"Aw, this is frustrating. Our weapons are gone, and most of our elemental power are too," Kai says trying to summon fire, "no offense (y/n) but I thought you would be able to do it best even without the golden weapons."

I sigh, "yeah, me too, but I guess not."
"I just feel so, I don't know, limited."

I walk off to Lloyd as Zane starts talking.
"Hey, Lloyd," I watch him pick up sticks and put them in the trash, "Hey sis."

I see him looks towards the dragons sadly, "don't worry champ," I pat him on the back, "Nya will have them up and ready in no time."

"(Y/n), come on," I hear Jay yell as he waves a piece of paper around, "well let's go Lloyd, see what they have found."

"This one bedroom, one half bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is in arms reach," she says leading us into a broken down apartment.

"Uh, why do I smell old people," Lloyd questions making the lady angry, "look, doll, I'm trying to work around your budget. This is all you can afford."

I growl at her making her whisper a small sorry. "This looks promising," Cole says, "remember guys, what Sensei told us, our main objective is to train Lloyd, not kick our feet up in some swanky suite. If this is all we can afford, this is all we can afford."

"Woah, woah, woah, lets not rush into any decision," Jay yells, "I mean, if it really all about Lloyd, don't we need to live in some place that'll make training easier?"

"Yeah, Jay's right," Kai says, "if we have to get Lloyd ready to save Ninjago from his father, shouldn't he at least have his own room?"

Zane goes to speak but Kai hits him making him stop. "I do have another property that you'll just love."

"Now, this is the eight-bedroom Hero Suite. Floor to ceiling windows, digital wall television, state-of-the-art game console..."
"It seems a little out of our price range," Cole says, "aw, look who's being a big boy," I say.

"Oh, sure it cost a little more, but you deserve it. I forgot to mention, there's also a dragon keep on the roof."

"Perfect," I say happily.
"We could get day jobs to pay for the extra expenses," Kai says, "we always said we could use a little more responsibility."
"But we have to train Lloyd," I saw putting my arm around him.
"Did I mention the in-house training facility?"

We all look as the door opens showing a huge training center.
"Well take it!"

"Oh... my feet," Cole groans, "I can't feel my feet."
"There were so many of them. And they wouldn't stop," Kai says sounding terrible.
"My gears locked up several times," Zane sighs, "I didn't even knock my gears could lock up."
"I don't even have enough energy to play video games," Jay whines.
"Who knew arms could get so sore from picking up food," I complain, "it's worse than training."

"But I thought you were going to train me when you got home," Lloyd says.
"Sorry champ, but we can't until we make rent," Cole says," How closer are we Jay?"

"Is this jar getting bigger? We're not even close."
"And our rent is due tomorrow."

"I can pull a double shift."
"And I can do overtime."
"I can do floral too."
"Maybe I can sling a few more pizza pies."
"And I can make a little extra if I do the human piñata," Kai says making me look at him horrified, "Ugh, don't ask."

"Great, then our priorities are set," Cole says, "tomorrow we make rent."
"And uh, what about me," Lloyd asks.
"Follow me," I sigh getting up to walk to the training center.

"Alright go into fighting stance," I say and he goes into it.
"Stagger your feet, they should be placed slightly wider than the hips," I pull his feet out.
I push one foot and he falls down, "your weight should be distributed evenly."
I put my hands up, "hit me," I say and he throws a punch immediately going flatfooted. "Never stand flatfooted on both feet," I say, "your movements can become sluggish. Again."
He throws again, staying upright. "Good."

"Keep your stomach tight," I say easily dodging a right hook, "we'll practice more tomorrow."

I sigh as I enter the apartment, Lloyd playing video games, "Hey, sis. Why are you home early?"

I fall into the couch, "I got fired by accidentally running a shopping cart into a car."
"Eh, it okay, the boys will get rent," he says.
I pat his head as he leans side-to-side along with his game.
"I'm gonna go make food okay?"
I hear him grunt as a response.

"Help me," I hear Lloyd scream. I drop what I'm doing and run out and see Scales in the room, "what!"

As he gets closer I throw punches that he easily counteracts with his staff. I see him swing it towards my head and everything goes black.

"(Y/n)? (Y/n)," I hear as my eyes flutter open.
"What hap," I stop myself, "I'm sorry Lloyd."
"It's okay, Sensei Wu and Nya helped," he hugs me.

He helps me up, letting me wrap my arm around him to keep myself up as I'm still dizzy from the hit I took.

"Loosing Lloyd is by far our greatest loss," I hear Cole say, "and where's (y/n)?"

"But it could be your greatest lesson," Sensei Wu says opening the door.
"You're okay," Kai says to Lloyd while Cole says the same to me.
"I wasn't going to be. Scales knocked (y/n) out, but Sensei and Nya showed up at the last minute."
"I go away for a day, and everything falls apart," Nya says as Cole takes me.

"I guess we can say that we learned we don't need all the fancy stuff, we just need each other," Kai says and I look to Cole smiling.
"Wait," I say and whisper in Cole's ear.
"I got a better idea," he says.

Lloyd bumps into Jay which makes him drop the box on Kai's foot, "feels like home to me."

"Hey, at least we get to stay in Ninjago City for a little while," Jay says, "and now without the distractions," Zane says while helping Lloyd move a bench.

"What happened to Scales," I ask Sensei.
"Oh, he found a home too, but it's not quite as roomy in here."
