~3rd POV~

Bip ! Bip ! Bip !

A cardiogram was oscillating while showing a patient's pulse rate.

There was a device around the patient's small index to measure it, a small index from a small hand, from a small body.

"..."

Someone else was present inside the room and observed particularly at the young patient...

"..."

Travis was in the coma, lying inside a hospital bed, but he already started to open his eyes.

~Travis' POV~

"..."

I was so exhausted.

I didn't even have the strength to move...

'Am I... still alive ?...'

I slowly opened my eyes: I could see a white light from my blurry vision...

But there was also a person.

"..."

I opened my eyes slightly more, as I noticed where I was finally.

It looked like... a hospital room.

The room was entirely white: the walls, the floor, the ceiling, and even the curtains.

A bright light was illuminating the room, and there was a few furniture as well, like a comfy chair, or a white table where we could put various things.

'It's look just like in some books I read in the real world...'

Strangely, I also noticed a sort of white mannequin of woman at the corner of the room. It looked like one of these statues wearing clothes we could see inside shop windows.

Well, this one was wearing a lot of pink: the blouse, the boots, the gloves... And even her fake medium hair was pink !

It's been such a while since I haven't seen all that modern stuff !

'Wait... Was I back in the real world ?...'

"Good evening, my boy.", told me a voice.

"?..."

On the right, I saw a man wearing a white coat. His was a dark-skinned elderly man of around 50 years old with a black beard and a pair of glasses.

He was carrying a notebook around his arm and his white coat had a small pocket containing some stuff like a few pens or a badge.

"W-who... who are you ?"

"You do not have to worry... I am the Dr Lambert, and you are under my responsibility during your period of hospitalization...", he explained you me kindly with a soft voice as he asked me. "How do you feel, right now ?"

"Well... I'm just... very tired.", I answered with a low voiced, feeling still exhausted as I checked at myself and noticed I was covered by a green sheet and lying in an hospital bed. Then, I became concerned. "W-what happened to me ?... Why am I at the hospital ?"

"Easy, easy... My boy... There is no need to stress out...", the doctor reassured me, as looked quite upset, as he declared me. "Though, you have the right to know the truth. A few days ago, we have found you unconscious, inside a building in the middle of an arson."

"!!!..."

Surprised, I continued to listen.

"We have managed to find you in time, and we brought you to the closest hospital... Then, you have been in a coma for at least 5 days..."

"5 days ?!..."

The Dr Lambert calmly nodded, aware of my worrying.

But what happened since I fell asleep inside the Blue Hell ?!

"..."

I sighed, and now, I was back in the real world.

The doctor put his hand over my shoulder.

"I understand it might be a shock for you... Thankfully, your life isn't in any danger, and you will recover pretty soon. Though, there is just a small detail I would like to tell you about."

I then watched him giving me a small mirror, making me concerned.

"W-what do you mean ?... !!!...", I then flinched of fear. "Please don't tell me I have a different face now !..."

"No, no... Your face is pretty normal, to me."

I then took the mirror.

"So, what's the prob... !!!", my eyes widened a bit as I quietly shouted. "M-my hair !... What happened to my hair ?!..."

I became surprised: I still had my beautiful dark brown hair... with one exception.

The tip of my strand of hair... it turned into a light blue color !

The same as were my blue lightnings !

The doctor then told me.

"Your strand of hair was like that when I found you... We have no idea how you got them, but it didn't seem like they were dyed... Do you have an idea what you happened to you to get your hair like that ?"

"...", I remained calm as I finally answered him. "I don't know..."

I didn't want to tell all the truth to him right now... I wouldn't be even sure if he will believe my story...

Maybe I must have used so many blue electricity, in the Blue Hell, that it turned that part of my hair in blue...

The doctor proposed me.

"Though, if that strand of hair bothers you, maybe we can cut it..."

"!!!...", I immediately hid my strand of hair protectively. "N-no thanks !... I... I just like that hair strand a lot !..."

Yeah. I think I liked my strand of hair.

In fact, it was like a part of my personality to me... And I guess it wasn't really a problem, for me, is there were blue !

The doctor calmly chuckled as spoke again.

"Anyway... As long as we haven't found you a legal guardian to take care of you, you will have to stay at the hospital during your recovering. Do you understand ?"

"Y-yeah, I do.", I answered calmly, feeling quite upset.

He then removed the thing from my finger which measured my heart rate as he checked his notebook.

"Well, I have to check another patient. The nurse will take care of you during my absence.", he declared to me when he left the room and walked through a corridor. "And most importantly, rest well."

"..."

I sighed calmly, feeling so tired but also concerned.

Now, I was back again in the real world, but I wanted to go back inside the game and see if the others were safe.

Though, I felt still so exhausted after all these fights...

In fact... maybe that wouldn't be a bad idea to stay here for a while just to recover.

'But next, how will I do to join the others ?...'

The yellow helmet man told me the switch I played was some kind of portal which led to the virtual world.

Maybe if I play again, I could return to Orsterra...

'I just need to return inside this white building... the one with all the computers and stuff... so I could find...'

"?!..."

On the left, there was a deep blue light which appeared behind the curtains for a while.

'What is that ?...'

I observed closely the curtains, and became curious. I fact, I didn't see often things which made blue light in the real world...

'Maybe it was just a passing car...'

Yeah... When I lived in my hut, I would often see yellow lights when cars are driving during the night...

But these lights... were blue.

...

A blue light appeared again through the curtain before disappearing right after !

'... that's weird...'

'I... I just need to check..'

I slowly decided to leave my bed from the left, and quietly stood on the floor.

I didn't have the clothes I wore when I was inside the blue hell. Instead, I was wearing a blue thick dress which even reached my knees, but I wasn't wearing any pants, and I was also barefooted.

My muscles were still so tired and I couldn't move too quickly, and there was also all that medical stuff, on the left, where some kind of transparent tube.

It looked like some kind of pump, connected with a device showing some numbers in litters. It was put on a metallic rod, where there was also a liquid which looked like water.

Maybe that was how the doctor made me drink water while I was asleep... I didn't know it was possible to drink without opening the mouth...

Anyway, it was well stuck on my arm, but I guess I shouldn't remove it. Like how Alfyn took care of me when I was hurt, I didn't want to remove what the doctor used to cure me, and I wasn't sure how it worked.

Roll roll !...

Thankfully, all that stuff was put on wheels, so I could move with them.

...

"!!!..."

The blue light appeared again, and this time, I heard that something was moving fast outside.

'But what is this...'

I just thought it was weird that a car would have such blue lights, during the night !

Indeed, there must be at least 3 of these cars, and what was also strange... I could see them from my window.

If these were really cars, how could we see these lights from the window ?

I approached a front of the curtains, a bit concerned by what was outside...

'"Can I help you, little one ?'", suddenly told me a female voice.

"!!!."

I flinched in surprise and suddenly turned towards the entrance of my room !...

But no one was present.

'Who spoke ?!...'

Confused I turned on my left, and noticed the female mannequin standing a front of me.

She looked so tall compared to me, as she was as tall as a real lady.

Strangely, I didn't remember she was turned in that sense.

And it feels like her eyes were... watching me.

By curiosity, I slowly approached my fingers towards her...

GZZZZ !!

"'Hello ! Little one !'"

"Ah !!!...", I jumped in fear !

The mannequin just suddenly moved forward and spoke with her lips moving !

She was also speaking with some kind of girly and robotic voice !...

'Is she... a robot ?!'

"'Allow me to present myself: I am 2Qt ! I'm the robot nurse who is programmed to take care you while the doctor is busy !"', she told me with a bubbly tone when she bent down and pinched my cheek with her gloved hand. '"Nice to meet you, sweetie !"'

"!!!..."

I became kinda annoyed by her nice gest, but I was also very surprised by the fact the nurse was a robot !

That was totally weird ! I never knew that robot nurses existed !

FLAAAASH !

I then turned my attention again towards the curtain where the blue light appeared several times, and I was sure there was something moving outside !

GZZZZZZZZ !

The robot also looked at the window, making high robotic sounds each time she moved when she looked at me and giggled.

'"Do you want me to open the curtain ?"', she proposed me positively but still opened it without I could answer. '"Here you go !'"

FLAAASH !

The robot let me advance a front of the window, as I could finally see what was outside !

"..."

FLAAASH !

I became completely speechless of what I saw.

"What the..."

~3rd POV~

FLAAASH !!

FRRRRRRRRRRRR !!

Outside the window, there was a something which was flying over from an elevation of 20 floors !

It made a futuristic engine sound, with blue lights spreaded around the wheels which were turned sideways, and the vehicle was maintaining a stable flight. It had

That's right: it was a flying car which passed at full speed a front of the hospital !

It looked like a normal one, except that it could fly !

FRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!

WII WOO WII WOO !

It was followed by others flying automobiles which were dashing at fast speed and also pursued by flying police cars !

It was the night outside, but it was still very illuminated.

Giant ad panels were present next to the buildings, supported by 2 flying platforms.

There were floors of crossroads many rows of flying cars driving at a moderate speed ! Indeed, groups of cars were driving at a different height without bumping into each other !

FLAASH !

A traffic light also flying place went from a red to green, displaying "GO" and letting pass a car queue.

There was even a flying truck which was flying steadily in place, which was actually being filled of merchandise boxes... from the opening roof !

But what was the most impressive were the buildings: there were black and white skyscrapers reaching the 30 flours of height, with some of them having a transparent elevator with people inside !

VRRRRRR ! VRRRRRR !!!

A group of flying drones were transporting giant boxes and going towards an unseen direction ! They were as big as cows !

A few skyscrapers were illuminated by many colours such as pink, green or blue, giving them a more appealing look.

Many panels' ads were digital screens placed either at roads intersection, or a front of building.

There was one, in particular, showing a family with 2 parents, 2 children and a dog.

It displayed the following quote...
