Raptor 'round Your Finger

Isla Nublar was perfect temperature that afternoon, with the sun in the sky shining strongly over the island. There was a warm breeze that rustled the trees and the tall grasses of the plains. It was peaceful with no sign of trouble in the distance.

Owen stood in the raptor paddock with Barry waiting in the car for him. He walked onto the walkway in his tux looking out to Blue, Yin and Yang who glanced up at him.

"Sorry guys, no rats right now. Can't afford to get dirty." he said. "The next time you guys see me, I'll be a married man."

Blue stepped forward and called up to him.

"Hey Blue, you're still my girl."

She chirped. "But Keira's my woman."

"Absolutely not!" Alan said as Keira sat in the backseat with him begging him to pull out at the plains.

"Please Dad, just for a moment." she said.

"Keira, your mother will kill me!" he said.

"She doesn't have to find out, I won't get dirty." she said.

Alan sighed. "Fine."

Keira got out of the car and ran over to the gate hoisting the dress up as she entered. Some of the dinosaurs turned their heads in her direction.

"I'm getting married today!" she called to them. "Wish me luck!"

Alan sat in the car with the windows down watching her with a smile as she yelled into the clearing. He stuck his head out of the window when he heard the dinosaurs letting out a series of calls.

"Alright, come on!" he said. "We're going to be late!"

"Isn't the bride always late to her wedding?"

"Oh, now you're a wedding expert."

Ian Malcolm looked to Owen who stood beside him.

"Ready?" he asked.

"Ready."

"Want some last minute advice?"

"Nope." Owen said. He could hear the car pull up as he looked over to see the familiar sanctuary car.

Alan stepped out wearing his suit, and his famous hat. Owen felt his heart pounding his chest as he heard the other car door close. Everyone arose. Keira came into view and he felt like his entire world just stopped.

He always thought it was a cliche' in love movies and stories that the whole world stops turning when people see their bride walking down the aisle. But it wasn't just a cliche' or an exaggeration, it was the truth. She was the only one right there before him as everyone else faded away.

She was beautiful. She was perfect.

Her dress was a mermaid fitted dress that fitted her slender body perfect. Her shoulders were bare in the strapless form showing off her sun kissed skin. Her hair was up in a way he had never seen but he couldn't complain. His vision slightly blurred. He reached his hand up quickly to wipe his eyes.

Keira stood before him with Alan who watched him before smiling. He kissed his daughter's cheek and then returned to Ellie's side.

Keira looked at him, her eyes glistening with tears before she sniffed with a small laugh wiping her eyes. "Mom told me not to cry." she said to him a low voice.

"It's just something stuck in both of our eyes."

Malcolm cleared his throat.

"Welcome, friends and family of Keira Grant and Owen Grady. Thanks for joining these two on what will be one of their most remembered and special days of the rest of their lives. Unless they're like me, then there will be several others like this."

Keira and Owen looked at him sternly.

"Anyways, today is the day these two will join in a very special love called marriage." Owen squeezed her hand as Keira hiccuped slightly.

"You have all witnessed the strength of this couple and I can say without a doubt that nothing could destroy their bond. Today we're gathered to make this permanent bond official...in government terms."

Keira chuckled along with Owen. She stretched her hand out to him and wiped away the tears that were falling from his eyes.

"You guys have been on many adventures together and today just marks the start of a new one. Your friends and family are here to witness it. "

"I'm here for the food!" Doug called out causing everyone to snicker.

Malcolm shook his head before continuing. " Keira and Owen not only love each other romantically, they loved each other as friends. They are each others best friend. They laugh together, tease each other, and share everything with one another. That builds a strong foundation in marriage."

Keira was only half listening to Malcolm as her focus was on Owen who smile just seemed to grow wider and wider. She could hear her mother crying along with Mrs.Grady. She stole a glance and saw the women holding onto each other as each man tried to appear strong beside their wife.

"The couple would like to take this time and exchange their vows."

Owen was up first. He took a deep breath before he locked eyes with her.

"Every time I look at you, I find something else to fall in love with and it just makes me love you more and more everyday. At this point, I can't even imagine anyone loving anything or anyone more than I love you. I love your laugh, your smile, your stubbornness, your dedication and...that blush." he said with a goofy grin as she turned red. "I can't wait to spend every day of my life with you because at the end of it, it still wouldn't be enough time with you." he placed the ring on her finger.

Zach looked over to his Aunt who was bawling on Lowery's shoulder before looking to Doug.

"Women." he said,"Fragile emotional creatures. The two looked over to see Lowery start crying as well.

"Dude." Doug shook his head.

Keira didn't even care about her makeup anymore as she cried but she was so happy.

"Keira..." Malcolm prompted her.

"Owen Grady, before I got here my mom asked me about the first time I got the butterflies in my stomach when you were around. And as I thought about it, all these memories flashed through my head. Happy memories with you that I could never forget. From our first stroll in the plains at night, eating Barry's chicken noodle soup to making raptor noises at each other."

Owen drew his arms into his chest.

"All I want to do is continue making these memories so when I look back when I'm old and gray all I do is smile by your side." She put the ring on his finger.

"By-" Malcolm stopped as Owen grabbed Keira's hand taking her into a kiss.

She wrapped her arms around his neck smiling  before Owen deepened the kiss pulling her in closer to his body closing any gaps between them.

"Ahem!" Alan said. Keira laughed pulling away.

"We just have one last part left guys...give me a second." Malcolm said. "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride, Owen." he said.

Owen leaned in and pecked her sweetly on the lips. "I love you." he whispered to her.

"I love you too."

"Give it up everybody as I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Grady."
