Proposing on another Planet

So guys, we did it, 10 years of Ninjago.

I may have not been writing long, but I have been reading, and the enjoyment this one show gives me, with me writing about it, it's unfathomable. However, I decided to do a one shot, which when I am writing this bit, hopefully it goes out on the day.

Special thanks to Ophilia (miss_phee) for one section of this chapter, due to it being an ending to her Ophilia's Big Multi-Fandom Book Of Christmas Flicker Stories, which featured my character in it at the start.

I would also like to thank Madaline (mada3fangirl) for allowing me to use her Nya-Obsessiveness as a plot point to make this more comidic.

Finally, I would like to mention the following people, as they were also in the Multi-Fandom Book, and was mentioned in this book to make the story more fun.

Santi, Hannah, Bella (lightningwave111), Nidhi (ChiliBerry) and Skylar (stormysky-)

(I really hope you don't mind your names being in this, if you do just message me and we'll sort it)

However, one thing is going to be hopeful with this thing, is that I hope you enjoy it!

The familiar blue box materialising in their courtyard was not unusual now, however it had been some time since they had seen it. Jay and Nya were the first to open the doors of the Monastery, while James opened up the glass door on the front of the TARDIS.

"Heya, how are you doing?" He asked cheerfully. Nya just frowned.

"Five months James. Five Months! Where have you been?" She voiced, keeping her tone low. James just rolled his eyes.

"A thing happened, I was flying my TARDIS through the time Vortex, and then suddenly was pulled into this game room thingy. A breach in the Space-Time continuum! Anyway I lost the TARDIS for a bit, and my Sonic Screwdriver as well, Basically played their space game, which involved an alternative version of you lot, and something called 'Beyblades?' something like that."

"And then what?" Jay piped in.

"Well......" James drifted off

MORRO WAS VOTED OUT

SURVIVORS WIN

The control room slowed down, everyone cheering that the games had been concluded. All except one person.

James was accessing another terminal, using the machines to try and locate his spacecraft. It had been heading to the exact ship he was on, so it should have been parked nearby.

"James? What are you doing?" The Captain, Ophillia, came up to me. Concerned for her spacecraft? Most likely.

"Trying to find my ship. You all pulled me out of it, bringing the characters into this place." James continued to stare at the screen, pressing a few buttons to narrow down the search.

"Yeah.... Sorry about that...." She rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly.

"And now I am stuck here without anything. It was a pain enough transporting the characters back to their own dimension. Did you even consider how you were going to break them back in?" Pressing a few more buttons, the screen finally pinged a location before Ophillia could give her response.

James sighed, then changed the subject. "You know, I was only nodding to be polite when you mentioned Roblox. I have no idea what that is." James Swivelled out of the chair, standing up. "However, I have located my vessel. Is there any chance for a drop there?"

"No Problem." Is all the captain said before walking to the main deck to prepare for transport.

However, the boy, Santi, Aka Picnic, came over.

"Never heard about Roblox? We have time to kill, get back on the computer!"

The journey took less than an hour, but when the Captain called everyone to the brig using her "Trusty Microphone" as she called it, James and Picnic joined the others.

"Roblox. So now I know." Is all he said, still somewhat confused. Hannah and Bella Giggled at it.

Outside the glass window, which had been basically taped together since it shattered, all there was was an asteroid belt, and the pitch blackness of space, with only the twinkle of the stars outside.

"So what exactly are we looking for?" One of the girls, Nidhi, stared out the window to the nothingness.

"Okay.... Has anyone seen a London Police Box?" One of the other girls, Madaline, raised her hand.

"Yeah, just that."

It took a few minutes of searching, but the familiar box was located, and brought on board, into the centre of the brig.

"Your spaceship is a.... Police box?" The girl Skylar brought up.

"Yeah, the aesthetic is quite nice" James replied, walking towards it, and caressing the exterior of the wooden frame.

"Do you want to be alone with it?" Skylar questioned, a slight look of disgust on her face.

James instead chose to ignore her, pulling a key out of his pocket and unlocking the door.

"Well I would love to stay, But I promised my dimension's Jay and Nya that I would take them to their date location. I am not sure how late I am now." James looked around at the crew on the ship. "But thanks for having me. It's been a pleasure."

Ophilia came over and shook his hand "It's been good. Thanks for playi-"

"Wait!"

The rest of the team looked over to Madaline, who seemed to be in a dreamy state.

"You said you were going to see Nya, right? Can I come with you?" Her eyes sparkled with excitement, and her whole posture radiated cheer.

"Errrr...... sure. Why not." James said, opening the Police Box door, looking inside.

"Won't it be a bit cramped in there though?" Madaline queried. James just grinned.

"I think it has enough space. Goodbye everyone." James walked into the TARDIS, heading to the centre console, using the keyboard to adjust the time-space graph on the screen to his Ninjago Dimension.

"WOAHH!!" James looked over to the door to see Madaline had entered, as was looking around the place, inspecting the blue and red walls, the couch, the big screen on one wall, the staircase up to more rooms, and finally in the middle of the room, the TARDIS console.

(I realise I have never shown you all what the TARDIS looks like, and what the Interior looks like either, so here are some images!)

"And that is my story." James concluded. Jay and Nya looked at each other for a second, before turning back to James.

"So you were trapped on a ship, played a game, and came back here?" Nya asked.

"In basic terms yes." James replied.

"Wait!!" Madaline's head poked out. "Is that really Nya?!!?!?!?!?!?!"

"Wha-?" Nya attempted to get out before she was enveloped in a hug by Madaline, straining the opportunity for smacking her down the cliff. However, she was a friend of James, so that was basically off the table.

"Waitwaitwait!" Madaline stopped hugging Nya, running back into the TARDIS, and coming back out with a T-shirt of a bunch of pictures of Nya on it, with a white box in the middle.

"Sign this for me!" She practically thrust the shirt into Nya's hands, as well as a black pen. James stared at her confused.

"Where did you get that from?"

Madaline chuckled.

"Never underestimate how much stuff of Nya I keep on me."

"Okay? Weird, and slightly creepy with all these photos, but sure!" Nya quickly scribbled her name onto the shirt, before giving it back to Madaline. She stared at the shirt a bit more, looking at the handwriting, before bursting into joy, a few tears fell from her face as she hugged the shirt with all her life.

"Madaline, It's just a shirt." James said before getting a Nya-Pillow thrown at him.

"It's not just a shirt! It's a way of life!" She argued back.

"Where did you even get the pillow from?!?"

"I said don't question the stuff!" Madaline picked the pillow back up, before turning to Nya again. "Which reminds me, sign this too?"

Nya rolled her eyes, before grabbing the pen and signing the pillow as well.

"Madaline, can you put the Nya stuff in the TARDIS, and wait until after their date before peppering Nya with all your merchandise?"

Madaline, who was dreamily staring at Nya, shook out of it, and frowned.

"Fine...."

As Madaline entered the TARDIS again, Jay turned to James.

"You really need less Nya-Obsessed fans as friends."

James sighed, looking at the both of them.

"I know."

The trip in the TARDIS was a short one, with James operating the controls, and Madaline asking a million questions to Jay and Nya on the couch.

Pulling the lever back up, the TARDIS materialised, and the wiring noises going silent.

"We are here people" James called over to them, which Nya looked a bit sick of the questions.

"All I am asking though, is what your favourite fight was?"

"None of them really, but defeating the preeminent was fun!" Nya grinned

"I wouldn't really call the murder of thousands of ghosts 'fun' Nya." Jay questioned. All he got was a glare from her, signifying him, to shut up.

"And what was your favourite enemy to defeat?" Madaline asked another one.

"The Oni, cause nothing is better then defeating literal darkness." Nya rolled her eyes, getting more and more annoyed.

"And finally, How did you get so buf-"

"I said we are here people!" James called over again, pointing to the door dramatically.

"Oh thank the FSM" Nya muttered under her breath.

Exiting the TARDIS, the team were greeted by the spectacle of the grassy fields, with a few trees, overlooking the night sky. However, alien to them were the sight of three moons, and two planets in the sky, easily seen.

"Welcome to the planet of Montros, known as the endless sky planet. Some of the best spectacles the universe has to see." Closing the door behind him, James handed a picnic basket to Jay.

"There you go, enjoy your date." However he leaned in further.

"The box is in the basket" James whispered to him. Jay pulled back, giving a quick nod, then took hold of Nya's hand and dragged her up the hill.

"So what did you say?" Madaline piped in. James just rolled her eyes, before giving a grin.

"You'll see"

Reaching the top of the hill, Jay pulled out a blanket from the basket, laying it down on the soft grass, nearby a tree. The gentle breeze swaying the leaves, and even though it felt so human, it also felt so alien.

And the mix or familiarity and freshness of the scenery is what made it work for the two.

Going into the basket while Nya was distracted by the stars, Jay quickly dug under the contents, feeling around for the box underneath the food.

Quickly locating it, he stashed it into his coat pocket, just in time for Nya to gaze upon him. She kneeled down across from him, before taking a seat on the soft wool of the blanket. Jay sat opposite her, grabbing out some sandwiches from the basket, before handing them over to her. She took the sandwich, ripping the clingfilm off and taking a bite. Jay grabbed his own, and took a bite.

They went through their sandwiches, chips, fruit, and eventually they cracked open a bottle of wine, whilst eating chocolate covered strawberries. But after a bit, even they were gone.

"What about..." Jay pulled out another box from the basket, presenting one of the sticks to her. "Pocky?"

Nya smiled, grabbing one out, and putting the chocolate end in her mouth, looking at Jay. He in turn dropped the Pokey box, and came in close, both nibbling at the pokey stick, both daring to not pull away. Finally, they pulled themselves into a deep kiss.

"I didn't give you the binoculars to spy on them!"

"Shush, I wanna see this!"

"Give me that!" In a swift motion, Madaline had the binoculars swiped from her vision, returning to normal eye zoom.

"No fair." She huffed, crossing her arms. James just rolled his eyes, bringing the binoculars to his own.

"Not yet."

"Not yet? Not yet until what?" she asked, puzzled.

"You will see."

Everything else was in place, the perishables had been consumed, and now, it was finally time for the last surprise of the night.

Picking Nya up, they both looked at the stars together.

"Nya, look at that shooting star!" Diverting her attention, he got down on one knee.

Looking back, Nya was shocked to see Jay further down than usual, diverting all her attention

"Nya, ever since the start, I knew that I wanted to be with you for the rest of our lives. Even knowing our universe, and the expanded one, I knew that there was only one person ever for me. You, and you alone. Nya Smith, will you marry me?"

Nya broke, trying to comprehend the feelings in her mind. After half a minute, Jay started to get hesitant, thinking he said the wrong thing.

"Yes, Yes. YES!" Jay was pulled up, and pulled into a kiss, filled with the fire and emotion of the moment.

*click*

They pulled away to see Madaline with her phone, taking pictures of them, with James running up to them.

"MADALINE! I TOLD YOU NOT TO!"

"BUT I WANTED TO! LOOK HOW CUTE THEY ARE!" She yelled back at him. Jay and Nya looked at each other, and laughed. Jay grabbed her hand, and slipped the ring on her finger. Nya took a second to look at the ring, admiring it, and secretly plotting the demise of anyone who dared to try and take it.

Madaline, in all the excitement, decided to run up to Nya and inspect the ring, before bringing her into a hug, congratulating her. James on the other hand, walked up to Jay.

"Congratulations, you didn't make a fool of yourself."

Jay rolled his eyes at him.

"A compliment so great from a man so well dressed."

A smile plastered over James face. "Thank you for the complim-..." his face turned into confusion.

"That was sarcasm, wasn't it."

"Yes it was."

And a few more congratulations were exchanged, before the items were packed up, taken back to the TARDIS, and the loud noises of the scenery died down with the disappearnece of the police box, returning to their location. Nya signed more Nya merch for Madaline, they all enjoyed dinner that night, before they all went to sleep happy.

"And here you go!"

Madaline stepped out of the TARDIS, arriving back on the spaceship. In the Cargo Bay however, to not overstay his welcome.

"Thanks for this, I enjoyed the time there." Madaline smiled, looking at the photo on her phone.

"No problem. Your teammates were nice to hang out with. Hannah was an interesting one. I used to have a friend named Hannah you know, for a long time, until- anyway she is gone now...." James's face refocused.

"It was a pleasure having you onboard, and thanks for travelling with me."

"Likewise."

And as Madaline exited the cargo hold, the faint sound of the TARDIS leaving was overheard, before dying down, off to its next location.

Madaline stopped for a second in the hallway, looking at the shirt signed by Nya, before giggling once again.

"I just met Nya! THAT WAS AWESOME!"
