Sams POV

Lloyd and sam quickly ran to their rooms grabed a few weapons and ran out. As they were running down the hallway they heard  voices shouting "hey you stop right there!" Shit lloyd we better go I said grabbing the blonds hand. We ran  out of the room and into the hallway. look I said we can go through the air vents, pointing to a rectangle like vent with little dashes across it. Nice thinking sam he said as he ran over and took off the lid leaving a wide open space inside of it. Ladies first lloyd said with a funny smirk on his face. I ran over and crawled into the vent. After I was a few feet inside lloyd crawled in after me placing the vents top back on. As we crawled through the vent we saw an open gap with light coming through so we went over there and got out. It was a few feet off the ground and I fell out with lloyd almost falling on me. Sorry sam ... well that was fun he said in a slightly funny voice. We both got up and looked around before lloyd had said were on the east side of the base near the forest we should head that way while its still dark, once day time comes we will have to hide. I looked at him with sorrow in my eyes whats wrong sam? He said his emerald green eyes showing concern. I looked at him before saying this is our home ho-how can we just leave?
He looked thoughtful for a moment I don't know but we either have to kill them or they will kill us. I nodded my head in agreement and we both ran into the woods with the cold night air piercing my skin. I looked back at the hidden base one last time knowing I might not see it again. Lloyd turned to me are you ready sam? I looked at him my throat was tight I managed to croak out yes. We jumped into a portal to who knows where.
