Chapter 4- The Meeting

We walked into a bar and I sat by myself at another table where I ordered a sake. It was the first time I've drank alcohol and it tasted really weird.

"First time drinking alcohol?" I heard someone ask, I jumped when I realized a man was sitting next to me. I laughed lightly.

"You scared me. I didn't even notice you there. Is it that noticeable?" I asked, trying not to look like an idiot.
He was really handsome, about as big as Daichi. He laughed.

"Yes it's pretty noticeable. So what's a beautiful young woman doing drinking by herself?" He asked.

"Well I was with a group but I don't fit in with them at all so here I am." I said, pointing over to Ren and the others.

"Oh I see, so they brought you, but wouldn't even include you. What assholes, they're not all that great anyways. All they do is drink and Ren sleeps around all the time. Trust me you ain't missing anything." He said glancing over at them and back to me.

"You know them?" I asked.

"Well I should, I'm their half brother. I'm the black sheep of the family, the oldest. I'm my fathers late wife's son, so they don't associate with me. They consider me an outsider because my mother was a peasant. Hell my own father doesn't even consider me as his son. That's probably why he never mentioned me." He said, looking down.

"Why would he do that your still his son? That's not right to treat your own child in such a way." I asked and he just looks at me.

"You know you're the first person to ever say that." He smiled. I poured him some sake.

"Well I am a kitsune I can relate." I joked and he drank it. We talked for a couple hours and joked around. He was actually a lot of fun and he was really sweet. I started downing the bottle with ease as my head swam.

"Don't do that your going to make yourself sick." He laugh and I started getting dizzy.

"Next time I'm listening to you." I said, as my head hit the table.

"My head feels all funny." I slurred.

"That's because your drunk." He said, sarcastically. When I realized the others left without me.

"What's that?" I asked.

"Oh dear. Okay come on baby girl." He said, standing and picking me up. I groaned as he carried me out the door.

"Where we going?" I asked.

"I'm taking you home so you can rest." He said, and the next thing I know I'm laying on a bed.

"What happened?" I asked, trying to sit up still feeling hazy.

"You blacked out while I was carrying you it's only been about 20 minutes so you can relax and rest." He said, pushing me back down gently.
He covered me up with a soft brown blanket. But almost instantly i got dizzy and very nauseous, I bolted into the bathroom and vomited I'm the toilet. He held my hair back for me as I puked and rubbed my back. Tears seeped from my eyes.

"Its okay. I'm gonna take care of you." He whispered, his voice was so soothing. When I was done he wiped my mouth with a wet cloth and wiped my tears off my cheeks with his hands. Then he helped me get in the tub. He helped me get cleaned up.

"Isn't this uncomfortable for you?" I asked, as he washed my hair.

"Nope. Besides I don't mind I lived alone my whole life. My mother died when I was very young and my father never wanted anything to do with me, he always called me an accident. Plus everyone around me always ends up leaving anyways." He shrugged, that's when I knew that me and him were the same. I wanted to protect him. I hugged him.

"Umm..." He said, lost in words. I let go when I realized his face was red.

"Sorry." I apologized.

"Its fine baby girl." He replied and I flushed. Then I dried off and he helped me slip on an outfit. It was the first time I wore pants and I gotta say I liked them a lot better then I liked the kimono. He brushed my hair out and left me to relax. I spotted him reading so I walked up behind him. But I couldn't read the words and struggled to, he looked up at me and realized what I was doing.

"You want to read?" He asked.

"Umm I don't know how.." I said, he stared at me shocked.

"Come here." He sighed, I walked over and he pulled me onto his lap. He flipped it to the beginning and started reading it to me. It was a story about a lone warrior who went on a journey to become stronger. It was a very long and perilous journey. I loved listening to him read it. I ended up falling asleep on him.
