It was the day of Barbara's operation in which Dr. Harrison Wells was to cure Barbara of her paralysis at STAR Labs. The method in question was through a regenerative serum that Harrison himself discovered. In attendance of Barbara's operation was her father Jim and her husband Tim. The procedure was to be done through a syringe. Barbara wasn't the biggest fan of needles. But if this meant she'd get her ability to walk back, Barbara was willing to grin and bear it. Dr. Wells assured Barbara that she would be asleep when the procedure would occur. As Barbara was asleep, Dr. Wells inserted the serum in the center of Barbara's hip, which was where Joker had shot her. Dr. Wells also had a screen to show an X-Ray to show what the serum was doing inside Barbara's body. The X-Ray screen showed cells of the serum working on Barbara's severed spine, and reviving the once defunct nerves in her legs. It took an hour, but the regenerative serum caused Barbara's once broken spine to now be reattached and connect with the legs, feet, and toes, curing Barbara of her paralysis and ensuring her ability to walk again. But her legs were not the only thing that was fixed. The Joker's bullet had also destroyed Barbara's womb, which would have made her unable to bear children. But thanks to the regenerative serum, Barbara's womb was also revived, ensuring that she would be able to have children.

A few hours after the procedure, Barbara was napping in the medical bay area at STAR Labs. By her side was her father Jim. A few minutes later, Barbara slowly opened her eyes, yawning. Jim smiled and said, "hello princess." Barbara smiled and said, "hey Daddy... How long was I out?" Jim shrugged and said, "eh, a few hours. The procedure's done by the way." Barbara stretched her neck and said, "Well that's good. Where's Tim?" Jim looked around and said, "he's using the bathroom." A few seconds later, Tim came back and noticed his wife was awake. "Hey there good looking," he said, and smiled. He walked over to her and kissed her. "Hey you," said Barbara as she blushed. "How do you feel?" Tim asked. "A lot better actually," she replied, "I think I needed that nap." Tim looked at her and said, "you want to run some tests?" Barbara nodded in excitement. "Alright, let's start simple," said Tim as he pulled down the blanket, revealing Barbara's bare feet. Barbara looked at her feet and said to herself, "Alright, wiggle your big toe." In less than a minute, her big toe started to move!

Barbara gasped in surprise. She hadn't wiggled her toes in years. Pretty soon her other toes were wiggling. "Oh my gosh, my toes are moving!" Barbara said in excitement. "It really works!" Tim said happily. "I see you're slowly regaining your mobility," said Dr. Wells as he walked in. "Thank you so much Dr. Wells!" Barbara said, grateful to be given this ability back. "Of course Mrs. Drake," said Harrison, "take a couple weeks of physical therapy, and you'll be up and kicking again. I'd encourage several massaging methods, but I wouldn't recommend any intercourse for at least a month. Also, your womb has reactivated, so you'll now be physically capable of bearing children. Any questions?" Barbara smiled and said, "Well this news keeps getting better and better."

After many weeks of physical therapy and rehabilitation, Barbara was now capable of walking again. She never took this for granted. One day, Tim came in and said, "hey hun. I wanted to surprise you with something." Barbara looked at him and asked, "what's the surprise?" Tim got out a CD player and said, "Well, I know how much you loved to dance..." He then played the song Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding, which was one of Barbara's favorite songs. Tim then offered his hand and asked, "may I give you this dance, Barbara?" Barbara smiled, took Tim's hand and said, "yes, you may..." She then let Tim hold her close as they slow-danced to one of her favorite songs. She felt so happy to finally stand on her own and dance like she used to. She kept on wondering if this was all a dream and when she'd have to wake up, but thankfully all this was real. As the song ended and they finished slow-dancing, Barbara smiled and said, "I love you Tim..." She then kissed him on the lips. Tim smiled and said, "I love you too Barbara."
