{The Realm Above is a 4-part short story set directly after the events of INSBIB--remember, this is some of my oldest work, lol. It's not really up to my current standards}

Father and I were exploring the Realm Above together. There were so many things to see and do! Father showed me how to do so many things, such as how to fish, what amazing foods there were to eat, and all the fun games there were! My memories of my family in Ninjago were growing foggy and were soon forgotten.

One day, we went to a fair. "Father, look! A roller coaster! May we ride it? Please?" I clasped his hand and begged him. Since we had gotten here, we both seemed a lot younger, and I felt like a child again.

I could see why I felt like that since my android body was long gone by now and I had a completely new body. Father was still well, Father, just much younger. He both acted and looked like he was much younger-- I would guess about 25. I would guess I now looked and acted as if I was a preteen, probably about 10 or 11.

It felt like I was reliving my entire life, as a normal human child in a normal world. In Ninjago, I was expected to be mature and logical, and begging was unacceptable. Here, Father and I were able to do anything we wanted, whenever we wanted. All we had to do was ask! He chuckled at my impatience and replied, "Of course we can ride Zane! Let's go!"

I smiled and took off at a run towards the ride line. "Hurry Father! Hurry!" I beckoned at him as he smiled and walked towards me, slower than I would've liked.

I ran back to him, grabbed his hand, and dragged him over to the line. As we waited in the line, a memory tugged at the corner of my mind. Hadn't I been somewhere like this before? But...I couldn't have though, could I? I had always been here, with Father, in the Realm Above, right? I... I didn't know anymore. My memories were getting foggy. What scared me most was that I found I didn't care. The present had to have been much better than anything past if I couldn't remember it, right?

"Jay rode this once before when he found his true potential at Mega Monster Amusement Park." I thought. "Jay? Who is that? I don't remember anyone by that name! And where is Mega Monster Amusement Park? I've never been there before." I shook my head to clear the thoughts away. I must be getting delirious from the heat of the warm summer days that the Realm Above always seemed to have. After all, I wasn't part air conditioner anymore! This human body was going to be hard to adjust to!

We got on the ride and secured our seatbelts over our laps. We climbed up the first hill and swung around the curves and twists of the ride, screaming and laughing the whole way! Oh, how long it had been since I had done anything like this!

It was...freeing. Human. So normal. We got off the ride, and my head started to hurt. "Father, I- I don't feel well," I told him, holding my head. "I think I need to sit down."

"Alright Zane, there's a bench right over there." He put a hand on my shoulder to guide me to a bench about 10 feet away. I started walking towards it... but I never made it. One second I was walking towards the bench, the next I was in darkness.

"Zane! My boy! Hold on, I'll help you..." was the last thing I heard before the darkness took over completely.
