Chapter Two: Garmadon.

By time they're done' Kai is holding a small green & black ball of what looks like energy.

"I have to admit, his code is beautiful." Neon says, looking at the ball of C.O.D.E. Kai nods. "And to think, we made from his human brain waves." Kai says, mesmerized. Neon nods. "And with the D.N.A. sample you gave me, he'll have a vessel soon." She explains.

Kai looks at the little black box on the table in front of him. It says: B.R.A.I.N - X. On the side in bold white lettering. Neon leaves the room. Kai sighs, what was he to do? He always wished to be a real human, and here he was, turning a human into what he wished he was not... A computer program. That's all he was. C.O.D.E.

At least, that was what their original human creators called them thousands of years ago.

He was a code. Just a simple computer code with A.I. That's all. At least, that's what he thought.

Neon comes back with a body under a sheet on a table. She moves back the sheet enough to open the top of the head. Neon then opens the box and takes out what looks like a black glowing brain made of some weird metal. She places it in the head and hooks it up inside. Kai watches as she opens the eye lids and puts in two eyes that came in the box, next Kai holds the code up to the brain-x as they called it, and the code absorbs into the device. Kai then closes the head, the skin melding closed to protect the compartment.

After that, they stand back and watch as the eyes blink. The person then sits up & marvels at their new body. Their head turns to look at Kai & Neon.

His Eyes.

"Kai? What is going on? Where am I? How am I here?" He asks. Kai smiles. "Hey Garmadon. I managed to copy your brain wave pattern perfectly with all your memories and everything, then turned that wave into an electrical ball of computer code and put into the device now acting as your brain. Your body human except for the fancy computer in your head we call a brain-x. Your current body was cloned from your original one, and as you can see, you're body is much younger now." Kai explains.

"How do you how to do all this?" Garmadon asks. "I am a code, much like you are now, but I was programmed in a computer, you are simply copied brain waves." Kai answers him. "My 'name' is actually K2K3, for it is the name of my code file." Kai explains further then puts a hand on Neon's shoulder. "And this is my friend, Neon. She helped me do all this." He adds. "Is she.... Code to?" Garmadon asks. "Yes." Is Kai's answer.

When Kai gets Garmadon back to Ninjago, they ride on Kai's elemental dragon back. "Please, the other must not know what I am or what you've become. Humans don't know that world exists for a reason. Nya doesn't even know, and her dad is the one that programmed me and fathered this body." Kai explains. "How did you end up in this body? If I may ask." Garmadon asks. "This body was born with no brain waves. That's when father replaced the brain with my brain-x and all that. I first woke up in this body. The real Kai Smith was a still born. I, K2K3, merely took his place in his body." Kai answers.

The ride is quite till they see the bounty after that. Kai lands on the ship just as everyone comes out. "I... Have a surprise." Kai says to the others, Garmadon hiding behind him. Garmadon closes eyes then opens them again, making them look human. He then steps out from behind Kai. "Look who I found!" Kai says excitedly.

Lloyd runs over and hugs his father. "Dad!" He shouts happily. The two embrace each other.

Kai smiles at the family reunion as Wu & Misako embrace Garmadon to.

Soon enough, everyone is hugging Garmadon with happy tears in their eyes.

When it's all over, Kai smiles to himself, happy to have helped.
