Lying back on his bed bunk, or what remained of it, Jay looked up to the shattered remains of the Bounty's roof. It didn't feel like it was two days since they were transported from Ninjago to the foreign land.

It felt like ten years.

Every second without Nya felt like an eternity to Jay, lost in a different realm, with seemingly no chance of returning to his love. But, he had to make do with what he had at the time, getting up for the day, he walked outside to see Kai and Cole, continuing to scavenge through the ship for spare parts to build a machine. Jay didn't care really.

Taking a few steps out, Jay was hit by the sunlight, or from whatever it was. Was it a sun? Nobody knew. But he would assume so.

He looked out, to the furthest depths, the sky turning blue, and he knew, no matter how much it took, how long it took. He would get back to her.

Because he had hope.

It was a few days later, and a lot had happened in those days. First, they got captured, next, they had to fight a lot of dragons, after that, they got captured again, and thrown into a cage, being transported to who knows where. Then, they got used as bait for the dragons, luring out their elemental powers to work against their will.

And now, it seems they were back to the camp, no end in sight. Jay had started to falter, seeming as things were pretty hopeless. Even in his dreams, reality was starting to set in. Instead of dreaming of a fantasy, a future with Nya where they have kids, he had started to go back into the past, remembering the first time he met Master Wu. However, he heard something else.

"The resistance never quits!"

A strange comment, and it sounded like Lloyd. But why would Lloyd be in his dream?

"The resistance never quits!"

The voice again, almost like it's on a repeat in his head. Going over, and over, and over, and over, and ov-

Waking up with a start, he was greeted to the cold cage which Zane and Kai also occupied with him. Sighing, he laid back down, closing his eyes again. It wasn't worth staying awake,

"The resistance never quits!"

Shooting his eyes open, Jay looked around, desperately trying to locate Lloyd. But to no avail.

"The resistance never quits! The resistance never quits! The resistance never quits!"

The voice again. Looking around, Jay spotted the radio in the cab producing the noise.

"Wakey Wakey Ninja! Welcome to the dead-space!" They mentioned to him, but Jay was too zoned out to even pay attention to them.

If that was Lloyd on the radio, it must mean that Ninjago City was alright! Or at least, alright enough to have at least something there, with Garmadon reigning all over and such. But one question was honed in.

Was Nya still alright?

Sure, Lloyd being alive was all well and good, but why wasn't Nya there? Was something wrong? Surely Nya couldn't of been badly hurt, or worse-

No. He had to trust that Nya was alive, that she was all well and good, that he would see her again, and finally, just finally, be able to eventually settle down together and live a happy life.

And so he smiled, knowing that no matter how bad it got, no matter how hard the journey, he would see her again.

Because he had hope.

Time.

Time was always relative, a good friend once told him.

Days can feel like hours sometimes, while hours can feel like days. The perception of time fluctuates, and not much can be done to stop it.

Sometimes, when you are busy all the time, the time can fly by, but if you are idling around the same amount of hours. Time can really drag.

That's the perception of time.

Jay had no idea how long it had been since they first arrived in the realm. He just stopped counting. Sometimes he would grab a stick and just start tapping it, counting the seconds as they passed by, having no idea how long ago it started, and how long he had since stopped.

They had passed into Oni territory, heading into the remains of their buildings. Even as alone as he felt right now, he still had to admire the work of the ancients that built the place, even if they were their enemies.

And yet, he still couldn't properly focus. Not without her.

Ever since that message on the radio... who knows when ago, he still had hope, but it was starting to falter. Even the person, Faith, who found them, and decided against all, to help them through this, couldn't help keep Jay's hopes up. It seemed as if the prophesied dragon armor was just that. A prophecy. Even the rest seemed to be down about it. Faith was especially angry.

"I know that was hard to do, but it is better to admit the truth than carry on a lie." Cole spoke, comforting their teenage Master. Jay threw on a smile, and joined in.

"Even if we never get home, the least we can do is raise you to be the person you raised us to be." Jay felt guilty speaking that way, he knew Wu needed comforting, but speaking about never getting home gave a pit in his stomach.

No, it had to be real, the armour had to be!

"It's a shame about the armour, I was starting to believe it myself." Kai spoke, looking down as well. All this time he forgot that Kai was still Nya's brother, and he never spoke out about it. Some friend he was to him.

"We all were." Zane poked. His robot voice still as a reminder of home, where modern technology did exist.

It seemed Wu had noticed something however, as a quick "Look!" brought their attention to where he was pointing.

"Ah it's sad." Jay remarked, a sad smile plastered itself onto his face. "Got a lot of pent up issues to resolve. That's what can happen when you are born into a cruel world."

"Not her, the gate!" Wu corrected. Walking over, he closed both of the doors. Jay, Kai, Zane and Cole walked over, their torches brightening the door up. What lay shocked them.

A map of the realm, and on the left side....

"Dragon Armor!" Kai pointed out.

"It's in the next of the Firstbourne!" Cole added on.

"We have faith, now we have a map." Wu spoke enthusiastically. "I told you."

And what they had also found is more hope for Jay. To continue along the path, and reach his beloved again. And he threw on a smile, a genuine one this time.

Because he had hope.

And now, for the internal rant of the day, it's 'how did I get into this situation.'

Answer, by being me, Jay Walker.

Now stuck on a post once again, bringing in more dragons. Worse news is that Iron Baron had managed to capture them, and he knew that Wu was the son of the First Spinjizu Master. Therefore, they were stuck. Even worse news, Iron Baron had taken Wu off, to go find the armour. And the rest of them? Still stuck on the post.

However, Kai had started to try and wiggle his way out.

"This is our chance. While they are distracted. Let's see if we can get these... poles rocking.... By... rocking our bodies....from side.....to side."

"Yeaahhhhh.... I'm not doing that." Cole told him, looking depressed. I didn't blame him. The situation was bleak.

"That won't be helpful." Zane added on.

"Guys." Kai wasn't giving up. I had to hand it to him for his commitment. "Come on, Teamwork. If we all do it together." Watching the other two start doing it gave me faith, and started copying their actions, wiggling my body. I heard Faith groan.

"Ugh, I hope the son of the First Spinjitzu Master figures something out, because this is ridiculous!" I decided to interject.

"Hey, it's better than nothing." I put on a cheery tone, and started wiggling harder. After a few co-ordinated wiggling we were finally getting somewhere.

"Teamwork! Teamwork! Teamwork!" We all yelled out, motivated. However, maybe yelling it out wasn't such a good idea....

Closing my eyes for half a second, I opened them up again to see the flying one, can't remember her name, right up close to me.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Uh.... nothing!" I poorly tried to cover it up. She raised her weapon up to me as a response. "THEY ARE GOING TO EAT US!!"

Closing my eyes, I awaited my demise.

One second

Two seconds

Three seconds?

I heard a clank, and I fell. Hitting the ground, I opened my eyes to see that the others had been freed as well.

"Have you ever heard of stairs?" Cole complained, and that a small snort of amusement came out of me. The flying one came down, and Faith walked over to her.

"I don't know if I should thank you Jet Jack, or prepare to fight." Jet Jack, that was her name.

"Or if you are going to eat us... eat him first!" Pointing at Cole, Kai continued. "He's filled with cake!"

"Am not!"

"We got to talking, and this dragon armour business has gone too far." Jet Jack explained

"Iron Baron speaks of serving his people. But he only serves himself." Another one of them, the one with the many legs, like Cyrus had at one point, spoke up.

"Yeah.. he's kinda a jerk." Another spoke.

"With Firstbourne at his side, he will become.... Unforgiving." the grimacing look on Jet Jack's face told all the story, a future under strict ruling and harsh punishments was not good. However, something bothered me.

"Wait, wait. So you're telling me that all this time, while they are getting closer to the nest, you guys were arguing about whether or not to release us?" The looks he got from the scavengers was all the story he needed.

"He has shown his true colours." Jet Jack spoke up. "And they are colours no-one likes." Getting close to Faith, she spoke directly.

"I can put aside our differences, if you five think you can make a difference." Cole walked up to them.

"We can follow their tracks, so we can stop them, before it is too late!"

The cheering from the people brought a smile to my face. With so much, and so many backing us. There was no way we could lose this. And we could do this.

Because we have hope.

And for the final entry, a lot has happened to Jay Walker since the last one.

He had no idea how long it had been in the first realm, but that didn't matter anymore.

Because they were home. After all that.

They managed to get home.

It only took four elemental dragons, some dragon armour, and Firstbourne themselves to get home, and when they did, they had to face Garmadon again. However, he got a chance to see her again. The love of his life.

And after everything was complete, and all was happy, the people had organised a party outside of the temple, all for them. And all Jay could think about was how Nya was snuggling into his side, happy for him to be in her arms again, and he was happy she was in his. After who knows long, apparently three weeks according to the Ninjago time, but time could run faster in different worlds, something his friend once told him.

But he earned it, because after all the pain, after all the hardship they all entailed, he had made it back to her. And he had no plans of leaving her anytime soon. And the main reason, he thinks he got through that, the main reason why he knew it was going to be alright, and they were going to live happily ever after? It was...

Because he had hope.
