Sexualities (And an essay)
Okay, I'm just going to say this real quick: I'm not one to force different sexualities onto characters.
BUT.
I think that with the soft reboot the show has, it should also diversify itself. Not forcibly, but naturally.
I'm going to be taking the main canon of the show (i.e. no comics and such) into consideration.
So let me just say this:
Jay, Nya, Kai and Lloyd: Straight
But!
Zane/Pixal: Asexual
Cole: Bisexual
Now, for the explanation.
Zane and Pixal are obviously nindroids. Sure, they can feel romantic attraction, but I doubt the first thing Borg and Julien thought of was to make them... sexually active.
Side note, being asexual does not mean you can't love someone. You can be attracted to them romantically, just not sexually.
(Sorry to y'all Lemon writers)
And now. Cole.
Now, in all honesty, I don't give a single crap about what his sexuality will be. Whether he's confirmed straight or something else, he'll always love cake more than anything and anyone. I'm just simply making an assumption, but I don't care if he ends up being straight, we'll love him either way.
I'm taking this from a writing perspective and I guess marketing.
1) Cole being bi breaks so many stereotypes it's unbelievable. Like, having the as assumed by the fandom buffest man in the ship (Destiny's Bounty in that case) also be attracted to dudes is awesome, hilarious and wholesome.
2) It brings diversity into the show. Also, since everyone is yellow, you can't be different with race, might as well be with sexualities.
3) No one's ship will sink. If they decide to bring Seliel into canon, he can still date her. Just because you're bi it doesn't mean you have to be attracted to both genders equally. Just make sure to show that he is attracted to boys without it being used as comic relief.
That was my essay.
C ya!
