(Show, AU where Garmadon stayed on Chen's island, and Lloyd ended up growing up there. This also means Garmadon was never banished to the Underworld, never got struck by lightning, and never grew an extra set of arms.)

"I bet my dad could beat up your dad." Lloyd had said to Skylar when he was five and they were coloring in the middle of the dining room floor with a pile of crayons, a plate of cookies, and several yet to be colored in coloring books between them.

"I mean, yeah, probably, he's Lord Garmadon." Skylar had laughed, she was seven at the time, "And my dad is just some rando who's obsessed with snakes."

"Have you gotten to see Ninjago, Skylar?" Lloyd had asked as he grabbed a green crayon.

"Yeah, my dad lets me go to Ninjago City with the noodle trucks every month."

"Lucky, I've never gotten to see Ninjago City." Lloyd had pouted as he colored in a coloring page of a ninja.

"You've never seen Ninjago period, Lloyd. But hey, maybe when you're my age your Dad'll let you."

"I don't see why I can't go see Ninjago City." Lloyd argued with his father, now sixteen and still hadn't seen anywhere off Chen's island.

"Because I said so Lloyd." Garmadon replied, annoyance in his voice.

"That's not a reason!"

"I said no. End of story."

"Why couldn't I go with Skylar? Why not? Give me a valid reason and I'll stop asking!"

"I said no!" Garmadon yelled. "Go to your room! Now!"

"All I want is a valid reason! Just give me one good reason as to why I'm never allowed to go!"

"Your room! Now! Or I swear to my father you're going to be grounded!"

"I'm not a child, so stop with the childish threats!"

"Lord Garmadon, while I do enjoy discourse, and discord, I do have guests arriving soon. If you could move your son, that'd be wonderful." Chen spoke as a ferry was heard from outside. "They're here, finish this later."

"Just go to your room Lloyd, this argument is over." Garmadon grumbled.

Lloyd's face scrunched in confusion. "Who's here? No one ever comes to the island."

"Master Chen, has guests, he's asked that you avoid contact with them. Please just go to your room."

"Fine. But this argument isn't over Dad."

"Yes it is, now go."

Lloyd rolled his eyes and headed to his room.

"So you went to Ninjago today right?" Lloyd asked excitedly as Skylar let him into her room.

"Yes Lloyd I did." Skylar laughed as Lloyd sat on the floor, the blond was only two years younger than her, but still acted like a child.

"What'd you see? Was there anything interesting?"

"I only got to go to the docks this time around, but I got to meet the Elemental Masters."

"You mean the people my dad fought in the Serpentine War with?"

"No, their kids, those guys are probably dead by now, it's been what, thirty-something years?"

"Thirty-eight."

"You only know that because you actually listened when your dad told stories when we were little."

"Yeah I pay attention, because when I was five, he said it was twenty-seven years ago, but it's been elev-"

"Yes Lloyd, I can do math thank you."

Lloyd chuckled. "What were their powers? The elemental masters I mean."

"Well, I met the Master of Fire, his hair was kind of ridiculous, he was with the Masters of Lighting, Earth, and Ice. He got in a fight with the Master of Metal. I chatted with the Master of Form, she seems like a snake, my father will love her. Then there was the Masters of, Speed, Sound, Nature, Mind, and so many more."

"Sounds like a lot of people." Lloyd frowned. He didn't like crowded spaces.

"The ferry wasn't too crowded, there was plenty of room to walk." Skylar answered. "Anyways, how was your day stuck here?"

"Y'know the usual when you get to leave. I argued with my dad about my not being allowed to leave, got yelled at, I didn't cry this time, I almost got grounded though."

"That sucks, that's probably just him caring about you though. Y'know? He's probably worried you'll get hurt or something."

"Maybe, I dunno."
