Season Five: Episode Three
Words: 1.1k

I watch along side the ninja as a dude gets pulled into the water. I get pulled by Kai and he hyperventilates. "I didn't know you were afraid of height," Jay says.

"I'm fine with heights, it's water I hate," Kai explains, getting up with my helps. I snort, he's really afraid of water?

"I was okay with it when I had my powers, but now- aah!" I turn around and grab Kai before he falls. Cole grabs my hands. "Now that we know ghosts don't like water either, at least we should feel safe surrounded by it."

As we walk into the village, it stinks. The whole place is ruined and people are yelling everywhere. "Let's split up."

—————————————

I hear a familiar voice and jump in front of it. I glare at Ronan. He's the one who sold Zane to Chen. "Hey, Ronan, my good friend."

I hold us a ball of darkness, wrapping my arm around him. He visible whimpers. "If this is about our last encounter, it was only business," Ronan gulps when the others ninja surround him.

He gets his arm off to put the vase down. "Aha!" A trap falls, missing us completely. "Uh, That was a mistake. I can explain that."

I stare cluelessly up at the trap. He really didn't do a good job with it. The others bicker with Ronan while I search around the store for the scroll.

"-can't you see, I'm trying to make an honest living."
I turn around. "Honest living? Honest enough to steal the scroll of Airjitzu?"

He gives me a look that says he has no idea what I'm talking about, but I don't buy it. "Even if I had such a thing, it sounds pretty old and important. Definitely not something I'd keep on site."

He continues to walk around, trying to sell us weaponry. Cole rolls his eyes and tiredly leans on me. I pipe up. "Have anything that can kill ghosts?"

Zane winces. "Vanquish ghosts?" Ronan walks over to another pile of weapons. "An aeroblade, forges by deepstone, an aquatic material mined from the bottom of the sea."

Kai reaches and grabs Ronan. Ronan only smirks. "Give us the scroll." The boys and Ronan argue about the price of the blades while I sit back to watch the show, laughing.

"Two hundred."
"Four hundred."
"Three hundred."
"Four hundred."
"Three fifty."
"Four fifty."
"Deal."

————————————

"Stiix and stone may break my bones," I say, hoping someone will continue. We all are walking around finding jobs for money we can use to buy the Aeroblades.

"Oh! I know this! But chain and whips excite me," Jay yelled. Kai stares at Jay, horrified. While Cole bursted our laughing. Zane stood there confused.
"No," I exclaimed in shock and horror. "That's not how it goes!"

We see a sign for 'help needed' to build something. "Oh, glad you showed up. Even with a hundred coin a head, couldn't find anyone willing to go out there."

"Eh, I don't know. Does it have to be over water," Kai complains. "Ain't the water you gotta be careful of, it's the strangleweed. Grab ahold of you and doesn't let go."

"We'll do it!"

————————————————

At first it goes great, until Zane gets a fly stuck in his mainframe. I take over. "(Y/n), try to use your powers to move the boards," Cole suggests.

I give him a look. I don't have telekinesis I have the powers of darkness. This surely won't go well. I summoned two lines of darkness and pick up a board.

It turns to ash and falls onto the dock that we built. The dock, plus everything, begins to fall apart: Zane is talking backwards, Jay and Cole have strangleweed on their legs, Kai can't hear me screaming at him.

The entire dock falls apart.
"Oh, crap."

—————————————

"His language database is on the fritz, it's going to take a while to fix it," Jay explains.
"Anyone wants to lead? Zane and Kai's plan didn't work. Jay?" I ask, not wanting to lead.

"Let's go steal the scroll. And it's not bad since we're stealing from a thief." I rub my forehead.

"Alright."

————————————

"Remember, we're returning the scroll to the library, after we learn Airjitzu," Jay says.
Cole rolls his eyes. "Whatever helps you sleep at night."

"Ninja...go!"
We all make our way to Ronan's through roofs. The roofs shake under our weight. "Guys, be careful, these houses aren't exactly-" I get cut off when Jay falls through.
"-stable."

We finally get to Ronan's shop. Jay tried to unlock it but slips and hits his head. "You're supposed to unlock it, not bite it," Kai whisper-yells.

Jay groans and goes to the roof, us following, and breaks the skylight. As I drop down, the other searching for the scroll, I feel a bad presence nearby and raise my guard.

"I found it," Cole yells, making me jumps. "The scroll?" Jay asks, turning turning around to face Cole. "No, the Blade Cup."

I growl at their childish behavior. "Holy pipes. The organ's got me!" I turn around and...in fact, the organs have wrapped themselves around Jay.

I feel arms wrap around me. "Morro, let me go," I yell, struggling against his grip. "Never," he growls, having his ghost friends grab me.

"Guys, help," I shout, being dragged away. I watch as Ronan grabs the Airjitzu scroll and runs away, being chased by the ninja and Morro.

I slump, putting all my weight into the hands of the ghost. It puts him off balance and allows me to get free from his grip, chasing after the others.

"Soul Archer, get her," Morro shouts to another one of his friends. I start to run even faster, propelling myself with my powers.

Suddenly, my body freezes, like I loose control. "Gotcha," Soul Archer whispers, pulling his arrow from my leg. I whimper, but it doesn't come out.

I'm stuck in my own body. "L...et...me...g-g...o."
"Sorry, girlie, no one can defeat Soul Archer's control. " I feel myself getting more and more numb as, like a robot, my body moves on its own.

Soul Archer leads to over to Morro, Kai being grabbed by strangleweed. "Learn this," Morro growls, shoving the scroll into my hands. I want to so badly bite back, but my hands open the scroll and learn Airjitzu.

My body maneuvers and starts to soar up into the air. As I come down, I land on Morro's dragon. "S-stop....th....is....no....w."

"Can't fight back without control," he quips, leaving Kai and the others in the dust. "(Y/n)," Cole shouts.
"H....el...p!"

My body weakens and I lose full control. "You're now mine," Morro growls.

"Yes, sir."
