In reality tho, I slept in, and have 9 hours to do so.

For most days during Ninjago, there was always something happening, either some big villain was attacking, or they were training.
Endless, endless training.
However, on the very off days that they had, Jay always tried to prepare dates for him and Nya to go to, to try ease the tension of the Monastery life, as well as to get some alone time for the both of them, without the worry that their adoptive son Lloyd, or that Kai or the other ninjas will come on in and either annoy them, or completely kill the mood between them.
Some dates were amazing, like their trip to a private island, just for the two of them for a weekend, or their trip renting a balloon to soar high into the sky, admiring the fireworks from up above.
Some dates.... Were not so successful. They still get berated by the others for getting them banned from the bowling alley after..... Some complications. Jay and Nya still laugh about it though.
However, for this date, Jay decided to make it special, and take Nya somewhere that he had been before, but was sure to get some delight out of her.
This is where we start.
"Jay, where are we going?" Nya asked, confused. She didn't usually let people drive her submarine car she got as a valentines gift, nevertheless underwater. Besides, what could Jay be going for their date which is underwater?
"You'll see." Jay smiled at her. She just huffed and sat back in her chair. On most dates, she had at least some idea of where they were going, however now? None whatsoever
Jay navigated the sub through the rocks, and into a cave; Slowly ascending, he brought the sub up to the top of the water, Nya noticing that they were deep in a cavern, far below the ocean.
It felt new, and strangely familiar.
"It's best I explain where we are now." Jay spoke, turning to her.
"Welcome, to the First Spinjitzu Master's tomb." Jay announced.
Nya gasped. She heard the stories from the others about this place, and secretly wish she went with them. However, now she finally got the chance.
"Isn't a tomb a weird place for a date?" She questioned him.
"Na, I think it's important you come and visit this place. I have wanted to take you here for a long time. Now come on, let's go!" Jay took Nya's hand and guided him along the cavens, until they got to a door.
Opening the door, they came across the room of many doors. Jay knew the answer, but wanted to see if Nya could do it too.
"What's with the doors?" She asked him, confused. Jay just smiled at her.
"Well, there is a saying for this place. A spinjitzu master can, a spinjitzu master cannot. To move forward, don't look ahead, to find his resting spot."
Nya's face torted into confusion, as if trying to work it out.
"So a spinjitzu master can. Can what?" She questioned out loud, looking around.
"A spinjitzu master can, a spinjitzu master can.... Can what?" Jay chuckled at Nya's mumbling, trying not to laugh too much.
"A spinjitzu master can..... Do spinjitzu!" She figured it out, before immediately spinning into her beautiful water spinjitzu tornado that Jay ever so loved. Inside, she watched as the cubes of light formed an image to her eyes. She stopped, and looked over all the symbols above the doors.
"That one?" She questioned, looking at the same door they entered through.
"Are you sure?" Jay teased, seeing her doubt herself for a second before going confident again.
"I'm sure."
Nya walked over to the door, and opened it, seeing the different pathway than before.
"Wha? What's not possible?" She questioned.
"Does it have to be?" Jay asked. Nya gave a half shrug, before walking along.
They then came across the room with the First Spinjitzu Masters staff, at the other end of the room.
"What's this about?" Nya questioned Jay. He just smiled and gave a small shrug, pointing his head towards the staff, signaling for her to go get it.
As Nya tried to get there, the several traps activated, pushing her back to where Jay was standing. The more she tried, the more she failed.
"Gah. Why can't I do this!" She yelled out. Jay decided to pipe in with some advice.
"A Spinjizu cannot, remember."
Nya turned to Jay with flames in her eyes.
"What can't a spinjitzu master do Jay? I CAN'T REACH THE STAF- wait.."
Nya looked down into the dark abyss, questioning.
"A ninja doesn't quit, so we are not meant to get there?" She looked at Jay for confirmation. He gave a smile in return.
"Well, here goes nothing." Nya grabbed Jay's hand and pulled the both of them down the cavens. They both landed onto the ice slide.
After a few wee's and a lot of sliding, they crashed through the ice, into the maze.
Confused, Nya looked at the ice around.
"A maze? What is this all about?"
"It is magical ice, capable of showing the future to the people who have gotten here. Come on, have a look!" Jay grasped Nya's hand, and walked her over to one of the walls.
She gasped.
She saw herself, older, looking much wiser. She seemed to have her older hair look back, seeming to have ditched the wilder hair later on in her life. However, she also noticed Jay a lot older than he was, accompanied with an eyepatch, and a beard. However another thing surprised them both.
From behind them, two shadowy figures stood behind them. Separating themselves for a second, they allowed them to come through. From the shadows, a boy and girl, around the ages between eight and ten, stepped forward. Nya, seeing the revelation, teared up in joy and elation at the sight. Jay also started tearing up that he would get his family with Nya after all.
Nya turned to Jay, jumping in his arms and sobbing with joy at the sight, Jay joining in. For a few minutes, all the emotions were let out from that, happy that they would eventually have their happy ending. However, they just had to get there.
They pulled away, chuckling at their ridiculousness, before Nya spoke up, trying to focus again.
"Okay, for the riddle, the last part was 'To move forward, don't look ahead, to find his resting spot.' So don't look forward, don't look forward." Nya looked around herself, trying to find it. However, she looked down, seeing a light.
"Don't look forward, look below!" She beamed at Jay, proud of herself. Jay walked over, giving her a high five.
"Well done!" Jay told her joyfully.
Together, they managed to break the ice, and drop down to the First Spinjizu Masters tomb.
Holding hands, they walked on down to the skeletal remains of the First Spinjitzu Master.
"This is incredible. I feel honoured being in his presence" Nya spoke out, looking at the remains of the body.
Out of respect, they both bowed to him, and gave them both their thanks for their world, and creation itself.
They walked along the pathway, down the waterfall, until it reached the cavern that they started in. Nya turned to Jay, before giving him a soft hug.
"Thank you so much for taking me here Jay. I loved it!" Jay said nothing, just captured her lips into a soft kiss.
It lasted but a few seconds, however it displayed the rollercoaster of emotions that she, and he to an extent, felt of the day.
"Oh by the way, I'm driving back. You're lucky I let you drive here."
Jay chuckled. They may have many years left with her, with a family eventual to happen.
However, he would enjoy the now with her.
