Chapter 2- Sold
I woke up when Aiya husband's shook me awake.
"Come on Yuki its time to go." He said, I got up when I lost my balance and Aiya caught me.
"At least let me fix her hair." She said, setting me down in a sitting position.
"Fine but make it quick." He commanded and left. She let my hair down and brushed it. She braided it and slipped a beautiful kimono on me. Then she helped me walk and get down the stairs. Her husband was waiting at the door with the cage. She walked me over. When she turned me to her and put her hands on my shoulders.
"Yuki I need you to promise me that you'll be a good girl. No matter how hard things get. Please promise me you'll always keep your head up high and always keep smiling." She hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her and she kissed my forehead.
Then I got in the cage. He shut it and covered it. They carried me out to the carriage. I watched through the thin covering as he got in the front. It wasn't that long of a ride to the palace. When he stopped in front palace we we're greeted by a samurai.
"Hello Daichi. Is your father still looking for a kitsune?" He asked the samurai.
"Yes Hayato he's been having the samurais and ninjas all looking throughout the forest." Daichi said, when I peeked out the cover at him. He was very tall, handsome, and muscular. He has deep blue eyes, tan skin, and long black hair that was pulled back. He was wearing black armor with a long sword strapped to his side.
"Well I caught a young female nine tails in one of my traps the other day and she's quite beautiful." He said, pointing at the cage when Daichi noticed I was watching them.
"Really we've searched everywhere, haven't found anything, and you catch one in a trap." He said climbing back to the cage. Then he pulled the cover off.
"She is beautiful." He said, opening it when he seen my legs.
"Did the trap do this?" He asked, examining them.
"Yes." I said, he looked at me confused.
"You can speak?" He questioned.
"Yes quite well actually." I answered.
"That's good. So you have a name?" He asked.
"Yuki." I replied.
"Yuki that's a beautiful name." He smiled.
"Not to be rude but it's kinda cramped in here how long do I have to stay like this?" I asked.
"Oh sorry come on I'll just take her in now no reason to keep her caged up." He said pulling me out.
"Okay go ahead. She's pretty well behaved she wouldn't give you any trouble." Hayato said, handing him a chain. He took it and hooked it up to my hand cuffs. Then he pulled me out. But I still wasn't good at standing on my own so I stumbled out of the carriage. Everyone on the the streets stopped and got silent when they seen me.
"Can you give me a minute I'm still not used to walking?" I asked, he walked over.
"Ya take your time take it slow I don't want you falling on your face." He said, lending me his hand. I took it and started moving my legs like him. Till I was doing it on my own. Then he let go. I smiled like an idiot when I didn't fall.
"Very good I knew you'd get the hang of it." He smiled, then he walked me in. The inside was huge and there was a lot of people. I hid behind him. He chuckled.
"Why you hiding no one is going to hurt you?" He asked, reassuring me.
"I don't like being around this many people." I replied, practically glued to his back. He walked through the halls to the throne room. When he stopped.
"Hello father, Hayato brought a gift if it's to your liking." He exclaimed.
"It better not be another fur." I heard a man reply when I realized it was the king.
"Try a young female kitsune." Daichi replied, pulling me out from behind him. The king froze when he seen me and got up from his throne. He walked over. He lifted my chin to get a good look at my face.
"She's so beautiful how old is she. She looks pretty young and does she have a name?" He asked.
"Its Yuki and I'm 17." I said, giving a slight bow to be respectful. He laughed.
"I'll take her she adorable and so well mannered. Here I was expecting a wild animal and instead I got a beautiful young woman." He noticed my legs wrapped in bandages.
"What happened to her legs." He demanded angrily.
"I got caught in a metal trap." I answered. He looked at me.
"Well don't you worry about it sweetie we'll get you fixed up." He said, unchaining me.
"Can you handle giving Hayato his payment for her." He continued. Daichi nodded and left.
"So tell me a little about yourself." He said, pulling me over to a table. He put me on the table so he could get a better look at my legs.
"Well I grew up in the forest. I don't have any family and I've spent pretty much my whole life alone." I said, when he put medicine on my legs and bandaged them.
"Well you'll never have to again. We're your family now." He said, as I pushed myself off the table and hugged him. I could tell he wasn't expecting it because of how he reacted. He was shocked. Then he hesitantly hugged me.
"Can I go for a walk I'm still getting used to walking?" I asked, pulling away.
"Yes you can go where ever you want. Your not a prisoner. But take this with you." He said, handing me a sword with a blue handle and sheath. I took it and strapped it to my waist. Then I ran out the front door of the palace. I walked down the streets all through out town. The houses were beautiful. When I realized I had no idea where I was. I sighed.
"Nice going Yuki." I said, to myself. When I ran into someone. It was a man who looked kinda like Daichi except smaller, younger, slim, and he had brown hair. He must be his younger brother. When i noticed their was a young woman clinging to his arm.
"Sorry I wasn't watching where I was going." I said, when he looked at me.
"Watch where your going." He said, coldly pushing me out of the way.
'The hell.' I thought to myself. Then it started pouring rain and my tails came out. I was soaked and I hated water.
"Well that's just great." I said, as I crossed my arms across my chest trying to stay warm. It was freezing. Even my fox ears and tails went down cause I was so cold. When I started walking someone grabbed my shoulder. It was Daichi.
"Daichi you startled me. I got lost can you tell how to get back?" I asked.
"Sorry Yuki I'm a bit busy at the moment." He said, when noticed his brother, the girl that was with him, and another girl were standing behind. I looked away.
"Okay well thanks anyways." I said, shivering. I turned and walked away.
"Yuki." I heard him call out my name as I walked away but I ignored it. I just kept walking. I walked for hours. Suddenly I started feeling dizzy. Then the next thing I know i was in my fox form. I climbed out of my dress and grabbed it with my teeth. Till I found a hollowed out tree to sleep in. I dragged my dress in it and laid on top of it. When I started sneezing from being out in the rain. When I felt something wrap around me.
"It'll be okay my dear sweet Yuki." A very familiar voice said, petting my head. I knew I curled up and fell asleep.
