waa!," Kai fell over again. Kai was still wobbly on his skates as they all reached the arena. The arena was a big skating course, and Chen came up to greet the fighters, also on skates. "Welcome to my favourite event, Thunder Blade!"Chen announced. "Hey, I know this game! It's, just like----"Turner began. "No! It's not like that, this is my game! I made it up! Fully original!"Chen snapped. He picked up a jade blade and a greeen helmet and threw it to Lloyd, "A jade blade for you Lloyd, master of power," he picked up another jade and a orange helmet, "And another for Camille master of form... Were- were are you?"Camille reappeared after previously blending in with the background, "Ah there you are! The rules are simple, each lap you complete with your jade blade in possession, a point! Most points before time expires, you win!"

"Whoh whoh whoh, what about us? Are we supposed to just stand here?" Turner asked. "You get to help anyone you wish, or hurt for that matter,"Chen smiled not so friendly, "you're free to choose sides, I'm not a dictator!" Most of the elemental masters pushed past the ninja to grab a orange helmet and join Camille's side."What was that you said about us having targets on our back?"Lloyd asked Jay. "Don't worry we're still a teeee- ugh!" Kai fell over again. "I gotta be honest, this doesn't look good"Jay looked over at the other team.

Kai was trying to get up when a hand reached out to him, it was Rava, repressed a sigh and she was holding a green helmet. "Wait, You're on our side?"Kai asked. "do not thibk highly of me,"as she wear the helmet and buckle it, "I did not come here just to be part of the team, however seeing the opposite team has made you feel disadvantage and fair so i should consider take part of it. For now." "So, you just play along and that's it"Jay complained. "yes, is there a problem?"Rava replied. "uh...nothing" JAy said meekly. "now then, you have tournament to win."Rava mentioned as she skate to the starting line.

The score board shows both Lloyd and Camille at zero. "Lloyd, master of power versus Camille master of form!Chen announced, "Most laps complete with a jade blade wins! Loser is out! Thunder bladers on your mark, get set... Gooood luck to everyone, but mostly Camille because we all want the green ninja out!"Lloyd looked slightly worried. "Now go!"A horn sounded and Lloyd and Camille set off around the track."Oh! How about some spectator ambiance!"Chen suggested, he pushed a button which made the speakers sound like there was a cheering crowd. Another horn sounded and the rest of the fighters set off. "Its us against the world guys! If Lloyd has any chance of moving forward in the tournament it's up to us!" Jay told the team. They all nodded. The Skylor skated up beside Kai, who was still struggling with keeping his balance. "Lloyd is your greatest competition, if he loses today what's left to stand in the way from winning at all?" She asked him. Kai said ,"I never think of it."and looked away "Well maybe you should,"Skylor said when she was take aback by his reply so she skated away, pushing Kai over in the process. The guards laughed at Kai as he fell.

Lloyd and Camille both completed a lap and each had one point. You're supposed to be helping! Not hurting his chances!"Jay questioned Kai as he tried to pick himself up. "Thanks for the tip, but I can't skate!"Kai said as he started to accidentally began to state backwards. Rava facepalmed when she saw the two ninjas while skating.

Time Skipped

"Thunder blade never fails to deliver!"Clapped Chen, "You know I hold the record for 100 points! Clouse go on tell us, tell them Clouse!""You were born with skates on master," Clouse rolled his eyes."True story!" Rajah who was beside Chen rolled his eyes as well, "Yes, Indeed." "True story... Hah! Like all of his far fetched endeavours,"Garmadon thought outloud. Clouse crept up behind him, "There was a time when you were quite comfortable with lying, it worked on Misako didn't it?"; He said in his sly tone. "Buttons, buttons, I love buttons!"Chen chanted as he looked over his control panel. Chen starts using his control panel and activates a ramp to stop Lloyd, though it doesn't stop him. Rava manage to sense the trap and dodge easily, couldn't catch up with Lloyd and Jay.

Jay then whips Lloyd only to discover it's Chamille in disguise. She then orders Shadow to hit Lloyd's back, succeeding and making him drop his Jadeblade. then takes it, only for Jay to take it back and knock him off the track. Everyone does whatever they can to stop the Ninja (with only Kai taking the hits), with Chen even releasing a to extend Chamille's lead. Lloyd is soon ambushed by Paleman, Shade and even Neuro, and when Jay tries to help, Turner accelerates him around the track and into the , though it helps his back.

Skylor comes up to Kai, saying he's convincing and Lloyd will soon be eliminated. With the score now 8-5, Kai decides to help, despite not keeping balanced and uses his to hit Chamille and the buggy to topple over, making her drop her Blade, allowing Jay to take it. "What are you doing!? We need Lloyd out!"Skylor told Kai as he was recovering from getting skated over. "We need to stick together! I'm a ninja!"Kai shot back. "Oh that's right, and the rest of us aren't. I shold have known better..."Skylor skated away. Rava came to him, "It would seem your having hard time, despite not doing anything. How would you win when you can't do it yourselves?"she said with a disappointed look as she skated away."I really hate that girl..." Kai mumbled.

Jay skated up to kai, "Lloyd's closing the gap, but the clock's against us" he informed Kai. "And so is everyone else! Garmadon's right the more we exclude everyone, the more they gang up on us."Kai replied. "What are you saying?"Jay asked. ";I'm saying, why don't we tell them about Chen? If others knew what this tournament was really about maybe they'd help us?" Kai suggested. Jay sighed, "Worth a shot, but time's running out and Lloyd's got a lot of ground to cover."Jay replied.

The score was now 9:7, Lloyd was losing. Kai lost his balance as Skylor skated past and he hung onto her for support. "Are you trying to take me out too!?" she questioned as Kai was almost dragging her down. Kai didn't want to, but he knew that if he didn't tell her about Chen then things were bound to get worse. "No,"he said at last, "Your...Your right, we aren't all ninja. But Chen's the real enemy, he doesn't care who wins he just wants to steal our powers for some sort of spell," Kai told her. Camille tried to trip Lloyd up while the floor sprung up, but missed and insted ended up tripping herself up. "A spell?" asked Paleman (Coz master of light is kinda long so i made it up), "what kind of spell?" "I don't know, but we have to stay in the tournament to find out,"Kai explained.

"This isn't about Lloyd winning, it's about all of us stopping Chen!"Jay explained to Turner. "And why are you telling me this now?"Turner questioned. "Becuse it's never too late to do the right thing,"Lloyd chipped in. The Neuro skated up to them,"He's telling the truth, I know,"he stated. So why have you now decided to help us?"Jay questioned. "Becuse.... I'd rather be on the winning team,"Neuro smiled. Behind them, Rava was surprised and slowly skating that things were going far better; in fact, most of Camille's team (i.e., Griffin Turner, Paleman, Skylor, and Neuro) had switched over to theirs. 'So, they were able to convince them, how were they able to reach them?'Rava thought, felt doubting herself. As she snap out of it and continued skating.

Camille ran into Kai, knocking him over, then hissing at him. Skylor came over to him and Skylor, who was helping Kai up."Can we take the buggy to Lloyd?"she asked. Kai looked at Skylor and went into the buggy and starting it up. Lloyd kept skating and the buggy dove up next to him, "Need a lift?" asked Kai from the wheel. "You took the buggy?"Lloyd asked. "Uh, actually, we took the buggy"Kai was a little hesitant to say we, "Take the wheel!" he and Skylor hopped out and Lloyd jumped into the seat. The vehicle almost instantly transformed from an Anacondri buggy to a green buggy with streaks of gold here and there. "very clever, gree ninja"Rava said with a smug look. Lloyd smiled devilishly as he rode around, gaining points twice as fast. "Buttons, buttons, buttons!" Chen frantically pressed ever button on the keypads, spring every bobbie trap, but Lloyd kept on driving. He and Camille were now on 12 points. Lloyd drove up to Camille, "We don't have to keep fighting each other,"lloyd reached out his hand to Camille as he drove next to her, "We can all win!"

"All of us?" Camille smiled. "United" Lloyd confirmed as Camille took his hand. Her smile turned into a smirk as Camille pulled Lloyd out of the buggy and laughed evilly. "Only one can remain....."she quoted. Rava saw what happen, "what a dirty trick."Camille continued to skate, Lloyd catching up. Once Lloyd cought up the two began to fight using their jade blades as weapons. "Lloyd might win!" Chen panicked, "Do something!"he ordered Clouse. Clouse obeyed and began to use his magic. Garmadon saw him and tackled him to the ground. Clouse nodded at one of Chen's guards who was keeping score and the man took out a card to change Lloyd's 12 to an 11. Rav saw what Chen is going to do. She thought, 'Chen is prevent him from winning. At this rate, Lloyd will lose the tournament. It seems i have no choice, I'll have to help him and fulfilled her wish.' she used her wind to speed it up and catch up, went passed by the elemental masters. Kai saw the guard changing the score. "Grrr! He's rigging the match!"he got fire ready in his hands, "I'll stop him..."Skylor said as she used the power of gravity to make the guard float in the air, stopping him from changing the score. While Garmadon was pinning on Clouse, he turned to Rajah, "Rajah, stop him." Rajah obeyed which made Garmadon shocked that he learned magic as well. Garmadon tried to stop him but Clouse tackeld him, preventing him from interfering.

Rajah beseeched, "Terranoxius."pointing at the track as it began to form a crystalize pillar. Camile pushed lloyd back, went ahead before the pillar appeared in front of him. Lloyd saw the pillars and he was about to crashed into it until someone grabbed lloyd's wrist and fly over the pillar. Lloyd turned to see that it was Rava who saved him by using air. Rajah saw that and cast another magic, causing other crystalize pillars to apeared in front of them which made it impossible. Lloyd groaned, "We'll never passed through that."Rava turned to him, "Quick, give me the jadeblade!"she demand. Lloyd gave her a confused look until she said hastily, "Do It!"

Lloyd tossed the jadeblade as she skate in front of him. Lloyd has no idea what she was doing. Rava touched the blade and started to chant.

As the wind began to swirl around the jadeblade causing it to flicker. She lifted the jadeblade in the air and swing it forcefully at the pillar while skating. (Look like inuyasha doing wind scar) the force of wind changed into some kind of shape of a blade cut, shatterin every pillars. Almost hit the guards which they ducked away, even Clouse and Garmadon. Rava gave the Jadeblade to lloyd as he stared at her with his jaw dropped, "You helped us.....again." "I'm only helping you so that i won't dishonor and humiliated myself, green ninja. but right now you should focused on wining the tournament." as she pushed lloyd forward and went ahed. Rava notice Rajah was looking infuriated as she's about to cast another spell. Rava act quickly as she skated out of the track, flying as she brought out her feather behind her hair and aimed at her. Rajah flinched when he notice he couldn't move he looked around to see that instead the feather hitting him, it hit his shadow. He knew what technique she used; Shadow bind causing their opponents to paralyze when their shadow was sticked. Rajah glared at her as Rava landed gracefully on the tracks and sarcastically said, "What's the matter? Can't move? Good......Now stay there and behave."as she skate back to the race.

Chen turned to Rajah, "what are you doing? Stop him, NOW" "I can---not move mas--ter chen, she some---how man---age to restraint me"Rajah said struggling to move.

As the entire group was now trying to help Lloyd, which was working a LOT better than when Lloyd's entire group had consisted of Jay, and Kai. The timer was almost done, though, and while Skylor had been able to keep the scoreboard keeper from cheating (she had suspended him using gravity and was using this to keep the scoreboard going), there was only a short stretch of track between Lloyd and Camille. Camille and Lloyd were now just pushing eachother out of the way to get to the finish line, but then resorted to fighting again. They both tripped over but Camille soon got up and jumped over Lloyd, who tripped her up while she was in the air. They both got up and Camille pushed past Lloyd to get over the finish line first. All the ninja were gobsmacked. The two fighters panted heavily, Camille smirked at Lloyd. But her face soon dropped when Lloyd heald up his jade blade.

"She doesn't have her blade!" Jay pointed out. It was true, Camille lost her blade when they both fell. "Lloyd won!"everyone cheered. "Oops, I almost forgot,"Skylor looked over at the guard that was still in the air and put him down. The guard dropped the card and it messed with Lloyd's score making it into a 106. Rava skate over to the edge to see Rajah as she removed the feather from his shadow making him move again and floated back to Rava's hand as put it back on her hair.

"Look at that, he broke your record,"Garmadon smiled at Chen who was now fuming with rage. "No, no, NO! He cheated! Lloyd loses!"Chen yelled. "No way, Lloyd won fair and square!"Turner defended, "You were the one who cheated!" Chen sat in his chair and turned his back, "My tournament, my rules," he said simply. "And just what rules are those?"Paleman questioned, "If Lloyd's out then so am I." "Me too!"Kai added. "Us too!" the other elemental masters added. "If you kick us all out, what kind of tournament will you have then?"Skylor asked. Chen turned around, "Fine! Have it your way! Master of Form loses!"he pressed a button that sent Camille down one of his trap doors. As skylor pulled kai aside to talk to him, while others cheered.

Aria smirked at Rajah, who was speechless. "I may be heartless but.....Am I still weak to you?" she asked, her voice mocking. Rajah recovered from his little shock and sneered at her. "It's not of MY concern. But my, my, I wonder what will they think of you?" "they?...."she said until she knew what he was talking about.

"I don't care what your gonna do to them but if you....," Rava almost snarled, she was angry the first time. The two of them glared into each other's eyes, with dusky meeting bottomless black, for a full moment, before Rajah turned away. "I'll be sure to send your regards to them," she said coldly, "......watch your back, Rava"

Rava watched as Rajah left, Garmadon stared at Rava who had a conversation to Chen's pupil, as she was about to leave. Lloyd offered, "Listen, Rava i know you don't want to help us but if we work together. We might be able to defeat Chen." "I appreciate the offer but Belive me, i rather be alone than being part of a team. And i don't need your sympathy to change my mind. I didn't do it for you, i only did it for.... myself"Rava said as she left. Jay said feeling peeved, "Sheesh, I can't believe it. We made an alliance with them and she just reject our offer." Kai said, "Yeah, it's like her intention wasn't helping lloyd to win at all, she just wanted to win." "I'm not so sure about her..." they turned to see that Neuro said to them. Lloyd asked, "what do you mean?" "I looked through her mind and realize her intention wasn't wining at all."Neuro told them. "What?"they said unison. "she really did intend to let lloyd remained in the tournament."Neuro said.

"but why would she do that? I mean if she is helping lloyd to win, why she doesn't want to help us?"Jay questioned. Neuro explained, "That's not all....while i was looking through her mind, i notice that she didn't intend to do it on purpose.....she was ordered somehow." "Ordered?.....by who?"Kai asked. "Do you think it might be chen or clouse?"Jay said. Lloyd said, "I don't think so, they wanted me out remember? Neuro, Do you know who it was, ordering Rava?" "I'm afraid not, i couldn't look further. Her mind was somehow blocked while i was looking through it." Neuro replied. They all turned their faces to Rava who was leaving the tracks. "The biggest question is: Whose side is she on?"Lloyd said to themselves

AT THE COURTYARD

Rava was meditating, trying to see if she was able to reach her. But no luck, she couldn't help but worry if something happened to her. She was about to get up and head back to the room until she sense someone behind her. "I'm impressed that your students were able to convince them, it was strange for me to understand, wouldn't you agree? Sensei Garmadon?"As she turned to see.....Garmadon was standing in front of her. "i sense that you have question to ask, is there?"Rava guessed.

Garamadon asked, "Whose side are you on exactly? " Rava said, "i'm sided with no one but my own, Not even Master Chen. I handle him just fine"Garmadon let out a sighed and said, "Even you do, you can't do/fight him alone. It doesn't have to be, You saved my son and his friends before, you can do it again."

Rava blinked at him as she answered, "i only save your son because I did what i had to do......I did it ...." as said lastly, "....for her"

Garmadon notice Rava's reaction as he asked, "this girl....is she important to you? Who is she?"

Rava looked at Garmadon as if he was curious to know but she couldn't tell him or it might jeopardize the mission.

"I'm afraid i cannot explain to you because it is not your concern, for now you should head back to your students before they spot you" as she turned around and was about to head back to her room.

Garmadon said, "Your unfortunate...." Rava stopped and stood there, hearing garmadon's words behind her. ".....your more of a puppet who only made to follow orders. Isn't there something than just following?"  "what do you mean.....?"Rava questioned, when she heard exactly like Neuro told her. Garamadon said "Then let me tell you, The way you fought before was honorable and courageous but something deep inside you is missing...."

"And what is that......?"

"A heart.....You can't defend someone by sealing your heart away. How were you able to open up to her?"

Rava lowered her eyes and answered, "I'll do whatever it takes to protect her no matter, even it means risking my life for it."as went back inside. Garmadon stared at her with a disappointing look, "that is not how you protect anyone."

BACK AT THE UNDERGROUND PRISON

Vatu was in the cell, still wondering about his dream. 'what could it mean?' he thought to himself. He tried wiggling his hand from the chains, no luck. "If i can't free myself, then i'll just have to discover what my dreams are.I don't know why there must be answer into seeing the glimpse of the past. Well, time to get sleeping." Vatu said to himself, he closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep. Then, he saw the glimpse of the past again.

The next day, Lonewolf was hunting for food but this time getting berries (it's not for him, it's for someone). He found berries in the bushes as he started picking them. After he finished picking them, he notice a claw mark on tree. He examined and realized it was marked as a territory. He was about to leave until he felt something breathing behind him. He turned around and saw a bear, it looks kinda peeved when it saw him. He dodged from its claw as it started chasing him. He kept running as he tried to outrun until he reached a dead end. He knew he was cornered as the bear came closer, redying his claw. "Uh..Nice Bear" he said. As it charged right at him, he closed his eyes and shielding his face waiting to be bear clawed. That's when something wrapped on his wrist as he was lifted in the air. the bear crashed onto the wall and fell on the grounded. The boy opened them and saw he was lifted up.

"for a huntsboy, you really got into trouble...."

Lonewolf blinked when he recognize the voice, he looked up to see that it was the anacondrai that he saved last night, grabbing his wrist with its tail. "Kiba...," he exclaimed, as he was pulled up. "still calling me that" the anacondrai said who was now Kiba. "Boy, am i glad to see you. More importantly, what are you doing here?" he asked. "I told my tribe how you saved me from a death trap and from a slayer. They were shocked to see that you were the first to saved an anacondrai. No one has ever been spared before so now I owed you my life so i came back to return my debt" Kiba explained. He brought out something behind him, a dead pheasant. As he handed to him which made Lonewolf a little a bit nervous, it was his first time anyone has given him. "Gee...Thx *put in the bag* so you came here for that." He said. "No, I came to check to see if you kept your word since i left." Kiba said. Lonewolf notice that kiba was wearing the bracelet he gaved him as a token of a solemn promise and trust.

Lonewolf reached something in his pouch and held a purple scale in front of him. Kiba eye's widened, "you...still hold on to that." "Hey, i kept my word didn't i? without it, you won't be able to trust me." he smiled. Kiba said, "I see. then i guess you did keep your promise."

"Yeah, so what are you doing? Shouldn't you be with your tribe?"

"I was given permission to let me out."

"I see *he felt his tummy growled* For now, I better prepared lunch first before starting my hunt. Wanna join?"

Kiba replied, "No, i just came here to.....repay my debt that's all."

Lonewolf saw something in kiba's eyes and knew what was up. "Ok, well i better get going see ya" he waved at the anacondrai, as he left.

Behind the waterfall, he was preparing food that kiba gave him. He put it in the pot and cooked it, while he readying his utenils until he sense an aura coming from outside. he revognized the aura and turned to the side. "Um...I know you're there, even your invisible" he smiled. the anacondrai appeared in front him, looking surprised. "How...How did you know i was here?" Kiba asked. "Simple, i sense your aura and i knew you would be following me. I was born with that ability" Lonewolf replied.

"Aura? what is that...?"

" Well.....Aura is the ever-changing flow of life energy around one's body. They say it is invisible emanation or field of energy believed to radiate from a person or object."

" we never had like that before. Can you give a demonstration?"

"Ok, see that rock, I want you to tossed at me."

Kiba shrugged when he picked up a rock but was too afraid it might hurt the huntsboy. "Trust me....." Lonewolf said, as he closed his eyes without opening them. Kiba stared at him when he said the word 'trust', he never trusted a human before but he did gave him a solemn promise to never tell so he began to trust him. He tossed at the rock at him, hoping it might hit him but instead he caught it. as he opened them. "See, even with my eyes closed, i can sense an object coming." he explained.

"Amazing, your reflexes is good as our."

"Oh pls your flattering me. Anyway, you didn't come all this way just to spy on me."

Kiba blinked at him and protest, "No, I wasn't spying....I was...observing. that's all"

"Right....." "I Am!"

"Ok ok but since your here, wanna help me cooked? I'm making chowder."

the anacondrai slithered towards the utensils and the vegetables lying there. "Do you know how to peel carrots?" Lonewolf asked. The anacondrai grabbed the knife and a carrot, looking confused. Lonewolf notice it as he went over there. "Here this is how you peel them" he said as he picked up a raw potato and began peelong with his wolf dagger. "See now look like a ribbon now you try." he gestured to the anacondrai.

Kiba did the same thing, he notice he's getting a hanged of it even Lonewolf notice it as well. While they're done peeling vegetables, Lonewolf taught kiba to cook in a pot, like stiring. After they started eatintg their lunch, Both of them seemed to be enjoying it.

Kiba said blissful, "Mmm... This taste amazing. We never had one like this back home."

Lonewolf smiled, "I'm glad you enjoyed it."

Kiba notice him and change his tone, "I mean...not bad."

"Ah don't worry you don't have to hide it, it's ok " Lonewolf laughed.

Kiba turned away his face and turned red feeling ashamed. Lonewolf got up and grabbed a basket of berries and headed out. Kiba followed him as the huntsboy turned to him, "It's best if you don't follow me."

"Why?"     

"I'm heading to the village to give these berries beside you don't want anyone to see anacondrai  with with a huntsboy. And don't worry I won't spill the beans"

"Spill the beans? your not holding beans."

"Um....its just a figure of speech. it means i won't tell anyone about you. Ok." as lonewolf left the forest, leaving anacondrai staring silently.

In the Village, Lonewolf head to merchant shops and traded it with breads, vegetables and seeds (that's how he got all those stuff from the cave). As he finished trading, He carries them and about to head back to the forest. Most of the people were staring at him, usually spread rumors and sometimes think he's crazy for living in the forest. While he was walking, he passed by two boys (Met in versus, where Gowli taunts lonewolf) 

"Well, Well if it isn't the lonely wolf boy."   Ist boy said. 2nd boy said, " Yeah, living alone with a stinky forest along with the animals. You never know where snakes might be lurking around to bite you." They started laughing  however Lonewolf turned to them, showing not anger but with a smile. "Nah, the forest is not bad beside....you never know when you find unexpected." He said as he went back. The two boys stared at him confusely. "Huh, that's strange he used to be mopey....but now he seem to be in a good mood." the 1st boy said. "Must be hanging with a stinkin boar" the 2nd boy said. The two boys looked at each other and laughed.

In the forest, He came back and notice kiba wasn't there. He sighed realizing he left  as he put down the basket and went out for a stroll.Until, out of nowhere Lonewolf was startled behind as he fell into the mud. He got up and felt dirty as He turned to see that it was kiba. "Dude, you scared the heck out of me." Lonewolf said. "I've been waiting here the whole time also i saw you were going out so i followed you. But now you fell into a mud." Kiba said as he extend his hand. Lonewolf frowned at him as he grabbed his hand just to get out of the mud. Instead, he smirked at him and pulled kiba into the mud as well which made kiba stared at him with disbelief. "What's the point in doing that?" Kiba said angrily. Lonewolf laughed, "Easy, Now we're even." Kiba began to tackled him , causing them to be covered in mud. They did some mudball tossed at each other's faces. Later, they lay against the nearby rock looking tired due to a tussle. Both of them looked at each other, Kiba said, " Look at you now your dirty." Lonewolf looked at himself and turned to kiba, "Well, speak for yourself. Your scales are dirty as well." They both frowned at first then they began to giggle until finally they laughed at each other.

They head back to his hideout and wash themselves under the waterfall. While they are done, "Now, that was fun, tossing muds at each other faces."Lonewolf said while wiping himself dry. Kiba said,"yeah, i haven't felt fun before, it's my first time ."

"Well, I guess you learned it. it was wierd that we made a mess of ourselves huh"

"yes, it is wierd though; a human and anacondrai having a tussle even though we're different."

Lonewolf notice Kiba is feeling sheepish today almost like he never felt it before, He notice the sky is already night time and he saw the moon and stars. "Wow look at the moon, it shine so brightly. Even stars are more beautiful, you might even see constellations." Lonewolf said. Kiba turned to him, "Constellations? What is that?"

"You don't know what a star constellation, it's like star constellation"

"No i never seen it in my entire life"

He realize the hacthling haven't seen one before so he decided to show him something that is very surprising. "I should head back to my tribe...."Kiba said as he was about to leave until Lonewolf stopped him. "Wait, look i wanna show you something that will surprise you." Lonewolf went to the other side, Kiba looked puzzled at first so he decided to follow him. They were walking up the mountain, that is very far from the village. As Lonewolf reached to the top, Kiba asked, "Where are we going?" "Give me your hand and i'll tell you" he said extend his hand. Kiba stared at him still not knowing what he was thinking. "Trust me, you'll see something that will blow your mind." Lonewolf smiled down at Kiba. Kiba looked down at first then at him, he grabbed his hand and pulled him to the toppest mountain. Kiba looked up in the sky and he was astound to see so many stars around them. You can also see the moon shining brightly. "It's...amazing. I never seen so many of them before." Kiba said with a astound look. Lonewolf said, "I told you it will blow your mind *He lay down on the grass*  You should lie down as well. I'll tell you what are star constellations."

Both of them were lying on the grass while Lonewolf explained and pointed out the name of the star constellations which made Kiba feel interested. "See the one on the right....that's an archer. the other one on the upper part is....cancer..."Lonewolf said. "what about...that one? the one beside it" Kiba wondered.

"Oh that...that's my favourite. that one is ophiuchus"

"ophiuchus?" 

 "Oh i guess you don't know you see ophiuchus is a man grasping a snake"

Kiba blinked at him with a stunned look as Lone wolf  continued, 

"in ancient time, the man called Ophiuchans had a natural affinity for snakes, and there was a special species of serpent, the Zawinder, with whom their House's Zodai developed a psychic connection. "

" I didn't...know that"

  "He captured it and adopted that snake so they would then use to spread messages to others in the swamp. Ophiuchans built their short-lived civilization on the marshy world, where they slept in huts and spent most of their time exploring the wilderness and developing remedies for ailments."

"hmmmm...reminds me of you before you first found me" Kiba turned to him

"Haha very funny...anyway they say they were healers at their hearts who hoped to one day rid of every ill—disease, violence, etc—and bring everyone closer together."

"Everyone closer together...huh?  do you...always climb here every night"

"Sometimes beside my dad is up there too"       "Your father? where?"

Lonewolf pointed at the stars which made Kiba understand what he meant. 

"So your father is in the sky"     "Yeah, he's watching over me"

"You normally climb here to see your father in the stars"

"Yup you see my dad once told me. He says all the great warriors of the past are up there. Even ancestors. that's why"

"  You think serpentine warriors are up there too? "

Lonewolf turned to kiba which made him shuddered, "Oh sorry i just thought....maybe.." Kiba said sheepishly.

"Nah thats ok maybe serpentine might be up there as well. after all they are great warriors. *breathed lightly* I' m so glad  i have someone who shared my interest. Not like those others in the village."

"Don't you have friends?"     "No, i'm all alone in the forest, the only friends i had are my nature"

"there should be at least someone who wanted to be your friend"

"Oh I already did had a friend"      "What? who?

"Simple........It's right bedside right now"

Kiba's eye widened knowing what he meant as he got up and turned to him, "Me? But i'm a serpentine beside What made you think i should be"

"Easy because your the only one who ever listens to me, even play and cooked with me. Not only that, I never made a promise or trust me before."

"Preposterous, I don't usually get along with other serpentine tribes and go around like that."

"So, that means you don't have a friend either. someone to talk to,right?"

" W-what, is that bad?"      "No, I'm just glad"

"What do you mean by that?"  Kiba said with a pout

"Sorry it's just ....that makes you my first friend, the first anacondrai who ever speak to me"

Kiba's eye widened as he stood still, No human has ever called a serpentine friend before. It was the first time Kiba was treated that way.

"It's strange, Before we remebered , You humans claimed that we were the enemies even though we were made by the very first spinjitsu master since ninjago was named."

"You were made by the first spinjitsu master! Wow, I never knew that."

".....you treated us as if we were a threat to you all even though we tried to warn you. You tried to erradicate us but yet you...your different from those people"

"Oh.....Actually, i'm different from those slayers. They fought with pride but deep down there's no honor in them. To me, I hunt with honor. Your right, It's true we hunt you however it's wrong just to take their lives...."

Kiba stared at him with a curious look, as Lonewolf continued......

"The serpentines shouldn't be the ones to blame.....it is us who should blame. It's our fault we made your kinds hide. We shouldn't be fighting each other since the spinjitsu master is the one created ninjago. Serpentines are like us and we are like them, we shared the same place, earth, sky and the world. And yet my kind treat you as an enemy to the world and.... I'm sorry, if we had listen to you then we wouldn't have to fight each other"

Kiba's felt indifferent when Lonewolf said that and asked, "Why...Why are you trying so hard to prevent this?" Lonewolf gave him an innocent look and answered, "Because I couldn't bear to see anyone get hurt. If they fight, it will be an endless fight and there'll be nothing left."Lonewolf got up and turned to him with a confident smile, "Kiba, the reason i let you live is that everyone deserve a second chance and i know my dad understand i made the right choice. Everyone has to survive and live."

"Y'know, your the first human who ever understand our reason even though we're different and yet you realize it. No one has ever said that before." Kiba said.

"Really, i guess all that speech talk has made me feel embarasses *awkward laugh* ah ha ha."

As they climbed down from the mountain, Kiba and lonewolf were heading to the other side of the forest where he first led Kiba back to his home. "Well i guess  i'll be going back now" Kiba said. Lonewolf  mentioned something that slipped his mind, "Oh i almost forgot...." Kiba turned to him.

"Do you remember ophiuchus star?"      "What about it?"

"Not only i come to see the star but to see my favourite star. Coz there is a meaning to it, Do you wanna know what it represents?"

Kiba shook his head, not knowing what it was. Lonewolf took a deep breathed and answered to him, "" It represents Unity"

Kiba blinked when he heard the word, "Unity"

"Yup, it's like man and snake united together, Almost like me and you. After all, we're friends and no matter what happens, I'll protect you."

"Protect me?"

"So that i won't let your kind become extinct. That's what friends are for." Lonewolf gave him a smiled.

 The ancondrai was stirred by his words almost like he reached his mind and soul. Even his smile also warmed his hearts almost as thought he felt a connection between him and the huntsboy. He slowly looked up to him.

"Um....Lonewolf " Kiba muttered.     "Hm...." Lonewolf said

"Is it ok.....If i can come and visit you, if it's alright with you because i want to learn and know about you?"

Lonewolf blinked at him and smiled with glee, "Of course, you can visit anytime if you like. After all, Everyone is welcome in my forest and i will open my home to you. And don't worry I won't let a slayers or anyone take away your freedom."

KIba looked at him in response and smiled back at him almost like he was happy. "Well, then see you tomorrow."

"See ya tomorrow and be careful. Make sure you stay out of sight at night."

"You worry too much Lonewolf "Kiba replied as he slithered back to the forest and turned to the lonewolf, " By the way, the ophiuchus star you mentioned to me....I think that makes it my favourite star too" He smiled at him as he  disapperead into the night.

Lonewolf smiled where kiba disappeared as he stared back  at the stars, "Unity. Between snake and human. Hey, Dad i wonder if i can make that happen."

End of the Dream

Vatu woked up and felt kinda stunned of what he saw in his dream. "Unity huh? I wonder if that was possible. And yet why am i feeling strange that those dreams have a meaning somehow?"

As Vatu stumped back, wondering and thinking filled with curiosity waiting for the questioned to be answer.
