Chapter 10: The resistance never quits!

An hour after the suggested plan of Lloyd, the chosen team heads out. They sneakily made their way all the way to Borg tower, trying not to be seen by anyone, even the citizens of Ninjago. Knowing the insane motorcycle gang, they'd force them to spill out all the information they know about the resistance. As the leader of the resistance, the green ninja was personally really nervous about this plan. Yes, he's done sneak-in missions before but somehow, today it seemed different. It's not like this new threat to Ninjago was scaring him or anything but it just made him lose his confidence a bit. He thinks the cause of it all was because his father. What he told him weeks ago still makes him shiver. "I have no son!" he remembered the furious look of his own father's face when he realized that Lloyd was resisting him. Now, he'll need to fight with him again? When will destiny stop toying with his feelings? They were already shattered countless of times when he had to fight off his father, not like he enjoyed any of them.

"We're here. Borg Tower. " Paleman pointed at the ominous black and dark purple tower. Pretty good colour palette choice for the SOG. It suits them. Black as their heartless souls and dark purple for their twisted organization of royalty.
the resistance know perfectly well that Emperor Garmadon isn't doing any good to this city at all and they think it's because Harumi is always there to advise him when he's not being harsh enough to the townspeople. Well whatever her advice was, it sure worked, everyone and they mean everyone is terrified of the whole band of SOG. From the emperor going all the way down to the lower ranks of the guards. "Can you go over the plan again Lloyd? " Neuro asked the powerless green ninja. He nodded and coughed before starting.

"The plan is simple, we sneak inside the recording studios and possibly try to record a message that adresses to all of Ninjago. " he smiled but it faded away slowly as he saw all the jaw drops of his teammates. Ofcourse, that plan was anything but simple. "How are we supposed to do all that without getting caught? " Turner lifted his jaw up and sprinted around Lloyd, the 'leader of the resistance'. He thought then came up with his answer: "Let's just wish faith's by our side." He said shortly before gesturing his group behind a rather tall tree. All elemental masters were more than scared to attempt this plan, if one of the generals or even the second in command catches them, they're gonna be thrown in the dungeons for sure. Lloyd noticed that there were still guards roaming around the front of the towers, but his attention caught on the big guy, known as Killow. He's fought with him before. They needed a sort of distraction...

That's until, they heard loud footsteps come from behind them. Lloyd instantly turned around but was greeted by a cloud of wind slamming into his frontage. He shut his eyes immediately, hoping not to get some air in his eyes. It may seem like a lovely thing, but wind can be deadly. He's learnt that, through and through. It seemed like whoever was behind him, has now ran past him. So he turned back around and there he saw a man dressed in purple. The man shrieked as he clumsily fell in front of the colossi's foot and didn't bother on getting up. "Ahhhhh! They're after me!" he screamed, only catching the attention of the resistance. It was the mailman.

Meanwhile, the second in command walked up the steps leading to the throne room. Located on the rooftop. She bowed and sighed. "You asked to see me? My emperor? " she asked with her usual confident tone, ready to note down his orders. All she heard in response was Garmadon's loud breathing. His blood red eyes were squinted towards the deeper ramparts of the city. One could mistaken it as a city fallen in ruins at this moment. He knows very well that he was abusing the city way too much, but something in his body told him to keep destroying it. He loved that feeling. Despite knowing that his actions were so wrong. "The City is too quiet. I feel the presence of my son" he warned her, not bothering to turn his head back to face her correctly. Harumi clenched her fists at the topic of the conversation.

"He'd be foolish to show his face. " she narrowed her eyebrows. The white haired girl expected a period of silence but instead she was greeted with Garmadon pulling off an angry expression. "Do I look like a fool?" he asked his second in command, hoping for the honest of answers. Harumi gulped as she felt her fists sweat. How and when did the topic suddenly changed to that? She felt the massive pressure as if someone was testing her. If she answers with: "yes" she'd get more than a mild punishment. Though...if she answered with: "no", he would get suspicious. Maybe she was lying? The princess didn't think much as she saw Garmadon's impatient expression. There was one option left to do. The dark lord may not like it, but the situation was at risk at the moment.

"I will handle security at the tower myself, I will not fail you. " she cuffed her hands together before heading out. She walked down the stairs and went inside of the lift. Garmadon turned back around and continued staring at his so called kingdom. The words of the quiet one seemed promising, but still, he had more than a surprise coming if she does. It'll teach her for failing her dark emperor. As the lift went down to the lowest levels of the tower, more racket and noise was coming out of the recording studios. It seemed like Ultra Violet wasn't finished with her current episode of Ultra Hunt.
"The clock's still ticking and the mailman hasn't been delivered. That means its bonus time! " she bounced on her chair, finishing off with an amused laugh.

Finally reaching the ground level of Borg tower which was also known was: 'outside', Harumi approached one of her generals. He was currently talking with a few of the lower ranks of the SOG. she rolled her eyes at that. They should be on the lookout and not talking about the littlest things in life. Heck, even the topic didn't interest her. "And then he said..it wasn't me! " Killow finished off his joke towards the two attentive members. Hearing the end of the joke, the SOG members joined Killow into a loud laughing fit. However, it was cut short as the quiet one's voice rung inside their ears. "Keep your eyes peeled, the emperor says he senses something." She explained at her lackeys. Killow was the first one to ask questions. It was shown at his confused look.

"Senses? Is that like a new power he's suddenly got? " he inquired at the second in command. Although it seemed like Harumi was perfectly fine, she was annoyed deep inside. Why did he have to ask so many questions? Can't he just do this job?? Why does he need to question every single detail of her command???. The quiet in command growled silently as she lowered her head and her lips pursed tightly. "What do I know?" She shrugged then lifted her head up. From there, Killow and the SOG guards were greeted face to face with dead eyes, dreading for success. For once in her life.
"Just don't make me look bad. " was her final sentence before storming off, back inside the tower where her services were best needed. The orange coded general simply shrugged back at the confused looks of the SOG members. He bets that the only question they have is: "is the quiet one always that menacing?"
~~~
From behind a tree, the resistance peeled through to check if the so called: "distraction" has been set. Apparently it was close, Harumi just passed by but nothing really worked. Lloyd wishes that she could be in any more use to them but not at the moment. Maybe some sort of event has to happen in order to overwhelm her? He doesn't know what the future has in plan for this battle. Lloyd turns around and pulls down the black part of his ninja mask down. He observes that the master of the mind was in deep thought. But of what? "What are you thinking Neuro?" The green ninja asked the man. He placed his hands over both sides of his head as he kept concentrating. "I'm thinking....what they are thinking.." the mind master replied shortly as whatever he did seemed to work.
"Does anyone like Karaoke?" That sentence entered the orange coded general's mind. He had no idea how that random thought entered his mind like that so easily but for some reason, he's just really in the mood to do some karaoke. That's when he suddenly said: "You know what would be awesome right now? Karaoke. " he concluded, waiting for the answer of the two other members. Which they didn't take long to answer to Killow's surprise. "Yeah great idea, we were just thinking that. " one member said with a smile whilst pointing at his friend beside him. So it was settled then, the orange coded general and his two comrades walked down the stairs of the tower and made their way to the karaoke bar. With excited expressions on their faces, almost as if they looked like kids. "We're off to sing- la da dee la dee doo!"
Lloyd grinned at the three figures walking off in the distance. He was about to move forward to enter the tower but stopped when he felt a hand being placed on his shoulder. It was Neuro, who was smiling. "You asked for a distraction, didn't you? " he told him.
~~~
"That's our cue." Skylor said whilst running over to what seems to be a piller. If some sort of attack happens while they're climbing up that thing, they'd be falling down. However, it won't be bad for them, they had elemental powers so they could save themselves easily although in the SOG's case. Garmadon was the only one with powers. The master of amber thinks that the dark lord wouldn't even have the heart to save the gang of rebels that risked their lives to find the three Oni masks to resurrect him. The resistance started climbing up the piller, one by one. From all the adventures that they've been through, none of them were scared of heights. Hence, they rode dragons before and those creatures could get wild when it comes to airborne flights.

Once they arrived at the limited height of the piller, they were greeted by a small platform. It seems to be a sort of lift for the painters to add an extra coat of colour if the tower's gotten rusty through the years. "Alright Paleman, make sure that none of the SOG knows about our plans. " Lloyd pointed at the window. The master of light understood what he requested and right away like a blink of an eye, he disappeared. Well not exactly out of the current location but rather, passed through the window of the tower. From inside, he'd make sure that no one finds out that they've been here all along with his invisibility abilities. "I hope no one finds out." Neuro placed his palm on the side of the small lift so that the pressure on his hand lifts him up on the platform. The others soon followed. "Let's hurry." Shade warned before pulling on the rope to pull them up. Even though the ride seemed wobbly with the weight of all of them combined, everyone was safe and sound.

As they were about to arrive near the last floor, they noticed that the actual lift was rising up from the ground floor. There was only one option on who that was. The quiet one. The resistance saw her walk back inside the building and assumed that she would be taking the lift back up. Skylor looked down, Eyes fixed on the elevator. "Guys, we've got company." She told the rest of the resistance. The platform stopped moving as all eyes were centred on the elevator that was close to coming on their current level of height. Lloyd narrowed his eyebrows. No way was he letting his team get caught this moment. He worked so hard to try and find a plan to somehow weaken the SOG, especially his own father.
"Not for long. " he said as an idea brewed up inside his mind. His teammates seemed intrigued with his plan.

From inside the elevator, The top of it shook a little. Did the colossi brought along some rocks he found from the ruined parts of Ninjago? However, that theory didn't make since the colossi was no where near Borg Tower. The quiet one extended her arms to the side to balance herself if the shaking gets any worse. Being in an elevator while a potential attack was happening wasn't the best, she's learned that years ago facing the nasty rears of the great devourer. As she was about to climb up the elevator's railing to check what was going on by opening the little trap door up above, the small platform passed by. She noticed it going down and only one statement rung in her mind: "Someone's watching us"
But, she didn't have that much time to think about it because the elevator doors opened only resulting for her to go out of the lift. She was the one that requested that she would be the one to watch the tower for her emperor, she couldn't just abandon her job as his elite second in command to become a kid again and play detective.

Once Harumi was out of the lift, Paleman quickly rushed out of the small area and checked if she was no where seen in the corridors. After his checkup, he ran back inside and tapped on the glass window. Informing  the others that all guards inside the elevator has successfully left. Lloyd nodded at his gesture and opened the trap door. "This Floor should be the recording studios. " the master of light mentioned to the green ninja. Lloyd gestured for the others to jump down since the coast was clear. "I'm surprised that our little sneak in has been this easy!" The green ninja whispered to Skylor who was walking out of the lift and was faced with the ominous long hallways. She chuckled at his excitement. "Just don't jinx it." She was walking off, leaving Lloyd to place his hands on his mouth to prevent himself from gasping as he realized his dumb mistake.

As they were heading towards the recording studios, something is noticeable on the walls. A shadow...with four arms?!
"This is not good" Lloyd whispers to his group. Neuro swiftly turns around and presses the button to go down the elevator as much as he could. However, it seemed like it was currently being used at the moment and they were making their ways up here too. "Ambushed. This plan was going so well too..." the master of the mind turned to the resistance's leader. Although it's insinuate that this would be a dead end for them, the green ninja shook his head. "No." He took a stand. "I won't let my father ruin this for us. " he said before turning towards the elemental master of amber. Skylor was their only hope, her absorption could be the escape key out of this situation.

"Are you able to control two elements at a time?" Lloyd questioned the redhead. For Skylor's case, she actually didn't know what the answer was to that question. She was always used to controlling one element since she thought tat she didn't need a second one to give her a burden. "I don't know, haven't tried." She replied. There was a slight silence between them until the shadow produced grunts, loud grunts. "Here's coming...Skylor can you atleast try? " the green ninja begged. At a situation like this, how could the master of amber resist? With both her palms extended, she placed them both on Paleman and Shade. Absorbing both shadow and light. "You can do this Skylor.." the resistance all encouraged quietly. She started to push her figure forward a bit as she felt nothing coming out of her palms.
Lloyd secretly hoped that she would be able to pull this off. She needed to do it, or else, they'd spend the last days of their life trapped in the dungeons of this place...plus the former jade princess would probably poke fun at their failures.

Suddenly, as she gave one push forward and let a grunt escape her swollen lips, a light and shadow power ball appeared in front of their eyes. "It worked! " Lloyd smiled brightly. Skylor smiled in return. After that sweet exchange, the resistance stayed silent as Garmadon was now visible in front of them. Being behind the invisibility ball, they felt like spectators of the current events happening by the SOG base. Lloyd backed away slightly how close his father was to him.
Garmadon's eyebrows rose. "Something not's right here...I feel my son.." he says as he gets even closer to the forcefield in front of the resistance. Lloyd tries to warn the others to not make a sound. Just when his head was completely inside the forcefield, the elevator doors open. The more than mildly surprised second in command noticed her emperor jut standing there. Questions grew inside of her.

"My emperor, are you alright?" She asked in a calm tone. Garmadon immediately made his way inside the elevator, grabbing her arm tightly with one of his four arms. "I feel my son's presence. Maybe he's in the floor below us. Hurry." he told her before the doors shut closed and the elevator began going back down. Once the coast was cleared, Skylor let go of the power she was holding on and collapsed on the ground. "Hey you did it!" Lloyd reminded her again whilst helping her up. She nodded feeling a bit weak. "You learn something new everyday..."

~~~
Back inside the recording studios, Ultra Violet was getting even more impatient when it comes to capturing the requested prisoners. She was leaned on the back chair, a bored look on her face. "So what? You help us catch everyone else but no one knows where the mailman is?! " she stood up on the chair and ripped a wanted poster of the mailman from the wall. "He's just a postal work, why have we not caught him yet people?!" she yelled onto the camera, addressing to the millions of people watching. As she was about to say another word, a loud thud interrupts the whole recording studios gang. It looked like it was an interruption, there was even kicking, punching and overall, people falling on the ground heard from the screens of the people watching. What was going on?
Since the camera was dropped, all footage cut and was replaced with a 'please stand by' screen showing on the TV screens throughout Ninjago. Ultra Violet didn't seem too happy with that. Lloyd was standing right in front of her, this could be her big chance to show to Lord Garmadon that she was better than the quiet one. She would be the one to capture his son. Just as she took out her sai from behind her back, she felt her arms tighten up from behind her, her weapon falling out of her hands too. From there, she realized that she had been restrained from the attacker from abaft.
Paleman turned to Lloyd as he kicked the sai further away from Ultra Violet. "Sorry V, looks like your show has been cancelled. " he smirked victoriously and grabbed a large amount of rope to tie up the SOG. That's exactly what took place, four SOG members including a self centered brat among them.
Skylor quickly got to work by continuing the live recordings. She gestured Shade and Neuro to hold up both the cameras and lights. The green ninja stood still and centered on te Green screen. He was still thinking about what he should say to the people watching him in a few minutes. "In a few minutes we'll go live, are you ready?" The master of amber asked the boy. In which he nodded. "Then it's settled." She typed a few things on the keyboard and the light that is located on top of the door was lit up, signifying that people are watching him this very moment. The powerless green ninja took a shaky deep breath.
"Hello Ninjago . It's me Lloyd Garmadon, the green ninja." he announced, making it clear to the viewers of who he was. Maybe some people may not remember what their saviour looked like throughout all these years. It's true, the ninja hasn't been active since Sensei Wu's disappearance but now that his father was back, a new adventure calls them.
"Lord Garmadon wants you to be afraid. But I need you to be brave." he pumped a fist up in the air to try and encourage others. Skylor smiled at him. "You're doing great Lloyd..." she nodded herself.
Meanwhile, in the halls, the quiet one was making a few rounds on the current recording studios floor. She knows for a fact that Ultra Violet is still glued up with that show of hers so the general wouldn't be bothered when it comes to checking for any suspicious people roaming around. As she passes by a corridor, she found herself getting caught off guard by a familiar voice coming up on the TV screen. Her lips trembled in fury as she recognized who it was. Her arch nemesis. Lloyd Garmadon. Also known as the idiot who realized the great devourer and killed her parents.  "With The Help Of Princess Harumi, Lord Garmadon struck a major blow against Ninjago City." She actually found herself sitting there, listening to every word he said. Each word hitting her already inflaming insides.
Like a furious lion, she growled and clenched her palms into fists. She just wanted to go inside the recording studios and kill him this instant. Right here, right now. However, her dark lord wouldn't be too fond of that. He said he wanted his son to be alive. For what reason though? Whatever it was, even though it comes from her emperor, the girl would never approve. Her eyes widened, she ran to the nearest computer screen she could find and began typing like a bullet some code into the computer. No way was Lloyd destroying her perfect security plans for her this time.
~~~

Lloyd continued speaking, unaware that Harumi has just discovered that he was here. "We're ready to strike back. There is a resistance and we may be small but we're power-" he felt his lips stop moving once his eyes caught on one of the computer screens glitching out. The blonde thought that it maybe just ran out of battery? that Ultra Violet has been getting too much screentime lately. But he soon realized that his worst nightmare just happened. There it was. The footage of the battle between his determined and certainly changed father. Oh how it hurt him, he missed his father gravely and thought that their final goodbye would be the only last memory he had for when his father was turned good. Now seeing that his previous lover had brought back his father in his worse and evilest state, certainly broke his heart for good. "P-P-Powerful.." he finished his previous sentence before throwing his head back and fixed his eyes on the ground. Seeing his saddened expression, the elemental masters all looked at eachother, curiosity building up inside of them. "Skylor look!" Turner pointed at one of the computer screens, specifically the one that showed Garmadon and Lloyd's battle.

The master of amber gasped as she quickly turned her chair back and began trying to close the current footage that caused Lloyd to just suddenly stop. In Lloyd's case, he noticed the pieces of wanted posters on the ground. So many people were taken to Kriptarium...and he couldn't save them....it was too late. No, even though he didn't have elemental powers, he mustn't give up on the people or Ninjago. He must continue fighting even though he is currently feeling in his weakest of days. "I may not have elemental powers but I call upon the power of the people. When we get knocked down, we rise up. Stronger than before. " a smile grew on his face as a new era of determination shone inside of him.

"This is our city. He thinks he can bully us with stone giants well this isn't the first time our city has faced ruins. Buildings fall. But we rise!" he crossed his arms, a serious expression clearly being shown on the camera. A few elemental masters giggled at that. Just when he was about to say another word, he heard the loud bangs by his side. Harumi must of found their presences. He could hear her demand her oversized general to break down the doors.
"Hurry! Grr...Hurry!" Her screams were obviously audible. Lloyd knew that he had to make this quick. He thought of his  final words and smiled even brighter once he found more words to enrich his vocabulary. "And to you father, I say this: Fighting me may make you feel powerful but you're about to see what real power is." He looked out of the sky clear windows, a feeling in his gut telling him that his father was indeed listening to every word he was saying despite fighting back the urges to not. Lloyd wanted his father to be alerted, that one day, not today, he will defeat him once and for all.

"The Resistance Never Quits!"
~~~
Finally after a successful punch, the SOG members including the quiet one entered the recording studios to find Ultra Violet and some more guards tied up in ropes. Harumi growled as she ran towards the windows, a huge crack greeted their furious eyes. Escaped again, she mentally cursed inside. "They escaped." Killow stated. She narrowed her eyebrows and turned her back, getting ready to head to Lord Garmadon's Throne Room to warn him. "Not for long." She said to him. Her fists were still ready to punch someone, More fury grew inside of her. "It's time to take the trash out.."
A/N and there you go! Chapter 10! Is finally finished! Sorry that it took longer than usual, I had immense writer's block and school just started so things got mixed up. I'm also collabing with an author named RumiVoid. We would be starting our new story together called: The Ninja Belonging To The Void. We certainly hope that most of you guys will enjoy since it will mostly revolve around Harumi and a little secret of hers ;). Once that story reaches Chapter 5, I will be continuing Change Of Heart AU. For now, it will be put on hold. Thanks for reading and understanding! Cya!
