Whumptober day 4: Trust Fall ("Do You Trust Me?")

Yes it's another Lloyd one.

"And you just didn't bother to tell me?!" Was that first shout of the argument. It was heard from across the monastery, followed by, "Actually why am I surprised?! You never tell us anything!"

Kai and Nya had rushed to the library to see what had upset Lloyd so much. "Lloyd, you need to understand why your un-" they heard Misako begin to say.

"Understand what? That he never bothered to tell me that he banished my father before I was born!?" Lloyd shouted. "And you knew?! Neither of you bothered to ever tell me?? He didn't tell me!"

"Lloyd, you know-"

"Yeah, I know he had a perfectly valid reason to banish Dad, Mom. But what was the reason that no one told me?!"

"Because no one was sure if your father even knew you existed." Misako tried to explain. "Everything happened before I could tell him, I don't even know how he fou-"

"He didn't know about me?"

"Lloyd you're being dram-"

"I thought Dad left on purpose!" Kai could tell Lloyd was crying at this point. "I thought he left just like you did!"

"Lloyd. That's enough!" Wu spoke angrily.

"Right, I forgot, I'm not allowed to have emotions like other fucking people!"

Misako gasped "Go to your room!"

As Lloyd approach the door, Kai could hear Lloyd mumble. "Sometimes I wish I hadn't gotten kicked out of Darkly's."

The door swung open and Lloyd rushed out past Kai and Nya, towards the gates of the monastery. "I said your room Llo-"

"I don't care!" Lloyd yelled as he slammed the gates closed behind him.

Kai and Nya looked at Wu and Misako. "Kai, Nya will you-" Wu began.

"We'll go look for him but," Nya interrupted "You both know you're in the wrong. Right?"

"Excuse me?"

"I mean-"

"He's upset," Kai spoke up. "And he has every right to be. But you don't care at all. You did nothing to give an actual valid reason as to why you didn't tell him, you just made petty excuses." He frowned. "We're gonna find him, but we're not finding him for you, we're finding him because we, are worried." He turned "C'mon Nya, let's go find our brother."

They did eventually find him, they found him hiding in a tree, hands over his ears, crying, and gasping for air. It took an hour to calm him down.

"I shouldn't've yelled." Lloyd mumbled.

"Lloyd, you trust us right?" Kai grumbled. Lloyd's response was a nod. "Then you trust our judgement too?" Lloyd nodded again. "Good, well, my judgement is that you had every right to get mad and yell. You're a person, you have feelings, and you're allowed to feel them. It's unhealthy to ignore them." Lloyd nodded again, a small smile forming.

"I have an idea." Nya grinned, "Even though it'll lead to an inevitable argument between me and mom, why don't we all go to our parents shop, snag some of the muffins mom apparently makes constantly, and hide out there for a while, take a break."

"Yeah." Lloyd spoke softly. "That sounds nice."
