Chapter Seven: The Tour

Damon sat stirring in his cell for an hour. He just couldn't figure out who had pulled Drew several years before they landed. But then he thought of something.

"You won't be able to keep me down for long."

These were Satan's final words before going back in the pit. Could this be his doing?

Damon's thoughts scattered as his cell door opened. A familiar face stood in the doorway.

"Why?" Damon asked. "Why did you listen to that voice? After all we went through with Satan? And how manipulative we know the world can get? Why?"

Drew decided not to answer.

"Come with me," he said.

Damon did as he was told and followed his brother up a set of stairs. He was led outside and shown to the dinosaur that he saw defeated earlier.

"You see that?" Drew asked, pointing towards the dinosaur where men were stripping it for meat.

"That's our everyday life. We kill. We gather. We eat. Every day. Except for me. I was always treated like royalty." He let things sink in for a second.

"Come. I wanna show you something else."

Damon was led out of the cave and into a much darker, smaller one near the original. They stepped inside, and eventually reached a wooden box.

"This is him," Drew said, looking down at the box. "This is the man who raised me for twenty years. Look, there's a picture." Drew pointed up at a painting of him. There was an elderly man with a long, white beard and tiger hide for clothing. He wielded a spear with a T-Rex tooth at the end of it.

"Where is everyone else?" Damon asked.

"Keith, intensive care. Finn, lockup. Zach, lockup. And Noelle will be on tour number two," Drew said. "And now, you'll be going to a fancy, little bedroom."

"Why?" Damon asked.

"I want you to rule Taregonia with me. We would be such great leaders. And you already have experience with your team. What do you say?"

"No. No, I won't. What I will do is help you snap out of it so we can find out who sent us here and why."

"Then back to your cell you go then." Damon was back to his cell and Drew slammed the door shut.

"I'll be back to ask again. No food until you say yes. Better pray for your friends, too." Drew glared at his brother through the bars.

"If you touch a hair on their heads, I'm gonna--"

"What? I've got your watch." Drew held up the watch. "Good luck," he taunted as he walked away.
