Christmas Cheer
Hello guys, and welcome back
Christmas Special, so I hope you enjoy!

Christmas time was very special for both Jay and Nya, as they always planned out what they were doing, the decorations, and the presents.
Always the presents.
They would always fluster over what to get for the others, and what to get each other. It usually turned into a game of 'who can get the other the most interesting thing?' between them and they both loved it.
It started as Jay making Nya a robotic dummy that she can hit as hard as she can without it breaking, allowing her to take out all her anger on it. It then became Nya making him his own virtual reality machine which they can both use together when they want to get away from home, whilst staying at home.
It then also went for gifts not made, such as a trip to a private island for just the both of them for two weeks, which was gifted by Jay. They both enjoyed the sun, tan, and also the peace that it gave them for the two weeks. It got to the point where Jay wanted to use his spare money from his birth dad's inheritance to go and buy an island himself.
Nya told him no.
Then there was the time where they both rented out a submarine to go enjoy the depths of the waters together, which Nya absolutely loved. She loved being around her element, and Jay loved seeing her in such a joyous state.
However, the gifts were not all the good things about the Christmases they spent together. It was the good memories that they had with both each other, and the other Ninja as well, whilst also bringing their family and friends along for the ride as well.
One memory that brought to Nya's mind was when they told their parents they were Yin and Yang. Sure it wasn't on Christmas, but all of them insisted on using Christmas to double up on the celebrations for them. They all had a blast that Christmas.
Another year they had, they actually got snow at the Monastery.
The first day they were alright, with only enough snow to cover the courtyard, giving the fam a time for playing in it, from Jay and Nya building snowmen, and making snow angels together, to all of them going out into a full blown snowball fight against each other. That was fun.
The second day however, more snow fell, leaving them snowed in. They both decided to use it to their advantage by digging through the snow from their bedroom window, carving out a room, covering said room with blankets, then cuddling together for the day, not caring about taking phones or other electronics for a while, just enjoying the company they got together.
However the film they watched after also was a big plus.
The year they adopted Lloyd as their own was one of the better years of each of their lives, as they had someone else to give a lot of gifts to. Igniting his childhood spirit, they both decided to splash out for him, and the smile on Lloyd's face with each present opened grew and grew, showing the pair that their decision had not been bad. Although the others hated how much Lloyd got, with them not getting as much, they understood that Lloyd lost a lot of Christmases when he was alone, or when he grew up, so they didn't complain as much about it.
However, this year went slightly different.

Nya walked alone along the cobbled path, humming to herself in the process. The ground was peppered with snow, with more falling from the sky, making its way down, until it hit the ground, combining and adding to the group. Nya looked around at the trees, which had the same treatment as the blades of grass around her, while she shivered slightly at the soft kisses of snow that touched her face.
She sighed, looking out to the distance, where the monastery's shadow could barely be seen in the snowy fog that it brought. The others would be having their snowball fights now, with PIXAL and Zane most likely winning it. Being a Nindroid did have its perks.
Finally, she reached the end of the path, where a single bench remained. Jay decided one day to build the bench out here, just to take Nya down to watch sunsets together.
She sat down, awaiting whatever. She leaned back, enjoying the feeling of the snow hitting her face. It felt her with warmth, no matter how cold it was.
"You know, I always thought that the snow was not a big deal, being from Ignacia and all, we never got it. However, enjoying snow for that first time in my life with you really changed me. It made me appreciate snow, and Christmas more.
"Growing up without my parents most of my life, we didn't really get to experience Christmas to the full potential, mainly because we didn't have the friends, family, or money to make it really cheerful. However, spending those Christmases with all of you made us feel welcome and that we could have a better life with you all.
"And believe us, we are grateful for everything you all have given us, but I am none more to you. All those trips and gifts we gave each other, just because we loved each other that much was amazing, and I treasure all of them each day.
"However, it's hard now. We all act cheerful, however we all have the doubt and sadness in our minds, especially when we think of you. You have been gone for nearly three months now, and we still can't accept it. I can't accept it. I still believe that you will come through our doors again and that we could all be a happy family again. But we can't. Nothing can bring you back.
"However, there was one bit of good news I wanted to give you." She looked down at her inflated stomach, smiling before giving it a small rub. "We can remember you in other ways, and we will always try to make you proud. I am just upset that you didn't live long enough to see your child.
"But we will live on, in your memory, cause we know that you would want us to. Just promise me one thing. When I die, have a space for me to join you up there."
Nya grabbed the bouquet of flowers she brought with her, before setting them down by his gravestone, smiling slightly before a few tears shed. Although she didn't want to do it, she had to let him rest.
"I will always love you Jay Walker, and I hope to see you soon."
Placing the flowers next to his grave, she read the engraving one more time before heading back up.
Rest In Peace
Jay Walker
18th of May, 2000 - September 25th, 2020
She smiled, looking down at her stomach once again.
"Say goodbye to daddy." She told her unborn child, hoping to get a reaction.
Nothing.
She sighed, before giving a chuckle.
"Guess I am just impatient."
With that, Nya walked back down along the path, before heading back up to the monastery to join in on dinner, and although she knew it would be painful for the next whoever-knows how many years, she would pull through.
Because that is what Jay would want her to do.
