Zach entered the plains on his own for the first time as Keira wanted him to experience, but as Claire continued to fight the idea, Keira offered him to take Dino with him. Dino never left his side as if guarding him. He had his clipboard in hand to go monitor and observe his herd. He had been placed over the microceratus herd as his independent project. He couldn't believe as he stood there that it was actually happening to him.

He remembered when he first arrived to the island back when his parents sent him and Gray for a vacation. He was so uninterested in the dinosaurs at the time, his focus all about his girlfriend at the time who claimed she would miss him terribly. But since he had been there this time around, she had hardly messaged him. But he didn't care, if anything he didn't think of her anymore. His focus was on the dinosaurs.

He woke up early in the mornings to check up on them or to tag along with Keira who gave a few web came seminars about the dinosaurs. The amount of knowledge she and Owen had about dinosaurs amazed him. He could only imagine what Keira's parents were like as she claimed she learned most of her knowledge from them. He was looking forward to meeting the Grant family at the wedding.

With the wedding nearing Keira and Owen were constantly busy with calls and trying to run the sanctuary but somehow they always made time to see him throughout the day. Keira often radioed him to check on him when he was working with Doug or Lisa.

"How's it going out there skipper?" Doug's voice called out on his radio.

"It's going good. I found the herd."

"Good. Just be careful out there."

"I'm good. I have Dino with me." he said. Dino barked upon seeing Eve.

"Alri-" the radio broke in and out.

"What?" he called back but was met with static.

Keira was investigating in carnivore territory with a few workers as one of the interns had reported a possible plant being nightshade which was highly poisonous. Keira observed the plants but saw nothing that resembled the deadly plant.

"Who reported seeing it?" she asked.

Greg looked down to his clipboard. "It doesn't say." he said. "Just was written down."

Keira frowned. "And in this area?"

"Yeah."

She grabbed her radio and went to call Lowery but only heard static. "Shit, the radios are down." she said.

The ground started rumbling. 'Not again." she muttered. She looked back and saw what looked to be a bunch of Baryonyx running.

"Get out of the way!" The group dodged the stampeding dinosaurs who didn't even seem to bother looking at them.

"What are they running from?" Greg asked. 

"I don't know."

Her radio came back on. "Keira! We had another power interference." Lowery said.

"Yeah no kidding.Any idea what spooked the Baryonyx they just ran passed us like they were being chased by a gang of T-Rex."

"No, but all the dinosaurs are heading away from the gates and heading to the center." 

She furrowed her brow. "Alright, we're going to check it out."

"We are?" Greg swallowed.

"Lowery, what's happening in the plains?" she asked as they made their way to the vehicles.

"Same thing, away from the gates to the center." he said.

"Tell Zach to get out of there now!" She looked to Greg and the other workers. 

"Go to the center and see what's going on. I have to get Zach."

"You got it."

Zach was sitting in the plains taking data when Dino suddenly perked his head and flattened his ears. He looked around to see all the other dinosaurs stop what they were doing. Dino let out a whine before getting on his feet.

"What is it boy?" The dinosaurs began moving rapidly and Dino barked at him before pulling at his shirt.

'Hey!" Dino released barking at him and then running.

"Dino!" The dinosaurs were on the move and Zach was in the way.

He began running as the animals stampeded from all directions, he dodged several of them following Dino who was still barking. He came to a halt to avoid colliding with a triceratops.

He grabbed his radio. "I need help!" he called.

Owen was working to get the girls in their halters with Barry when they suddenly began screeching and running around.

"What the hell...stop it guys! It's just your halters." Yin and Blue echoed Yang's calls. He looked over to see Yang on the opposite side smashing himself into the gate.

"Yang!" he called but Blue and Yin began biting at the divider.

"They're trying to get out or away from something."

Keira drove like a maniac until she reached the plains, the gates were down and she couldn't gain access.

"Shit!" She threw down her things and began climbing over it quickly. She dropped to the ground landing on her feet before taking off making her way to the center. She caught sight of Zach in the mix of confusion and chaos.

"Zach!" she called to him.

"Keira!"

"It's alright, " she said. "Just stay put."

"That's easier said than done!" he yelled back. She saw Dino beside him, his tail tucked between his legs as the dinosaurs move in panic to the center. She reached her way to them and grabbed Zach pulling him through and hiding down behind a boulder. Dino greeted her  hiding his face under her arm with a whine. Before she could react, Zach wrapped her in a hug holding onto her tightly as he was breathing heavily.

"It's alright." she told him. "It's alright." She was attempting to catch her breath. Dino, finally lifted his head, his ears were upright and his tail. Keira observed him and then peered over the rock, the dinosaurs seemed to be in a calmer state.

"Keira?!" Claire's voice screamed through the radio.

She grabbed it. "We're okay." she said before dropping it and giving Zach a comforting hug.

They walked around the dinosaurs who seemed to act like nothing had happened as they began roaming around.

"What do you think spooked them?" Zach asked her, he was close to her as he held onto her arm.

'I don't know. But it scared the hell out of the carnivores too. They ran to the center as well."

"Owen said the raptors freaked out too."

"If it's not one thing it's another." she sighed. "I do not need this right now."

"Thanks for coming to get me."

'You don't have to thank me for that Zach."

"I know that but I want to, you've saved my life countless times."

"You're under my care at this sanctuary. I'll do it as many times as I can." she told him with a smile. "Let's head back, your aunt is probably choking Lowery right now."

When they arrived to the control room, Owen grabbed her into a hug as Claire snatched Zach up tightly.

"Oh god, I was so worried." she said.

"Lowery what happened out there?"

"I-I don't know." he said, his face falling. "The system seems to just be spazzing out. It's like shutting itself down and then turning it back on."

"Is this like some Terminator shit?" Owen began. "Because I can only deal with dinosaurs, I'm not dealing with androids."

"Technically, Terminator was a cyborg." Lowery said.

Everyone looked at him. "I'm just saying."

"That doesn't matter right now." Claire said.

"We need to get the sanctuary under control." Keira said.

"Yeah, we have people coming for a wedding here in a couple of days. And the wedding is a little over two weeks away. " Claire reminded everyone.

"Lowery," Owen said. "Can you create a new program to run the sanctuary?"

"Yes I can, I think. But it'll take me a couple of days."

"Whatever it takes Lowery," Keira told him. "We can help out in anyway we can."
