Why exactly? I don't deserve any of it.

In my opinion I should be on like three followers right now.

However, I wanted to thank you all for what you have helped me achieve, and I hope you will stick around for the next lot, ay?

Anyway, on to the oneshot......?

Alas, onwards, glorious steed!

____________

(Alternative AU from the end of Prime Empire)

It had been a week since the team had returned from the land of Prime Empire, and there were issues aboad. They started noticing them about four days in, and it was causing a lot of issues for them all.

The issues at hand, were the fact that entering the land of Prime Empire had consequences.

Side effects, as it was found out.

They were not too sure of the issues, or even the effects as a whole. However, they all narrowed it down to two big things.

It affected everyone a different way,

And, the worse one of the two, that the longer you were playing in Prime Empire, the worse the effects a person had from it. And they found that out the hard way.

The phone call was abrupt, and unexpected throughout the Monastery. Nya, being the closest to the phone, answered it. The ninja from the couches and chairs positioned around the living room awaited patiently.

"Hello, is this the ninja?" the caller, female, sounded over the phone.

"Yes, this is Nya? What's the issue?" She asked, curious.

"This is the Ninjago City Hospital. We regret to inform you that your friend, Scott, has passed away. He died from his injuries, unknown the reason, early this morning. He wanted to make sure you and the rest of the ninja knew it, as in his words, "The effects of Prime Empire were too severe'. I am sorry for your loss."

"Alright.... Thanks....." Nya told back, adding even more of a gloomy mood to the room than there was before.

"Who was that?" Lloyd spoke out, straining.

"The hospital. They have just informed me that Scott has died."

The room looked down in sadness. The majority of them knew Scott for only a small amount of time, but they still considered him a friend. The thirty years that he had been in there had caught up on him in the worst way.

The other ninja however, had also been starting to feel the effects of Prime Empire.

Kai and Cole were the least harmed during it, as they got 'cubed' a while before the others.

Kai had nothing major of an issue, however he kept complaining that he was constantly cold. However, they couldn't pin exactly the issue, and therefore couldn't get him a medicine and cure for it. Even with Zane's help. He was resulted to sitting in a armchair most of the time, several blankets and sweaters on him in an attempt to reignite the heat.

Cole on the other hand, seemed his strength was working in reverse, as Cole felt weaker than he had ever before. Even when his mother died, he still had the strength to go rock climbing. Now? He couldn't even lift a glass of water. The past day he had been lying on the couch, with Zane and Kai resorting to spoonfeeding Cole. All day Cole complains about not being able to do anything, and that he is useless. They didn't know still if the effects are permanent. Only time will tell.

Lloyd, being the third longest in there out of the group, had more severe issues than Cole and Kai. He was constantly being sick. Sometimes normal, sometimes with blood. And again, there was nothing they could do to stop it. Zane became more and more concerned as time went on with Lloyd, and gave him the other couch to rest on, so he could check on them all at once.

However, there was one ninja who wasn't in the room, and hadn't even heard the news. Being the one who spent the most time with Scott, especially since Jay and him were buddies for a while, it was to say that the news may hurt him the most.

Not to mention that she hadn't seen Jay all day, and she was getting worried for him. She decided she would go and see him.

Grabbing her crutches, she got off of the couch, and stumbled her way to the door.

"Would you like a hand getting to Jay's?" Zane asked her calmly. He knew them all too well.

"No thanks Zane. I may have my legs severely weakened, but I can still walk with these." She gestured to her crutches, rolling her eyes. Zane just gave her a nod, before she left the room, guiding herself through the hallways, stopping at Jay's door.

On the normal days, all days in fact, Jay would be sleeping in her room, cuddling her close as if she was his teddy bear, watching a movie together on their bedroom TV, or even just chatting about the day. Now though, Jay had been staying in his own room.

And even though Nya knew about the mental issues he went through, losing them all, and although she still wanted him to come back to her room and cuddle more, she understood to give him space. However it had been two days, and he hadn't come out of his room.

Not even to eat.

"Jay? Are you in there?" Nya knocked on the door just to confirm.

No response.

"Jay? I am coming in." She warned. To get himself prepared? That was her reasoning.

She opened his old room, seeing him sitting at his desk, a pen and paper on the table. He looked up to the door, when she noticed that he was wearing sunglasses. However, the desk was by the window, and it was quite sunny outside, so Nya thought nothing of it.

"Jay? You okay?" Nya asked, cautiously.

Jay, suddenly as if he hadn't noticed her, suddenly spoke.

"Oh hey Nya, you alright?"

Classic Jay move, dodging the question.

"Apart from the effects of Prime Empire screwing me over with my legs, I am alright." Her face softened, taking a few extra steps towards Jay. "How are you holding up? We haven't seen you for days."

"I am fine." is all Jay said, before looking down, back at the desk.

Nya frowned, before taking a few more steps towards him. She knew him too well to know that he was lying to her.

"Jay? What's wrong." She held her tone more affirmative, almost demanding an answer.

"There is nothing wrong Nya." He retorted, still looking down at the table. Nya huffed, making her way over to him, and staring him down. Her boyfriend was too stubborn sometimes to not admit things to her if they really affected him, mainly by contrast they would affect her. She knew he liked making her think that something wasn't wrong, but she wasn't falling for it this time. She slammed one hand down on the desk, startling Jay.

"I know you better than that Jay. Talk to me." When he said nothing, and still looked down, she got even more annoyed.

"Look at me Jay Walker."

His answer was short and simple, as if been rehearsed several times.

"I can't."

Nya got even more frustrated.

"Jay, there is nobody else here, and we share everything about each other. So tell me what is wrong!" With Jay still facing the desk, she slammed onto it another time.

"LOOK AT ME!"

Jay's response was direct and planned.

"I can't Nya, I really can't."

With that, Jay stood up, facing her direction

"I can't see anything, ever again."

In a swift motion, he took off the sunglasses, revealing his now cloudy eyes to her. She gasped in shock.

"I've gone blind."
