The small changes
Over time, everyone noticed how hanging out with Lloyd and his friends was slowly taking a toll on Aria. She was starting to become a bit more friendlier and playful, basically revealing a nicer, more soft side of her that no one had ever seen before. Over all, it was a new experience for Aria, who had always kept to herself. Any time someone had tried to be friends with her before, Aria would be quick to push them away. But Lloyd and his friends were, different, to say the least. She secretly always felt more comfortable around them once she got to know them. They were also rather stubborn.
Aria found that out the hard way when she tried to push them away, but they always kept coming back. Right now, they were all over at Lloyd's apartment having a study/homework session. His mom, Koko, didn't mind the company one bit. She came into the living room where they all were with a snack tray that had different cheeses, lunch meats, and crackers. "How's the study session going?" she asked as she put down the tray and sat against a couch armrest. "Its going pretty good Mrs. G" said Cole. "Oh please, you can call me Koko. None of that Mrs. or ma'am stuff" Koko replied with a smile.
Aria smiled before it faded a bit. Her own father forced everyone he worked with to call him 'Sir' or he would beat them up. Lloyd noticed her expression fall. "You okay Ari?" he asked, calling her by one of the nicknames he had given her. Aria looked up at him as her small smile returned. "Yeah, I'm alright, just trying to figure this complicated Algebra problem" she replied. "Well, chances someone else is stuck on it" Cole told her.
After an hour or two, Aria's phone began buzzing. Taking it out, she saw a timer she dreaded going off. "What's that?" Nya asked. Aria turned the timer off and put her phone away. "Oh, just a little timer I have. Its time for me to get on home" she replied as she put her school supplies and completed homework in her back pack. "Aw. Already?" Kai asked. "Yes. Sorry for disappointing you hothead" Aria said with a smirk.
"Oh I'm just- wait-hey!" Kai replied before he fully took in what she had said. Everybody laughed. "Well, time for me to get going. I had a lot of fun today. Thanks for that" said Aria as she stood up and got her back pack on. "Don't you have fun everyday at your home?" Zane asked her. It was practically unnoticeable, but Lloyd saw Aria tense up a bit. "Its... Complicated. Well, see you guys tomorrow" Aria replied after hesitating a bit. She then walked out the door, but not before saying good-bye to Lloyd's mom, who returned the words.
"Huh. That's was weird" Lloyd muttered. Cole overheard him. "What was weird?" he asked. "After Zane asked her if she had any fun every day at her place, Aria tensed up a bit. I think I was the only one to notice that" Lloyd explained. "Actually, I noticed that too. Do you think she might have some family issues?" Nya said then asked. "Maybe. But let's not assume anything until we know for sure" Cole chipped in. Jay then noticed something.
"Hey guys, looks like Aria left something behind" he said as he picked up a sketchbook. "Hey, that the sketchbook Aria always draws in" Nya realized as she took it and started to open it. "Should we really be looking through her drawings?" Lloyd asked. "I'm just going to take a few peeks, that's all" Nya replied before fully opening it. She then let out an audible gasp. "Oh wow" she said quietly. "What?" Kai asked.
"She must've been a professional artist in a past life" Nya replied. "What makes you say that?" Jay asked. "Cause, take a look" Nya told him as she set the sketchbook down and slowly flipped through it. "Oh wow" said Lloyd. Each page on both sides had beautiful and very high detailed drawings of different dragons. All looking like they could just melt off the page and become real.
"Well, she has a thing for dragons, that's for sure" Kai joked. "The amount of detail is amazing!" said Zane. Nya flipped the page, not realizing she accidentally skipped one, but Lloyd was quick to notice. "Wait, you skipped a page" he said, turning it back. What was there, surprised them all. It was the Ninja Gi that the new mysterious Ninja had been wearing. "How could she know what that new Ninja is wearing?" Nya asked.
Cole looked closer. "And how can she knows the exact size of everything too?" he added. Here and there were measurements in small neat handwriting. The measurements were by the waist, upper arms, lower arms, chest, hips, thighs, lower legs, ankles, and wrists. Even the height was recorded along with multiple drawings of the Ninja Gi from different angles. "How can Aria know all of this?" Jay asked. "I think I might have an answer for that" said Lloyd. Everyone looked at him. "I think we may have found out who our new Ninja person is"...
