Kai P.O.V

We were sleeping peacefully until we heard the gong

"Evil doesn't sleep, and neither should you!" Master Wu said as he banged the gong "In order to reach your full potential, we must greet each day as an opportunity"

"Okay, okay. We're up" I said as I got out from bed and jumped down from the top bunk "But if you want us to reach our full potential, shouldn't we at least get a full night of rest?" I went to open up the blinds, but it fell apart

"Unh... You call that a rest? I think my back has more lumps than the mattress" Cole said as he popped his back

"We were up so late, talking about how cool it is to have a new headquarters. I guess we lost track of time" Jay turned on the sink, but instead of water, it was dirt "Since the serpentine burned down the monastery, I'm just glad we have a roof over our heads- Ack!" Then Jay spit out the toothpaste that had dirt

"What is our lesson today, sensei?" Zane asked "Mastering the strike of the scorpion? Or perhaps the grace of a- Ah!" The floorboard broke underneath Zane and dust went to his face, making cough

"I think today's lesson will be chores" Master Wu said

"Chores!?" We all yelled

"Ninja fight sensei. They do not clean" Cole said

"In order to respect ourselves, we must respect our new home and where we are from. And this place is a long way from becoming a ninja headquarters. I expect things will be spotless when I return" Master Wu said as he started leave the room "And put your backs into it. Also, make sure to not wake up Miku" Master Wu said as he banged the gong again

After he left, Cole pulled Zane out of the floor, and I sighed

"This place is gonna take forever to clean and fix" I said

"Unless we put more than our backs into it, huh?" Jay said, hinting we should use our Spinjitzu

Miku P.O.V Afternoon

The sunlight hit my face; I rubbed my eyes as I started to wake up

'Why did the guys make me stay up all night?' I thought to myself as I hugged the plushie 'I better get up, I need to clean my new room' I got up from bed, changed clothes and started cleaning up my room. I opened my window so the room can have some air, I picked up a piece of cloth and covered the bottom half of my face and started dusting my room. Since there's not a lot of stuff that needed to be taken out, I did my bed and placed my plushie by my pillow. So, I decided to read the letter that my dad left behind, I grabbed the letter from the box, and I sat down on the bed

To my children,

By the time you are reading this, I've completely changed and became a completely different man, and I won't be there to help train you both how to control the power. I leave this letter to explain when one of you have inherited my dark powers. The dark powers allows us to control the shadows and darkness even change forms. We can change into our shadow form as well. We also have some connections to the serpentine since the venom of the Devourer runs through our veins, in order to show you mean no harm, you must show dominance. There are so many things I want to tell you both, but I don't have a lot of time. Before I turn completely, Miku, my sweet daughter, I want you to know that ever since you were born, it seems that you are engaged to someone, but sadly I have no idea who he is, but the mark will appear once you are old enough. You'll start to have dreams that will lead you to him. I hope he'll take care of you someday when you are older, but know this, I won't hold back on him if he ever makes you cry.

After I finished reading the letter, I was shocked about me being engaged

'Does Uncle Wu know about this? Did my mom know too?' I thought to myself with these questions, but will Uncle Wu answer them? 'Maybe I should start learning how to use my powers. I want to help everyone'

When I put the letter away back in the box, I heard a honking noise coming outside, I looked out the window and saw a big car heading towards the ship

'Were we expecting visitors?' I grabbed my plushie, left my room and headed outside; I saw a couple jumping out of the car

"Mom, dad! What are you doing here?" Jay looked at his parents with a nervous look

"Oh, look, it's my baby boy! It's been so long since we heard from you" Jay's mom said

"Ma, I called you two days ago" Jay said as he and everyone else got off the ship to greet them, while I peeked over the ships railing

"Well, it's not soon enough, son. When are you coming to the junkyard? You say you're coming, and then you don't" Jay's dad said

"Dad, do we have to talk about the junkyard in front of my friends?" Jay asked with an embarrassed look

"He hates it when we tell people he was born in a junkyard" Jay's mom said and she looked at Nya "Oh! And who are you? You are so cute! You're just my son's type"

"Mom!" Jay's face burned in embarrassment

"It's a pleasure meeting you. I'm sure if you want, Jay can give you the tour. He worked very hard on it" Nya said

"We'd love a tour!" Jay's parents said and that Jay sigh

They started heading back to the ship, and I hid behind a crate. I peeked over the crate and Jay's mom saw me

"Oh! Who is this little girl?" Jay's mom asked

"Little girl? Oh! You mean Miku" Jay said as he walked towards the crate where I was hiding and lead me towards his parents

"H-Hello... I-It's nice to meet you... I'm M-Miku..." I introduced myself while looking down at the ground with a shy look and hugging my plushie

"She's adorable!" Jay's parents said as they made their way towards me

"This reminds me when Jay used to be so little" Jay's mom said as she squished my cheeks

"Yes, she does! Oh! Remember when Jay was little, he used to help me create fun inventions, Edna?" Jay's dad as he patted my head

"Mom, dad! How about we start the tour?" Jay said as he started to drag his parents

"Wow, Jay's parents are quite something. Right Miku?" Kai said to me, but I looked away and decided to draw some pictures for my room

Kai P.O.V

After Miku left, I sighed

'She's still won't talk to me' I tried making conversation with her, but she either doesn't respond or pretends not to hear

"I really need to think of a way to apologize to her. But what?" I started to think, and I was hit with an idea "I know! Maybe sensei, the guys and Nya might know" I rushed inside the ship and asking for ideas

While walking around, I found master Wu drinking tea as usual

"Master Wu! I need some advice!" I said

"What is it, Kai?"

"I need some advice about how to make Miku forgive me. It's frustrating not being able to talk to her" I said and Master Wu took a sip of his tea

"You need to earn her trust, Kai. Since you said you didn't trust her in the beginning, you need to have her see that you are worthy of her trust again" Master Wu said

"As usual, you're right" I said

"If you need more advice, make sure to speak with your brothers. I'm sure they'll be willing to help you" Master Wu said and I left the room

Timeskip - Early evening

I talked to Zane first since he's the smart one, he said I should leave Miku alone and she'll start talking to me when she's ready, Cole said I should get her some cake, but I already know he just wants to eat cake, Nya said the same thing as Zane had told me earlier. I would ask Jay, but he was busy giving his parents the tour of the ship

Sometime later, Jay's parents started to leave, so I decided to follow everyone, who were escorting out

"So, you promise to come to the junkyard and visit your mother and father?" Jay's mom asked

"Yes. I promise. But only if you leave. I don't want you to get hurt, it's getting dark. Uh, your headlights are working, right?" Jay asked and his dad turned on the headlights, which were too bright

"Heh. Like them?" His dad asked "I used a little extra juice. Yep. Bye, son. I couldn't be more proud"

"And bring Nya with you. I can see why you like her. Also, bring little Miku too!" Jay's mom said, making Jay even more embarrassed

"Now that they have left, perhaps Jay can teach us the art of kissing pillows" Master Wu said while snickering and we all started laughing

"Uncle Wu" We looked back at the ship and saw Miku standing by the entryway

"What is it, Miku?" Master Wu asked

"I'm hungry. Who's turn is it?" Miku asked as she held her grumbling tummy

"It's actually my turn" I said

"Oh. Okay" That's all what she said as she headed back inside the ship, and I slumped down

"I'm sure she'll speak to you again. Someday. Just give her some time" Nya reassured me as she and everyone else went back to the ship

Miku P.O.V The Next Day

I was finishing my drawings from yesterday. I drew Uncle Wu, my twin brother Lloyd and my dad

'I wonder why my mom isn't here... I have no idea what she even looks like, but Uncle Wu said I kinda look like her' I thought to myself, and I started drawing the ninja and Nya

"I wish I have some crayons..." I said to myself, and I heard my name being called. I put my drawings away, and headed towards above deck

"There you are, Miku. Come along, we're visiting Jay's home" Uncle Wu said

When we left the ship, I noticed the dragons were missing

"Uncle Wu, where are the dragons?" I asked

"They left to molt their scales, meaning they're going through a transformation before they can become an adult. So, they left for the Spirit Coves, but unfortunately, I have no idea when they'll return" Uncle Wu said

"I see. But I know they'll come back" I said as I grabbed my uncle's hand, and we started walking

Couple of hours later~

'My feet are starting to hurt' I thought to myself

"Hey, Cole? Can you give me a piggyback ride? My feet are starting to hurt" I asked, and Cole smiled

"Sure. Hop on!" Cole bend down so I can climb on his back, and I heard the sound of the flute playing. I turned my head to see Uncle Wu playing the flute

"That flute, you never told us why it's so special" Zane said

"Long ago, there were many flutes, created to combat the powers of the Serpentine and drive them underground. But over time, Ninjago's forgotten its ancestors' wisdom, and now this is the only one" After Uncle Wu finished telling the story, he started playing it again

"I get the lesson, respect your elders or else suffer the consequences. Boy, you guys are laying it on thick" Jay said, making Uncle Wu laugh

"Perhaps you are only hearing what you need to hear" Uncle Wu said, and I can see a big sign

'I wonder if that's the place?' I thought to myself, and noticed Jay is getting suspicious about something

"What is it?" Nya asked

"It's quiet. My family is never quiet" Jay pulled over his hood, and rushed towards the junkyard

When we entered the junkyard, I felt shivers going on my spine

"Miku? You okay?" Cole asked as I jumped off of his back and ran hugged my uncle's leg

"Something is here" I said, and we heard grunting noises coming from the fridge, Jay opened it and found his parents tied up with duct tape covering their mouths

"What happened? Who did this?" Jay asked as he removed the duct tape from their mouths

"Sweetheart, you came" Jay's mom said, and I noticed she has fangs

"You gotta get out of here. You shouldn't have come. It's the ssssnakes!" Jay's dad said

"The bite of the Fangpyre! Once they sink their teeth, their venom can turn anything into a serpent. It's only a matter of time before the full transformation is complete" Uncle Wu said and we heard hissing sounds

Coming from behind some junk, was a wrecking ball, but scary looking and the Fangpyres

"Uh... Is that wrecking ball staring at me?" Cole asked

The wrecking ball swung towards us, Uncle Wu picked me up and jumped aside from the ball

"Miku, are you alright?" Uncle Wu asked

"Yeah" I answered, and we heard evil laughter that sounded familiar. We looked up and we saw Lloyd

"Lloyd!"

"Hello, Uncle. Looks like we're not the only family reunion. I'm glad you brought the ninja; I could use some help taking out the trash" Lloyd said and laughed again

"Brother!" I called out to him

"Miku?! W-What are you doing here!?" Lloyd asked

"Do you know..."

"Thissss girl?" The Fangpyre leader asked

"She's my twin sister. Do not harm her, got it? Only attack the ninja" Lloyd said to the leader who nodded

Then the Fangpyre started to attack, of course Jay went first due to how they messed with his family, and the others joined in. I stayed with Uncle Wu because I still have no idea how to fight, and snakes slowly started to surround us. Uncle Wu pulled the flute and started playing it, the Fangpyres covered their ears to block the sound, while they were doing that, Nya took the opportunity to beat them

"I think we make a pretty good duet" Nya said, and we heard the sound of rock music playing. The music was coming from the boom box near Lloyd

"Young nephew, must I teach you whose side you should be on?" Uncle Wu said, pointing his staff at him

"Sorry, uncle, can't hear you!" Lloyd said as he raised the volume up

Without noticing a Fangpyre was about to bite Uncle Wu, luckily, Jay's mom hit the snake on the head

"Yeah! Way to go Edna!" Jay's dad said to his wife

Then the ground started to shake, coming from around the corner was a huge statue of what I'm guessing is Jay

"What is that thing?" Jay asked

"It was supposed to be in your honor, son. But do you like it?" Jay's dad asked

"Thanks, but no thanks" Jay said as he and the ninja started to run away

"I like it" I said to Jay's dad

"Thank you, sweetheart" Jay's dad said as he patted my head

Then we heard a loud thud, we looked and saw that Jay had knocked down the statue using the wrecking ball

"Retreat!" Lloyd said and the Fangpyres started to leave the junkyard

"Wait! Don't we need the staff to cure Jay's parents?" I asked

"Miku is right! We need to get the staff!" Nya said

"Ah... Right now, would be a good time to have those dragons" Jay said

"Unh, it'sss okay, sssson" Jay's dad said as he and his wife's skin started to turn green and sounding more snake like

"There is still a way" Uncle Wu said, gaining the ninjas attention

"How?" Jay asked

"Part of reaching your own full potential is understanding your weapons potential. Once it is in tune with a focused heart, its secrets and powers can be unlocked" Uncle Wu said and that made Jay feel frustrated

"What? This is not the time to be cryptic" Jay complained

"Uncle Wu is saying your weapons are the vehicles themselves. Just concentrate on unlocking your golden weapons" I said

"Let your heart guide you. Imagine you're taking flight" Uncle Wu said and Jay closed his eyes

Jay started to twirl around his golden weapon, and it changed to a jet

"Whoa! Ha Ha! Did I just do that?" Jay asked with amazement, the rest of the ninja did the same thing as Jay, they concentrated and finally turned their weapons into vehicles

"I hate to hurt Rocky's feelings, but I think he's just been replaced" Cole said, and they started to take off, catching up to the Fangpyres

"Does your flute turn into anything?" Nya asked

"I wish" Uncle Wu said

We all got inside Jay's parents' car, and Nya drove off. While driving through the desert, we saw Jay falling. Nya sped up to catch him, and he landed on the seat next to Nya

"Heh. Nice catch" Jay said and he's holding the staff too

"Oh, I knew I liked thisssss girl" Jay's mom said as her and the husband's appearance started to look more snake like, and Nya drove near the ninja, who were having the hard time trying to summon their vehicles again

"Why isn't it working?" Kai asked and Nya stopped the car near them

"Your weapon is merely an extension of your mind. If your mind is immobile, so is your weapon" Uncle Wu said

"Come on guys! Hop in!" I said and they all jumped in, and Nya drove off again

"We have to get back to headquarters!" Jay said

Finally, we made it back to the ship, Nya took Jay's parents to a different room to cure them from the venom

Uncle Wu and the ninja went to the control room to get the ship moving before the Fangpyre get here, I looked out the window and saw them coming

"Guys! They're almost here!" I shouted

"I've been waiting for this moment" Jay said as he pushed the red button, but nothing happened

"Hurry!" I said sounding panicked

"Ugh! I don't get what's wrong! I spent forever on this. It's supposed to work" Jay said as he hit the machine

"Uh, son, maybe I can help?" Jay's dad said

'His parents are cured! Thank goodness!' I felt relieved

"Dad! You're okay!" Jay said, sounding relieved too

"You're darn tooting. Oh, let's have a look" Jay's dad started to fix the machine and he finished in a minute "Oh, that should do it. Now try it" Jay pressed the red button again and the ship started to move. The ship started to fly up in the air, the ship shook a little, making Nya drop the staff and we finally took off

No One P.O.V Early Evening

Flying through the orange skies, Jay's parents were outside looking at the view, and Jay walked towards them

"We'll get you back to the junkyard just as soon as we see the coast is clear. But stay as long as you like. It's nice having you here" Jay said

"Oh, take a note Edna. Of all our inventions, this one is the greatest" Ed said to his wife

"I already know, dear" Edna tossed her notebook and hugged her son and husband. Peeking behind the screen door was Miku, who was looking at them with both happiness and a bit of jealously

She wishes her family were with her right now, but she still has her uncle. She left them alone and started heading to her room. When she got to her room, she found a big box of crayons and a note, she unfolded the note and started to read

I know it's not much, but here's a box of crayons I got for you. I know you still won't talk to me, but I'm sorry for how I acted. It wasn't your fault about what happened, and I shouldn't have taken my anger out on you. I hope I'll be able to regain your trust again someday

After reading the note, a smile appeared on her face. She left her room to find Kai, she checked the ninjas room first, there she found Kai laying on his bed. He looked down from his bed and noticed Miku

"Hey, Miku. What's up?" Kai asked

"Thank you for the crayons, Kai" Miku said "It's a good start on regaining my trust to you" Miku smiled at Kai and she left the room

"Looks like I have a lot of work to do" Kai said as he layed back down on his bed
