Hello everybody! Ever since I was young, I loved the "art of" books that were released for movies and games. Showcasing concept art and early ideas. I wanted to share some of that with you! 
Some of these were drawn before I actually started writing. (Or in the process of writing the 1st chapter)

Enjoy some original sketches of what I thought the characters outfits would look like!

I wanted Jay to look like he was really tired and sorta 'no longer in there'... so I made his eyes just a gradient and didn't give him a defined pupil. Him mostly being covered up by his cloak is partly symbolism. He was hurt, and is now far less open about things. He's covering up all his scars, trying to avoid remembering they’re there, but they always will be; just under the surface.
(That's why the conversation with Miles was so important. He took off his cloak.)

Kai’s gloves are actually supposed to be fire proof because of the concern that his growing power would become too much.

Ronin has several weapons on him. He never feels safe.

Zane’s cover over his power core is damaged, so in his human cloak, there's a scar across his chest where it would be.

Interesting fact-
Most of Dareth’s concept art had him with a mask. There were actually several jokes that were supposed to be made surrounding it, due to it apparently being nearly impossible to see out of. Said mask never made it into the story because it didn't make sense. The mask was supposed to be an intimidation thing, but his whole personality is trying to be comforting to the others. It didn’t fit his deal, so I scrapped it.

Og Vinny concept was pretty dark. I don’t know why, but I decided against the satchel (and shoes apparently) at some point.

Funny enough, Gayle Gossip's "weapon" never actually showed up in the story.

Interesting fact 2-
Clutch Powers was originally supposed to die in the fire that destroyed the NCTV News Tower. To be more accurate, Vinny was going to kill him. Because Vinny saw Clutch being responsible for Dwayne’s death, he was his first target. After ending Clutch, THEN he'd move on to the revenge against Gayle Gossip.

Stupidly, I scrapped the idea because I drew this picture of him and decided I loved him too much to kill off so soon.

(Because the apocalypse started when Hands of Time would have picked up, the ninja would've had their original designs. I drew them in their new style because it made them seem more grown-up. Especially Lloyd.)

Mr. E was interesting to design, due to it having to look original, but I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

(Fun fact- before I got to the part where I had to fully plan out the SOG, I was considering having Mr. E be Echo Zane. But I scrapped the idea because I don't headcannon it anymore, and it would complicate things too much.)

Scott was actually pretty last minute thinking. I was originally going to have Kai and the other survivors get captured by the Time Twins and SOG after Clutch Powers was shot. The other ninja would find them locked up later on. The idea was scrapped because I felt they needed something good to happen to them next, as opposed to another terrible event.

He was always planned to be in tangled with the SOG from the start.
