(Movieverse) (This one's only in here because I can't think of a good 

Lloyd yawned as he walked into the living room, the news played on the TV.  "Once again, the green ninja and his team saved Ninjago City last night, stopping Garmadon from destroying the city for the sixth time this week." The reporter announces onscreen.

Lloyd glared at the screen as he made coffee and poured himself a mug. "I know My friends and I saved the city last night, and the night before, and the night before that, I just  slept for the first time in three days but hey, a hero's work is never done.... Technically that's not the only reason I didn't sleep for three days but..." He shrugged. "Oh well." He dumped in some creamer, stirred it, and took a drink. "What flavor is this creamer????" He looked at the creamer's label. "Ah, pumpkin spice. I grabbed mom's coffee creamer instead of mine. Oops." He shrugged and chugged the coffee. "Wait... Where is mom?" He spotted a note on the counter. "Had a late shift at work, sleeping in, have a good day if you leave to hang out with your friends before I'm up..." He read, before looking at the clock. It was almost noon (Yes he's only just now waking up. Being a ninja is hard.) "I don't have to leave to meet up with the others until one, and if mom had a late shift, she probably got home around one this morning, so she'll probably be up soon." He mumbled. "I'll call Zane and have him come help me make her food." He snatched his phone, called the Zane and.... "You're busy??? But you're the only person other then my mom that I know, that knows how to cook... I can't just make her instant Raman Zane. She works really hard just to be able to afford a home, which I know would be easier for her if I wasn't here... Yeah, okay, sorry to bother you, see you later." He hung up. "Okay, can't cook, I'll burn the building down and even more people will hate me...." He thought. "Coffee. I know how to make coffee. I can make toast, and I know how to make scrambled eggs without burning anything.... I can make mom some breakfast."

"You know you're not allowed to use the stove without someone else in the room Lloyd." Misako said from the doorway of the kitchen. "But it's sweet that you wanted to try."

"Hey mom, you sleep well?" Lloyd smiled sheepishly.

"Better then you it seems, you were asleep when I got home how is it you look more tired then me?"

"Insomnia, sleep paralysis... That sort of thing."

"Did you remember to take your meds?" Misako asked as she started making eggs.

"Yeah, I've been taking them Mom, they're just, not working, plus y'know the whole sleep paralysis is terrifying."

"What'd you say you saw last time?"

"I don't want to talk about it. You're not gonna trick me into telling you."

"I'm trying to help son."

"I know mom."

"Another thing," Misako began again. "Having you here does not, make my life harder. You are my sweet son, who I love, and would die of a broken heart if you disappeared. You hear me young man?"

"Yeah I know mom. It's just, we both know the reason the guy who owns the building made the rent so high compared to the neighbors'."

"Lloyd."

"I'm the reason, he made our rent twice as much as the other people in the buildings, if I didn't live here, he wouldn't've done that."

Misako sat a plate of eggs on the counter. "Lloyd, we pay the same amount of money as the neighbors do."

"No we don't mom." 

"You need to get going, your friends are probably waiting."

"Mom."

"Go."

Lloyd sighed and grabbed a piece of toast. "Love you Mom."

"Love you too son, now go, have fun with your friends... Don't do anything your father would do." 

Lloyd laughed as he left. "I won't."

"Lloyd, you're late." Kai said as Lloyd arrived half an hour later then the planned time for the friend group to meet.

"Sorry, had a small argument with my mom on whether or not the landlord doubled the rent because of who my dad is. Mom doesn't want to admit that I'm right." Lloyd shrugged as he plopped down onto the grass of the park. 

"That's rough buddy."

"Oh haha, very funny." Lloyd mumbled. "I didn't say that my first girlfriend turned into the moon."

"Lloyd, you've gotta stop blaming everything on the fact that your dad is, who your dad is." Nya pointed out. "Now come on, we've all been waiting for you to get here so we could get Ice Cream."

"Yeah, let's go." A large crash came from a few streets over. "Ah, Speak of the asshole." Lloyd mumbled. "Let's go, fight my father. For the seventh time this week." Another crash came, this time a bit closer. 

"Uh, does it sound like it's getting.... Closer?" Jay asked, as the large mech came into sight.

"Yeah, because it is." Lloyd muttered. 

"HAS ANYONE SEEN MY SON. HE'S ABOUT THIS TALL, PROBABLY BLOND, I THINK HE'S GOT GREEN EYES-" Garmadon yelled from the mech.

"You've gotta be fucking kidding me." Lloyd grumbled. "He's right but he's not sure about it."

"NEVER MIND I FOUND HIM." Garmadon yelled, the mech was a lot frickin closer this time.

"Oh Shit!" Lloyd dove out of the way of the massive robotic hand that had almost grabbed him. "GO AWAY!"

"WELL THAT'S NO WAY TO SPEAK TO YOUR FATHER."

"MAYBE IF YOU WEREN'T AN ABSENT-JERK-LORD OF A FATHER I'D HAVE EVEN THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF RESPECT FOR YOU."

"I AM YOUR FATHER-"

"SINCE WHEN?! SERIOUSLY I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHEN YOU'VE EVER BEEN THERE? WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU ACTED LIKE A FATHER INSTEAD OF A SELF-ABSORBED WARLORD WHO'S ONLY GOAL IN LIFE IS TO DESTROY THE CITY HIS CHILD, WIFE, AND BROTHER LIVE IN!????!!!!"

"God Lloyd, you are really gonna snap right now????" Nya asked. "We gotta go."

Lloyd took a breath. "I'm good, I'm good, let's go." The group ran off.

"Today, just before the ninja showed up and stopped Lord Garmadon for the seventh time this week, teenager Lloyd Garmadon, the son of Lord Garmadon, scolded his father, in public, showing not just how terrible of a father this warlord is, but also, how terrible of a husband and brother he is." A reporter said onscreen of the TV.

"Can we maybe just turn it off?" Lloyd asked as a clip was played.

"WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU ACTED LIKE A FATHER INSTEAD OF A SELF-ABSORBED WARLORD WHO'S ONLY GOAL IN LIFE IS TO DESTROY THE CITY HIS CHILD, WIFE, AND BROTHER LIVE IN!????!!!!"

"You really just, snapped." Nya said, still surprised.

The reporter on the news continued. "Just a few minutes ago, our studio sent a reporter to try to interview the young boy, over to you Jessica."

The screen switched over to a brown haired lady in front of Lloyd's apartment. Where he and his friend, were currently sitting. "Oh boy." Jay mumbled as the reporter onscreen knocked, and a knock rang through the apartment.

"If we're quiet enough they'll think no one's here." Lloyd whispered "Or we could sneak out my bedroom window?"

"Good plan." Most of the group began heading to Lloyd's room.

Nya paused. "Kai, c'mon."

"But I wanna be on the news." Kai whispered.

"No, you don't get to be on the news. Let's go." So Nya grabbed her brother's arm and dragged him to Lloyd's room, where the other ninja were already climbing out the window onto the fire escape.

"To the base?" Lloyd suggested. A chorus of yeah's, and sounds good to me's, rang out from the nodding ninjas. "Let's go then." And so, they went to hide out at Wu's house until the news lady left Lloyd's apartment.
