After two weeks of living with Lloyd and Koko, Social Workers managed to find the couple that the nurse had mentioned, and after a little bit of interrogation, they gained custody over Aria. She was a little hesitant, but she was also willing to give the two a chance. Everyone had met them after they allowed Aria to have a study/homework session at their apartment, and they all agreed that they were perfect for Aria. After all, her adoptive parents had both gone through almost the exact same situations as her.Over time, Aria developed strong feelings towards Lloyd, who's feelings for her had only grown stronger. So, Lloyd decided to tell her how he felt about her. After they dealt with Garmadon's current invasion and take over attempt. 

"Seriously, Garmadon, when are you going to stop trying to take over Ninjago?!" Aria, who was now the Wind Ninja, yelled incredulously as she fired a wind blast for her dragon mech into a bunch of Garmadon's soldiers. "I will never stop Wind Ninja! I will eventually take over Ninjago!" Garmadon yelled back. Aria rolled her eyes and looped her mech around Lloyd's a few times before leaving to help Jay, who had a lot of soldiers on his tail. "Hang in there Jay, I'm coming to help!" she called. Jay's voice came in through her radio. "Oh thank you! I really need it!" he yelped. "Charge your cannon while I take out these guys" Aria suggested. 

From where she was, she could see Jay facepalm. "Why did I not think of that?!" he yelled. "I don't know buddy" Aria replied with amusement in her voice. She took out some of the soldiers while Jay's electric cannon charged. When it was ready, Aria flew her mech out of the way and gave Jay the all clear. Jay's cannon went off and electrocuted all of the soldiers mechs that were still there, effectively destroying them. "Quite the light show guys" Lloyd's voice came over the radio. 

"Thanks!" Jay told him. "Alright guys, find my position and converge on it. Its time to kick Garmadon out of Ninjago City" said Lloyd. "Again" he added as an afterthought. "We're on our way Green Ninja" Aria told him. Everyone was able to quickly find Lloyd and surround Garmadon. "Alright Garmadon, stand down. We have you surrounded" Lloyd said to the Warlord. "Nope. I will never accept defeat" Garmadon said stubbornly, crossing his four arms. 

Everyone fired at his huge Shark Mech, engulfing it in a cloud of smoke. Lloyd raised a hand, letting his team know to stop shooting. "Alright, alright! Jeez! I'm going! I'm going! Yeesh!" Garmadon yelled, coughing. After the smoke cleared, his generals came by, picked up his mech, and flew it out. With Garmadon yelling his usual, "I'm coming back!" speech. "Great work today guys" Lloyd praised as they all got back to the Warehouse. Everyone pulled their hoods and masks off. 

"We were pretty good out there" Zane commented. "Especially Aria. Girl, that multi-shot twirl move you pulled off out there, that was pretty cool" Nya added as she parked her Water Strider Mech and dropped to the ground. "Oh please, that was nothing compared to your whirl-pool move. Now that, was awesome" Aria replied as she and Nya high fived each other. After everyone was done praising each other and comparing different stunts that they pulled off during the battle, they all split up to do their own things. After a bit, one by one, everyone left, except Lloyd and Aria. The girl was doing a bit of maintenance work on her mech since it had taken a few serious hits. After looking around and seeing that they were alone, Lloyd took the chance to walk over and do a bit of small talk. 

"Hey Aria. What are you up to?" he asked. "Oh, just doing a few maintenance checks on my mech. She took a few good hits out there today" Aria replied. Lloyd raised an eyebrow. "She?" he asked. Aria looked at him and pointed at him. "I can give my mech a gender, alright? And there's nothing you can do about it!" she snapped playfully. Lloyd raised his arms in a sign of surrender. 

"I'm the leader of a Secret Ninja Force, yet I can't stop someone from giving their mech a gender. So sad" he said with fake sadness as he dropped his arms. He and Aria both laughed a bit. "So, what's on your mind?" Aria asked. "Oh, uh, nothing really" Lloyd lied, shrugging. Its was Aria's turn to raise an eyebrow. "Lloyd, something's clearly on your mind. You can't fool me. I know you too well for that" she said as she jumped down and leaned her back against one of her mech's front legs. Lloyd sighed. 

She really did know him pretty good. But he couldn't bring himself to say that he liked her. So he decided to try a different approach. And hoped that Aria didn't kill him for it. "Well, there is something that I've been wanting to tell you, but I can't bring myself to say it. So, um, please don't kill me for this" Lloyd told her, gently putting a hand under her chin and tilting it up a bit. Before Aria could say anything, Lloyd closed his eyes and pressed his lips against her soft ones. He felt her stiffen a bit, before she slowly relaxed into it and kissed back.

Lloyd put an arm around Aria's waist and gently pulled her closer while she wrapped her arms around his neck. The two soon pulled apart, lightly panting. "Will you be my girlfriend?" Lloyd asked. "Yes" Aria replied. "Cause us fighting your father together isn't enough for you" she added playfully as she went Lloyd to get to her tunnel. "Oh really?" Lloyd asked in the same tone. Aria faced him, holding something in her hand as she tossed her hips out to one side. 

"Yes, really" she said, mischief glinting in her eyes. Lloyd then saw what she had in her hand and patted where he normally had his hood and mask, which were missing. "Aria, is that my hood and mask?" he asked her. "Uh, no?" Aria replied with a shrug. "You sly little thing" Lloyd said with a smile as he shook his head and narrowed his eyes. "Well then, come and get it" Aria challenged as she waved his mask and hood in the air while backing up. Lloyd then proceeded to spend the next ten minutes chasing his girlfriend around the warehouse to get his hood and mask back.
